 Core–shell latex particles made of a poly(butyl methacrylate) (PBMA) core and a thin polypyrrole (PPy) shell were synthesized by two-stage polymerization. In the first stage, PBMA latex particles were synthesized in a semicontinuous process by free-radical polymerization. PBMA latex particles were labeled either with an energy donor or with an energy acceptor, in two different syntheses. These particles were used in a second stage as seeds for the synthesis of the core–shell particles. The PPy shell was polymerized around the PBMA core latex in an oxidative chemical in situ polymerization. Proofs for the success of the core–shell synthesis were obtained using nonradiative energy transfer (NRET) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). NRET gives access to the rate of polymer chain migration between adjacent particles in a film annealed at a temperature above the glass-transition temperature T g of the particles. Slower chain migration of the PBMA polymer chains was obtained with the PBMA–PPy core–shell particles compared to rate of the PBMA polymer chain migration found with the pure, uncoated PBMA particles. This result is due to the coating of PBMA by PPy, which hinders the migration of the PBMA polymer chains between adjacent particles in the film. This observation has been confirmed by AFM measurements showing that the flattening of the latex film surface is much slower for the core–shell particles than for the pure PBMA particles. This result can again be explained by the presence of a rigid PPy shell around the PBMA core. Thus, these two complementary methods have given evidence that real core–shell particles were synthesized and that the shell seriously hinders film formation of the particles in spite of the fact that it is very thin (thickness close to 1 nm) compared to the size (750 and 780 nm in diameter) of the PBMA core. Transparency measurements confirm the results obtained by NRET and AFM. When the films are placed at a temperature higher than the T g of PBMA, the increase in transparency is faster for films made with the uncoated PBMA particles than for films made with the coated PBMA particles. This result indicates again that the presence of the rigid PPy layer around the PBMA core reduces considerably the speed at which the structure of the film is modified when heated above the T g of PBMA. The energetics of clouding in anionic surfactant (SDBS) and tetrabutylammonium bromide system in the presence of additives, such as ureas, amino acids and sugars is reported. The change of standard Gibbs energy of solubilization (ΔG s o) for all of the additives was found to be negative. The values of change of standard enthalpy (ΔH s o) and that of standard entropy (TΔS s o) values were found to depend on the type and chemistry of the additive. The results were explained on the basis including chemistry of additives, their effect on water structure, and solubilization of additives either in the micellar or in aqueous phases.  相似文献

Four new heterotrinuclear complexes have been synthesized and characterized, namely {[Ni(L)2]2[Cu(opba)]}(ClO4)2, where opba denotes o-phenylenebis(oxamato) and L stands for 1,10-phenanthroline(phen) (1), 5-nitro-l,10-phenanthroline(NO2-phen) (2), 2,2′-bipyridyl(bpy) (S) and 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridyl(Me2bpy) (4). The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of {[Ni(phen)2]2[Cu(opba)]}(ClO4)23H2O has been studied in the 4–300 K range, giving the exchange integral J—109 cm?1. The HMT vs. T plot exhibits a minimum at about 100 K, characteristic of this kind of coupled polymetallic complex with an irregular spin-state structure.  相似文献

Newly synthesized mononuclear copper(II) and zinc(II) complexes containing an azo Schiff base ligand (L), prepared by condensation of 2-hydroxy-5-(o-tolyldiazenyl)benzaldehyde and propylamine, were obtained and then characterized using infrared and NMR spectroscopies, mass spectrometry and X-ray diffraction. Ligand L behaves as a bidentate chelate by coordinating through deprotonated phenolic oxygen and azomethine nitrogen. The copper and zinc complexes crystallize in triclinic and orthorhombic systems, respectively, with space groups P1 and Pca21. In these complexes, the Cu(II) ion is in a square planar geometry while the Zn(II) ion is in a distorted tetrahedral environment. The photochemical behaviors of ligand L, [Cu(L)2] and [Zn(L)2] were investigated. The azo group in L underwent reversible transcis isomerization under UV and visible irradiation. This process was inhibited for the complexes. In addition, ligand L and its copper and zinc complexes were assessed for their in vitro antibacterial activities against four pathogenic strains.  相似文献

A zinc(II) coordination polymer, [Zn4(o-bda)4(p-pbim)4] n (1) (p-pbim = 4-pyridylbenzimidazole, o-bda2? = o-phenylenediacetic acid dianion), has been synthesized by hydrothermal method and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TG, photoluminescence and X-ray single crystal diffraction. Complex 1 crystallizes in a monoclinic system and space group P21 /n, with a = 14.231(3) Å, b = 16.257(4) Å, c = 16.794(4) Å, β = 100.262(1)°, and Z = 8; R 1 for 6475 observed reflections [I > 2σ(I)] was 0.0420. Complex 1 shows a bi-chain structure fabricated by the tetranuclear zinc unit. Two zinc(II) ions are five coordinate with distorted trigonal-bipyramid geometry; the other two zinc(II) ions are four coordinate with distorted tetrahedral geometry. Complex 1 builds the 1-D bi-chain structure with two different subrings A and B, which are 32-member and 14-member rings, respectively. There exists a 2-D supramolecular network linked by hydrogen-bonding interactions (2.695 and 2.807 Å). A 3-D supramolecular network is further constructed by non-covalent interactions between the 1-D bi-chain structure. The TG/DTG shows that the chain skeleton is thermally stable to 356°C. Blue fluorescent emission of the complex was determined at 404 nm in the solid state with short decay lifetime of 1.67 ns.  相似文献

Thermally stimulated currents (TSC) were examined for poly(bis(p-fluorophenoxy)phosphazene) (PBFPP) film. TSC showed peaks at the glass transition temperature (Tg=–4 °C) and atT(1) (160 °C – 170 °C), where-form crystal phase transformed to mesophase of-form structure. Another peak was found atT cc betweenTg andT(1). Linear relationship between polarization field and peak current ofT cc -peak was found, which shows thatT cc -peak was caused by motion of dipolar groups in crystalline phase. When heating (up to 200 °C) and cooling (down to 20 °C) thermal process was repeated,T cc -peak shifted to higher temperature region approachingT(1) and simultaneously, the peak current ofT(1)-peak became smaller. Activation energy, time constant of dipolar relaxation and charge mobility were evaluated forT cc -peak. From these results, it was concluded that-form and more ordered- form crystalline phases coexisted in PBFPP once heated aboveT(1) and the content of- form phase increased by repeated thermal hysteresis.  相似文献

A series of poly(o‐hydroxy amide)s having both ether and sulfone linkages in the main chain were synthesized via the low‐temperature solution polycondensation of 4,4′‐[sulfonylbis(1,4‐phenylene)dioxy]dibenzoyl chloride and 4,4′‐[sulfonylbis(2,6‐dimethyl‐1,4‐phenylene)dioxy]dibenzoyl chloride with three bis(o‐aminophenol)s including 4,4′‐diamino‐3,3′‐dihydroxybiphenyl, 3,3′‐diamino‐4,4′‐dihydroxybiphenyl, and 2,2‐bis(3‐diamino‐4‐hydroxyphenyl)hexafluoropropane. Subsequent thermal cyclodehydration of the poly(o‐hydroxy amide)s afforded polyethersulfone benzoxazoles. Most of the poly(o‐hydroxy amide)s were soluble in polar organic solvents such as N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone; however, the polybenzoxazoles without the hexafluoroisopropylidene group were organic‐insoluble. The polybenzoxazoles exhibited glass‐transition temperatures (Tg) in the range of 219–282 °C by DSC and softening temperatures (Ts) of 242–320 °C by thermomechanical analysis. Thermogravimetric analyses indicated that most polybenzoxazoles were stable up to 450 °C in air or nitrogen. The 10% weight loss temperatures were recorded in the ranges of 474–593 °C in air and 478–643 °C in nitrogen. The methyl‐substituted polybenzoxazoles had higher Tg's but lower Ts's and initial decomposition temperatures compared with the corresponding unsubstituted polybenzoxazoles. For a comparative purpose, the synthesis and characterization of a series of sulfonyl polybenzoxazoles without the ether group that derived from 4,4′‐sulfonyldibenzoyl chloride and bis(o‐aminophenol)s were also reported. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Cu(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) complexes with the Schiff base derived from 1,2-bis-(o-aminophenoxy)ethane with salicylaldehyde have been prepared. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic measurements, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, UV, visible and IR spectra as well as conductance measurements. The ligand is coordinated to the central metal as a tetradentate ONNO ligand. The four bonding sites are the central azomethine nitrogen and aldehydic OH groups. The ligand was used for complexation studies. Stability constants were measured by a conductometric method. Furthermore, the stability constants for complexation between ZnCl2 and Cu(NO3)2 salts and N,N′-bis(salicylidene)-1,2-bis-(o-aminophenoxy)ethane (H2L) in 80% dioxane/water and pure methanol were determined from conductance measurements. The magnitudes of these ion association constants are related to the nature of the solvation of the cation and the complexed cation. The mobilities of the complexes are also dependent, in part, upon solvation effects.  相似文献

Three new bis(ether‐acyl chloride) monomers, 1,1‐bis[4‐(4‐chloroformylphenoxy)phenyl]cyclohexane ( 1a ), 5,5‐bis[4‐(4‐chloroformylphenoxy)phenyl]‐4,7‐methanohexahydroindan ( 1b ), and 9,9‐bis[4‐(4‐chloroformylphenoxy)phenyl]fluorene ( 1c ), were synthesized from readily available compounds. Aromatic polybenzoxazoles bearing ether and cardo groups were obtained by the low‐temperature solution polycondensation of the bis(ether‐acyl chloride)s with three bis(aminophenol)s and the subsequent thermal cyclodehydration of the resultant poly(o‐hydroxy amide)s. The intermediate poly(o‐hydroxy amide)s exhibited inherent viscosities in the range of 0.35–0.71 dL/g. All of the poly(o‐hydroxy amide)s were amorphous and soluble in many organic polar solvents, and most of them could afford flexible and tough films by solvent casting. The poly(o‐hydroxy amide)s exhibited glass‐transition temperatures (Tg's) in the range of 141–169 °C and could be thermally converted into the corresponding polybenzoxazoles approximately in the region of 240–350 °C, as indicated by the DSC thermograms. Flexible and tough films of polybenzoxazoles could be obtained by thermal cyclodehydration of the poly(o‐hydroxy amide) films. All the polybenzoxazoles were amorphous and showed an enhanced Tg but a dramatically decreased solubility as compared with their poly(o‐hydroxy amide) precursors. They exhibited Tg's of 215–272 °C by DSC and showed insignificant weight loss before 500 °C in nitrogen or air. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. A PVC membrane electrode using [Bzo2Me2Ph2(16)hexaeneN4] ( I ) as ionophore, oleic acid as lipophilic additive and o‐nitrophenyloctyl ether as plasticizer has been investigated as Zn(II)‐selective electrode. The membrane incorporating 34.9% (w/w) PVC, 2.3% I , 4.7% OA and 58.1% o‐NPOE gave linear response over the concentration range 2.82×10?6?1.0×10?1 M with a Nernstian slope of 28.5±0.2 mV/decade of concentration with a detection limit of 2.24×10?6 M (0.146 ppm) and showed a response time of less than 10 s and could be used in pH range 2.5–8.5. High selectivity was obtained over a wide variety of metal ions. The proposed electrode was successfully used as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of zinc ions with EDTA and for determination of zinc in real samples.  相似文献

The electrical conductance behavior of hexaamminemetal nitrates of Cr(III), Co(II–III), Ni(II), and Cu(II) in liquid ammonia has been measured at temperatures varying from –40 to –75°C. Both univalent and divalent dissociations have been considered. The two outer-sphere association constantsK 1 andK 2, which control the properties in the concentration range employed, have been determined together with 0 in a way described earlier by Fuoss. The thermodynamic quantities Ho and So of the univalent dissociation, evaluated from the temperature dependence of the association constants, are remarkably independent of the nature and charge of the metal ion. In complex1, the cobalt(II) atom is located in an inversion center and coordinated by four unidentate betaine ligands and a pair oftrans aqua ligands, and strong hydrogen bonds are formed between the aqua ligands and the pendant oxygen atoms of the betaine ligands. In complex2, mononuclear and dinuclear cations coexist in the asymmetric unit. In the mixed-ligand complex3 the betaine ligand acts in the unidentate coordination mode andN,N,N,N-tetramethylethylenediamine (tmen) in the chelate mode. Complex4 contains a discrete centrosymmetric tetranuclear cations in which one pair of betaine ligands act in the bidentate bridging mode and the other in both bidentate and one-atom bridging modes.  相似文献

The o‐substituted hybrid phenylphosphines, PPh2(o‐C6H4NH2) and PPh2(o‐C6H4OH), could be deprotonated with LDA or n‐BuLi to yield PPh2(o‐C6H4NHLi) and PPh2(o‐C6H4OLi), respectively. When added to a solution of (η5‐C5H5)Fe(CO)2I at room temperature, these two lithiated reagents produce a chelated neutral complex 1 (η5‐C5H5)Fe(CO)[C(O)NH(o‐C6H4)PPh2C,P‐η2] for the former and mainly a zwitterionic complex 2 , (η5‐C5H5)Fe+(CO)2[PPh2(o‐C6H4O?)] for the latter. Complex 1 could easily be protonated and then decarbonylated to give 4 [(η5‐C5H5)Fe(CO){NH2(o‐C6H4)PPh2N,P‐η2}+]. Complexes 1 and 4‐I have been crystallographically characterized with X‐ray diffraction.  相似文献

Two new bis(ether acyl chloride)s, 1,1‐bis[4‐(4‐chloroformylphenoxy)phenyl]‐1‐phenylethane and 1,1‐bis[4‐(4‐chloroformylphenoxy)phenyl]‐1‐phenyl‐2,2,2‐trifluoroethane, were prepared from readily available reagents. Aromatic polybenzoxazoles with both ether and phenylethylidene or 1‐phenyl‐2,2,2‐trifluoroethylidene linkages between phenylene units were obtained by a conventional two‐step procedure including the low‐temperature solution polycondensation of the bis(ether acyl chloride)s with three bis(o‐aminophenol)s, yielding poly(o‐hydroxyamide) precursors, and subsequent thermal cyclodehydration. The intermediate poly(o‐hydroxyamide)s exhibited inherent viscosities of 0.39–0.98 dL/g. All of the poly(o‐hydroxyamide)s were amorphous and soluble in polar organic solvents such as N,N‐dimethylacetamide, and most of them could afford flexible and tough films via solvent casting. The poly(o‐hydroxyamide)s exhibited glass‐transition temperatures (Tg's) of 129–194 °C and could be thermally converted into corresponding polybenzoxazoles in the solid state at temperatures higher than 300 °C. All the polybenzoxazoles were amorphous and showed an enhanced Tg but a dramatically decreased solubility with to respect to their poly(o‐hydroxyamide) precursors. They exhibited Tg's of 216–236 °C through differential scanning calorimetry and were stable up to 500 °C in nitrogen or air, with 10% weight‐loss temperatures being recorded between 538 and 562 °C in nitrogen or air. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The reactions of ytterbium naphthalene complex C10H8Yb(THF)2 with 2-cyclopentadienylethanol, 1-cyclopentadienylpropan-2-ol, 3-cyclopentadienyl-1-butoxypropan-2-ol, and cyclopentadienyldimethylsilyl-tert-butylamine were studied. Two new transition metal dicyanamide complexes [Co2(tppz)(dca)4]·CH3CN ( 1 ) [tppz=tetra(2‐pyridyl)pyrazine, dca=dicyanamide] and [Co(tptz)(dca)(H2O)](dca) ( 2 ) [tptz=2,4,6‐tri(2‐pyridyl)‐1,3,5‐triazine] were synthesized and characterized by single crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. In 1 each cobalt(II) atom is coordinated to three dca anions and one tppz molecule to form a distorted octahedral geometry, the neigbour two cobalt(II) atoms are bridged by one tppz ligand to form a dimer, then the cobalt(II) atoms in each dimer are joined together to form a ladder chain structure. In 2 the coordination geometry around the central metal is also distorted octahedral, each cobalt(II) atom is coordinated by two dca anions, one tptz molecule and one water ligand to form a cationic part, and the cationic part is linked with the free dca anions via the electrostatic attraction to give an infinite chain structure. Magnetic susceptibility measurement in the range of 2–300 K indicates that there are antiferromagnetic couplings between adjacent metal ions in 1 (T>29 K, (=?9.78 K, C=4.92 cm3·K·mol?1) and ferromagnetic couplings in 2 (T>150 K, (=7.97 K, C=2.59 cm3·K·mol?1) respectively.  相似文献

The oxygenation constants and thermodynamic parameters (ΔHo, ΔSo) of a series of novel Co(II) dihydroxamic acids containing a central functional group (-OCH3) CoL1∼CoL6 were measured, their catalytic performance in the oxidation of p-xylene to p-toluic acid (PTA) were examined. The influence of` ligand structure, the substituents (X = Cl, OCH3 and Y = H, CH3, Cl) of the aromatic rings and added alkaline cations on the O2-binding capabilities and catalytic oxidation activities were investigated.  相似文献

Complexes CuL3Cl2, PdL2Cl2 and PtL2Cl2, where L is a novel ligand from the series of 2-substituted 5-aminotetrazoles, namely 5-amino-2-tert-butyltetrazole (1), have been synthesized by the reaction of metal(II) chlorides with 1 and characterized by IR spectroscopy, thermal and X-ray analyses. The crystallographic structural analysis of these complexes revealed that 1 acts as a monodentate ligand coordinated to the metal via endocyclic N4 atom. Platinum complex demonstrates promising cytotoxicity against human cervical carcinoma cells with IC50 value average between those of cisplatin and carboplatin.  相似文献
