A new cyano-bridged Tb(III)-Cr(III) heterometallic complex [Tb(H(2)O)(2)(DMF)(4){Cr(CN)(6)}]·H(2)O (DMF = dimethylformamide) (1), assembled from paramagnetic hexacyanochromium(III) [Cr(CN)(6)](3-) building block and highly anisotropic terbium(III) ion has been prepared and structurally and magnetically characterized. Complex 1 shows one-dimensional (1D) zig-zag chain-like structural motif which is further extended into three-dimensional network through hydrogen-bonding interactions. The long-range magnetic ordering observed in complex 1, which is possibly due to interchain magnetic dipolar interactions, illuminates that this complex is a molecule-based magnet with critical temperature of about 5 K. This higher critical temperature among those of Ln(III)-Cr(III) heterometallic complexes exhibiting long-range magnetic ordering is probably due to the introduction of highly anisotropic terbium(III) ion.  相似文献

A new type of one-dimensional cyanide-bridged Cu(II)--Mo(V) bimetallic assembly, [Cu(cyclam)](3)[Mo(CN)(8)](2)x5H(2)O (cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane), was prepared by self-assembling Mo(CN)(8)(3)(-) and Cu(cyclam)(2+) ions in a 2:3 stoichiometric ratio. The overall molecular view is delineated as a novel rope-ladder chain structure. It displays a dominant ferromagnetic behavior within a pentanuclear Cu(3)Mo(2) unit (J(p) = 3.88 cm(-)(1)). Interunit ferromagnetic interactions (J(c) = -0.03 cm(-)(1)) through a longer magnetic pathway of Cu--Mo and weak antiferromagnetic couplings (zJ' = -0.46 cm(-)(1)) resulting from interchain interactions are obtained.  相似文献

A single crystal of the title compound [MnII6(H2O)9[W(V)(CN)8]4 x 13H2O]n was synthesized in a hot aqueous solution containing octacyanotungstate, Na3[W(CN)8] x 3H2O, and Mn(ClO4)2 x 6H2O. The compound crystallized in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c with cell constants a = 15.438(2) A, b = 14.691(2) A, c = 33.046(2) A, beta = 94.832(9) degrees, and Z = 4. The crystal consists of a W(V)-CN-MnII linked three-dimensional network [[MnII(H2O)]3[MnII(H2O)2]3[W(V)(CN)8]4]n and H2O molecules as crystal solvates. There are two kinds of W sites: one is close to a dodecahedron geometry with six bridging and two terminal CN ligands; the other is close to a bicapped trigonal prism with seven bridging and one terminal CN ligands. The field-cooled magnetization measurement showed that the compound exhibits a spontaneous magnetization below Tc = 54 K. Further magnetization measurements on the field dependence reveal it to be a ferrimagnet where all of the MnII ions are antiparallel to all the W(V) ions.  相似文献

The use of a new precursor, mer-[Fe(mpzcq)(CN)3]- (1), produced a dimeric molecule, [Fe(mpzcq)(CN)3][Mn(salen)(H2O)] x H2O (2), and a one-dimensional zigzag chain, [Fe(mpzcq)(CN)3][Mn(salcy)] x MeOH x MeCN (3). Antiferromagnetic couplings are operating between magnetic centers through CN ligands, and a field-induced metamagnetic transition is observed in 3.  相似文献

Using Bu4N[Fe(Tp*)(CN)3]? (Tp* = hydrotris(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)borate) as the building block to react with CuII and N-methylimidazole, we obtained a one-dimensional (1D) heterobimetallic cyano-bridged chain, [Fe(Tp*)(CN)3]2Cu(N-methylimidazole)2·2H2O (1). The crystal structures and magnetic studies demonstrate that complex 1 exhibits slow relaxation of the magnetization due to strong intrachain ferromagnetic coupling and weak interchain interactions.  相似文献

Two cyano-bridged tetranuclear complexes composed of Mn(III) salen (salen = N,N'-ethylene bis(salicylideneiminate)) and hexacyanometalate(III) (M = Fe, Cr) in a stoichiometry of 3:1 have been selectively synthesized using {NH2(n-C12H25)2}3[M(III)(CN)6] (M(III) = Fe, Cr) starting materials: [{Mn(salen)(EtOH)}3{M(CN)6}] (M = Fe, 1; Cr, 2). Compounds 1 and 2 are isostructural with a T-shaped structure, in which [M(CN)6]3- assumes a meridional-tridentate building block to bind three [Mn(salen)(EtOH)]+ units. The strong frequency dependence and observation of hysteresis on the field dependence of the magnetization indicate that 1 is a single-molecule magnet.  相似文献

A series of isostructural cyano-bridged Mn(III)(h.s.)-M(III)(l.s.) alternating chains, [Mn(III)(5-TMAMsalen)M(III)(CN)(6)]?4H(2)O (5-TMAMsalen(2-)=N,N'-ethylenebis(5-trimethylammoniomethylsalicylideneiminate), Mn(III)(h.s.)=high-spin Mn(III), M(III)(l.s.)=low-spin Co(III), Mn-Co; Fe(III), Mn-Fe; Mn(III), Mn-Mn; Cr(III), Mn-Cr) was synthesized by assembling [Mn(III)(5-TMAMsalen)](3+) and [M(III)(CN)(6)](3-). The chains present in the four compounds, which crystallize in the monoclinic space group C2/c, are composed of an [-Mn(III)-NC-M(III)-CN-] repeating motif, for which the -NC-M(III)-CN- motif is provided by the [M(III)(CN)(6)](3-) moiety adopting a trans bridging mode between [Mn(III)(5-TMAMsalen)](3+) cations. The Mn(III) and M(III) ions occupy special crystallographic positions: a C(2) axis and an inversion center, respectively, forming a highly symmetrical chain with only one kind of cyano bridge. The Jahn-Teller axis of the Mn(III)(h.s.) ion is perpendicular to the N(2)O(2) plane formed by the 5-TMAMsalen tetradentate ligand. These Jahn-Teller axes are all perfectly aligned along the unique chain direction without a bending angle, although the chains are corrugated with an Mn-N(axis) -C angle of about 144°. In the crystal structures, the chains are well separated with the nearest inter-chain M???M distance being relatively large at 9?? due to steric hindrance of the bulky trimethylammoniomethyl groups of the 5-TMAMsalen ligand. The magnetic properties of these compounds have been thoroughly studied. Mn-Fe and Mn-Mn display intra-chain ferromagnetic interactions, whereas Mn-Cr is characterized by an antiferromagnetic exchange that induces a ferrimagnetic spin arrangement along the chain. Detailed analyses of both static and dynamic magnetic properties have demonstrated without ambiguity the single-chain magnet (SCM) behavior of these three systems, whereas Mn-Co is merely paramagnetic with S(Mn)=2 and D/k(B)=-5.3?K (D being a zero-field splitting parameter). At low temperatures, the Mn-M compounds with M=Fe, Mn, and Cr display remarkably large M versus H hysteresis loops for applied magnetic fields along the easy magnetic direction that corresponds to the chain direction. The temperature dependence of the associated relaxation time for this series of compounds systematically exhibits a crossover between two Arrhenius laws corresponding to infinite-chain and finite-chain regimes for the SCM behavior. These isostructural hetero-spin SCMs offer a unique series of alternating [-Mn-NC-M-CN-] chains, enabling physicists to test theoretical SCM models between the Ising and Heisenberg limits.  相似文献

Five new complexes of composition [Cu(dpt)Ni(CN)4] (1) (dpt=dipropylenetriamine), [Cu(dien)Ni(CN)4]·2H2O (2) (dien=diethylenetriamine), [Cu(N,N′-dimeen)Ni(CN)4]·H2O (3) (N,N′-dimeen=N,N′-dimethylethylenediamine), [Cu(N,N-dimeen)Ni(CN)4]·H2O (4) (N,N-dimeen=N,N-dimethylethylenediamine) and [Cu(trimeen)Ni(CN)4] (5) (trimeen=N,N,N′-trimethylethylenediamine) have been obtained by the reactions of the mixture of Cu(ClO4)2·6H2O, appropriate amine and K2[Ni(CN)4] in water and have been characterized by IR and UV–Vis spectroscopies and magnetic measurements. The crystal structure of [Cu(dpt)Ni(CN)4] (1) has been determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The structure of 1 consists of a one-dimensional polymeric chain ---Cu(dpt)---NC---Ni(CN)2---CN---Cu(dpt)--- in which the Cu(II) and Ni(II) atoms are linked by CN groups. The nickel atom is four coordinate with four cyanide-carbon atoms (two cyano groups are terminal and two cyano groups (in cis fashion) are bridged) in a square-planar arrangement and the copper atom is five coordinate with two cyanide-nitrogen and three dpt-nitrogen atoms, in a distorted square-pyramidal arrangement. The temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility (2–300 K) was measured for compound 1. The magnetic investigation showed the presence of a very weak antiferromagnetic interaction (J=−0.16 cm−1) between the copper atoms within each chain through the diamagnetic Ni(CN)4 2− ions.  相似文献

Self-assembly of a new precursor [Cu(L)](ClO4)2 (1) (L = macrocyclic ligand) with octacyanometalates [M(CN)8]3- (M = Mo, W) produced two-dimensional cyano-bridged Cu(II)-M(V) bimetallic assemblies [Cu(L)]3n[M(CN)8]2n.6nH2O [M = Mo (2), W (3)] with novel honeycomblike structures, characterized by spectroscopic data, single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies, and magnetic measurements. The crystallographic determination reveals that compounds 2 and 3 are isostructural and crystallize in the triclinic system (P). The Cu atom in a distorted octahedral environment experiences a tetragonal elongation of apical nitrogen atoms exhibiting average Cu-Nax lengths of 2.566 Angstroms for 2 and 2.593 Angstroms for 3, which accounts for the Jahn-Teller effect of a Cu(II) ion. The Cu-NC angles are magnetically important, ranging from 135.7 to 159.2 degrees. Three types of L in the crystal lattice are observed, which are dependent on the relative positions of the pendant hydroxyl groups with respect to the CuN4 basal plane. The positions are correlated with hydrogen bonding of OH groups to neighboring atoms. The magnetic data indicate that ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions between Cu(II) and M(V) through the CN linkage coexist.  相似文献

Reactions of the precursors [Ni(macrocyclic ligand)](2+) with [W(CN)(8)](3-) afford two octacyanotungstate-based assemblies, (H(2)L(1))(0.5)[Ni(L(1))][W(CN)(8)]·2DMF·H(2)O (L(1) = 5,7,7,12,14,14-hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) (1) and [Ni(L(2))](3)[W(CN)(8)](2)·4H(2)O (L(2) = 3,10-dipropyl-1,3,5,8,10,12-hexaazacyclotetradecane) (2). Single crystal X-ray diffraction shows that 1 consists of anionic one-dimensional (1D) linear chains, while 2 is built of 2D graphite-like layers with (6, 3) topology. Magnetic studies reveal that both complexes exhibit metamagnetic behavior from the spin-canted antiferromagnet to the ferromagnet induced by field.  相似文献

A one‐dimensional cyanide‐bridged coordination polymer, poly[[aquadi‐μ‐cyanido‐κ4C:N‐hexacyanido‐κ6C‐(dimethylformamide‐κO)bis(3,4,7,8‐tetramethyl‐1,10‐phenanthroline‐κ2N,N′)terbium(III)molybdate(V)] 4.5‐hydrate], [MoTb(CN)8(C16H16N2)2(C3H7NO)(H2O)]·4.5H2O}n, has been prepared and characterized through IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. The compound consists of one‐dimensional chains in which cationic [Tb(tmphen)2(DMF)(H2O)]3+ (tmphen is 3,4,7,8‐tetramethyl‐1,10‐phenanthroline) and anionic [MoV(CN)8]3− units are linked in an alternating fashion through bridging cyanide ligands. Neighbouring chains are connected by three types of hydrogen bonds (O—H...O, O—H...N and C—H...O) and by π–π interactions to form a three‐dimensional supramolecular structure. In addition, magnetic investigations show that ferromagnetic interactions exist in the compound.  相似文献
