Self-diffusion coefficients of vanadium in the FeV -phase and in the corresponding -solid solution (Fe-47 wt.% V) measured in the temperature ranges 1002–1115 °C (-phase) and 1230–1320 °C are reported. The found results differ fundamentally and significantly from the relations in ordered and disordered solid solutions [9]. The diffusivity in -phase at the transition temperature (T /=1200 °C) is cca 14 times lower than the diffusivity in the b.c.c. solid solution, the chemical composition of which is the same. The lowering is caused by the different values of frequency factors,D O=0.11 cm2/s andD O=45 cm2/s. The effect of the corresponding activation enthalpiesH =252 kJ/mole andH =293 kJ/mole is small and quite opposite. The occurence of higher activation enthalpyH in the -solid solution at temperaturesT>T / may be attributed to a certain amount of the f.c.c. phase coexisting in the b.c.c. matrix at concentrationsc v>27 wt.% at sufficiently high temperatures [7]. A comparison of vanadium self-diffusion characteristics measured in the -phase to the extrapolated values obtained on the basis of the previous measurements [1] in the Fe-V primary solid solutions 1 shows that the diffusivity ratioD 1/D (1473 K)=33 and that the activation enthalpyH is by about 3% higher than the valuesH 1 (eq. (5)) measured in the uniphase b.c.c. solid solutions.  相似文献

We establish the following new correlation inequalities for the truncated twopoint function of an Ising ferromagnet in a positive external field: j ; l T j ; k T k ; l T , and j ; l T k K j ; k T k l , whereK is any set of sites which separatesj froml. The inequalities are also valid for the pure phases with zero magnetic field at all temperatures. Above the critical temperature they reduce to known inequalities of Griffiths and Simon, respectively.NSERC Postgraduate Fellow, 1978–1981. The purpose of this paper is to review and to extend, wherever possible, the Kramers-Kronig relations, sum rules, and symmetry properties for the electrodynamic transport tensors of a linear plasma medium. For complete generality, we consider both nonrelativistic and relativistic plasmas with and without external magnetic fields. Our study is carried out first within the framework of classical electrodynamics. We then exploit the statistical-mechanical fluctuation-dissipation theorem to further obtain the Onsager symmetry relations and Kubo sum-rule frequency moments. Of special significance is the emergence of a variety of new Kramers-Kronig formulae andf-sum rules for the inverse dispersion tensor.Nomenclature E(k,) electric field intensity - Ê(k,) electric field in absence of plasma particles, - (k,) electric field due to the plasma particles (=E-Ê) - B(k,) magnetic induction - D(k,) electric induction - H(k,) magnetic field strength - B 0 constant external magnetic field - A 0 vector potential corresponding toB 0 - (k,),j(k, co) charge and current densities due to the plasma particles - (k,),J(k,) charge and current densities of the external agency - (k,,B 0) dielectric tensor of the plasma medium in the presence of B0 - (k,,B 0) diamagnetic tensor - (k, co,B 0) (k,,B 0) – 1, electric polarizability tensor - (k,,B 0) magnetic polarizability tensor - (k,,B 0) ordinary conductivity tensor - (k,,B 0) external conductivity tensor - D(k,,B 0) n2T–(k,,B 0), dispersion tensor, where T=1-kk is the transverse projection tensor (k being the unit vector in the direction ofk) andn = kc/ the index of refraction - n2T – 1, = vacuum wave operator (value of D in vacuum) - 1/2( + ), Hermitian part of - ^ 1/2( – ), Anti-Hermitian part of a - , real and imaginary parts of a - R(r,t) dissipated power per unit volume of plasma - U total energy absorbed by the plasma - R(k,) E*(k,) · (k,,b 0) ·E(k,) corresponding spectral energy density - W(r,t) 1/20E2(r, 0 + (l/20) B2(r,t), field energy density - W(k,) 1/20E*k,) ·E(k,) + (l/20)B *(k,) · B(k,), energy content in a certain domain of (k,)-space for a single mode - x i,p i,v i coordinate, momentum, and velocity of ith electron - i [1–(i 2/c2)]–1/2 - X j,P j,V j coordinate, momentum, and velocity of jth ion - {A q}, {Eq} field coordinates and momenta - jk(t),J k(t) perturbations in the microscopic electron and ion current densities due to the presence of the small external vector potential agencyâ(r,t) = (1/L3) âk(t) expi k ·r - Liouville distribution function = 0 + - 0 macrocanonical distribution function characterizing the equilibrium state of the system in the infinite past - small perturbation due toA - H0 Hamiltonian of equilibrium system which includes interaction - H Hamiltonian for the interaction between the system and the small external perturbing agencyA - 0 = dR()0 expectation value of any quantity over the equilibrium ensemble (dR is an element of hypervolume in -phase space) - G(12) two-particle distribution function - F(1) one-particle distribution function - g(¦x2 – x1 ¦) [G(12)/F(1)F(2)] – 1, pair correlation function - N total number of electron in volume L3 - n 0 equilibrium density (of electrons) - –1 temperature (in energy units) - 0 (n0e2/m0)1/2, equilibrium electron plasma frequency - c ¦e ¦–B 0/m, electron frequency - –1 ( 0/n0e2)1/2, Debye length - 0 (n0Ze2/M0)1/2, equilibrium ion plasma frequency - c ZeB0/M, ion cyclotron frequency  相似文献

Hill's analysis of hopping conductivity data has been applied to ion-bombarded amorphous-silicon samples. The apparent hopping conductivity parameters derived from a standardT –0.25 plot undergo changes by several orders of magnitude when plotted with the exact scaling of the abscissa. A typical example is characterized by a temperature dependence ofdc conductivity according to= 0 exp (—(T 0/T) m ), withm=0.45,T 0 =6.4104K and 0=6.6101 –1 cm–1. From 0 a phonon frequency of about 3–151012 s–1 is derived.  相似文献

An analytical expression for the two-frequency correlation function of reflected radiation is derived in the framework of the Kirchhoff approximation, assuming that the mean square roughness heights 1,2 of the upper (1) and lower (2) boundaries are large compared to the wavelength and taking account of large-scale permittivity fluctuations in the layer. The condition under which p cannot be small when i 2 2 is specified. In particular, it is shown that if the scattering is only at the upper boundary of the layer (when 1 0, 2 = = 0), then this condition is , where m, n=0, 1,.... Extension curves have been obtained for Cu-Al solid solutions in the microdeformation range 10–6-10–3. It is shown that the dependence of the resistance to microdeformation on the degree of this deformation is described by = 0 0 + A1/2, where 0 0 is the resistance to the beginning of plastic deformation, and A = const. The stresses F due to frictional forces are determined from the unloading curves. The dependences of 0 0 and F on the Al concentration c in the alloy are studied. The 0 0 = f(c) and F = (c) dependences are analyzed in the light of current ideas regarding the nature of impurity strengthening. The grain size is shown to affect the resistance to microdeformation in Cu-Al alloys.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii Fizika, Vol. 12, No. 5, pp. 94–103, May, 1969.  相似文献

We consider the 4 quantum field theory in two and three spacetime dimensions. In the single phase region the physical mass (inverse correlation length)m() decreases continuously to zero as the bare mass parameter approaches a critical value c from above. In three dimensions the critical point c is in the single phase region and the physical mass vanishes there,m( c )=0.A consequence of our results is that the critical exponentv governing the approach to infinite correlations is bounded below (rigorously) by its classical value, 1/2.Supported in part by the National Science Foundation under Grant MPS74-13252  相似文献

In the Yang-Mills formulation of gravitational dynamics based uponSL(2,C) spin transformations acting on Dirac spinors, the vacuum field equations are R +C R = 0 and and . HereR is the Ricci curvature andC is the Weyl conformal curvature; is a coupling constant. We show the equivalence between solutions of these equations and the vacuum Einstein equationsR = 0. The effective conductivity * of an infinitely interchangeable two-component random medium is considered. This class of media includes cell materials in the continuum and the bond lattice on d , where the cells or bonds are randomly assigned the conductivities 1 and 2 ( 1, 2ne0) with probabilitiesp 1 andp 2=1–p 1. A rigorous basis for the very old and widely used low volume fraction expansion of * is established, by proving that * is an analytic function ofp 2 in a suitable domain containing [0, 1]. In the case of the bond lattice ind=2, rigorous fourth-order upper and lower bounds on * valid for allp 2, 1, and 2 are derived. The four perturbation coefficients entering into the bounds are obtained from the first-order volume fraction coefficient using the method of infinite interchangeability.  相似文献

We study spectral properties of the discrete Laplacian H on the half space Z+ d+1 = Zd× Z+ with a boundary condition (n,-1) = tan( ... n + )(n,0), where [0,1]d. We denote by H0 the Dirichlet Laplacian on Z+ d+1. Whenever is independent over rationals (H) = R. Khoruzenko and Pastur have shown for a set of 's of Lebesgue measure 1, the spectrum of H on R\ (H0) is pure point and that corresponding eigenfunctions decay exponentially. In this Letter we show that if is independent over rationals, then the spectrum of H on the set (H0) is purely absolutely continuous.  相似文献

The general kinetic characteristics of copper fracture in the presence of surface-active bismuth-lead baths during creep and elongation under tension are explained. It is shown that the subcritical stage of crack development controls the process, whereupon the effects of stresses , temperature, strain rate , surface energy at the copper-bath interface SL, and surface energy at the grain boundaries b on the rate of crack development l/ are analyzed. The basic conclusions are that: a)l/=(–) ( and being constants here); b) the crack development activating energy ) the reduction of energy b, achieved by intergranular internal adsorption of 0.5% antimony, lowers the value of about 50 times; d) a 30% increase in surface energy SL reduces the cracking rate 30 times, according to the relation (where A=6 · 10–15 cm2); and e) .Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 5, pp. 7–15, May, 1976.  相似文献

We employ QCD sum rules to calculate the coupling constant g by studying the three point -correlation function. Our result complements the analysis of this coupling constant utilizing the experimental value of the 00 decay rate studied within the framework of chiral perturbation theory including vector meson and meson intermediate states.  相似文献

A detailed phenomenological re-analysis of previously published conductivity data, (T, x), is presented. It is based on the investigation of differences, (T, x 1)–(T, x 2). In this way, the cusp-like low-temperature term is amplified against the other temperature dependent contributions. This term can be described by wherep=0.19±0.03. It is present, if (4.2 K,x) exceeds 260 –1 cm–1, at least up to (4.2 K,x)1350 –1 cm–1 and forT60 K. But it is absent, if (4.2 K,x)180 –1 cm–1. The disappearance of this contribution should be related to the metal-semiconductor transition, taking place atx c 0.14. On the other hand, the presence of a term proportional toT 1/2, as predicted by Altshuler and Aronov, seems unlikely. It is argued that the term should be related to the interplay of electron-electron interaction and disorder. The comparison with data from the literature shows that this contribution might also be present in heavily doped crystalline semiconductors.  相似文献

An analytic gravitational fieldZ (Z y ) is shown to include electromagnetic phenomena. In an almost flat and almost static complex geometryds 2 =zdzdz of four complex variables z=t, x, y, x the field equationsR Rz = –(U U Z ) imply the conventional equations of motion and the conventional electromagnetic field equations to first order if =(Z v) and =(z ) are expressed in terms of the conventional mass density function , the conventional charge density function , and a pressurep as follows: v=const=p/c 2–10–29 gm/cm3.  相似文献

We find the asymptotic decrease of correlations < A +y , B >,yZ v +1, |y|, in the Ising model at high temperatures. For the case when monomials A and B both are odd, using the saddle-point method, we find the asymptotics of the correlations for any dimension . For even monomials A , B we formulate a general hypothesis about the form of the asymptotics and confirm it in two cases: (1) =1 and the vectory has an arbitrary direction, (2)y is directed along a fixed axis and arbitrary . Here we use besides the saddle-point method, some arguments from scattering theory.  相似文献

Muon spin relaxation (SR) studies have been performed in the normal spinel LiTi2O4 and the A-15 superconductor V3Si to measure the magnetic penetration depth . The relaxation rate(T) 1/2 in field-cooled measurements shows a sharp increase belowT c followed by saturation at low temperatures in both systems. This feature implies an isotropic energy gap without anomalous zeros, and most likelys-wave pairing. The low temperature penetration depth (T 0) is determined to be 2100Å for LiTi2O4 and 1300Å for V3Si respectively. Assuming a clean limit relation –2 n s /m *, we derive the Fermi temperatureT F n s/ 2/3 m * from the relaxation rate and the Sommerfeld constant asT F 3/4–1/4. Unlike conventional superconductors, both LiTi2O4 and V3Si have a large ratio ofT c /T F 0.01, only slightly smaller than those ratios in more exotic superconductors. We thank C. Ballard and K. It was shown by A. Neishtadt that dynamical bifurcation, in which the control parameter is varied with a small but finite speed , is characterized by adelay in bifurcation, here denoted j and depending on . Here we study dynamical bifurcation, in the framework and with the language of Landau theory of phase transitions, in the presence of a Gaussian noise of strength . By numerical experiments at fixed = 0, we study the dependence of j on a for order parameters of dimension 3; an exact scaling relation satisfied by the equations permits us to obtain for this the behavior for general . We find that in the smallnoise regime j() a(b ), while in the strong-noise regime j() – ce(–d); we also measure the parameters in these formulas.  相似文献

The2H(d, )4He differential cross section was measured at deuteron laboratory energies of 20, 24, and 28 MeV between cm=45° and cm=135°. AtE d =28 MeV a complete angular distribution was determined and fitted with Legendre polynomials. The ratioR=d/d (cm=90°)/d/d (cm=135°) was measured for each deuteron energy.  相似文献

For automorphism groups of operator algebras we show how properties of the difference t – ' t are reflected in relations between the generators , . Indeed for a von Neumann algebraM with separable predual we show that if t – 't 0.28 for smallt, then = 0(+)°-1 where is an inner automorphism ofM and is a bounded derivation ofM. If the difference t – ' t =O(t) ast ; 0, then = + and if t – ' t 0.28 for allt then =. We prove analogous results for unitary groups on a Hilbert space andC 0,C 0 * groups on a Banach space. This paper subsumes an earlier work of the same title which appeared as a report from Z.I.F. der Universität BielefeldWith partial support of the U.S. National Science Foundation  相似文献

The temperature-frequency dependences of the conductivity (), capacitance (C), and dielectric-loss coefficient () have been measured for metalglass film (composition As30Ge10Si12Te48)-metal structures in an alternating electric field. The glass film was obtained by the method of radiofrequency sputtering in an argon atmosphere, and the top and bottom molybdenum electrodes by thermal evaporation in vacuum. The measurements were made in the frequency range 4·102–2·104 Hz at temperatures 209–299°K. The relaxation component r= of the conductivity for T < 240°K and high frequencies does not depend on the temperature (T) and is proportional to 0.8. At higher temperatures, r() is described by a complicated curve, which has at low frequencies the behavior 2 and goes over to saturation at large values of . In this range of frequencies and for positive temperatures r exp(E/T), where E 0.45 eV. The frequency-temperature dependences of r, C, and ' are interpreted on the basis of Fröhlich's model. The calculated and experimental curves are compared. It is assumed that the loss of relaxation type is due to two processes, one of which is governed by carrier hops between localized states near the Fermi level and is predominant at low temperatures. The other is determined by carrier hops between the same states through the valence band and is predominant at positive temperatures.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 9, pp. 35–39, September, 1980.  相似文献
