Measurements of charged kaon semileptonic decay branching fractions K±→π0μ±ν and K±→π0e±ν and their ratio

In an earlier paper [1], the background for K_e3 was over estimated due to an erroneous calculation of the electron identification efficiency. The correct ratios of the partial widths involving this channel are and . Assuming the PDG value [2] for the K_2π branching ratio, the measured branching fraction of Br (K_e3) continues to exceed the current PDG value [2]. The extracted value of |V_us|f₊(0) is in agreement with the CKM unitary prediction; thus, our conclusions in [1] do not change. The online version of the original article can be found at     

Non-factorizable contributions in D0→π+π- decay

We have analyzed the D^0→π^+π^- decay with α_s corrections in quantum chromodynamic (QCD) factorization and with the soft-gluon corrections in the light cone QCD sum rules. The soft-gluon effects are firstly calculated in the decay channel. The results show that once the factorization contributions, the α_s corrections, and the soft-gluon effects are all considered, we can satisfactorily explain the experimental data in the decay channel.     

τ→π±2π0v结构函数的测量

首次对τ→π^±2π⁰v衰变的结构函数进行了模型无关的实验测量,并与KS模型、IMR模型和Feindt模型进行了比较,在误差范围内,三种理论模型与实验结果一致.与OPAL组测量的τ→3π^±v道的结构函数相比,在0.52范围内未发现明显差异.     

e+e－→π+π－π+π－形状因子拟合

基于BABAR实验组对e⁺e^－→π⁺π^－π⁺π^－的反应截面的测量结果, 用VMD模型给出的理论截面拟合实验数据, 首次从单一反应道得到π⁺π^－π⁺π^－末态形状因子的所有参数值.     

通过τ→a1v→π±π0π0v道测量由Z0衰变的τ的极化不对称性

利用L3合作组1992年和1993年的数据,通过τ→a₁v→π^±π⁰π⁰v道测量了由Z⁰衰变的τ的极化不对称性A_pol=－0.239±0.126±0.100,其中第一项误差为统计误差,第二项误差为系统误差.由此推断有效电弱混合角sin²θ_w=0.2197±0.0219.     

ρ0 production the reaction ξξ→3π+3π?ξξ→ρ0ρ0(1700)

We have studied the ⁰ production rate in the reaction 3⁺3^– in the energy range 1.6W 7.5 GeV with the CELLO detector at PETRA. Our analysis points to a substantial yield of ^00+– events in particular atW >4.0 GeV. We give cross sections for the ⁰2⁺2^– and ^00+– final states and calculate upper limits for the reaction ⁰⁰ (1700) ^00+–.Now at CERN     

Study of W-Exchange Mode D0 → ФK0

We calculate the branching ratio of rare decay D^0→ФK using the perturbative QCD factorization approach based on kT factorization. Our result shows this branching ratio is （8.7 ± 1.4） x 10^-3, which is consistent with experimental data. We hope that the CLEO-C and BES-Ⅲ can measure it more accurately, which will help us to understand QCD dynamics and D meson weak decays.     

Measurement of the e+e-→W+W- cross section and W decay branching fractions at LEP

From a total data sample of 701.1 pb^-1 recorded with e⁺e^- centre-of-mass energies of 161–209 GeV with the OPAL detector at LEP, 11693 W-pair candidate events are selected. These data are used to obtain measurements of the W-pair production cross sections at 10 different centre-of-mass energies. The ratio of the measured cross sections to the standard model expectation is found to be: , where the uncertainties are statistical, experimental systematics and theory systematics respectively. The data are used to determine the W boson branching fractions, which are found to be consistent with lepton universality of the charged current interaction. Assuming lepton universality, the branching ratio to hadrons is determined to be 67.41±0.37(stat.)±0.23(syst.)%, from which the CKM matrix element |V_cs| is determined to be 0.969±0.017(stat.)±0.012(syst.). The differential cross section as a function of the W^- production angle is measured for the qqeν and qqμν final states. The results described in this paper are consistent with the expectations from the standard model. This paper is dedicated to the memory of Ben Shen.     

τ±→π±+nπ0+ντ(n=0,1,2)衰变分支比测量

基于北京谱仪收集的4.03GeV质心系能量下e⁺e^－对撞数据,分析τ^±τ^±→e^±+π^±+nπ⁰+ν's(n=0,1,2)事例,给出分支比值Br(τ^±→π^±ν_τ)=(11.64±0.49^+0.76_－0.73%,Br(τ^±→π^±π⁰ν_τ)=(24.00±1.34^+1.36_－1.30%,Br(τ^±→π^±2π⁰ν_τ)=(9.39±1.68^+1.69_－1.66%.     

Analysis of the decay B0→χclπ0 with light-cone QCD sum rules

In this article,we calculate the contribution from the nonfactorizable soft hadronic matrix element to the decay B~0→χc1~π~0 with the light-cone quantum chromo-dynamic(QCD) sum rules.The numerical results show that its contribution is rather large and should not be neglected.The total amplitudes lead to a branching fraction which is in agreement with the experimental data marginally.     

J/ψ→π03(π+π－)分支比的测定

用BESⅠ的7.8×10⁶J/ψ数据更为精确地测定了J/ψ→π⁰3(π⁺π^－)和J/ψ→ω²(π⁺π^－)的分支比(Br(J/ψ→π⁰3(π⁺π^－))=(2.52±0.06±0.43)%,Br(J/ψ→π⁰3(π⁺π^－))=(1.31±0.09±0.21)%.同时对4π不变质量谱和ωππ不变质量谱进行研究分析,试图观察是否存在有兴趣的信号.     

Effect of unitarization on the amplitudes for the decays K10 → π+π? and K+ → π+π+π?

The unitarization of the amplitude for the decay process K ₁⁰ → π⁺π⁻ and allowance for the rescattering of final-state pions in the decay process K ⁺ → π⁺π⁺π⁻ make it possible to evaluate, by using the parameters extracted from data on K → 2π decays, the K ⁺ → π⁺π⁺π⁻ decay width. The result agrees with the experimental width value at a level of a few percent. Allowance for corrections for higher order terms of the momentum expansion of the amplitude for the decay process K ⁺ → π⁺π⁺π⁻ leads to the slope-parameter value of g ₊₊₋^th = 0.2182, which agrees with its experimental counterpart, g ₊₊₋^exp = 0.2154 ± 0.0035.     

BES上J/ψ→γπ0π0的实验研究

基于北京谱仪收集的7.0×10⁶有中性触发的J/ψ事例,分析了J/ψ→γπ⁰π⁰衰变道.除了在π⁰π⁰不变质量谱中看到了众所周知的f₂(1270)外,还证实了f_J(1710)和ξ(2230)的存在,同时给出了它们的质量以及相应的衰变分支比.     

在J/ψ衰变与ρ→π+π–π0衰变中的ρ–ω干涉

通过分析J/ψ→π⁺π^-π^{0π0来研究ρω干涉.利用描述J/ψ衰变的一般的唯象模型对PDG-2002关于J/ψ衰变到PP和PV的实验数据做了拟合(P表示赝标介子,V表示矢量介子) ,得到ρ0→π+π-π0反常大的分支比～10-3—10-2.理论的分析结果也与这一反常大的分支比相符合.同时,得到了合理的ηη′混合角和组分夸克质量比:θ=-19.68°±1.49°,m_u/m_s≈0.6 .}     

A study of the reactions π+p→ K+∑+ and K−p→π−∑+ at 10 GeV/c

For the first time, the reactions π⁺p→K⁺∑⁺ and K^?p→π^?∑⁺ have been studied in the same apparatus. This has been done at an adequately high momentum (10.1 GeV/c) to allow a check of the prediction of exchange degeneracy, that the differential cross sections should be converging at high energy. We have measured the cross section for momentum transfers t between t_min and t = ?0.3 (GeV/c)². We find that for both reactions the differential cross section shows an exponential fall, with no deviations right in to t =t_min (where some other experiments have shown a dip in the cross section). Furthermore, we find the magnitude of the differential cross sections to be closely similar at t = 0, with a ratio

However, the slope for the positive reaction is about 19% steeper than that for the negative reaction.     

The branching ratio for K−p → Λγ at rest

The reaction K^?p → Λγ, produced by K^? stopping in a liquid hydrogen target, has been studied using a NaI(Tl) gamma-ray spectrometer. The branching ratio is

based on 1355 events assigned to this branch. This is in conflict with a previous experiment, but agrees with one of the two published calculations, when recent values for the coupling constants and scattering amplitudes are used.
