This paper studies the solution of the spectral factorization problem for multivariable distributed parameter systems with an impulse response having an infinite number of delayed impulses. A coercivity criterion for the existence of an invertible spectral factor is given for the cases that the delays are a) arbitrary (not necessarily commensurate) and b) equally spaced (commensurate); for the latter case the criterion is applied to a system consisting of two parallel transmission lines without distortion. In all cases, it is essentially shown that, under the given criterion, the spectral density matrix has a spectral factor whenever this is true for its singular atomic part, i.e. its series of delayed impulses (with almost periodic symbol). Finally, a small-gain type sufficient condition is studied for the existence of spectral factors with arbitrary delays. The latter condition is meaningful from the system theoretic point of view, since it guarantees feedback stability robustness with respect to small delays in the feedback loop. Moreover its proof contains constructive elements.  相似文献

This paper studies the concept of controllability for infinite-dimensional linear control systems in Banach spaces. First, we prove that the set of admissible control operators for the semigroup generator is unchanged if we perturb the generator by the Desch–Schappacher perturbations. We consider the controllability problem for finite-dimensional linear autonomous control systems with nonnegative controls. Despite the Kalman condition, the unilateral nonnegativity control constraint may cause a positive minimal controllability time. When this happens, we prove that, if the matrix of the system has a real eigenvalue, then there is a minimal time control in the space of Radon measures, which consists of a finite sum of Dirac impulses. When all eigenvalues are real, this control is unique and the number of impulses is less than half the dimension of the space. We also focus on the control system corresponding to a finite-difference spatial discretization of the one-dimensional heat equation with Dirichlet boundary controls, and we provide numerical simulations.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to studying controllability properties for 3D Navier–Stokes equations in a bounded domain. We establish a sufficient condition under which the problem in question is exactly controllable in any finite-dimensional projection. Our sufficient condition is verified for any torus in R3R3. The proofs are based on a development of a general approach introduced by Agrachev and Sarychev in the 2D case. As a simple consequence of the result on controllability, we show that the Cauchy problem for the 3D Navier–Stokes system has a unique strong solution for any initial function and a large class of external forces.  相似文献

In this paper, we deal with a two-dimensional Navier-Stokes system in a rectangle with Navier slip boundary conditions on the horizontal sides. We establish the global null controllability of the system by controlling the normal component and the vorticity of the velocity on the vertical sides. The linearized control system around zero is controllable but one does not know how to deduce global controllability results for the nonlinear system. Our proof uses the return method together with a local exact controllability result by Fursikov and Imanuvilov.  相似文献

We are concerned with the boundary controllability to the trajectories of the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation. By using a Carleman estimate, we obtain the null controllability of the linearized equation around a given solution. In this paper, by utilizing the Lyapunov functionals, the analysis method and the impulsive control, we analyze the exponential stability of Hopfield neural networks with time‐varying delays. A new criterion on the exponential stabilization by impulses and the exponential stabilization by periodic impulses is gained. We can see that impulses do contribution to the system's exponential stability. Two examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of our result. The systems governed by delay differential equations come up in different fields of science and engineering but often demand the use of non-constant or state-dependent delays. The corresponding model equation is a delay differential equation with state-dependent delay as opposed to the standard models with constant delay. The concept of controllability plays an important role in physics and mathematics. In this paper, first we study the approximate controllability for a class of nonlinear fractional differential equations with state-dependent delays. Then, the result is extended to study the approximate controllability fractional systems with state-dependent delays and resolvent operators. A set of sufficient conditions are established to obtain the required result by employing semigroup theory, fixed point technique and fractional calculus. In particular, the approximate controllability of nonlinear fractional control systems is established under the assumption that the corresponding linear control system is approximately controllable. Also, an example is presented to illustrate the applicability of the obtained theory.  相似文献

We determine the optimal investment strategy of an individual who targets a given rate of consumption and who seeks to minimize the probability of going bankrupt before she dies, also known as lifetime ruin. We impose two types of borrowing constraints: First, we do not allow the individual to borrow money to invest in the risky asset nor to sell the risky asset short. However, the latter is not a real restriction because in the unconstrained case, the individual does not sell the risky asset short. Second, we allow the individual to borrow money but only at a rate that is higher than the rate earned on the riskless asset.We consider two forms of the consumption function: (1) The individual consumes at a constant (real) dollar rate, and (2) the individual consumes a constant proportion of her wealth. The first is arguably more realistic, but the second is closely connected with Merton’s model of optimal consumption and investment under power utility. We demonstrate that connection in this paper, as well as include a numerical example to illustrate our results.  相似文献

A singularly-perturbed linear time-dependent controlled system with small pointwise and distributed delays in the state variable is considered. Two simpler parameter-free systems, the slow and fast ones, can be associated with the original system. It was established in the literature that the Euclidean space controllability of the original system, valid for all sufficiently small values of the parameter of singular perturbations, follows from the controllability properties of the slow and fast systems. It also was established that such a connection between the controllability properties of the original system and the slow and fast systems is correct, in general, only in one direction. Namely, the controllability of the slow and fast systems provides the controllability of the original system, while the controllability of the original system not always yields the controllability of both the slow and fast systems. In this paper, we consider the original system such that the respective fast system is uncontrollable, meaning that the previously established controllability conditions are not applicable to this original system. In this case, novel parameter-free sufficient conditions for the Euclidean space controllability of the original system, robust with respect to the small parameter of singular perturbations, are derived. We study the approximate controllability for the abstract evolution equations with nonlocal conditions in Hilbert spaces. Assuming the approximate controllability of the corresponding linearized equation we obtain sufficient conditions for the approximate controllability of the semilinear evolution equation. The results we obtained are a generalization and continuation of the recent results on this issue. At the end, an example is given to show the application of our result.  相似文献

This article studies the local controllability to trajectories of a Burgers equation with nonlocal viscosity. By linearization we are led to an equation with a non local term whose controllability properties are analyzed by using Fourier decomposition and biorthogonal techniques. Once the existence of controls is proved and the dependence of their norms with respect to the time is established for the linearized model, a fixed point method allows us to deduce the result for the nonlinear initial problem.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the controllability of the Vlasov-Poisson system in a periodic domain, by means of an interior control located in an spatial subdomain.The first result proves the local exact zero controllability in the two-dimensional torus between two small acceptable distribution functions, with an arbitrary control zone.A second result establishes the global exact controllability in arbitrary dimension, provided the control zone satisfies the condition that it contains a hyperplane of the torus.  相似文献

We consider linear nonstationary hybrid differential-difference dynamical observable systems under the action of impulses, which generates jumps in the corresponding solutions of the systems. For such systems, we construct dual controllability problems and prove a general duality relation, which permits one to state a general duality principle in controllability and observability problems for hybrid differential-difference systems. In this paper we prove the existence of insensitizing controls, having one vanishing component, for the local L2L2-norm of the solutions of the Navier–Stokes system. This problem can be recast as a null controllability problem for a nonlinear cascade system. We first prove a controllability result, with controls having one vanishing component, for a linear problem. Then, by means of an inverse mapping theorem, we deduce the controllability for the cascade system.  相似文献

In this paper, we focus on the approximate controllability of control systems described by a large class of fractional evolution hemivariational inequalities. Firstly, we introduce the concept of mild solutions and present the existence of mild solutions for this kind of problems. Next, we show the approximate controllability of the corresponding linear control system. Finally, the approximate controllability of the fractional evolution hemivariational inequalities is formulated and proved under some appropriate conditions. We introduce a general formalism for linear evolution equations with skew adjoint operators. We make explicit the controllability operator as an expansion with respect to eigenfunctions. Using the fact that the eigenvalues are purely imaginary, we give sufficient controllability conditions. This approach is convenient for studying the asymptotic behaviour of the optimal control.  相似文献

We study the problem of null controllability for viscous Hamilton–Jacobi equations in bounded domains of the Euclidean space in any space dimension and with controls localized in an arbitrary open nonempty subset of the domain where the equation holds. We prove the null controllability of the system in the sense that, every bounded (and in some cases uniformly continuous) initial datum can be driven to the null state in a sufficiently large time. The proof combines decay properties of the solutions of the uncontrolled system and local null controllability results for small data obtained by means of Carleman inequalities. We also show that there exists a waiting time so that the time of control needs to be large enough, as a function of the norm of the initial data, for the controllability property to hold. We give sharp asymptotic lower and upper bounds on this waiting time both as the size of the data tends to zero and infinity. These results also establish a limit on the growth of nonlinearities that can be controlled uniformly on a time independent of the initial data.  相似文献

We study controllability of switched differential algebraic equations (switched DAEs) with fixed switching signal. Based on a behavioral definition of controllability we are able to establish a controllability characterization that takes into account possible jumps and impulses induced by the switches.
