Radiative lifetimes for the 4d94f, 4d95p, 4d95d, and 4d96s levels in the spectra of palladium-like ions Pr XIV and Nd XV are calculated in the electric-dipole approximation by the intermediate coupling semiempirical method with the use of experimental energy levels available in the literature. With the Breit interaction and quantum electrodynamics corrections considered, relativistic configuration interaction calculations have been carried out in the extended optimal level scheme using multi-configuration Dirac-Fock wave functions on the 204 energy levels and electric dipole transitions of Ar XIV. The results of electric dipole transitions are in good agreement with experiments. Among the energy levels calculated, the lowest 125 levels are in good agreement with available experimental and other theoretical ones, and the other 79 levels are new ones obtained by the present work. This wide range of atomic energy levels is useful in astrophysics and plasma physics.  相似文献

Lifetime measurements have been carried out for some low lying (n = 2) levels in the four-electron ions Cl XIV and S XIII using the beam-foil technique. Accurate oscillator strengths for the 2 s2 1 S - 2 s 2 p 1 P o transition have been determined by the inclusion of prominent cascades in the analysis. Lifetimes of the levels of the 2 p2 3 P j multiplet have also been measured for both ions. The results are compared with theoretical predictions and earlier measurements. The half-lives of seven levels in105Mo have been determined with high precision at the fission-product separator Josef. The-- triple coincidence method with plastic and BaF2 scintillators was used for a determination of the time between the q feeding of a level of interest and its depopulation. A value of q =0.38 (1) for the deformation parameter has been deduced from the half-lives of the first and second excited states. The results of Particle-Rotor model-calculations with the Nilsson parameters=0.084 and=0.28 support the assignment of the Nilsson orbital [532] 5/2 to the ground state of105Mo.The authors acknowledge with pleasure fruitful discussions with Profs. Two macroscopic models for the dependence of the spontaneous emission rate of luminescent ions or nanoparticles embedded in dielectric media of various optical refractive indexes are presented. The available experimental results on the spontaneous emission rate (lifetime) are examined using the two models. A novel atomic beam source not used previously for lifetime measurements is described. It was employed in determining lifetimes of 6 levels of niobium which have not been measured previously.
