Acrylonitrile reacts with aromatic aldehyde imines containing a hydroxy group in the β- or γ-position to give 70–85% of the corresponding 2-aryl-3-cyanoethyltetrahydro-1,3-oxazines or 2-aryl-3-cyanoethyl-1,3-oxazolidines, respectively. Metal β-diketonates react with sulfur dichloride to form sulfenyl chlorides irrespective of β-substituent. Bulky phenyl and tert-butyl groups do not prevent formation of fully substituted complexes. The possibility of preparing sulfenyl chloride derivatives of rhodium, ruthenium, and vanadium β-diketonates was demonstrated. A new procedure was suggested for preparing chlorosulfenyl-substituted β-diketonates. Complexation in a KF-SbF3-H2O system is studied in a range of molar ratios of fluorides KF : SbF3= (0.1–2) : 1 by calorimetric titration. The equilibrium formation constants of complexes KSb2F7, KSbF4, and K2SbF5 (5.8×105±800, 3.3×104±500, and 1.9×106± 950, respectively) and the changes in enthalpy (–31.75± 0.74, –28.15±0.44, and –25.5±0.64 J mol–1, respectively) and entropy (4±7, –8±5, and –35±9 J mol–1 K–1, respectively) are determined. The spirocyclic compounds bis[2′,3′-bis(methoxycarbonyl)-5′,6′,6′ -trimethylspirofluoren-9,4′-(1′-aza-2′-cyclopentene)][1′,5′ -a]indolino[4,5-e]indoline and bis[2-,3′-bis(methoxycarbonyl)-5′,6′,6′ -trimethylspiro-fluoren-9,4′-(1′-aza-2′-cyclopentene)][1′,5′ -a]indolino[7,6-g]indoline exhibit photochromic properties with various half-lifes. The secondary structures of globular proteins of different structural types (α, (α + β), and β) are studied in the adsorption layers at the solution-air interface using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Similar investigations are performed for the initial proteins in a powdered state; these data are used as a control. It is shown that, at the water-air interface, either the secondary structure of the studied proteins changes insignificantly or remains intact depending on the structural type of a protein. The adsorption of proteins of the α-helical type (bovine and human serum albumins) and the (α + β) type (lysozyme) virtually do not result in changes in their secondary structure. Micellar preconcentration of 1 : 2 associates of Bromophenol Blue with cetyltrimethylammonium bromide is proposed to improve the procedure for the spectrophotometric determination of cationic surfactants. The preconcentration procedure involves quantitative extraction by reversed micelles of Triton N-42 in decane followed by the decomposition of the micellar solution with chloroform. The loss of 10–7–10–5 M cetyltrimethylammonium bromide in 5–100-fold preconcentration was not supported by the added-found method (RSD = 3–5%).
