Four new organotin(IV) complexes with 2-hydroxynaphthaldehyde-N(4)-ethylthiosemicarbazone [(H2DNET), (1)] of the type [MeSnCl(DNET] (2), [BuSnCl(DNET)] (3), [PhSnCl(DNET)] (4), and [Ph2Sn(DNET] (5) have been synthesized by the direct reaction of H2DNET (1) with organotin(IV) chloride(s) in the presence of potassium hydroxide in absolute methanol. All the compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductivity, UV-Vis, IR, 1H, 13C, and 119Sn NMR spectral studies. The molecular structure of ligand (1) has been confirmed by X-ray single crystal diffraction. Spectroscopic data clearly suggested that Sn(IV) center is coordinated with the ONS tridentate ligand (H2DNET) and exhibits a five-coordinate geometry in solution. Antibacterial studies were carried out in vitro against four bacterial strains. All organotin(IV) compounds (2–5) showed good activity against various bacteria but lower activity than the reference drug (Ciprofloxacin). The results demonstrate that organic groups attached to tin(IV) moiety have significant effect on their biological activities. Among them, diphenyltin(IV) derivative 5 exhibits significantly good activity than the other organotin(IV) derivatives (2–4).  相似文献

Reaction of organotin(IV) chloride(s) with 2-benzoylpyridine-N(4)-cyclohexylthiosemicarbazone, [HL] (1) yielded [MeSnCl2(L)] (2), [BuSnCl2(L)] (3), [Me2SnCl(L)] (4), and [Ph2SnCl(L)] (5). The ligand (1) and its organotin(IV) complexes have been characterized by CHN analyses, molar conductivity, UV-Vis, FT-IR, 1H, 13C, and 119Sn NMR spectral studies. The molecular structure of 5 was also determined by X-ray diffraction. There are two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit and the central tin(IV) atom is six-coordinate in distorted octahedral geometry. The ligand (1) and complexes were screened for their in vitro antibacterial activities. The cytotoxic activities of 15 were tested against A2780 and A2780/Cp8 cancer cell lines. The compounds have better antibacterial activities than the free ligand; 25 are more potent cytotoxic agents than 1, while the diphenyltin(IV) 5 is more active with IC50 values of 0.05 and 0.54?µmol?L?1 against A2780 and A2780/Cp8 cell lines, respectively.  相似文献

A facile synthesis and studies on the stereochemistry and biochemical aspects of some organosilicon(IV), organotin(IV), and manganese(II) complexes derived from imine having NNO donor system is reported. The imine was prepared by the condensation of salicylanilide with sulphathiazole. This imine reacts with organosilicon(IV)chloride, organotin(IV)chloride, and hydrated manganese(II) chloride to yield compounds having M─O and M←N bonds. The structures of the compounds have been elucidated by physicochemical and spectral (IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 29Si NMR, 119Sn NMR, and ESR) studies, which clearly point to a trigonal bipyramidal geometry around silicon(IV) and tin(IV), and tetrahedral geometry around manganese(II), as the active lone pair of the nitrogen is also included in the coordination sphere. In the search for better fungicides and bactericides, studies were conducted to assess the growth-inhibiting potential of the synthesized complexes against various pathogenic fungal and bacterial strains. These complexes are highly active against nematode (Meloidogyneincognita) and insect (Trogodermagranarium). The activity will be increased with increasing concentration. These studies demonstrate that the concentrations reached levels that are sufficient to inhibit and kill the pathogens. All compounds have also been found to act as sterilizing agents by reducing the production of sperm in male mice.  相似文献

Abstract

The N(4)-methylthiosemicarbazone derivatives H2DDMT (1) and H2DMMT (2) have been prepared from the reaction of 4-methylthiosemicarbazide with 2,3-dihydroxybenzaldehyde and 2-hydroxy-5-methylbenzaldehyde, respectively. Six new organotin(IV) complexes, [MeSnCl(DDMT)] (3), [BuSnCl(DDMT)] (4), [PhSnCl(DDMT)] (5), [MeSnCl(DMMT)] (6), [BuSnCl(DMMT)] (7), and [PhSnCl(DMMT)] (8) have been synthesized by direct reaction of corresponding organotin(IV) chloride(s) with these ligands. The ligands and their compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, UV–Vis, FT-IR, and NMR (1H, 13C, and 119Sn) spectroscopy. The molecular structures of 1 and 2 were determined by X-ray crystallography. Spectroscopic data suggested that the ligands were coordinated to tin(IV) as dinegative tridentate via phenoxide-O, azomethine-N, and thiolate-S atoms. The crystal structures revealed that the ligands exist in thione form in the solid state. In vitro cytotoxicity assays were carried out for all the compounds against MCF-7 cancer cell line. The results have shown that different organotin(IV) groups showed characteristic differences in their biological activity.  相似文献

The complexes of two organic carboxylates (containing {O,O}-donor atoms) with Me2Sn(IV)Cl2, n-Bu2Sn(IV)Cl2, Bz2Sn(IV)Cl2, Oct2Sn(IV)O, Me3Sn(IV)Cl, n-Bu3Sn(IV)Cl, Ph3Sn(IV)Cl, Ph3Sn(IV)Cl, and Bz3Sn(IV)Cl having ligand-to-metal ratios of 1: 2 and 1: 1 were prepared by two different methods. The FT-IR spectra clearly demonstrated that organotin(IV) moieties react with {O,O}-atoms of the ligands. It was found that in all cases the COO group was acting as bidentate in the solid state. The 119Sn NMR data revealed that the organotin(IV) moiety has a tetrahedral geometry in non-coordinating solvents. The biological activity of these compounds was compared with that of their precursors, and all the synthesized compounds show significant antibacterial activity. The antifungal activity of the complexes against six plant pathogens has been estimated. The complexes display marked toxicity against these fungi and are more fungitoxic than free acids. The compounds have also shown significant cytotoxicity against Brine Shrimp (Artemia salina). The article was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

Three transition metal and six organotin(IV) complexes have been synthesized by treating potassium o-methyl carbonodithioate with ZnCl2/CdCl2/HgCl2 and R2SnCl2/R3SnCl under stirring. The complexes were characterized by IR, 1H, and 13C NMR spectroscopies. IR results show that the ligand is bidentate in 1–3 while monodentate in 4–9, which is also confirmed by semi-empirical study. NMR data reveal four-coordinate geometry in solution. HOMO–LUMO study shows that 7 and 9 are thermodynamically unstable. The enzyme inhibition study shows that 1 is a potent inhibitor of ALP, EC 3.1.3.1, resulting in very slow rate of formation and breakdown of enzyme–substrate complex. UV/visible spectroscopy was used to assess the mode of interaction and binding of the complexes with DNA which shows that 9 exhibits higher binding constant when compared to 6. In protein kinase inhibition assay, 1 was active, while antifungal activity shows that organotin(IV) complexes are more active than transition metal complexes.  相似文献

The reaction of pyruvic acid phenylhydrazone [HPAPD, (1)] with organotin(IV) chloride(s) leads to the formation of five new organotin(IV) complexes: [MeSnCl2(PAPD)] (2), [BuSnCl2(PAPD)] (3), [PhSnCl2(PAPD)] (4), [Me2SnCl(PAPD)] (5), and [Ph2SnCl(PAPD)] (6). The ligand [HPAPD, (1)] and its organotin(IV) complexes (26) have been characterized by CHN analyses, molar conductivity, UV-Vis, FT-IR, 1H, 13C, and 119Sn NMR spectral studies. Spectroscopic data suggested that HPAPD is coordinated to tin(IV) through the carboxylato-O and azomethine-N as a mononegative bidentate chelating agent; the coordination number of tin is five. Compound 1 and its organotin(IV) complexes (26) were assayed for in vitro antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Enterobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, and Salmonella typhi. The screening results show that 26 have better antibacterial activity than 1 and that 6 exhibits significantly better activity than 25.  相似文献

Four new tin(IV)/organotin(IV) complexes, [SnCl3(BPCT)] (2), [MeSnCl2(BPCT)] (3), [Me2SnCl(BPCT)] (4), and [Ph2SnCl(BPCT)] (5), have been synthesized by the direct reaction of 2-benzoylpyridine-N(4)-cyclohexylthiosemicarbazone [HBPCT, (1)] and stannic chloride/organotin(IV) chloride(s) in absolute methanol under purified nitrogen. HBPCT and its tin(IV)/organotin(IV) complexes (25) were characterized by CHN analyses, molar conductivity, UV-Vis, FT-IR, and 1H NMR spectral studies. In all the complexes, tin(IV) was coordinated via pyridine-N, azomethine-N, and thiolato-S from 1. The molecular structure of 2 has been determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis. Complex 2 is a monomer and the central tin(IV) is six-coordinate in a distorted octahedral geometry. The crystal system of 2 is monoclinic with space group P121/n1 and the unit cell dimensions are a?=?8.3564(3)?Å, b?=?23.1321(8)?Å, c?=?11.9984(4)?Å.  相似文献

New organotin(IV) carboxylates, R2SnL2 (R=n-Bu: 1), R2Sn(Cl)L (R=n-Bu: 2), and R3SnL (R=Me: 3; n-Bu: 4; Ph: 5) have been synthesized by stirring 5-chloro-2-hydroxybenzoic acid HL with KOH and R2SnCl2 (R=n-Bu)/R3SnCl (R=Me, n-Bu, Ph) in methanol at room temperature. The complexes along with ligand have been characterized by FTIR, (1H, 13C) NMR, EI-MS, and single-crystal XRD crystallography. FTIR data indicated bidentate coordination of carboxylate. NMR data suggested six- or five-coordinate geometry of organotin(IV) carboxylates. Single-crystal XRD of 1 demonstrated skew-trapezoidal geometry around the tin center, with the basal plane occupied by four oxygens and the two butyl groups lying in distorted axial position. Complexes 1, 2, and 5 exhibited interaction with SS-DNA (salmon sperm) and suggests intercalating mode of binding. The complexes displayed significant antimicrobial activities against bacterial and fungal strains as compared to free ligand. The hemolytic activity of the complexes was lower compared to Triton-X 100 (positive control, 100% lysis) and higher than phosphate-buffered saline (negative control, 0% lysis). Complex 4 was the most potent inhibitor of bacterial/fungal growth.  相似文献

Two organotin(IV) compounds were synthesized from salicylaldehyde nicotinoyl hydrazone and the corresponding dialkyltin(IV) precursor. Their structures were determined by IR, elemental analysis, NMR, and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Compound 1 exhibits a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry around tin, which is coordinated to the Schiff-base ligand in an enolic tridentate fashion. For 2, structural analysis reveals that it is a centro-symmetric trimer, in which the central Sn adopts a six-coordinate octahedral geometry and the other two Sn ions adopt five-coordinate trigonal bipyramidal geometry. In vitro cytotoxicities of the compounds against three human cisplatin-resistant tumor cell lines (A549, HeLa, and MCF-7) were assessed by MTT assay. Further, the interaction of 1 and 2 with bovine serum albumin (BSA) has been explored by the titration method with fluorescence quenching spectra and synchronous ?uorescence spectra. Studies reveal that di-n-butyltin(IV) complex 1 with significant antiproliferative effects in the cells shows stronger BSA interaction.  相似文献

A series of organotin(IV) thiocarboxylates have been synthesized with the general formula R2SnL2 and R3SnL (R = Ph2(I), Me3(II), n‐Bu3(III), Ph3(IV), Cy3(V), Me2(VI), n‐Bu2(VII), and L = piperidine‐1‐thiocarboxylic acid) in anhydrous toluene under the reflux conditions. The complexes were characterized by microanalysis, IR, 1H and 13C NMR, mass spectrometry, and XRD. NMR data revealed that thiocarboxylic acid acts as bidentate, and complexes exhibit the four‐coordinated geometry in solution state. In solid state, diorganotin complexes exhibit the hexa‐coordinated geometry whereas the triorganotin(IV) compounds show the five‐coordinated geometry. These complexes were also tested for their antimicrobial activity along with the ligand against different animals, plant pathogens, and Artemia salina. All complexes with few exceptions show high activity as compared to the ligand. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Three new water-soluble organotin complexes R2Sn(5-BrSalGT)Cl [R = Ph, Me] and Ph2Sn(2-OHNaphGT)Cl have been synthesized by the reaction of R2SnCl2 (R = Ph or Me) with Schiff bases derived from condensation of Girard-T reagent with 5-bromosalicylaldehyde and 2-naphthaldehyde, (5-BrH2SalGT)Cl (1) and (2-OHH2NaphGT)Cl (2). The synthesized compounds have been investigated by elemental analysis, conductometric measurements, IR, 1H NMR, and 119Sn NMR spectroscopy. These data show that the deporotonated ligand is coordinated to Sn(IV) via ONO atoms and six-coordinate zwitterionic complexes are formed. The ligands and their complexes were investigated for their in vitro toxicity against Gram-positive (Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus) and Gram-negative (Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa) bacteria. The results show remarkable antibacterial activity against the studied bacteria. All complexes exhibit more inhibitory effects than the parent ligand. The anticancer activity of all compounds were also performed on HN5 cell line and (2-OHH2NaphGT)Cl with concentration of 1 mg mL?1 was found to show higher anticancer activity than other compounds.  相似文献

The reaction of 2‐acetylpyridine‐N(4)‐cyclohexylthiosemicarbazone [(HAPCT), ( 1 )] ligand with organotin(IV) chloride(s) afforded the five new organotin(IV) complexes: [MeSnCl2(APCT)] ( 2 ), [BuSnCl2(APCT)] ( 3 ), [PhSnCl2(APCT)] ( 4 ), [Me2SnCl(APCT)] ( 5 ), and [Ph2SnCl(APCT)] ( 6 ). The ligand ( 1 ) and its organotin(IV) complexes ( 2–6 ) have been synthesized and characterized by CHN analyses, molar conductivity, UV–vis, FT IR, 1H, 13C, and 119Sn NMR spectral studies. The single crystal X‐ray diffraction studies indicated that [PhSnCl2(APCT)] ( 4 ) is six coordinated and strongly adopts a distorted octahedral configuration with the coordination through pyridine‐N, azomethine‐N, and thiolato‐S atoms of the ligand. The compound crystallizes into a monoclinic lattice with the space group P21/n. The ligand ( 1 ) and its organotin(IV) complexes ( 2–6 ) were assayed for in vitro antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Enterobacter aerogenes, and Salmonella typhi. The screening results have shown that the organotin(IV) complexes ( 2–6 ) have better antibacterial activity than the free ligand. Furthermore, it has been shown that the diphenyltin(IV) derivative ( 6 ) exhibits significantly better activities than the other organotin(IV) derivatives ( 2–5 ). © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Abstract

The title compounds, representative of classes of diorganotin (IV) derivatives active against murine leukemia P-388. interact with rat hemoglobin (selected as a model protein) by: i) co-crystallization. with formation of microcrystalline pellets, and: ii) diffusion into hemoglobin crystals from the supernatant solution (as determined for the 2-mercaptoethanesulfonato derivative). The nature of the Me2SnIV species in hemoglobin has been investigated by 119Sn Mössbauer spectroscopy, and a C2SnS2 tetrahedral geometry has been assigned by the point-charge model rationalization of the nuclear quadrupole splitting parameter.

Binding into crystalline hemoglobin has been ascribed to Coulomb interactions and to hydrogen bonding between the sulfonate and the aminoacid tails of the organotin (IV) derivatives and functional groups of the globin.  相似文献

Since organotin complexes have been reported to show fewer side effects relative to other heavy metal anticancer compounds, in the present study we report for the first time four novel organotin(IV) derivatives with the general formula R2SnL2, where R = methyl (1), n‐butyl (2), phenyl (3), benzyl (4) and L = morpholine‐1‐carbodithioate (MCDT). The newly synthesized ligand was monodentate or bidentate, coordinating through a sulfur atom. The complexes were synthesized by directly mixing, refluxing and stirring the ligand, with diorganotin(IV) dichlorides in a suitable solvent. The complexes were found to be pure and their solid and solution phase structural configuration was investigated by FT‐IR, multinuclear NMR (1 H, 13 C, 119Sn) and mass spectrometry. Complex 2 was also studied for its thermal decomposition by thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis. The results obtained on the basis of these techniques are in full concurrence with the proposed 1:2 (Sn:L) stoichiometry. The cytotoxic activity of the MCDT and diorganotin(IV) complexes (1–4) was tested against tumor cell lines – human cervix carcinoma HeLa and human myelogenous leukemia K562 – and normal immunocompetent cells: peripheral blood mononuclear cells PBMC. Results of bioassay demonstrated that organotin derivatives were in general more active than the anticancer drug cisplatin. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The reaction of SnPh3Li with X(CH2)n O–THP (THP = tetrahydro‐2H ‐pyran‐2‐yl; n  = 3, 4, 6, 8, 11; X = Cl, Br) afforded organotin(IV) compounds with the general formula Ph3Sn(CH2)n O–THP ( 1 – 5 ). The tetraorganotin(IV) compounds were characterized using multinuclear NMR and infrared spectroscopies and high‐resolution mass spectrometry. Anticancer activity of the synthesized compounds was tested in vitro against the A2780 (ovarian), A549 (lung), HeLa (adenocarcinoma) and SW480 (colon) tumour cell lines with SRB assay. The in vitro investigations revealed that when a shorter chain was present a higher activity was achieved; however compounds 1 – 5 were found to be less active than cisplatin. In addition, the most active compound, 1 , enters A2780 cells and causes apoptosis by triggering both intrinsic and extrinsic caspase pathways.  相似文献

Abstract

The reactions of N′-2-hydroxyphenyl-6-methylpyridine-2-carbaldimine (LH) with tin(IV) chloride and organotin(IV) chlorides result in the formation of the corresponding tin(IV) and organotin(IV) complexes in which LH behaves as a uninegative tridentate ligand coordinating to the central tin atom via an N,N,O donor set. Crystal structure determinations of two of the compounds, n-butyldichloro[N′-2-hydroxyphenyl-6-methylpyridine-2-carbaldiminato(l-)N,N′,O]-tin(IV) (BuSnCl2.L) and diphenylchloro[N′-2-hydroxyphenyl-6-methylpyridine-2-carbaldiminato(l-)N,N′,O]tin(IV) (Ph2SnCl.L), have been performed and both structures feature distorted octahedral geometries about the tin centres. Systematic differences in the Sn-ligand separations are rationalised in terms of the reduced Lewis acidity of tin in Ph2SnCl.L.  相似文献

Alkyl derivatives of indole 3-acetic acid (IAA) have been prepared and are suitable for investigating steric substituent effects on hormonal activity without major interference from electronic effects. Triorganotin(IV) derivatives of indole 3-acetic acid and N-methylindole 3-acetic acid have been reported to act as insecticidal, fungicidal and bactericidal agents. Me3SnIAA is more active as a biocide than Cy3SnIAA. The activity of these two compounds may be due to the fact that four-coordinated tin monomers or five-coordinated tin polymers are often more active than chelated five-coordinated tin species because these readily undergo hydrolysis to give R3Sn(H2O+)2 species. The ligand affects the rate of formation of the ligand-free active organotin entity. Biocidal activity is expected from diorganotin(IV) pentacoordinated complexes of indole 3-acetic acid in the present case due to (i) the activity of pentacoordinated organotin species, (ii) the presence of an—NH moiety in the complexes, which is an active site for binding. The NH moiety may be deprotonated and nitrogen may coordinate with metal ions present in the physiological systems and thus destroy the activity of enzymes.  相似文献

Abstract

Six organotin(IV) complexes of type Me2SnL2, Bu2SnL2, and Ph3SnL [where L = indole-3-butyric acid (1, 2 and 3) or indole-3-propionic acid (4, 5 and 6)] have been synthesized by the reactions of the corresponding diorganotin(IV) oxide and triphenyltin(IV) hydroxide with respective indole-3-butyric acid (IBH) or indole-3-propionic acid (IPH) in the desired molar ratios of 1:2/1:1. All of the compounds have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and 119Sn NMR spectroscopy. Thermal studies of all synthesized complexes have been carried out using thermogravimetry (TG) technique under a nitrogen atmosphere. The thermal decompositions for compounds Me2SnL2 and Bu2SnL2 occurred in two steps, whereas in compounds Ph3SnL, it exhibited as three steps decomposition and resulted into the formation of pure SnO2. The complexes were also screened against three gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, and Micrococcus luteus) and three gram-negative (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacter aerogenes) bacteria using minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) method, and all of these complexes showed significant antibacterial activity.
