In this study, the syntheses of two new Mo(VI) and Ni(II) complexes with H2L tridentate (ONO) Schiff-base ligand have been described and fully characterized by means of elemental analysis, FT–IR, electronic, 1H-NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. In both complexes, the Schiff-base completely deprotonates and coordinates to the metal ion as a dianionic tridentate ligand via the donor oxygens and nitrogen atoms. The coordination numbers of Mo(VI) and Ni(II) are six and four, respectively. The DFT-B3LYP/6–31 + G (d,p) and PBEPBE/6–31 + G (d,p) calculations are carried out for the determination of the optimized structures. Frequency calculations and NBO analysis are also performed for characterization. According to the theoretical analysis of the complexes, ligand-to-metal donation is greater than back donation. NBO data revealed that the main contribution of the frontier orbitals belongs to L−2. 相似文献

Two dinuclear oxalato-bridged zinc(II) complexes, [Zn2(bbma)2(μ2-η4-ox)](ClO4)2 (1) and [Zn2(ntb)2(μ2-η2-ox)](ClO4)2·4CH3OH (2), containing tridentate and tetradentate polybenzimidazole ligands were synthesized, where bbma is bis(benzimidazol-2-yl-methyl)amine and ntb is tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)amine. They were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR, and fluorescence spectroscopy. Zinc(II) complexes in 1 and 2 are five-coordinate in distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry. Oxalate bridges two zinc(II) ions as a bis-bidentate chelate in 1, while bis-monodentate in 2. The Zn?Zn distances are 5.318(1)?Å for 1 and 7.1295(5)?Å for 2, respectively. 1-D chain structures are formed in 2 by intermolecular hydrogen bonds. The solid state fluorescence spectra have been studied for 1 and 2. 相似文献

Seven Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes of ON donor acetone-N(4)-phenylsemicarbazone (HL) have been synthesized and physico-chemically characterized by partial elemental analyses, molar conductance measurements, infrared, electronic and 1H NMR spectral studies. The semicarbazone binds the metal as a neutral bidentate ligand in all the complexes. The crystal structures of acetone-N(4)-phenylsemicarbazone and [Cd(HL)2Cl2] have been determined by X-ray diffraction studies. The coordination geometry around cadmium(II) in the complex [Cd(HL)2Cl2] is distorted octahedral. 相似文献

Isothiocyanate complexes of Zn(II) and Cd(II) with the condensation product of 2,6-diacetylpyridine and trimethylammoniumacetohydrazide (Girard’s T reagent) were synthesized, characterized, and their antimicrobial activities were evaluated. The structures of the complexes were determined by elemental analysis, IR, and NMR spectroscopy. The crystal structure of the Zn(II) complex was also determined. Quantum-chemical calculations of the geometry and total energy of isomers of 2,6-diacetylpyridine-bis(trimethylammoniumacetohydrazone) were performed in vacuum and methanol solution, with the aim to explain conformational behavior and E/Z isomerism of this compound. DFT calculations of the molecular structures and the relative stabilities of linkage isomers of the Cd(II) complex showed that the isomer with N–Cd–N coordination of SCN? is the most stable. Complexes of Zn(II) and Cd(II) exhibited low to moderate activity against the tested microbial strains. 相似文献

DFT B3LYP/LANL2DZ method was employed to calculate electron properties and the second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) respond of platinum (II) complexes which have been synthesized by Weinstein group. 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline shows the ability to push electron in these complexes. Metal Pt plays a balancing charge role. Comparing complex 1b–6b with complex a, the βvec value of complex 1b–5b is larger than one of complex a, while the βvec value of complex 6b is smaller than one of complex a. In these seven complexes, the βvec values of complexes increase with decreasing of the energy difference between HOMO and LUMO. Moreover, the electron transfers from deeper layer occupied orbitals to empty orbitals have a distinct contribution to second-order NLO coefficient. The reactions of nickel(II), copper(II), and zinc(II) acetate salts with a potentially tetradentate biphenyl-bridged bis(pyrrole-2-yl-methyleneamine) ligand yielded three complexes with different coordination geometries. X-ray crystal structural analysis reveals that in the nickel(II) complex each nickel is five-coordinate, distorted trigonal bipyramid. In the copper(II) complex, each copper is four-coordinate, between square planar and tetrahedral. In the zinc(II) complex, each zinc is four-coordinate with a distorted tetrahedral geometry and the molar ratio of the zinc and ligand is 1 : 2. 相似文献

The rhenium(II) dinitrosyl and mononitrosyl complexes, i.e. [Re(NO)2(CN)4]·(Phen)2·2H2O (1) and PhenH[Re(NO)(CN)4(H2O)]·(Phen)·3H2O (2) have been isolated and characterized. The X-ray crystal structure of 2 reveals that Re(II) is octahedrally coordinated with one nitrosyl, four cyanides, and one water, with one phenanthroline protonated to compensate the charge of the Re(II) center. The crystal structure shows chemically significant non-covalent interactions like hydrogen bonding involving the uncoordinated water and π–π interactions between phenanthrolinium and phen. The structures of both complexes have been optimized by DFT. Absorption and emission spectral studies and viscosity measurements indicate that both 1 and 2 interact with calf thymus DNA through partial intercalation of DNA bases. The intrinsic-binding constants, obtained from UV–vis spectroscopic studies, are 1.2?×?104 and 7.2?×?104?M?1 for 1 and 2, respectively. Both 1 and 2 are capable of inducing cleavage of plasmid DNA in the presence of H2O2 to form the supercoiled form to nicked circular form. The spectroscopic results of DNA binding are supported by molecular docking studies. 相似文献

Complexes CuL3Cl2, PdL2Cl2 and PtL2Cl2, where L is a novel ligand from the series of 2-substituted 5-aminotetrazoles, namely 5-amino-2-tert-butyltetrazole (1), have been synthesized by the reaction of metal(II) chlorides with 1 and characterized by IR spectroscopy, thermal and X-ray analyses. The crystallographic structural analysis of these complexes revealed that 1 acts as a monodentate ligand coordinated to the metal via endocyclic N4 atom. Platinum complex demonstrates promising cytotoxicity against human cervical carcinoma cells with IC50 value average between those of cisplatin and carboplatin. 相似文献

AbstractA new asymmetric tetradentate Schiff base, bis(5-methoxysalicylidene)-4-methylbenzene-1,2-diamine), H2L, and its Ni(II) complex were prepared and characterized using elemental analyses (CHN), FTIR, UV–Vis, 1H NMR, and 13C{1H} NMR spectroscopic techniques, and crystal structures of both were determined by X-ray crystallography. For both ligand and Ni(II) complex, density functional theory calculations to find geometry parameters, IR frequencies, electronic properties, and natural bond orbital analysis (NBO) were done with M062X method and Def2-TZVP basis set. All calculated data are consistent with the experiments. NBO data for the Ni(II) complex show that the main type of transition in UV-Vis is interligand charge-transfer, which is assigned as π-π*. 相似文献

Five picolinato zinc(II) and cadmium(II) complexes, [Zn(ntb)(pic)]ClO4·CH3OH·2H2O (1), [Zn(bbma)(pic)]NO3·2CH3OH (2), [Cd(ntb)(pic)]ClO4·0.75CH3OH·H2O (3), [Cd2(bbma)2(pic)2](ClO4)2 (4), and [Cd2(bbp)(bbp-H)(pic)2(C2H5OH)]ClO4 (5), have been synthesized, where pic is the anion of picolinic acid, ntb is tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)amine, bbma is bis(benzimidazol-2-yl-methyl)amine, and bbp is 2,6-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)pyridine. All the complexes were characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, elemental analysis, IR, fluorescence spectroscopy, and thermal gravimetric analysis. 1–3 are mononuclear complexes in which picolinate adopts a N,O-chelating mode. 4 is a symmetrical dinuclear complex bridged by two anti-parallel picolinates in a N,O,O-coordination mode. 5 is also a dinuclear complex in which only one picolinate is a bridge. A 1-D double chain is formed by extensive H-bonds and π–π stacking in 1, while single zigzag chains are formed in 5. Complexes 2–4 all exhibit 63-hcb 2-D frameworks. They extend to form four-connected 66-dia 3-D topological nets for 2 and 4 and five-connected 46·64-bnn 3-D topological nets for 3. The five complexes show emission maxima in the blue region in the solid state. 相似文献

Five zinc(II) complexes, [Zn(L1)2] (1), [Zn(L1)2(phen)H2O]·H2O (2), [Zn(L1)2(bipy)] (3), [Zn(L2)2] (4), and [Zn(L2)2(phen)] (5) (where L1?=?4-nitrophenylacetate, L2?=?phenylacetate, phen?=?1,10-phenanthroline and bipy?=?2,2′-bipyridine), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, and multinuclear NMR. Complexes 2, 3, and 4 have been confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. In 2 and 3, zinc is bonded monodentate to two carboxylates exhibiting distorted trigonal bipyramidal and tetrahedral geometries, respectively, whereas in 4, the carboxylates are bridging bidentate in distorted tetrahedral geometry. The complexes have been screened for electro- and biological activities, including DNA interaction and enzyme inhibition studies. The effect of concentration of 1–5 on the activity of enzyme, alkaline phosphatase, showed that an increase in concentration of complex decreased the activity of the enzyme. Electrochemical behavior of HL1, 2, and 3 was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and it was observed that ligand-centered electro-activity exhibits a proportionate change on complexation. The UV–visible spectroscopic and viscometric data indicate electrostatic and groove binding of the complexes with DNA. The binding constant and Gibb’s free energy values indicate the feasibility of the complex–DNA interaction and show potent biological activity of the complexes. 相似文献

An asymmetric bidentate Schiff-base ligand (2-hydroxybenzyl-2-furylmethyl)imine (L–OH) was prepared. Three complexes derived from L–OH were synthesized by treating an ethanolic solution of the appropriate ligand with an equimolar amount of metallic salt. Three complexes, Cu2(L–O?)2Cl2 (1), Ni(L–O?)2 (2) and Co(L–O?)3 (3), have been structurally characterized through elemental analysis, IR, UV spectra and thermogravimetric analysis. Single crystal X-ray diffraction shows metal ions and ligands reacted with different proportions 1?:?1, 1?:?2 and 1?:?3, respectively, so copper(II), nickel(II), and cobalt(III) have different geometries. 相似文献

[PtCl2(SMe2)2] reacts with (N,N′-bis(salicylidene)-1,2-cyclohexanediamine) to give (N,N′-bis(salicylidene)cyclohexane-1,2-diamine)platinum(II). The complex has been characterized by elemental analysis, infrared (IR), UV-Vis, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Pt(II) is in a square-planar environment, coordinated by a chelating N2O2 donor. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations such as geometry optimization, vibrational frequency, electronic properties, and natural bond orbital (NBO) have been performed for the platinum compound using the OLYP method at TZP(6-311G*) basis set. The optimization calculation shows that the geometry parameters can be reproduced with the OLYP/TZP basis set. Experimental IR frequencies and calculated vibrational frequencies support each other. Time-dependent DFT has been used for absorption wavelengths and results were compared with experimental data. Moreover, NBO analysis has been performed. 相似文献

Abstract A biocompatible zinc (II) complex based on a tetradentate N,N,O,O-type salen ligand was synthesized, characterized and used for the solvent-free ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of L-lactide in bulk at 180?°C to prepare high molecular weight poly(L-lactide) (Mn : 82,600?Da; Mw : 140,000?Da; PDI: 1.70). Poly(L-lactide) (PLLA) was characterized using FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, GPC, TGA, DSC, WAXD, and MALDI-ToF. Kinetic measurement was carried out and first-order behavior to monomer was observed. The k app was found as 6?±?0.001?×?10?4?s?1. The biocompatibility of the PLLA was confirmed by in vitro cytotoxicity against NIH/3T3 fibroblast cell line and can be used in biomedical applications. 相似文献

The reaction of Cu(ClO4)2·6H2O and Cd(ClO4)2 with di-(2-picolyl)sulfur (dps) leads to the formation of mononuclear complexes [Cu(dps)(H2O)(ClO4)](ClO4) (1) and [Cd(dps)2](ClO4)2 (2). The crystal structure of 1 exhibits a distorted square pyramidal geometry, coordinated by one sulfur and two nitrogen atoms from the dps ligand, one
water molecule and one perchlorate oxygen atom. For 2, the environment around cadmium atom is in a distorted octahedron with four nitrogen and two sulfur atoms from the dps ligand.
Cyclic voltammetric data show that complexes undergo two waves of a one-electron transfer corresponding to M(II)/M(III) and
M(II)/M(I) processes. Spectral and electrochemical behaviors of the complexes are also discussed. 相似文献

Two new potentially octadentate N2O6 Schiff-base ligands 2-((E)-(2-(2-(2-((E)-2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylideneamino)phenoxy)phenoxy)phenylimino)methyl)-6-methoxyphenol H2L1 and 2-((E)-(2-(2-(2-((E)-2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylideneamino)phenoxy)-4-tert-butylphenoxy)phenylimino)methyl)-6-methoxyphenol H2L2 were prepared from the reaction of O-Vaniline with 1,2-bis(2′-aminophenoxy)benzene or 1,2-bis(2′-aminophenoxy)-4-t-butylbenzene, respectively. Reactions of H2L1 and H2L2 with copper(II) and zinc(II) salts in methanol in the presence of N(Et)3 gave neutral [CuL1]?·?0.5CH2Cl2, [CuL2], [ZnL1]?·?0.5CH2Cl2, and [ZnL2] complexes. The complexes were characterized by IR spectra, elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, ESI–MS spectra, molar conductance (Λm), UV-Vis spectra and, in the case of [ZnL1]?·?0.5CH2Cl2 and [ZnL2], with 1H- and 13C-NMR. The crystal structure of [ZnL1]?·?0.5CH2Cl2 has also been determined showing the metal ion in a highly distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry. The electrochemical behavior of H2L2 and its Cu(II) complex, [CuL2], was studied and the formation constant of [CuL2] was evaluated using cyclic voltammetry. The logarithm value of formation constant of [CuL2] is 21.9. 相似文献
