We explore through two simple models, the first in which scalars are treated as fundamental and the second in which they are composite objects, the possibility that representations containing doubly charged scalars may participate in the spontaneous breakdown of the SU(2) × U(1) symmetry of electroweak interactions. We show that such exotic Higgs bosons may posses unsuppressed coupling to pairs of gauge vector bosons and comment on the observability of these charged Higgs bosons through the Cahn-Dawson mechanism in high-energy hadron colliders. 相似文献

A new chain diagram formula is derived for many-body systems in such a way that an ideal gas term does not explicitly appear. This form is simpler and more convenient than the previously known expression. The result is applied to a charged boson gas under different conditions. It is found that exponential type decrease of the correlations for large distances changes into 1/r8 type decrease at the transition point. 相似文献

We searched for pair production of charged Higgs bosons via e+e− annihilation, using data (23.3 pb−) collected by the TOPAZ detector in the energy range
. We observed no evidence for charged Higgs pair production and extended the excluded region in the MH±---BR (hadron) plane. The 95% CL lower mass limit is the most stringent for BR (hadron) = 0.6, giving mH±<22 GeV. 相似文献

A search for pair produced charged Higgs bosons has been performed in the high energy data collected by DELPHI at LEP with
, 172 and 183 GeV. The analysis uses the τντν,
and
final states and a combination of event shape variables, di-jet masses and jet flavour tagging for the separation of a possible signal from the dominant W+W− and QCD backgrounds. The number of selected events has been found to be compatible with the expected background. The lower excluded value of the H± mass obtained by varying the H±→ hadrons decay branching ratio has been found to be 56.3 GeV/c2. 相似文献

For a model with the SU(2)L×SU(2)R×U(1){B−L} gauge group, the passage of neutrino flux through a substance is studied. It is shown that Higgs charged physical bosons
can considerably change the potential of neutrino interaction with the solar substance. An analytical expression for the survival
probability of left-handed electron neutrinos is derived in the two-flavor approximation.

The probabilities of the associated production of a Higgs boson with a Z boson by a charged lepton in the field of a plane electromagnetic wave of arbitrary intensity and in a constant crossed field
are obtained. The behavior of the cross section of the process as a function of the particle energies and the external field
intensity is investigated for various values of the Higgs boson mass. It is shown that there is a logarithmic increase in
the photoproduction cross section at superhigh energies up to a value significantly exceeding the cross section of the reaction
e
++e
−→Z+H, which is presently regarded as the most probable channel for the production of Higgs bosons.
