Simply speaking, the drip line is the margin in chart of the nuclides where the nu-clides with the lower limits of detectable lifetime survive. The N/Z ratios of the nuclides on the drip line are extreme. Synthesis of the nuclei near the drip line and study of their exotic decays deal with the physics under extreme conditions, and therefore become one of the frontiers in nuclear physics today. A #-delayed proton activity with a half-life of 1.2 - 0.2 s was assigned to 89Ru on the basis of a p-%(X) coincidence measurement in the reaction of 58Ni (36Ar, 2p3n ) using a He-jet tape transport system. The measured delayed-proton spectrum of 89Ru and relative proton branching ratios to the low-lying states in 88Mo were compared with statistical model calculations.  相似文献

We study some nonleptonic decays of Λb-baryon involving transition of a heavy to light quark, using nonrelativistic quark model for form factors. The decay rates for two such decays are consistent with the data available. Also these decays can give us information on the CKM matrix element |VUb|.  相似文献

The very neutron-deficient 117Ba nuclei were produced in 58Ni-induced reactions on a 63Cu target and selected for spectroscopic studies by using BaF+ molecules formed in the ion source of the GSI on-line mass separator. The -decay of 117Ba was investigated by means of the total absorption -ray spectrometer and a telescope for -delayed particle detection. In the analysis combining the -delayed -ray and proton data the energy window available for -delayed proton emission, the branching ratios for proton transitions to the 116Xe levels and the -feeding of the -ray and proton-emitting 117Cs states were determined. The -strength function for 117Ba derived from the measured -feeding distribution revealed the existence of a broad resonance structure at 117Cs excitation energy of about 4-5 MeV. The results of the -delayed proton studies and -strength measurements are confronted with theoretical predictions.  相似文献

The decay of the +-fed isobaric analog state by one- and two-proton emission is calculated in the formalism of compound-nucleus decay. Support is given to the uncorrelated character of the emitted protons in the2p process. The ratio of2p top probabilities is obtained for the isotopes predicted to be2p emitters up to Z=30, i.e.22Al,22,23Si,26P,27S,31Ar,35Ca,39Ti,43Cr,46Mn,46,47Fe,49–51Ni, and55Zn.  相似文献

The β-delayed proton decay of 146Ho was studied by proton-γ coincidence measurements using a He-jet tape transport system. The γ-transitions in ^145Tb following the proton emissions were observed, and the β-delayed proton branching ratios to the final states in the grand-daughter nucleus ^145Tb were determined. The basic process of an exotic decay mode namely β-delayed fission is simply introduced. The progress status of the study in the world is essentialized. The observation of β-delayed fission of 228Ac is reported. The radium was radiochemically separated from natural thorium. Thin Ra sources in which 228Ac was got through 228Ra →β-228Ac were prepared for observing fission fragments from β-delayed fission of 228Ac. They exposed to the mica fission track detectors, and measured by an HPGe γ-ray detector. The β-delayed fission events of 228Ac were observed and its β-delayed fission probability was found to be (5±2)×10-12.  相似文献

The β-delayed neutron and γ spectra of neutron-rich nucleus 21N using β-γ and β-n coincidence measurements were presented in this paper. Thirteen new neutron groups ranging from 0.28 MeV to 4.98 MeV and with a total branching ratio 88.7±4.2% were observed. One γ transition among the excited states of 21O, and four γ transitions among the excited states of 20O were identified in the β decay chain of 21N. The ungated half-life of 83.8±2.1 ms was also determined for 21N.  相似文献

The results of the measurements of radiative decays of ρ and ω mesons with the Neutral Detector at thee + e ? collider VEPP-2M are presented. The branching ratio of the decay ω→π 0γ was measured with higher than in previous experiments accuracy: $${\rm B}(\omega \to \pi ^0 \gamma ) = 0.0888 \pm 0.0062$$ . The ρ0π 0 γ branching ratio was measured for the first time: $$B(\rho ^0 \to \pi ^0 \gamma ) = (7.9 \pm 2.0) \cdot 10^{ - 4} $$ . The decays ρ, ω→ηγ were studied. Their branching ratios with the assumption of constructive ρ?ω interference are: $$\begin{gathered} B(\omega \to \eta \gamma ) = (7.3 \pm 2.9) \cdot 10^{ - 4} , \hfill \\ B(\rho \to \eta \gamma ) = (4.0 \pm 1.1) \cdot 10^{ - 4} \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $$ . The branching ratios of ρ, ω→ηγ and ω→e + e ? decays were also measured: $$\begin{gathered} B(\omega \to \pi ^ + \pi ^ - \pi ^0 ) = 0.8942 \pm 0.0062, \hfill \\ B(\omega \to e^ + e^ - ) = (7.14 \pm 0.36) \cdot 10^{ - 5} \hfill \\ \end{gathered} $$ . The upper limit for the ω→π 0 π 0 γ branching ratio was placed: B(ωπ 0 π 0 γ)<4·10?4 at 90% confidence level.  相似文献

EC and decays of 235Am have been studied using a gas-jet coupled on-line isotope separator. Excited states in 235Pu have been established for the first time by means of -ray spectroscopy following the EC decay of 235Am. The deduced log ft value suggests that the ground state of 235Am should have the 5/2-[523] configuration. The - coincidence result has revealed that the 5/2-[523] state in 231Np populated by the favored transition of 235Am is located at < 15 keV, which allows us to precisely determine the Q value of 235Am.  相似文献

Isospin-violating mixing of ρ- and ω-mesons is reconsidered in terms of propagators. Its influence on various pairs of (ρ,ω)-decays to the same final states is demonstrated. Some of them, (ρ,ω)↦π+π- and (ρ,ω)↦πγ, have been earlier discussed in the literature, others (e.g., (ρ,ω)↦ηγ and (ρ,ω)↦e + e -) are new in this context. Changes in partial widths for all the decay pairs are shown to be correlated. The set of present experimental data, though yet inconclusive, provides some limits for the direct (ρω)-coupling and indirectly supports enhancement of ρ↦πγ in comparison with ρ±↦π±γ, though not so large as in some previous estimates. Both l00Mo and 116Cd are double--decay candidates, whose intermediate (virtual) state is a nucleus with J = 1+ in the ground state. Consequently, in these cases one can measure the single--decay matrix elements in addition to the 2-decay rate and test models in a more stringent way. We have measured the electron-capture decays of 100Tc and 116In which show that: a) the ground state dominance hypothesis works very well; b) deformation plays a role which cannot be neglected in QRPA calculations. QRPA predictions work better in the spherical A = 116 system than in the transition A = 100 system.  相似文献

In an experiment performed at the GANIL LISE3 facility, radioactive 27S isotopes have been produced by projectile fragmentation of a 95 AMeV 36Ar primary beam. After selection by means of the LISE3 separator, the isotope of interest was implanted in a silicon-detector telescope where its half-life ( T 1/2 = 15.5(15) ms) and its main decay branches were measured. The binding energies of double hypernuclei are calculated as a function of mass number. Estimates are made for the width of the -hyperon decay channel of double hypernuclei. In the present paper we give a detailed report on the results of our first-principles investigations of Ar adsorptions at the four high symmetry sites on M (111) (M =Pd, Pt, Cu, and Rh) surfaces. Our studies indicate that the most stable adsorption sites of Ar on Pd (111) and Pt (111) surfaces are found to be the fcc-hollow sites. However, for Ar adsorptions on Cu (111) and Rh (111) surfaces, the most favorable site is the on-top site. The density of states (DOS) is analyzed for Ar adsorption on M (111) surfaces, and it is concluded that the adsorption behavior is dominated by the interaction between 3s, 3p orbits of Ar atoms and the d orbit of the base metal atoms.  相似文献

The world's largest sample of J/ψ events, 1.31 billion events accumulated at the BESIII detector, provides a unique opportunity to investigate η and η physics via two-body J/ψ radiative or hadronic decays. For many η decay channels the low background data samples are up to three orders of magnitude larger than collected in any previous experiment. Here we review the most significant results on η and η obtained at BESIII so far. The analyses range from detailed studies of common decay dynamics, observations of new radiative and Dalitz decays, and searches for rare/forbidden decays with sensitivity up to B~10-5. Finally, prospects of forthcoming runs at the J/ψ peak forη and η physics are discussed.  相似文献
