Properties of generalized solutions of model nonlinear elliptic systems of second order are studied in the semiball $B_1^ + = B_1 (0) \cap \{ x_n > 0\} \subset $ ? n , with the oblique derivative type boundary condition on $\Gamma _1 = B_1 (0) \cap \{ x_n = 0\} $ . For solutionsuH 1(B 1 + ) of systems of the form $\frac{d}{{dx_\alpha }}a_\alpha ^k (u_x ) = 0, k \leqslant {\rm N}$ , it is proved that the derivatives ux are Hölder in $B_1^ + \cup \Gamma _1 )\backslash \Sigma $ , where Hn?p(σ)=0,p>2. It is shown for continuous solutions u from H1(B1/+) of systems $\frac{d}{{dx_\alpha }}a_\alpha ^k (u,u_x ) = 0$ that the derivatives ux are Hölder on the set $(B_1^ + \cup \Gamma _1 )\backslash \Sigma , dim_\kappa \Sigma \leqslant n - 2$ . We consider weak solutions to nonlinear elliptic systems in a W 1,p -setting which arise as Euler equations to certain variational problems. The solutions are assumed to be stationary in the sense that the differential of the variational integral vanishes with respect to variations of the dependent and independent variables. We impose new structure conditions on the coefficients which yield everywhere ${\mathcal{C}^{\alpha}}$ -regularity and global ${\mathcal{C}^{\alpha}}$ -estimates for the solutions. These structure conditions cover variational integrals like ${\int F(\nabla u)\; dx}$ with potential ${F(\nabla u):=\tilde F (Q_1(\nabla u),\ldots, Q_N(\nabla u))}$ and positively definite quadratic forms in ${\nabla u}$ defined as ${Q_i(\nabla u)=\sum_{\alpha \beta} a_i^{\alpha \beta} \nabla u^\alpha \cdot \nabla u^\beta}$ . A simple example consists in ${\tilde F(\xi_1,\xi_2):= |\xi_1|^{\frac{p}{2}} + |\xi_2|^{\frac{p}{2}}}$ or ${\tilde F(\xi_1,\xi_2):= |\xi_1|^{\frac{p}{4}}|\xi_2|^{\frac{p}{4}}}$ . Since the Q i need not to be linearly dependent our result covers a class of nondiagonal, possibly nonmonotone elliptic systems. The proof uses a new weighted norm technique with singular weights in an L p -setting.  相似文献

Using variational methods, we study the existence and nonexistence of nontrivial weak solutions for the quasilinear elliptic system $$\left\{\begin{array}{ll}- {\rm div}(h_1(|\nabla u|^2)\nabla u) = \frac{\mu}{|x|^2}u + \lambda F_u(x, u, \upsilon)\quad {\rm in}\,\Omega,\\- {\rm div}(h_2(|\nabla \upsilon|^2)\nabla \upsilon) = \frac{\mu}{|x|^2}\upsilon + \lambda F_\upsilon(x,u,\upsilon)\quad {\rm in}\,\Omega,\\u = \upsilon = 0 \qquad \qquad \qquad \qquad \qquad \qquad {\rm in}\, \partial\Omega, \end{array}\right.$$ where \({\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^N,N \geq 3}\) , is a bounded domain containing the origin with smooth boundary \({\partial \Omega ; h_i, i = 1, 2}\) , are nonhomogeneous potentials; \({(F_u, F_v) = \nabla F}\) stands for the gradient of a sign-changing C 1-function \({F : \Omega \times \mathbb{R}^2 \to \mathbb{R}}\) in the variable \({{w = (u, v) \in \mathbb{R}^2}}\) ; and λ and μ are parameters.  相似文献

In this article we prove solvability results for L 2 boundary value problems of some elliptic systems Lu=0 on the upper half-space ${\mathbb{R}} ^{n+1}_{+}, n\ge1$ , with transversally independent coefficients. We use the first order formalism introduced by Auscher-Axelsson-McIntosh and further developed with a better understanding of the classes of solutions in the subsequent work of Auscher-Axelsson. The interesting fact is that we prove only half of the Rellich boundary inequality without knowing the other half.  相似文献

We are concerned with the elliptic problem $${\varepsilon ^2}{\Delta _{{S^n}}}u - u + {u^p} = 0{\text{ in }}{S^n},u > 0{\text{ in }}{S^n}$$ , where ${\Delta _{{S^n}}}$ is the Laplace-Beltrami operator on $\mathbb{S}^n : = \left\{ {x \in \mathbb{R}^{n + 1} ;\left\| x \right\| = 1} \right\}\left( {n \geqslant 3} \right)$ , and p ? 2. We construct a smooth branch C of solutions concentrating on the equator S n ∩ {x n+1 = 0}. Using the Crandall-Rabinowitz bifurcation theorem, we show that C has infinitely many bifurcation points from which continua of nonradial solutions emanate. In applying the bifurcation theorem, we verify the transversality condition directly.  相似文献

We consider inverse boundary value problems for elliptic equations of second order of determining coefficients by Dirichlet-to-Neumann map on subboundaries, that is, the mapping from Dirichlet data supported on subboundary ${\partial \Omega \setminus \Gamma_{-}}$ to Neumann data on subboundary ${\partial \Omega \setminus \Gamma_{+}}$ . First we prove uniqueness results in three dimensions under some conditions such as ${\overline{\Gamma_{+}\cup\Gamma_{-}}= \partial\Omega}$ Next we survey uniqueness results in two dimensions for various elliptic systems for arbitrarily given ${\Gamma_{-} = \Gamma_{+}}$ Our proof is based on complex geometric optics solutions which are constructed by a Carleman estimate.  相似文献

In this paper,we calculate the ()-Selmer groups S()(E/Q) and S()(E/Q) of elliptic curves y2 = x(x + εpD)(x + εqD) via the descent method.In particular,we show that the Selmer groups of several families of such elliptic curves can be arbitrary large.  相似文献

We consider weak solutions ${u \in u_0 + W^{1,2}_0(\Omega,\mathbb{R}^N) \cap L^{\infty}(\Omega,\mathbb{R}^N)}$ of second-order nonlinear elliptic systems of the type $$- {\rm div} \,a (\, \cdot \,, u, Du ) = b(\, \cdot \,,u,Du)\qquad \text{ in }\Omega$$ with an inhomogeneity satisfying a natural growth condition. In dimensions ${n \in \{2,3,4\}}$ , we show that ${\mathcal{H}^{n-1}}$ -almost every boundary point is a regular point for Du, provided that the boundary data and the coefficients are sufficiently smooth.  相似文献

We study existence, uniqueness and asymptotic behavior near the boundary of solutions of the problem $$\left\{\begin{array}{ll}-F(D^{2} u) + \beta (u) = f \quad {\rm in} \, \Omega, \\ u = + \infty \quad \quad \quad \quad \quad \quad \,\,\,\, {\rm on}\, \partial \Omega, \end{array} \right.\quad \quad \quad \quad \quad {\rm (P)}$$ where Ω is a bounded smooth domain in ${{\mathbb R}^N, N >1 , F}$ is a fully nonlinear elliptic operator and β is a nondecreasing continuous function. Assuming that β satisfies the Keller–Osserman condition, we obtain existence results which apply to ${f \in L^\infty_{loc}(\Omega)}$ or f having only local integrability properties where viscosity solutions are well defined, i.e. ${f \in L^N_{loc}(\Omega)}$ . Besides, we find the asymptotic behavior near the boundary of solutions of (P) for a wide class of functions ${f \in \mathcal{C}(\Omega)}$ . Based in this behavior, we also prove uniqueness.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the integral solution operators for the $\bar \partial $ -equations on pseudoconvex domains. As a generalization of [1] for the $\bar \partial $ -equations on pseudoconvex domains with boundary of classC , we obtain the explicit integral operator solutions of $C_{p,q}^{k + \alpha } $ -form for the $\bar \partial $ -equations on pseudoconvex open sets with boundary ofC k (k≥0) and the sup-norm estimates of which solutions have similar as that [1] in form.  相似文献

This paper is a further contribution to the study of exact solutions to KP, KdV, sine-Gordon, 1D Toda and nonlinear Schrodinger equations. We will be uniquely concerned with algebro-geometric solutions, doubly periodic in one variable. According to (so-called) Its-Matveev’s formulae, the Jacobians of the corresponding spectral curves must contain an elliptic curve X, satisfying suitable geometric properties. It turns out that the latter curves are in fact contained in a particular algebraic surface S ⊥, projecting onto a rational surface $\tilde S$ . Moreover, all spectral curves project onto a rational curve inside $\tilde S$ . We are thus led to study all rational curves of $\tilde S$ , having suitable numerical equivalence classes. At last we obtain d- 1-dimensional of spectral curves, of arbitrary high genus, giving rise to KdV solutions doubly periodic with respect to the d-th KdV flow (d ≥ 1). Analogous results are presented, without proof, for the 1D Toda, NL Schrodinger an sine-Gordon equation.  相似文献

The existence of a global branch of positive spherically symmetric solutions ${\{(\lambda,u(\lambda)):\lambda\in(0,\infty)\}}$ of the semilinear elliptic equation $$\Delta u - \lambda u + V(x)|u|^{p-1}u = 0 \quad \text{in}\,\mathbb{R}^N\,\text{with}\,N\geq3$$ is proved for ${1 < p < 1+\frac{4-2b}{N-2}}$ , where ${b\in(0,2)}$ is such that the radial function V vanishes at infinity like |x|?b . V is allowed to be singular at the origin but not worse than |x|?b . The mapping ${\lambda\mapsto u(\lambda)}$ is of class ${C^r((0,\infty),H^1(\mathbb{R}^N))}$ if ${V\in C^r(\mathbb{R}^N\setminus\{0\},\mathbb{R})}$ , for r = 0, 1. Further properties of regularity and decay at infinity of solutions are also established. This work is a natural continuation of previous results by Stuart and the author, concerning the existence of a local branch of solutions of the same equation for values of the bifurcation parameter λ in a right neighbourhood of λ = 0. The variational structure of the equation is deeply exploited and the global continuation is obtained via an implicit function theorem.  相似文献

We study the long-time asymptotics of solutions of the uniformly parabolic equation $$ u_t + F(D^2u) = 0 \quad{\rm in}\, {\mathbb{R}^{n}}\times \mathbb{R}_{+},$$ for a positively homogeneous operator F, subject to the initial condition u(x, 0) =  g(x), under the assumption that g does not change sign and possesses sufficient decay at infinity. We prove the existence of a unique positive solution Φ+ and negative solution Φ?, which satisfy the self-similarity relations $$\Phi^\pm (x,t) = \lambda^{\alpha^\pm}\Phi^\pm ( \lambda^{1/2} x,\lambda t ).$$ We prove that the rescaled limit of the solution of the Cauchy problem with nonnegative (nonpositive) initial data converges to ${\Phi^+}$ ( ${\Phi^-}$ ) locally uniformly in ${\mathbb{R}^{n} \times \mathbb{R}_{+}}$ . The anomalous exponents α+ and α? are identified as the principal half-eigenvalues of a certain elliptic operator associated to F in ${\mathbb{R}^{n}}$ .  相似文献

We consider the following class of nonlinear elliptic equations $$\begin{array}{ll}{-}{\rm div}(\mathcal{A}(|x|)\nabla u) +u^q=0\quad {\rm in}\; B_1(0)\setminus\{0\}, \end{array}$$ where q > 1 and ${\mathcal{A}}$ is a positive C 1(0,1] function which is regularly varying at zero with index ${\vartheta}$ in (2?N,2). We prove that all isolated singularities at zero for the positive solutions are removable if and only if ${\Phi\not\in L^q(B_1(0))}$ , where ${\Phi}$ denotes the fundamental solution of ${-{\rm div}(\mathcal{A}(|x|)\nabla u)=\delta_0}$ in ${\mathcal D'(B_1(0))}$ and δ0 is the Dirac mass at 0. Moreover, we give a complete classification of the behaviour near zero of all positive solutions in the more delicate case that ${\Phi\in L^q(B_1(0))}$ . We also establish the existence of positive solutions in all the categories of such a classification. Our results apply in particular to the model case ${\mathcal{A}(|x|)=|x|^\vartheta}$ with ${\vartheta\in (2-N,2)}$ .  相似文献

We study systems of equations $$\mathfrak{F}_1 = \ldots = \mathfrak{F}_r = 0,$$ where \(\mathfrak{F}_1 , \ldots ,\mathfrak{F}_r \) are cubic forms withp-adic coefficients. Such a system has a nontrivialp-adic solution if the number of variables is at least 50,000 ·r 3. Further we will give estimates for the number of solutions of certain systems of cubic congruences.  相似文献

In this paper we prove that a given set K is approximately weakly invariant with respect to the fully nonlinear differential inclusion $${x^\prime (t) \in Ax (t) + F (x (t))}$$ , where A is an m-dissipative operator, and F is a given multi-function in a Banach space, if and only if the set ${F(\xi)}$ is A-quasi-tangent to the set K, for every ${{\xi \in K}}$ . As an application, we establish that the approximate solutions of the given differential inclusion approximate the solutions of the relaxed (convexified) nonlinear differential inclusion $${x^\prime (t) \in Ax (t) + \overline{co}F (x (t))}$$ , with no hypotheses of Lipschitz type for multi-function F.  相似文献

Given a Lipschitz domain Ω in ${{\mathbb R}^N}$ and a nonnegative potential V in Ω such that V(xd(x, ?Ω)2 is bounded we study the fine regularity of boundary points with respect to the Schrödinger operator L V := Δ ? V in Ω. Using potential theoretic methods, several conditions are shown to be equivalent to the fine regularity of ${z \in \partial \Omega}$ . The main result is a simple (explicit if Ω is smooth) necessary and sufficient condition involving the size of V for ${z \in \partial \Omega}$ to be finely regular. An intermediate result consists in a majorization of ${\int_A \vert{\frac{ u} {d(.,\partial \Omega)}}\vert^2\, dx}$ for u positive harmonic in Ω and ${A \subset \Omega}$ . Conditions for almost everywhere regularity in a subset A of ?Ω are also given as well as an extension of the main results to a notion of fine ${\mathcal{ L}_1 \vert \mathcal{L}_0}$ -regularity, if ${\mathcal{L}_j = \mathcal{L} - V_j, V_0,\, V_1}$ being two potentials, with V 0 ≤ V 1 and ${\mathcal{L}}$ a second order elliptic operator.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a type of nth order functional difference systems depending on a parameter λ. By using the fixed point index theory, we prove that there exists a positive number ${\widetilde{\lambda}}$ separating ${(0,+ \infty) \backslash \widetilde{\lambda}}$ into two disjoint subintervals Λ1 and Λ2 such that the system has zero, at least one or at least two positive periodic solutions according to ${\lambda \in \Lambda_1, \lambda = \widetilde{\lambda}}$ , or ${\lambda \in \Lambda_2}$ . This work improves and extends some recent results in the literature for the first order systems. In addition, we obtain conditions for a general system to have nontrivial periodic solutions. The results are illustrated with an example.  相似文献

We consider the following question: Given a connected open domain ${\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^n}$ , suppose ${u, v : \Omega \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^n}$ with det ${(\nabla u) > 0}$ , det ${(\nabla v) > 0}$ a.e. are such that ${\nabla u^T(x)\nabla u(x) = \nabla v(x)^T \nabla v(x)}$ a.e. , does this imply a global relation of the form ${\nabla v(x) = R\nabla u(x)}$ a.e. in Ω where ${R \in SO(n)}$ ? If u, v are C 1 it is an exercise to see this true, if ${u, v\in W^{1,1}}$ we show this is false. In Theorem 1 we prove this question has a positive answer if ${v \in W^{1,1}}$ and ${u \in W^{1,n}}$ is a mapping of L p integrable dilatation for p > n ? 1. These conditions are sharp in two dimensions and this result represents a generalization of the corollary to Liouville’s theorem that states that the differential inclusion ${\nabla u \in SO(n)}$ can only be satisfied by an affine mapping. Liouville’s corollary for rotations has been generalized by Reshetnyak who proved convergence of gradients to a fixed rotation for any weakly converging sequence ${v_k \in W^{1,1}}$ for which $$\int \limits_{\Omega} {\rm dist}(\nabla v_k, SO(n))dz \rightarrow 0 \, {\rm as} \, k \rightarrow \infty.$$ Let S(·) denote the (multiplicative) symmetric part of a matrix. In Theorem 3 we prove an analogous result to Theorem 1 for any pair of weakly converging sequences ${v_k \in W^{1,p}}$ and ${u_k \in W^{1,\frac{p(n-1)}{p-1}}}$ (where ${p \in [1, n]}$ and the sequence (u k ) has its dilatation pointwise bounded above by an L r integrable function, rn ? 1) that satisfy ${\int_{\Omega} |S(\nabla u_k) - S(\nabla v_k)|^p dz \rightarrow 0}$ as k → ∞ and for which the sign of the det ${(\nabla v_k)}$ tends to 1 in L 1. This result contains Reshetnyak’s theorem as the special case (u k ) ≡ Id, p = 1.  相似文献
