Some relations on completely regular semigroups

A semigroup S is called a Clifford semigroup if it is completely regular and inverse. In this paper, some relations related to the least Clifford semigroup congruences on completely regular semigroups are characterized. We give the relation between Y and ξ on completely regular semigroups and get that Y ^* is contained in the least Clifford congruence on completely regular semigroups generally. Further, we consider the relation Y ^*, Y, ν and ε on completely simple semigroups and completely regular semigroups. On sandwich sets and congruences on regular semigroups

Let S be a regular semigroup and E(S) be the set of its idempotents. We call the sets S(e, f)f and eS(e, f) one-sided sandwich sets and characterize them abstractly where e, f ∈ E(S). For a, a′ ∈ S such that a = aa′a, a′ = a′aa′, we call S(a) = S(a′a, aa′) the sandwich set of a. We characterize regular semigroups S in which all S(e; f) (or all S(a)) are right zero semigroups (respectively are trivial) in several ways including weak versions of compatibility of the natural order. For every a ∈ S, we also define E(a) as the set of all idempotets e such that, for any congruence ϱ on S, aϱa ² implies that aϱe. We study the restrictions on S in order that S(a) or be trivial. For , we define on S by a b if . We establish for which S are or congruences.     

正多边形对称群的子群

利用Lagrange定理和正多边形对称群的性质,首先对正多边形对称群的子群的性质进行了研究,其次讨论了正多边形对称群的子群的结构,由此完全确定了正多边形对称群的子群,最后应用所得结论求出了正六边形对称群的所有子群.     

具有Clifford断面的正则纯正半群

给出了具有Clifford断面的右正规纯正半群的等价刻画,得到了具有Clifford断面的正则纯正半群的次直积分解,证明了具有Clifford断面的正则纯正半群一定是正则纯正群．     

New concepts for completely regular semigroups

Let 𝒞? denotes the variety of completely regular semigroups considered with the unary operation of inversion. The global study of the lattice of subvarieties of 𝒞? depends heavily on various decompositions. Some of the most fruitful among these are induced by the kernel and the trace relations. In their turn, these relations are induced by the kernel and the trace relations on the lattice of congruences on regular semigroups. These latter admit the concepts of kernel and trace of a congruence. The kernel and the trace relations for congruences were transferred to kernel and trace relations on varieties but the kernel and trace got no analogue for varieties.

We supply here the kernel and the trace of a variety which induce the relations of their namesake. For the local and core relations, we also define the local and core of a variety. All the new concepts are certain subclasses of 𝒞?. In this way, we achieve considerable similarity of the new concepts with those for congruences. We also correct errors in two published papers.     

Another lattice of varieties of completely regular semigroups

Completely regular semigroups S are taken here with the unary operation of inversion within the maximal subgroups of S. As such they form a variety 𝒞? whose lattice of subvarieties is denoted by ?(𝒞?). The relation on ?(𝒞?) which identifies two varieties if they contain the same bands is denoted by B^∧. The upper ends of B^∧-classes which are neither equal to 𝒞? nor contained in the variety 𝒞𝒮 of completely simple semigroups are generated by two countably infinite ascending chains called canonical varieties. In a previous publication, we constructed the sublattice Σ of ?(𝒞?) generated by 𝒞𝒮 and the first four canonical varieties. Here we extend Σ to the sublattice Ψ of ?(𝒞?) generated by 𝒞𝒮 and the first six canonical varieties. For each of the varieties in Ψ?Σ, we construct the ladder and a basis of its identities.

给出了拟正则半群的圈积嵌入．研究了幂等元集 Ｅ Ｓ 生成的子半群〈 Ｅ Ｓ〉上的矩阵同余可扩张为 Ｓ上的矩阵同余的条件． 特别地,如果〈 Ｅ Ｓ〉上的最小矩阵同余可扩张为 Ｓ上的矩阵同余,那么〈 Ｅ Ｓ〉上的每个矩阵同余可扩张为 Ｓ上的矩阵同余     

Split quasi-adequate semigroups

The so-called split IC quasi-adequate semigroups are in the class of idempotent-connected quasi-adequate semigroups. It is proved that an IC quasi-adequate semigroup is split if and only if it has an adequate transversal. The structure of such semigroup whose band of idempotents is regular will be particularly investigated. Our obtained results enrich those results given by McAlister and Blyth on split orthodox semigroups.     

On associate subgroups of regular semigroups

We describe the structure of a regular semigroup with an associate subgroup the identiy element of which is a mcdial idempotent. As a particular application of this, we obtain the structure of perfect Dubreil-Jacotin semigroups in which the set of residuals of the bimaximum element form a subgroup.     

Associate inverse subsemigroups of regular semigroups

By an associate inverse subsemigroup of a regular semigroup S we mean a subsemigroup T of S containing a least associate of each x∈S, in relation to the natural partial order ≤ _S . We describe the structure of a regular semigroup with an associate inverse subsemigroup, satisfying two natural conditions. As a particular application, we obtain the structure of regular semigroups with an associate subgroup with medial identity element. Research supported by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) through the research program POCTI.     

Congruence triples on regular semigroups and their generalizations

In this paper, we introduce the concept of VT-congruence triples on a regular semigroup S and show how such triples can be constructed by using the equivalences on S/ℒ, S/R and the special congruences on S. Also, such congruence triples are characterized so that an associated congruence can be uniquely determined by a given congruence triple. Moreover, we also consider the VH-congruence pairs on an orthocryptogroup.     

Finite subgroups of ∨-semilatticed inverse semigroups

In this paper we describe the ∨-semilatticed inverse semigroups generated by a finite group G. We do this by first constructing the free ∨-semilatticed inverse semigroup ?(G) on the group G. Each ∨-semilatticed inverse semigroup generated by G is a quotient of ?(G) by a ∨-congruence. We then describe these congruences and their corresponding quotients explicitly in terms of families of subgroups of G.     

Congruences on eventually regular semigroups

Let S be an eventually regular semigroup. The extensively P-partial congruence pairs and P-partial congruence pairs for S are defined. Furthermore, the relationships between the lattice of congruences on S, the lattice of P-partial kernel normal systems for S, the lattice of extensively P-partial kernel normal systems for S and the poset of P-partial congruence pairs for S are explored.     

Posets whose monoids of order-preserving maps are regular

The purpose of this paper is to determine all posetsP such that the monoid of all order-preserving maps ofP intoP is regular in the semigroup-theoretic sense. AMS subject classifications (1980). 06A10, 20M20.     

P-反演半群上的正则P-同余

令S(P)为P-反演半群，本文借助于P-核正规系来刻画S(P)上的强P-同余，证明了S(P)上的任一正则P-同余可以决定S(P)的一个P-核正规系；反之，S(P)的任一P-核正规系可以决定S(P)上的一个正则P-同余．     

The continuity of the inversion and the structure of maximal subgroups in countably compact topological semigroups

We search for conditions on a countably compact (pseudocompact) topological semigroup under which: (i) each maximal subgroup H(e) in S is a (closed) topological subgroup in S; (ii) the Clifford part H(S) (i.e. the union of all maximal subgroups) of the semigroup S is a closed subset in S; (iii) the inversion inv: H(S) → H(S) is continuous; and (iv) the projection π: H(S) → E(S), π: x ↦ xx ⁻¹, onto the subset of idempotents E(S) of S, is continuous.      

具有左简纯正断面的正则半群

本文引入并研究了左简纯正断面, 得到了与之相关的若干刻画; 推广并丰富了Blyth 和AlmeidaSantos 于1996 年得到的关于左简逆断面及Kong 于2007 年得到的关于纯正断面的相关结果; 同时,给出了具有左简纯正断面的正则半群的结构定理.     

Pseudo-C-rpp semigroups

The aim of this paper is to study a class of right pp semigroups, so-called pseudo-C- rpp semigroups. After obtaining some characterizations of pseudo-C-rpp semigroups, we establish a construction of such semigroups in terms of left normal bands and right C-rpp semigroups. In particular, a special case is considered.
