Five new vanadium selenites, Ca(2)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(3)(H(2)O)(2), Sr(2)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(3), Ba(V(2)O(5))(SeO(3)), Sr(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)), and Pb(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)), have been synthesized and characterized. Their crystal structures were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The compounds exhibit one- or two-dimensional structures consisting of corner- and edge-shared VO(4), VO(5), VO(6), and SeO(3) polyhedra. Of the reported materials, A(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)) (A = Sr(2+) or Pb(2+)) are noncentrosymmetric (NCS) and polar. Powder second-harmonic generation (SHG) measurements revealed SHG efficiencies of approximately 130 and 150 × α-SiO(2) for Sr(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)) and Pb(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)), respectively. Piezoelectric charge constants of 43 and 53 pm/V, and pyroelectric coefficients of -27 and -42 μC/m(2)·K at 70 °C were obtained for Sr(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)) and Pb(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)), respectively. Frequency dependent polarization measurements confirmed that the materials are not ferroelectric, that is, the observed polarization cannot be reversed. In addition, the lone-pair on the Se(4+) cation may be considered as stereo-active consistent with calculations. For all of the reported materials, infrared, UV-vis, thermogravimetric, and differential thermal analysis measurements were performed. Crystal data: Ca(2)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(3)(H(2)O)(2), orthorhombic, space group Pnma (No. 62), a = 7.827(4) ?, b = 16.764(5) ?, c = 9.679(5) ?, V = 1270.1(9) ?(3), and Z = 4; Sr(2)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(3), monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c (No. 12), a = 14.739(13) ?, b = 9.788(8) ?, c = 8.440(7) ?, β = 96.881(11)°, V = 1208.8(18) ?(3), and Z = 4; Ba(V(2)O(5))(SeO(3)), orthorhombic, space group Pnma (No. 62), a = 13.9287(7) ?, b = 5.3787(3) ?, c = 8.9853(5) ?, V = 673.16(6) ?(3), and Z = 4; Sr(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)), orthorhombic, space group Fdd2 (No. 43), a = 25.161(3) ?, b = 12.1579(15) ?, c = 12.8592(16) ?, V = 3933.7(8) ?(3), and Z = 8; Pb(4)(VO(2))(2)(SeO(3))(4)(Se(2)O(5)), orthorhombic, space group Fdd2 (No. 43), a = 25.029(2) ?, b = 12.2147(10) ?, c = 13.0154(10) ?, V = 3979.1(6) ?(3), and Z = 8.  相似文献

Two new vanadoselenites, [SeV(3)O(11)](3)(-) and [Se(2)V(2)O(10)](2)(-), were synthesized by reacting SeO(2) with VO(3)(-). Single-crystal X-ray structural analyses of [(n-C(4)H(9))(4)N](3)[SeV(3)O(11)].0.5H(2)O [orthorhombic, space group P2(1)2(1)2, a = 22.328(5) A, b = 44.099(9) A, c = 12.287(3) A, Z = 8] and [[(C(6)H(5))(3)P](2)N](2)[Se(2)V(2)O(10)] [monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n, a = 12.2931(3) A, b = 13.5101(3) A, c = 20.9793(5) A, beta = 106.307(1) degrees, Z = 2] revealed that both anions are composed of Se(x)()V(4)(-)(x)()O(4) rings. The (51)V, (77)Se, and (17)O NMR spectra established that both [SeV(3)O(11)](3)(-) and [Se(2)V(2)O(10)](2)(-) anions maintain this ring structure in solution.  相似文献

Attempts to prepare the hitherto unknown Se(6)(2+) cation by the reaction of elemental selenium and Ag[A] ([A](-) = [Sb(OTeF(5))(6)](-), [Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)](-)) in SO(2) led to the formation of [(OSO)Ag(Se(6))Ag(OSO)][Sb(OTeF(5))(6)](2)1 and [(OSO)(2)Ag(Se(6))Ag(OSO)(2)][Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)](2)2a. 1 could only be prepared by using bromine as co-oxidant, however, bulk 2b (2a with loss of SO(2)) was accessible from Ag[Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)] and grey Se in SO(2) (chem. analysis). The reactions of Ag[MF(6)] (M = As, Sb) and elemental selenium led to crystals of 1/∞{[Ag(Se(6))](∞)[Ag(2)(SbF(6))(3)](∞)} 3 and {1/∞[Ag(Se(6))Ag](∞)}[AsF(6)](2)4. Pure bulk 4 was best prepared by the reaction of Se(4)[AsF(6)](2), silver metal and elemental selenium. Attempts to prepare bulk 1 and 3 were unsuccessful. 1-4 were characterized by single-crystal X-ray structure determinations, 2b and 4 additionally by chemical analysis and 4 also by X-ray powder diffraction, FT-Raman and FT-IR spectroscopy. Application of the PRESTO III sequence allowed for the first time (109)Ag MAS NMR investigations of 4 as well as AgF, AgF(2), AgMF(6) and {1/∞[Ag(I(2))](∞)}[MF(6)] (M = As, Sb). Compounds 1 and 2a/b, with the very large counter ions, contain isolated [Ag(Se(6))Ag](2+) heterocubane units consisting of a Se(6) molecule bicapped by two silver cations (local D(3d) sym). 3 and 4, with the smaller anions, contain close packed stacked arrays of Se(6) rings with Ag(+) residing in octahedral holes. Each Ag(+) ion coordinates to three selenium atoms of each adjacent Se(6) ring. 4 contains [Ag(Se(6))(+)](∞) stacks additionally linked by Ag(2)(+) into a two dimensional network. 3 features a remarkable 3-dimensional [Ag(2)(SbF(6))(3)](-) anion held together by strong Sb-FAg contacts between the component Ag(+) and [SbF(6)](-) ions. The hexagonal channels formed by the [Ag(2)(SbF(6))(3)](-) anions are filled by stacks of [Ag(Se(6))(+)](∞) cations. Overall 1-4 are new members of the rare class of metal complexes of neutral main group elemental clusters, in which the main group element is positively polarized due to coordination to a metal ion. Notably, 1 to 4 include the commonly metastable Se(6) molecule as a ligand. The structure, bonding and thermodynamics of 1 to 4 were investigated with the help of quantum chemical calculations (PBE0/TZVPP and (RI-)MP2/TZVPP, in part including COSMO solvation) and Born-Fajans-Haber-cycle calculations. From an analysis of all the available data it appears that the formation of the usually metastable Se(6) molecule from grey selenium is thermodynamically driven by the coordination to the Ag(+) ions.  相似文献

A series of group 6 transition metal half-sandwich complexes with 1,1-dichalcogenide ligands have been prepared by the reactions of Cp*MCl(4)(Cp* = eta(5)-C(5)Me(5); M = Mo, W) with the potassium salt of 2,2-dicyanoethylene-1,1-dithiolate, (KS)(2)C=C(CN)(2) (K(2)-i-mnt), or the analogous seleno compound, (KSe)(2)C=C(CN)(2) (K(2)-i-mns). The reaction of Cp*MCl(4) with (KS)(2)C=C(CN)(2) in a 1:3 molar ratio in CH(3)CN gave rise to K[Cp*M(S(2)C=C(CN)(2))(2)] (M = Mo, 1a, 74%; M = W, 2a, 46%). Under the same conditions, the reaction of Cp*MoCl(4) with 3 equiv of (KSe)(2)C=C(CN)(2) afforded K[Cp*Mo(Se(2)C=C(CN)(2))(2)] (3a) and K[Cp*Mo(Se(2)C=C(CN)(2))(Se(Se(2))C=C(CN)(2))] (4) in respective yields of 45% and 25%. Cation exchange reactions of 1a, 2a, and 3a with Et(4)NBr resulted in isolation of (Et(4)N)[Cp*Mo(S(2)C=C(CN)(2))(2)] (1b), (Et(4)N)[Cp*W(S(2)C=C(CN)(2))(2)] (2b), and (Et(4)N)[Cp*Mo(Se(2)C=C(CN)(2))(2)] (3b), respectively. Complex 4 crystallized with one THF and one CH(3)CN molecule as a three-dimensional network structure. Inspection of the reaction of Cp*WCl(4) with (KSe)(2)C=C(CN)(2) by ESI-MS revealed the existence of three species in CH(3)CN, [Cp*W(Se(2)C=C(CN)(2))(2)]-, [Cp*W(Se(2)C=C(CN)(2))(Se(Se(2))C=C(CN)(2))]-, and [Cp*W(Se(Se(2))C=C(CN)(2))(2)]-, of which [Cp*W(Se(2)C=C(CN)(2))(Se(Se(2))C=C(CN)(2))]-(5) was isolated as the main product. Treatment of 2a with 1/4 equiv of S(8) in refluxing THF resulted in sulfur insertion and gave rise to K[Cp*W(S(2)C=C(CN)(2))(S(S(2))C=C(CN)(2))](6), which crystallized with two THF molecules forming a three-dimensional network structure. 6 can also be prepared by refluxing 2a with 1/4 equiv of S(8) in THF. 3a readily added one Se atom upon treatment with 1 mol of Se powder in THF to give 4 in high yield, while the treatment of 3a or 4 with 2 equiv of Na(2)Se in THF led to formation of a dinuclear complex [(Cp*Mo)(2)(mu-Se)(mu-Se(Se(3))C=C(CN)(2))] (7). The structure of 7 consists of two Cp*Mo units bridged by a Se(2-) and a [Se(Se(3))C=C(CN)(2)](2-) ligand in which the triselenido group is arranged in a nearly linear way (163 degrees). The reaction of 2a with 2 equiv of CuBr in CH(3)CN yielded a trinuclear complex [Cp*WCu(2)(mu-Br)(mu(3)-S(2)C=C(CN)(2))(2)] (8), which crystallized with one CH(3)CN and generated a one-dimensional chain polymer through bonding of Cu to the N of the cyano groups.  相似文献

Orange crystals of Cs(4)Th(4)P(4)Se(26) were grown from the reaction of (232)Th and P in a Cs(2)Se(3)/Se molten salt flux at 750 degrees C. Cs(4)Th(4)P(4)Se(26) crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbca with the unit cell parameters: a = 12.0130(6), b = 14.5747(7), c = 27.134(1) A; Z = 8. The compound exhibits a three-dimensional structure, consisting of dimeric [Th(2)Se(13)] polyhedral units. The two crystallographically independent, nine-coordinate, bicapped trigonal prismatic thorium atoms share a triangular face to form the dimer, and each dimer edge-shares two selenium atoms with two other dimers to form kinked chains along the [010] direction. While this structure shares features of the previously reported Rb(4)U(4)P(4)Se(26), including phosphorus in the 5+ oxidation state, careful inspection of the structure reveals that the selenophosphate anion that knits the structure together in three directions in both compounds is a unique (P(2)Se(9))(6-) anion. The formula may be described best as [Cs(2)Th(2)(P(2)Se(9))(Se(2))(2)](2). The (P(2)Se(9))(6-) anion features a nearly linear Se-Se-Se backbone with an angle of 171 degrees and Se-Se distances that are approximately 0.2-0.3 A longer than the typical single Se-Se bond. Magnetic studies confirm that this phase contains Th(IV). Raman data for this compound is reported, and structural comparisons will be drawn to its uranium analogue, Rb(4)U(4)P(4)Se(26).  相似文献

Two inorganic-organic hybrid compounds with the formula M(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)V(2)Se(2)O(10) (M = Co, Ni) were hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds Co(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)V(2)Se(2)O(10) (1) and Ni(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)V(2)Se(2)O(10) (2), which are structural analogues, crystallize in the triclinic space group Ponemacr; with crystal data a = 7.9665(3) A, b = 8.1974(3) A, c = 13.8096(4) A, alpha = 85.704(2) degrees, beta = 73.5180(10) degrees, gamma = 75.645(2) degrees, V = 837.76(5) A(3), and Z = 2 and a = 7.9489(19) A, b = 8.128(2) A, c = 13.709 A, alpha = 85.838(6) degrees, beta = 73.736(8) degrees, gamma = 75.594(9) degrees, V = 823.5(4) A(3), and Z = 2, respectively. [M(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)V(2)Se(2)O(10)] (M = Co, Ni) have a three-dimensional structure and consist of two subunits, [(VO(2))(SeO(3))](-) infinite chains and [M(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)](2+) fragments. The [(VO(2))(SeO(3))](-) chains are composed of [V(2)Se(4)O(14)](4)(-) clusters linked by VO(4)N triangular bipyramids. The 4,4'-bipy molecule as a bifunctional organic ligand is directly linked to Co or Ni and V atoms, affording the three-dimensionality. The compounds were characterized by infrared spectroscopy and differential thermal and thermogravimetric analyses.  相似文献

The compounds [K(18-crown-6)](3)[Ir(Se(4))(3)] (1), [K(2.2.2-cryptand)](3)[Ir(Se(4))(3)].C(6)H(5)CH(3) (2), and [K(18-crown-6)(DMF)(2)][Ir(NCCH(3))(2)(Se(4))(2)] (3) (DMF = dimethylformamide) have been prepared from the reaction of [Ir(NCCH(3))(2)(COE)(2)][BF(4)] (COE = cyclooctene) with polyselenide anions in acetonitrile/DMF. Analogous reactions utilizing [Rh(NCCH(3))(2)(COE)(2)][BF(4)] as a Rh source produce homologues of the Ir complexes; these have been characterized by (77)Se NMR spectroscopy. [NH(4)](3)[Ir(S(6))(3)].H(2)O.0.5CH(3)CH(2)OH (4) has been synthesized from the reaction of IrCl(3).nH(2)O with aqueous (NH(4))(2)S(m)(). In the structure of [K(18-crown-6)](3)[Ir(Se(4))(3)] (1) the Ir(III) center is chelated by three Se(4)(2)(-) ligands to form a distorted octahedral anion. The structure contains a disordered racemate of the Deltalambdalambdalambda and Lambdadeltadeltadelta conformers. The K(+) cations are pulled out of the planes of the crowns and interact with Se atoms of the [Ir(Se(4))(3)](3)(-) anion. [K(2.2.2-cryptand)](3)[Ir(Se(4))(3)].C(6)H(5)CH(3) (2) possesses no short K.Se interactions; here the [Ir(Se(4))(3)](3)(-) anion crystallizes as the Deltalambdalambdadelta/Lambdadeltadeltalambda racemate. In the crystal structure of [K(18-crown-6)(DMF)(2)][Ir(NCCH(3))(2)(Se(4))(2)] (3), the K(+) cation is coordinated by an 18-crown-6 ligand and two DMF molecules and the anion comprises an octahedral Ir(III) center bound by two chelating Se(4)(2)(-) chains and two trans acetonitrile groups. The [Ir(Se(4))(3)](3)(-) and [Rh(Se(4))(3)](3)(-) anions undergo conformational transformations as a function of temperature, as observed by (77)Se NMR spectroscopy. The thermodynamics of these transformations are: [Ir(Se(4))(3)](3)(-), DeltaH = 2.5(5) kcal mol(-)(1), DeltaS = 11.5(2.2) eu; [Rh(Se(4))(3)](3)(-), DeltaH = 5.2(7) kcal mol(-)(1), DeltaS = 24.7(3.0) eu.  相似文献

Thermolysis of highly diluted (CH2Se)3 or (CD2Se)3 in a flow of argon with subsequent quenching of the products in an matrix at 15 K yields monomeric CH2Se and CD2Se, respectively. Six fundamental vibrations upsilon1 = 2972.5, upsilon2 = 1413.3, upsilon3 = 854.2, upsilon4 = 916.4, upsilon 5 = 3052.9, and upsilon 6 = 913.2 cm(-1) and two combination bands have been observed for CH2Se as well as three fundamentals of CD2Se. The vibrational wavenumbers are compared with those of CH2O and CH2S. Matrix isolated selenoformaldehyde decomposes slowly by UV photolysis to yield the CSe molecule.  相似文献

Green crystals of Na(NpO(2))(SeO(4))(H(2)O) (1), Na(3)(NpO(2))(SeO(4))(2)(H(2)O) (2), and Na(3)(NpO(2))(SeO(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2) (3) have been prepared by a hydrothermal method for 1 or evaporation from aqueous solutions for 2 and 3. The structures of these compounds have been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 is isostructural with Na(NpO(2))(SO(4))(H(2)O) (4). The structure of 1 consists of ribbons of neptunyl(V) pentagonal bipyramids, which are decorated and further connected by selenate tetrahedra to form a three-dimensional framework. The resulting open channels are filled by Na(+) cations and H(2)O molecules. Within the ribbon, each neptunyl polyhedron shares corners with each other solely through cation-cation interactions (CCIs). The structure of 2 adopts one-dimensional [(NpO(2))(SeO(4))(2)(H(2)O)](3-) chains connected by Na(+) cations. Each NpO(2)(+) cation is coordinated by four monodentate SeO(4)(2-) anions and one H(2)O molecule to form a pentagonal bipyramid. The structure of 3 is constructed by one-dimensional [(NpO(2))(SeO(4))(2)](3-) chains separated by Na(+) cations and H(2)O molecules. These chains have two configurations resulting in two disordered orientations of the Se(2)O(4)(2-) tetrahedra. Each NpO(2)(+) cation is coordinated by one bidentate Se(1)O(4)(2-) and three monodentate Se(2)O(4)(2-) anions to form a pentagonal bipyramid. Raman spectra of 1, 2, and 4 were collected on powder samples. For 1 and 4, the neptunyl symmetric stretch modes (670, 676, 730, and 739 cm(-1)) shift significantly toward lower frequencies compared to that in 2 (773 cm(-1)), and there are several asymmetric neptunyl stretch bands in the region of 760-820 cm(-1). Magnetic measurements obtained from crushed crystals of 1 are consistent with a ferromagnetic ordering of the neptunyl(V) spins at 6.5(2) K, with an average low temperature saturation moment of 2.2(1) μ(B) per Np. Well above the ordering temperature, the susceptibility follows Curie-Weiss behavior, with an average effective moment of 3.65(10) μ(B) per Np and a Weiss constant of 14(1) K. Correlations between lattice dimensionality and magnetic behavior are discussed.  相似文献

Cleavage of the Se-Se bond in [2-{O(CH(2)CH(2))(2)NCH(2)}C(6)H(4)](2)Se(2) (1) and [2-{MeN(CH(2)CH(2))(2)NCH(2)}C(6)H(4)](2)Se(2) (2) by treatment with SO(2)Cl(2), bromine or iodine (1 : 1 molar ratio) yielded [2-{O(CH(2)CH(2))(2)NCH(2)}C(6)H(4)]SeX [X = Cl (3), Br (4), I (5)] and [2-{MeN(CH(2)CH(2))(2)NCH(2)}C(6)H(4)]SeI (6). The compounds were characterized in solution by NMR spectroscopy (1H, 13C, 15N, 77Se, 2D experiments). The solid-state molecular structures of 1-3, 4.HBr, 5 and 6 were established by single crystal X-ray diffraction. In all cases T-shaped coordination geometries, i.e. (C,N)SeSe (1, 2), (C,N)SeX (3, 5, 6; X = halogen) or CSeBr(2) (4.HBr), were found. Supramolecular associations in crystals based on hydrogen contacts are discussed.  相似文献

Interaction of the lacunary [alpha-XW(9)O(33)](9-) (X = As(III), Sb(III)) with Fe(3+) ions in acidic, aqueous medium leads to the formation of dimeric polyoxoanions, [Fe(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-XW(9)O(33))(2)](6-) (X = As(III), Sb(III)) in high yield. X-ray single-crystal analyses were carried out on Na(6)[Fe(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-AsW(9)O(33))(2)] x 32H(2)O, which crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2/m, with a = 20.2493(18) A, b = 15.2678(13) A, c = 16.0689(14) A, beta = 95.766(2) degrees, and Z = 2; Na(6)[Fe(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-SbW(9)O(33))(2)] x 32H(2)O is isomorphous with a = 20.1542(18) A, b = 15.2204(13) A, c = 16.1469(14) A, and beta = 95.795(2) degrees. The selenium and tellurium analogues are also reported, [Fe(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-XW(9)O(33))(2)](4-) (X = Se(IV), Te(IV)). They are synthesized from sodium tungstate and a source of the heteroatom as precursors. X-ray single-crystal analysis was carried out on Cs(4)[Fe(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-SeW(9)O(33))(2)] x 21H(2)O, which crystallizes in the triclinic system, space group P macro 1, with a = 12.6648(10) A, b = 12.8247(10) A, c = 16.1588(13) A, alpha = 75.6540(10) degrees, beta = 87.9550(10) degrees, gamma = 64.3610(10) gamma, and Z = 1. All title polyanions consist of two (beta-XW(9)O(33)) units joined by a central pair and a peripheral pair of Fe(3+) ions leading to a structure with idealized C(2h) symmetry. It was also possible to synthesize the Cr(III) derivatives [Cr(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-XW(9)O(33))(2)](6-) (X = As(III), Sb(III)), the tungstoselenates(IV) [M(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-SeW(9)O(33))(2)]((16)(-)(4n)-) (M(n+) = Cr(3+), Mn(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Zn(2+), Cd(2+), and Hg(2+)), and the tungstotellurates(IV) [M(4)(H(2)O)(10)(beta-TeW(9)O(33))(2)]((16-4n)-) (M(n+) = Cr(3+), Mn(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Cd(2+), and Hg(2+)), as determined by FTIR. The electrochemical properties of the iron-containing species were also studied. Cyclic voltammetry and controlled potential coulometry aided in distinguishing between Fe(3+) and W(6+) waves. By variation of pH and scan rate, it was possible to observe the stepwise reduction of the Fe(3+) centers.  相似文献

The rare-earth metal(III) oxide selenides of the formula La4O4Se[Se2], Ce4O4Se[Se2], Pr4O4Se[Se2], Nd4O4Se[Se2], and Sm4O4Se[Se2] were synthesized from a mixture of the elements with selenium dioxide as the oxygen source at 750 degrees C. Single crystal X-ray diffraction was used to determine their crystal structures. The isostructural compounds M4O4Se[Se2] (M=La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm) crystallize in the orthorhombic space group Amm2 with cell dimensions a=857.94(7), b=409.44(4), c=1316.49(8) pm for M=La; a=851.37(6), b=404.82(3), c=1296.83(9) pm for M=Ce; a=849.92(6), b=402.78(3), c=1292.57(9) pm for M=Pr; a=845.68(4), b=398.83(2), c=1282.45(7) pm for M=Nd; and a=840.08(5), b=394.04(3), c=1263.83(6) pm for M=Sm (Z=2). In their crystal structures, Se2- anions as well as [Se-Se]2- dumbbells interconnect {[M4O4]4+} infinity 2 layers. These layers are composed of three crystallographically different, distorted [OM4]10+ tetrahedra, which are linked via four common edges. The compounds exhibit strong Raman active modes at around 215 cm(-1), which can be assigned to the Se-Se stretching vibration. Optical band gaps for La4O4Se[Se2], Ce4O4Se[Se2], Pr4O4Se[Se2], Nd4O4Se[Se2], and Sm4O4Se[Se2] were derived from diffuse reflectance spectra. The energy values at which absorption takes place are typical for semiconducting materials. For the compounds M4O4Se[Se2] (M=La, Pr, Nd, Sm) the fundamental band gaps, caused by transitions from the valence band to the conduction band (VB-CB), lie around 1.9 eV, while for M=Ce an absorption edge occurs at around 1.7 eV, which can be assigned to f-d transitions of Ce3+. Magnetic susceptibility measurements of Ce4O4Se[Se2] and Nd4O4Se[Se2] show Curie-Weiss behavior above 150 K with derived experimental magnetic moments of 2.5 micro B/Ce and 3.7 micro B/Nd and Weiss constants of theta p=-64.9 K and theta p=-27.8 K for the cerium and neodymium compounds, respectively. Down to 1.8 K no long-range magnetic ordering could be detected. Thus, the large negative values for theta p indicate the presence of strong magnetic frustration within the compounds, which is due to the geometric arrangement of the magnetic sublattice in form of [OM4]10+ tetrahedra.  相似文献

1,10-Phenanthroline (phen) and monoprotonated methylamine molecules were used as a novel cotemplate to direct the formation of a new inorganic-organic hybrid selenidostannate, (CH(3)NH(3))(4)(Sn(2)Se(6))·6phen (1); while the utilization of three types of transition-metal (TM) phen complex cations with the TM/phen ration of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 as structure directors affords {[Mn(phen)(2)](2)(μ(2)-Sn(2)Se(6))}·H(2)O (2a), {[Fe(phen)(2)](2)(μ(2)-Sn(2)Se(6))} (2b), {[Mn(phen)](2)(μ(4)-Sn(2)Se(6))}(n) (3), {[Mn(phen)(2)](Sn(2)Se(5))}(n) (4), and [Fe(phen)(3)](n)(Sn(3)Se(7))(n)·1.25nH(2)O (5). These compounds show diverse structures with the selenidostannate anions varying from discrete, μ(2)- and μ(4)- (Sn(2)Se(6))(4-) anions, to one-dimensional (1-D) (1)(∞)(Sn(2)Se(5)(2-)) anionic chains, and two-dimensional (2-D) extended (2)(∞)(Sn(3)Se(7)(2-)) anionic layers, demonstrating different structure-directing abilities of the cotemplate and the three types of TM phen complex cations. This work clearly indicates that the approach of modifying the number of the free coordination sites of unsaturated TM phen complex cations is very exciting as a way to synthesize novel hybrid chalcogenidometalates. Of particular interest, the present compounds exhibit interesting optical properties that reflect the combined effects of both photoluminescence-active organic components and semiconducting inorganic chalcogenidometalate anionic networks.  相似文献

A new quaternary cadmium and mercury pnictidehalide semiconductor (Hg2Cd2As2Br)Br (1) has been prepared by the solid-state reaction of HgBr2 with elemental Cd and As at 420 degrees C. Compound 1 crystallizes in the space group Pmma of the orthorhombic system with two formula units in a cell: a = 8.791(4) A, b = 4.701(2) A, c = 9.779(6) A, V = 404.2(3) A(3). The structure of 1 is composed of parallel slabs bridged by linearly coordinated Hg atoms to form a 3D cationic network with the channels occupied by discrete Br anions, in which the layer consists of interlinks of linear (HgAs2Br2) tetrahedral chains and (CdAs2Br) trigonal chains. The optical properties were investigated in terms of the diffuse reflectance and Fourier transform infrared spectra. The electronic band structure along with the density of states (DOS) calculated by the DFT method indicate that compound 1 is a semiconductor with an indirect band gap and that the optical absorption mainly originates from the charge transitions from the Br2-4p and As-4p to Cd-5s and Hg-6s states.  相似文献

The site-differentiated, cyanide-substituted hexanuclear rhenium(III) selenide clusters cis- and trans-[Re(6)Se(8)(PEt(3))(4)(CN)(2)] and [Re(6)Se(8)(PEt(3))(5)(CN)](+) have been prepared from heterogeneous reactions of the corresponding iodo clusters with AgCN in refluxing chloroform. Isolated yields are 68%, 46%, and 64% for cis-[Re(6)Se(8)(PEt(3))(4)(CN)(2)], trans-[Re(6)Se(8)(PEt(3))(4)(CN)(2)], and [Re(6)Se(8)(PEt(3))(5)(CN)](+), respectively. The new compounds are air- and water-stable and are characterized by X-ray diffraction crystallography, (31)P NMR and IR spectroscopies, and FAB mass spectrometry. In related work, the solvent exchange rates of two site-differentiated monosolvate clusters, [Re(6)Se(8)(PEt(3))(5)(MeCN)](SbF(6))(2) and [Re(6)Se(8)(PEt(3))(5)(Me(2)SO)](SbF(6))(2), in neat solvents were measured by (1)H NMR. These clusters are substitutionally inert; k approximately 10(-)(5)-10(-)(6) s(-)(1) at 318 K. Activation parameters indicate a dissociative ligand exchange mechanism; DeltaH() values obtained from least-squares fitting of temperature-dependent kinetics data exceed RT by a factor of ca. 50 over the temperature range studied. These results demonstrate that the substitutional lability encountered in a previous study of cluster photophysics (Gray, T. G.; Rudzinski, C. M.; Nocera, D. G.; Holm, R. H. Inorg. Chem. 1999, 38, 5932) cannot result from ground-state thermal reactions.  相似文献

Complexes [Zn[Se(2)P(OEt)(2)](2)]( infinity ) (1) and [Zn(2)[Se(2)P(O(i)Pr)(2)](4)] (2) are prepared from the reaction of Zn(ClO(4))(2).6H(2)O and (NH(4))[Se(2)P(OR)(2)] (R = Et and (i)Pr) in a molar ratio of 1:2 in deoxygenated water at room temperature. Positive FAB mass spectra show m/z peaks at 968.8 (Zn(2)L(3)(+)) and 344.8 (ZnL(+)) for 1 and m/z at 1052.8 (Zn(2)L(3)(+)) for 2. (1)H NMR spectra exhibit chemical shifts at delta 1.43 and 4.23 ppm for 1 and 1.41 and 4.87 ppm for 2 due to Et and (i)Pr group of dsep ligands. While the solid-state structure of compound 1 is a one-dimensional polymer via symmetrically bridging dsep ligands, complex 2 in the crystalline state exists as a dimer. In both 1 and 2, zinc atoms are connected by two bridging dsep ligands with an additional chelating ligand at each zinc atom. The dsep ligands exhibit bimetallic biconnective (micro(2), eta(2)) and monometallic biconnective (eta(2)) coordination patterns. Thus, each zinc atom is coordinated by four selenium atoms from two bridging and one chelating dsep ligands and the geometry around zinc is distorted tetrahedral. The Zn-Se distances range between 2.422 and 2.524 A. From variable-temperature (31)P NMR studies it has been found that monomer and dimer of the complex are in equilibrium in solution via exchange of bridging and chelating ligands. However, at temperature above 40 degrees C the complex exists as a monomer and shows a very sharp peak while with lowering of the temperature the percentage of dimer increases gradually at the expense of monomer. Below -90 degrees C the complex exists as a dimer and two peaks are observed with equal intensities which are due to bridging and chelating ligands. (77)Se NMR spectra of both complexes at -30 degrees C exhibit three doublets due to the presence of monomer and dimer in solution.  相似文献

The structure of monoclinic Se2O5, S. G. P21/c, Z = 4, was solved by direct methods and refined by an anisotropic full matrix least-squares to R = 0.116 for 855 densitometer intensities. The structure consists of zig-zag chaines [? Se(O)? O? Se(O)2? O? ]n with alternating Se(IV) and Se(VI) atoms. Each Se atom is coordinated tetrahedrally, Se(VI) by 4 O atoms, Se(IV) by 3 O atoms and a lone electron pair.  相似文献

The 2,2,2-crypt salts of the Tl4Se8(4-) and [Tl2Se4(2-)]infinity1 anions have been obtained by extraction of the ternary alloy NaTl0.5Se in ethylenediamine (en) in the presence of 2,2,2-crypt and 18-crown-6 followed by vapor-phase diffusion of THF into the en extract. The [2,2,2-crypt-Na]4[Tl4Se8].en crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n, with Z = 2 and a = 14.768(3) angstroms, b = 16.635(3) angstroms, c = 21.254(4) angstroms, beta = 94.17(3) degrees at -123 degrees C, and the [2,2,2-crypt-Na]2[Tl2Se4]infinity1.en crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, with Z = 4 and a = 14.246(2) angstroms, b = 14.360(3) angstroms, c = 26.673(8) angstroms, beta = 99.87(3) degrees at -123 degrees C. The TlIII anions, Tl2Se6(6-) and Tl3Se7(5-), and the mixed oxidation state TlI/TlIII anion, Tl3Se6(5-), have been obtained by extraction of NaTl0.5Se and NaTlSe in en, in the presence of 2,2,2-crypt and/or in liquid NH3, and have been characterized in solution by low-temperature 77Se, 203Tl, and 205Tl NMR spectroscopy. The 1J(203,205Tl-77Se) and 2J(203,205Tl-203,205Tl) couplings of the three anions have been used to arrive at their solution structures by detailed analyses and simulations of all spin multiplets that comprise the 205,203Tl NMR subspectra arising from natural abundance 205,203Tl and 77Se isotopomer distributions. The structure of Tl2Se6(6-) is based on a Tl2Se2 ring in which each thallium is bonded to two exo-selenium atoms so that these thalliums are four-coordinate and possess a formal oxidation state of +3. The Tl4Se8(4-) anion is formally derived from the Tl2Se6(6-) anion by coordination of each pair of terminal Se atoms to the TlIII atom of a TlSe+ cation. The structure of the [Tl2Se4(2-)]infinity1 anion is comprised of edge-sharing distorted TlSe4 tetrahedra that form infinite, one-dimensional [Tl2Se42-]infinity1 chains. The structures of Tl3Se6(5-) and Tl3Se7(5-) are derived from Tl4Se4-cubes in which one thallium atom has been removed and two and three exo-selenium atoms are bonded to thallium atoms, respectively, so that each is four-coordinate and possesses a formal oxidation state of +3 with the remaining three-coordinate thallium atom in the +1 oxidation state. Quantum mechanical calculations at the MP2 level of theory show that the Tl2Se6(6-), Tl3Se6(5-), Tl3Se7(5-), and Tl4Se8(4-) anions exhibit true minima and display geometries that are in agreement with their experimental structures. Natural bond orbital and electron localization function analyses were utilized in describing the bonding in the present and previously published Tl/Se anions, and showed that the Tl2Se6(6-), Tl3Se6(5-), Tl3Se7(5-), and Tl4Se8(4-) anions are electron-precise rings and cages.  相似文献

The flexible and larger ring size macrocycle 4 (C(36)H(46)N(6)Se(2)) afforded stable complex 5 [Hg(2)(PF(6))(2)[C(36)H(46)N(6)Se(2)]] on treatment with 1 equiv of mercuric acetate followed by addition of NH(4)PF(6). The reaction of Pb(OCOCH(3))(2).4H(2)O with 4 followed by treatment with NH(4)PF(6) resulted in a dinuclear lead complex (6) [Pb(2)(PF(6))(2)(OCOCH(3))(2)[C(36)H(46)N(6)Se(2)]]. The crystal structures of complexes 5 and 6 are described: C(36)H(46)F(12)Hg(2)N(6)P(2)Se(2) a = 9.5106(5) A, b = 11.5222(6) A, c = 11.8161(6) A, alpha = 115.6110(10) degrees , beta = 96.5190(10) degrees , gamma = 106.2910(10) degrees , monoclinic, P, Z =1; C(44)H(57)F(12)N(8)O(4)P(2)Pb(2)Se(2) a = 9.4668(5) A, b = 11.9937(6) A, c = 25.2319(14) A, alpha = 102.4130(10) degrees , beta = 97.6130(10) degrees , gamma = 94.8540(10) degrees , monoclinic, P, Z = 2. The crystal structure of 5 revealed that Hg(2)(2+) is trapped inside the cavity of the macrocycle. The geometry around the mercurous ion is antiprismatic with Hg(2)(2+) coordinating to six nitrogen atoms forming four five-membered rings, and there is no interaction between the mercurous ion and the selenium donor atoms. The single crystal X-ray crystal structure of 6 indicates a distorted octahedral geometry around each lead atom in the cavity of the macrocycle due to presence of the sterochemically active lone pair on Pb(II). The octahedral geometry around each Pb(II) is satisfied by coordination to 3 nitrogen atoms, two oxygen atoms of the chelating acetate group, and bridging of one of the oxygen atoms of the nearby acetate.  相似文献

A recently discovered series of quaternary compounds of the general type [K(m)(ROH)(n)()][M(x)Sn(y)()Se(z)] (R = H, Me), containing ternary anions with [SnSe(4)](4-)-coordinated transition metal centers (M = Co, Mn, Zn, Cd, Hg) has now been extended by the synthesis and characterization of the two ortho-thiostannate-coordinated species, [Na(10)(H(2)O)(32)][M(5)Sn(mu(3)-S)(4)(SnS(4))(4)].2H(2)O (M = Zn (1), Co (2)). The central structural motifs of compounds 1 and 2 are highly charged [M(5)Sn(mu(3)-S)(4)(SnS(4))(4)](10-) anions, being the first T3-type supertetrahedral ternary anions reported to date. The exposure of single crystals of 2 to a dynamic vacuum for several hours resulted in the reversible formation of a partially dehydrated, but still monocrystalline material of the composition [Na(10)(H(2)O)(6)][Co(5)Sn(mu(3)-S)(4)(SnS(4))(4)] (3). The loss of 28 of the 34 water molecules only slightly affects the internal structure of the ternary anion in 3 and leads to a significant compacting of the crystal structure with closer linkage of the [Co(5)Sn(5)S(20)](10-) cluster units via the Na(+) cations. Magnetic measurements on 3 show that the ground state of the Co/Sn/S cluster is S = 1/2, indicating a significant antiferromagnetic coupling between the Co centers, which has also been rationalized by DFT investigations of the electronic situation in the ternary subunits of 1-3.  相似文献
