The optical density at the wavelength from 300 to 800 nm and the rheological behavior of gelatinized starch at its concentration from 3 to 30 g/L and the medium pH from 2 to 11 were investigated. The volume concentration of the swelling associates of macromolecules or their globules increases when pH of gelatinized starch rises. An influence of the volume concentration of gelatinized starch on the dependence of the shear stress on shear rate was studied. The dynamic viscosity is proportional to the volume concentration at the gelatinized starch concentration lower than 25% and proportional to the logarithm of the volume concentration at the starch concentration greater than 25%. Proposed mathematical model takes into account an influence of the volume concentration of swelling starch globules and the concentration of glucoside links of macromolecules between the globules of macromolecules or their associates on the dynamic viscosity of gelatinized starch. This model allows to describe the experimental data obtained.  相似文献

The effects of added unmodified amylopectin starch, modified amylopectin starch and amylose starch on the formation and properties of emulsions (4 wt.% corn oil) made with an extensively hydrolysed commercial whey protein (WPH) product under a range of conditions were examined. The rate of coalescence was calculated based on the changes in the droplet size of the emulsions during storage at 20 degrees C. The rates of creaming and coalescence in emulsions containing amylopectin starches were enhanced with increasing concentration of the starches during storage for up to 7 days. At a given starch concentration, the rate of coalescence was higher in the emulsions containing modified amylopectin starch than in those containing unmodified amylopectin starch, whereas it was lowest in the emulsions containing amylose starch. All emulsions containing unmodified and modified amylopectin starches showed flocculation of oil droplets by a depletion mechanism. However, flocculation was not observed in the emulsions containing amylose starch. The extent of flocculation was considered to correlate with the rate of coalescence of oil droplets. The different rates of coalescence could be explained on the basis of the strength of the depletion potential, which was dependent on the molecular weight and the radius of gyration of the starches. At high levels of starch addition (>1.5%), the rate of coalescence decreased gradually, apparently because of the high viscosity of the aqueous phase caused by the starch.  相似文献

以N,N′-亚甲基双丙烯酰胺为交联剂,过硫酸铵为引发剂,采用“溶剂法”工艺合成了高粘度抗剪切丙烯酸钠接枝淀粉(St),考察了单体、引发剂和交联剂用量、丙烯酸中和度、反应时间及反应温度对合成交联丙烯酸钠接枝淀粉糊液粘度的影响。 结果表明,其优化反应条件为:m(淀粉)∶m(丙烯酸)=1∶1.5,乙醇质量分数为80%,过硫酸铵的用量为单体总质量的1%,交联剂为单体总质量的0.6%,反应时间2.5 h,反应温度为55 ℃,丙烯酸中和度为70%。 该交联接枝淀粉糊液具有良好的触变性,在4%盐水泥浆中的添加量为14.0 g/L时,表观粘度为26.0 mPa·s,滤失量为7.2 mL;在饱和盐水泥浆中添加量为23.5 g/L时,表观粘度为54.5 mPa·s,滤失量为3.1 mL;在80 ℃高温下老化16 h其表观粘度及滤失量等性能基本保持不变,表现出良好的增粘、降失水作用和抗盐、抗老化性能。  相似文献

We have obtained the theoretical dependences of stromal metabolite steady-state concentrations on external inorganic phosphate (P(i)) concentration. For this purpose, the theoretical model of photosynthesis, earlier described in [Ann. Appl. Biol. 138 (2001) 117], was modified to account for the regulation of starch formation by 3-phosphoglycerate (PGA) to P(i) ratio. When the rate constant of starch synthesis is taken to be independent on PGA/P(i) ratio, the steady-state concentrations of Calvin cycle metabolites and starch were found to change insignificantly as external P(i) concentration increases in wide range. However, as external P(i) range exceeds a critical value, the steady-state concentrations of all metabolites change abruptly. If the rate constant of starch synthesis depends on PGA/P(i) ratio, the steady-state concentrations of stromal metabolites change qualitatively in the same way with the increase of external P(i). However, no abrupt changes of metabolite and starch steady-state levels at high concentration of P(i) are observed. These results testify that the control of starch synthesis by PGA/P(i) ratio makes the photosynthetic system more stable in wide range of external P(i) concentrations.  相似文献

本文研究了淀粉磷酸酯(PS)的粘度性质,包括剪切应力和剪切速率之间的关系、粘度和剪切速率之间的关系、浓度对粘度的影响、粘度对温度的依赖性,以及粘度的时间稳定性,并且与羧甲基淀粉(CMS)和羧甲基纤维素(CMC)水溶液的粘度性质作了比较。结果表明,PS的粘度与CMS或CMC相近似;在浓度为0.5~1.5%时增稠效果较显著;CMC具有较高的剪切稳定性,PS次之,而CMS较差;PS具有较长的时间稳定性,但热稳定性则较差。  相似文献

The objective of this work was to understand and optimize the flocculation of a marine alga Nannochloropsis oculata with two cationic salts, aluminum sulfate (AS), and ferric chloride (FC). Based on single-factor and response-surface-methodology experiments, second-order polynomial models were developed to examine the effect of initial algal biomass concentration (IABC), pH, and flocculant dose (FD) on final solid concentration of algae (SCA). The experimental and modeling results showed that SCA favored low pH, which however was undesirable to biomass recovery rate. There existed a positive stoichiometric relationship between FD and IABC; higher IABC required higher FD, and vice versa, for higher SCA. Optimum flocculation conditions were predicted at IABC of 1.7 g/l, pH?8.3, and FD of 383.5 μM for AS, and IABC of 2.2 g/l, pH?7.9, and FD of 438.1 μM for FC, under which the predicted maximum SCA were 32.98 and 30.10 g/l using AS and FC, respectively. The predictions were close to validation experimental results, indicating that the models can be used to guide and optimize the flocculation of N. oculata using AS and FC as the flocculants.  相似文献

Using the resistance-in-series (RIS) approach to permeate flux modeling, a general relationship between permeate flux, transmembrane pressure, cross-flow velocity, and feed kinematic viscosity was developed for the tubular ultrafiltration (UF) of synthetic oil-in-water emulsions. The fouling layer resistance, Rf, was 63% of the total membrane resistance, Rm′; however, concentration polarization was the predominant factor controlling resistance in the tubular UF system. An explicit form of the resistance index, Φ, was postulated based on the observed interactions between Φ, cross-flow velocity and feed kinematic viscosity and the RIS model was modified to further describe the interactions between permeate flux and operational parameters. The modified model adequately predicted flux–pressure data over the range of experimental variables examined in this study. Additionally, a set point operating pressure was determined as a function of cross-flow velocity and feed viscosity to achieve a balance between polarization and total membrane resistance.  相似文献

Abstract

A novel cationic water-soluble monomer allyldimethylisooctylammonium bromide (ADIAB) containing a short-chain alkane was synthesized successfully. This monomer was copolymerized with acrylamide and sodium acrylate to produce hydrophobically modified polyacrylamide (HMPAM) using solution polymerization without surfactants. The structures of monomer ADIAB and HMPAM were characterized with infrared spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Influence of preparation condition on viscosities of products was studied. The aqueous solution viscosity of the terpolymer was also investigated as functions of concentration, temperature and salinity. The results showed that when the temperature exceeds the 60?°C and NaCl concentration exceeds about 2000?mg/L, the temperature and salt tolerance characters of terpolymer were demonstrated. The enhanced oil recovery tests were initially carried out using homogeneous sandpack models.  相似文献

This study was planned to explore the locally available natural sources of gum hydrocolloids as a natural modifier of different starch properties. Corn (CS), sweet potato (SPS), and Turkish bean (TBS) starches were mixed with locally extracted native or acetylated cactus (CG) and acacia (AG) gums at 2 and 5% replacement levels. The binary mixtures (starch–gums) were prepared in water, freeze dried, ground to powder, and stored airtight. A rapid viscoanalyzer (RVA), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), texture analyzer, and dynamic rheometer were used to explore their pasting, thermal, textural, and rheological properties. The presence of acetylated AG or CG increased the final viscosity (FV) in all three starches when compared to starch pastes containing native gums. Plain SPS dispersion had a higher pasting temperature (PT) than CS and TBS. The addition of AG or CG increased the PT of CS, SPS, and TBS. The thermograms revealed the overall enthalpy change of the starch and gum blends: TBS > SPS > CS. The peak temperature (Tp) of starches increased with increasing gum concentration from 2 to 5% for both AG and CG native and modified gums. When compared to the control gels, the addition of 2% CG, either native or modified, reduced the syneresis of starch gels. However, further addition (5% CG) increased the gels’ syneresis. Furthermore, the syneresis for the first cycle on the fourth day was higher than the second cycle on the eighth day for all starches. The addition of native and acetylated CG reduced the hardness of starch gels at all concentrations tested. All of the starch dispersions had higher G′ than G″ values, indicating that they were more elastic and less viscous with or without the gums. The apparent viscosity of all starch gels decreased as shear was increased, with profiles indicating time-dependent thixotropic behavior. All of the starch gels, with or without gums, showed a non-Newtonian shear thinning trend in the shear stress vs. shear rate graphs. The addition of acetylated CG gum to CS resulted in a higher activation energy (Ea) than the native counterparts and the control. More specifically, starch gels with a higher gum concentration (5%) provided greater Ea than their native counterparts.  相似文献

Development of modified plastics has been studied through the LDPE-acylated starch blend films to examine the effect of different acyl groups and degrees of substitution(DS) on properties of films.Corn starch was modified with acetyl and butyryl groups and films were prepared by blending acylated starch with low density polyethylene(LDPE).Systematic studies were done to observe the effect of acyl groups,DS and starch concentration on the properties and biodegradability of the blend films.It was observed that blend films containing 5% acetylated and butyrylated starches of high DS(2.5,1.7) maintained 75% and 83% of tensile strength of LDPE films.Thermal analysis results indicated that acetylated and butyrylated starch blend films decomposed at 370 °C and 389 °C which were higher than the decomposition temperature of native starch film(349 °C).Scanning electron micrographs of blend films containing high DS acylated starch showed well dispersed starch particles due to improvement in dispersion between starch and LDPE.Water absorption capacity of high DS acetylated and butyrylated starch blend films(4.18% and 3.76%,respectively) was lower than that of native starch films(5%).This study has an advantage because of blown films prepared can be integrated with the present manufacturing systems without any other requirement.  相似文献

Heat-moisture treatment (HMT) changed the morphology and the degree of molecular ordering in lotus rhizome (Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn.) starch granules slightly, leading to some detectable cavities or holes near hilum, weaker birefringence and granule agglomeration, accompanied with modified XRD pattern from C- to A-type starch and lower relative crystallinity, particularly for high moisture HMT modification. In contrast, annealing (ANN) showed less impact on granule morphology, XRD pattern and relative crystallinity. All hydrothermal treatment decreased the resistant starch (from about 27.7–35.4% to 2.7–20%), increased the damage starch (from about 0.5–1.6% to 2.4–23.6%) and modified the functional and pasting properties of lotus rhizome starch pronouncedly. An increase in gelatinization temperature but a decrease in transition enthalpy occurred after hydrothermal modification, particularly for hydrothermal modification involved with HMT. HMT-modified starch also showed higher pasting temperature, less pronounced peak viscosity, leading to less significant thixotropic behavior and retrogradation during pasting-gelation process. However, single ANN treatment imparts a higher tendency of retrogradation as compared to native starch. For dual hydrothermally modified samples, the functional properties generally resembled to the behavior of single HMT-modified samples, indicating the pre- or post-ANN modification had less impact on the properties HMT modified lotus rhizome starch.  相似文献

An approach to stable covalent immobilization of chemically modified penicillin G acylase from Escherichia coli on Sepabeads® carriers with high retention of hydrolytic activity and thermal stability is presented. The two amino-activated polymethacrylate particulate polymers with different spacer lengths used in the study were Sepabeads® EC EA and Sepabeads® EC HA. The enzyme was first modified by cross-linking with polyaldehyde derivatives of starch in order to provide it with new useful functions. Such modified enzyme was then covalently immobilized on amino supports. The method seems to provide a possibility to couple the enzyme without risking a reaction at the active site which might cause the loss of activity. Performances of these immobilized biocatalysts were compared with those obtained by the conventional method with respect to activity and thermal stability. The thermal stability study shows that starch-PGA immobilized on Sepabeads EC-EA was almost 4.5-fold more stable than the conventionally immobilized one and 7-fold more stable than free non-modified PGA. Similarly, starch-PGA immobilized on Sepabeads EC-HA was around 1.5- fold more stable than the conventionally immobilized one and almost 9.5-fold more stable than free non-modified enzyme.  相似文献

Summary: Physicochemical properties of chitosan/starch solution have been studied. Chitosan/starch solutions of different concentrations (90/10, 80/20, 70/30, 60/40, 50/50, 40/60, 30/70, 20/80, 10/90) are prepared in dilute acetic acid solution (1%, 2%, 3%, 4%). It is observed that the solution of chitosan/starch is miscible over entire range of concentration. The solution properties such as viscosity, density and refractive index are measured. The influence of concentration of solution and speed of rotation on shear stress and shear rate are also determined for polymer solution.  相似文献

In the present study, simultaneous adsorption of quinoline and pyridine onto adsorbents such as granular activated carbon (GAC) and bagasse fly ash (BFA) from pyridine–quinoline binary aqueous solution was studied at various temperatures (288–318 K). Gathered equilibrium adsorption data were further analysed using various multicomponent competitive isotherm models such as non-modified and modified competitive Langmuir isotherms, extended-Langmuir isotherm, extended-Freundlich model, Sheindorf–Rebuhn–Sheintuch (SRS) model, and non-modified and modified competitive Redlich–Peterson isotherm model. It was observed that increase in pyridine concentration decreased the total adsorption yield and the individual adsorption yield for both the quinoline and pyridine for both the adsorbents GAC and BFA at all the temperatures studied. Identical trend was observed during the equilibrium uptake of pyridine on to GAC and BFA with an increase in quinoline concentration. The extended-Freundlich model satisfactorily represented the binary adsorption equilibrium data of quinoline and pyridine onto GAC and BFA.  相似文献

大米淀粉颗粒粒径较小且均匀,在水中有较好的分散性,具有良好的成膜性并且可以在自然中降解,在食品包装、医用敷料及化妆品行业中有着广泛的应用。以大米淀粉为原料,NaOH为糊化剂,甘油为增塑剂,柠檬酸为交联剂和pH调节剂,采用流延法制备了淀粉膜。通过对淀粉颗粒的形貌观察及糊化温度、淀粉溶液的表观粘度及pH值测定、淀粉膜的力学性能、透光率及承载甘草酸二钾释放性能等的测定,研究了大米淀粉的糊化条件,柠檬酸、淀粉和甘油质量分数对淀粉膜性质的影响以及承载物质的释放情况。结果表明,大米淀粉呈光滑的多边形颗粒,直径为5~8 μm,在偏光显微镜下呈现马耳他十字结构,糊化温度范围为82.5~100.8 ℃。柠檬酸在淀粉成膜过程中会与淀粉分子相互作用,同时能够调节溶液的pH值以适应人体皮肤。淀粉质量分数越高,淀粉膜断裂伸长率越低,拉伸强度越高;甘油质量分数越高,淀粉膜断裂伸长率越高,拉伸强度越低。在甘油质量分数为3.0%时淀粉膜透光率最佳,结晶度最低。制备的淀粉膜能够承载且能高效释放抗炎物质甘草酸二钾,在护肤领域具有广泛的应用前景。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The non-Newtonian behavior and dynamic viscoelasticity of rice starch (Nihonbare; amylose content, 15.8%) solutions were measured with a rheogoniometer. A gelatinization of Nihonbare starch occurred above 3.0% after heating at 100 °C for 30 min. The Nihonbare starch showed shear-thinning behavior at a concentration of 2.0%, but plastic behavior above 3.0% at 25 °C. The viscosity of Nihonbare starch at a concentration of 2.0% solution decreased gradually with increase in temperature from 10 to 55 °C, then it stayed at a constant value with further increase in the temperature. However, for 4.0% solution, rapid decrease in the viscosity was observed after the temperature reached 25 °C up to 50 °C, then it stayed at a constant value. The dynamic modulus of Nihonbare starch stayed at a constant value during increase in the temperature at 4%. The tan δ of the starch showed low values, 0.28, at low temperature range and stayed at a constant up to 30 °C, then it increased a little with increasing temperature. A little decrease of dynamic modulus of Nihonbare starch was observed at low temperature range upon addition of urea (4.0 M). The dynamic modulus, however, decreased rapidly when the temperature reached 50 °C, which was estimated to be a transition temperature. The dynamic modulus also decreased rapidly in 0.10 M NaOH solution above 50 °C. A possible mode of intermolecular hydrogen bonding between amylose and amylopectin molecules of Nihonbare starch is proposed. The short chains (A and B1) of the amylopectin molecules may take part in the intermolecular association in aqueous solution.  相似文献

Rheological behavior of dispersion system containing nano/microsized cross-linked polymer particle was studied considering particle hydration and swelling. Viscosity of the dispersion system depends on swelling kinetics of polymer particles. Under shear flow, dispersion of swollen polymer particles is shear thinning. According to experimental results, kinetics of particle swelling and hydration was described well by second-order kinetic equation. Relational expression between equilibrium particle size and influencing factors of swelling such as salt concentration and temperature was presented. Assume that swollen polymer particles are uniform and have a simple core-shell structure, interacting through a repulsive steric potential. The rheological modeling of such dispersion system at low shear rate was presented using the concept of effective volume fraction, which depends on swelling kinetics and interparticle potential. Cross model was introduced to describe shear-thinning behavior. The viscosity equation allows correlation of experimental data of relative viscosity versus shear rate or hydration time; accounting for effect of temperature and salt concentration on viscosity. Predictions of the model have a good agreement with experimental results.  相似文献

With the aim of locating the origin of discrepancy between experimental and computer simulation results on bulk viscosity of liquid argon, a molecular dynamic simulation of argon interacting via ab initio pair potential and triple-dipole three-body potential has been undertaken. Bulk viscosity, obtained using Green-Kubo formula, is different from the values obtained from modeling argon using Lennard-Jones potential, the former being closer to the experimental data. The conclusion is made that many-body inter-atomic interaction plays a significant role in formation of bulk viscosity.  相似文献
