The multisublattice Green's function technique is applied to study the magnetic properties of a mixed spin-2 and spin-5/2 Heisenberg ferrimagnetic system on a two-dimensional honeycomb lattice. The role of the different interactions in the Hamiltonian is explored. When only the nearest-neighbor interaction and the single-ion anisotropy are included, our results indicate that there are compensation points at finite temperatures. When the next-nearest-neighbor interaction exceeds a minimum value that depends on the other parameters in the Hamiltonian, the compensation point disappears. The next-nearest-neighbor interaction has the effect of changing the compensation temperature.  相似文献

We presented a numerical study of the magnetization process of frustrated spin-1/2 chain. Using the exact diagonalization technique, we provided the evidence that a plateau at one-third of the saturation magnetization exists in the magnetization curve of frustrated antiferromagnetic spin-1/2 chain.  相似文献

The ground state spin-wave excitations and thermodynamic properties of two types of ferrimagnetic chains are investigated: the alternating spin-1/2 spin-5/2 chain and a similar chain with a spin-1/2 pendant attached to the spin-5/2 site. Results for magnetic susceptibility, magnetization and specific heat are obtained through the finite-temperature Lanczos method with the aim of describing the available experimental data, as well as comparison with theoretical results from the semiclassical approximation and the low-temperature susceptibility expansion derived from Takahashi's modified spin-wave theory. In particular, we study in detail the temperature versus magnetic field phase diagram of the spin-1/2 spin-5/2 chain, in which several low-temperature quantum phases are identified: the Luttinger liquid phase, the ferrimagnetic plateau and the fully polarized phase, and the respective quantum critical points and crossover lines.  相似文献

Spin-wave expansion is used to evaluate the staggered magnetization of frustrated antiferromagnetic (AF) Heisenberg model with next-nearest-neighbor exchange couplings on a square lattice to the order O(1/S) at zero temperature. It is shown that the O(1/S) order correction increases the staggered magnetization and its presence invalidates the conventional spin- wave conclusions at large frustrations. We apply the mean-field approximation to deal with the quartic terms in the Hamiltonian of the Holstein-Primakoff transformation. A phaqe diagtam is obtained, suggesting that the NCel order is not destroyed for S≥1 at any frustration, while for S = 1/2 there may exist a disordered phase for strong frustrations.  相似文献

基于一维自旋链模型,采用Monte Carlo方法对具有反铁磁相互作用的自旋一I和自旋-3/2交替混合的亚铁磁系统进行模拟计算,研究单离子各向异性对系统磁特性的影响.模拟结果发现:基态时系统的磁化强度在外加磁场作用下呈现出阶梯状,并获得了自旋-1和自旋-3/2交替混合的亚铁磁系统相图.最后,通过对系统能量和自旋组态的研究,解释了该系统中出现的阶梯效应和相图.  相似文献

We study a mixed spin-(3/2,1) ladder system with antiferromagnetic rung coupling and next-nearest-neighbor interaction.The exactly solved Ising-chain model is employed to investigate the ground-state properties and thermodynamics of the low-dimensional ladder system.Our results show that the competition between different exchange couplings brings in a large variety of ground states characterized by various values of normalized magnetization equal to 0,1/5,2/5,3/5,1.Moreover,an interesting double-peak structure is also detected in the thermal dependence of magnetic susceptibility and specific heat when the frustration comes into play.It is shown that the double-peak phenomenon at zero-field for the case of AF_2 ground-state arises from the very strong antiferromagnetic rung coupling,while other cases are attributed to the excitations induced by temperature and external field around the phase boundary.  相似文献

The spin-1/2 antiferromagnetic and spin-(1/2, 1) ferrimagnetic single-walled nanotubes are described by XXZ Heisenberg model. The sublattice magnetization and the critical temperature of the system are calculated by using the double-time spin Green's function method. At zero temperature, with the increase of the exchange interaction in the circumferential direction, a maximum value appears in the sublattice magnetization curves of antiferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic systems. As the diameter of the tube increases, the spin quantum fluctuations and thermal fluctuations are suppressed. In addition, the spin quantum fluctuation of the spin-1/2 antiferromagnetic system is greater than that of the spin-(1/2, 1) ferrimagnetic system. The critical temperature of the system increases firstly and then tends to a constant with the increase of the diameter of tube, and it decreases to zero as the exchange anisotropy of the system disappears.  相似文献

We study the ground-state properties of frustrated Heisenberg ferrimagnetic ladders with antiferromagnetic exchange interactions and two types of alternating sublattice spins. In the limit of strong rung couplings, we show that the mixed spin-1/2 and spin-1 ladders can be systematically mapped onto a spin-1/2 Heisenberg model with additional next-nearest-neighbor exchanges. The system is either in a ferrimagnetic state or in a critical spin-liquid state depending on the competition between the spin exchanges along the legs and the diagonal exchanges.  相似文献

利用严格对角化方法研究了一种自旋为1/2的铁磁-反铁磁交替自旋链的物理性质.计算了自旋关联函数、自旋z方向分量、自旋激发谱和磁化曲线等基本物理量,并将这些物理量和自旋为(1,1/2)的混合反铁磁自旋链对应的物理性质进行了比较.结果表明,当铁磁作用居于主导地位时,该模型的物理行为等效于混合自旋模型.因此,可以通过分析铁磁-反铁磁交替自旋链的物理性质研究混合自旋链的物理行为.  相似文献

The heat conductivity kappa(T) of integrable models, like the one-dimensional spin-1/2 nearest-neighbor Heisenberg model, is infinite even at finite temperatures as a consequence of the conservation laws associated with integrability. Small perturbations lead to finite but large transport coefficients which we calculate perturbatively using exact diagonalization and moment expansions. We show that there are two different classes of perturbations. While an interchain coupling of strength J(perpendicular) leads to kappa(T) proportional to 1/J(perpendicular)2 as expected from simple golden-rule arguments, we obtain a much larger kappa(T) proportional to 1/J'4 for a weak next-nearest-neighbor interaction J'. This can be explained by a new approximate conservation law of the J-J' Heisenberg chain.  相似文献

The magnetic behaviors of a mixed spin-1 and spin-2 Heisenberg ferrimagnetic system on a square lattice are studied by using the double-time temperature-dependent Green’s function technique. In order to decouple the higher order Green’s functions, Anderson and Callen’s decoupling and random phase approximations have been used. The system is described in the presence of an external magnetic field. We illustrate the influences of the nearest- and next-nearest-neighbor interactions and the single-ion anisotropies with an external magnetic field on compensation and critical temperatures. We found that the system that includes only the nearest-neighbor interaction and the single-ion anisotropies does not have a compensation temperature. When the next-nearest-neighbor interactions exceed a certain minimum value, a compensation temperature begins to appear. For some negative values of single-ion anisotropies, there exist first-order phase transitions. The system has first-order phase transition properties when it is under the influence of an external magnetic field.  相似文献

We show that the introduction of frustration into the spin- 1/2 two-dimensional (2D) antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model on a square lattice via a next-nearest-neighbor exchange interaction can lead to a Peierls-like transition, from a tetragonal to an orthorhombic phase, when the spins are coupled to adiabatic phonons. The two different orthorhombic ground states define an Ising order parameter, which is expected to lead to a finite temperature transition. Implications for Li(2)VOSiO(4), the first realization of that model, will be discussed.  相似文献

对含有次近邻节点自旋交换耦合的自旋-1/2伊辛-海森伯钻石链体系进行了研究,利用矩阵对角化和传递矩阵方法对基态磁相和宏观热力学量进行了严格求解,重点探讨了所有交换耦合均为反铁磁耦合时,体系节点伊辛自旋间次近邻相互作用的影响.研究结果表明次近邻节点伊辛自旋存在反铁磁耦合时会增强系统的阻挫效应,引入破坏平移对称性的经典亚铁磁相,使基态呈现出上上上下上上的自旋构型以及磁化曲线新颖的2/3磁化平台,丰富了体系的基态相图和宏观磁性行为.  相似文献

Experimental evidence for a plethora of low energy spin excitations in the spin-1/2 kagome antiferromagnet ZnCu3(OH)6Cl2 may be understandable in terms of an extended Fermi surface of spinons coupled to a U(1) gauge field. We carry out variational calculations to examine the possibility that such a state may be energetically viable. A Gutzwiller-projected wave function reproduces the dimerization of a kagome strip found previously by the density matrix renormalization group. Application to the full kagome lattice shows that the inclusion of a small ferromagnetic next-nearest-neighbor interaction favors a ground state with a spinon Fermi surface.  相似文献

The magnetization of mixed spin-1/2, 1 Ising diamond chain with antiferromagnetic spin exchange interaction has been investigated by using the Monte Carlo simulation. Magnetization behaviors with different antiferromagnetic interactions are simulated under magnetic field at low temperature. The behaviors are studied in two different cases. In one case the absolute value of the interaction between two spin-1/2 atoms is the largest and in the other case it is not the largest. Multiple plateaus of magnetization M, such as plateaus at M=±1, M=0 and M=±0.566 are obtained. The plateaus at M=±0.566 correspond to two metastable states. The M=0 plateau may disappear at some specific values of spin exchange interactions. The spin configurations were checked when the plateaus appear. The dimmer and trimmer states are found.  相似文献

A theoretical study of a mixed spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 Ising system with independent transverse fields is presented using an effective field method within the framework of a single-site cluster theory. In this approach the effective field equations are derived using a probability distribution method based on the use of generalized van der Waerden identities accounting exactly for the single-site kinematic relations. The effect of the transverse fields on the critical behaviour is studied. The thermal dependence of the longitudinal and transverse components of the magnetization and its higher moments is also studied.  相似文献

A linear cluster mean-field approximation is used to study the magnetic properties of the Ising ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic superlattice, which is composed of a spin-1/2 ferromagnetic monolayer and a spin-1 antiferromagnetic monolayer with a single-ion anisotropy alternatively. By using the transfer matrix method, we calculate the magnetization and the initial magnetic susceptibility as functions of temperature for different interlayer coupling, single-ion anisotropy. We summarize the changing behaviors of the spin structure in ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic layers and the characteristics of the corresponding magnetic susceptibilities, give the transition temperature as a function of the interlayer exchange coupling for different single-ion anisotropy, and analyze the features of the magnetization and the magnetic susceptibility.  相似文献
