Polymers were prepared by condensing p-xylylene dibromide separately with salicylic acid and β-resorcylic acid in the presence of anhydrous ferric chloride in dioxane. The polymer samples_were characterized by elemental analysis, by IR spectral study, by M determined by vapor pressure osmometry, by nonaqueous conducto-metric titration in pyridine, by TGA in air, and by viscosity measurements of polymer solutions in DMF. Polymeric metal chelates of Cu2+, Co2+, Zn2+, Ni2+, and Fe3+ with polymer samples were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, by IR spectral study, and by TGA in air. The chelation ion-exchange properties of the polymer samples were studied by employing the batch equilibration method.  相似文献

Friedel-Crafts self-polycondensation of 4,4′-dichloromethyl-diphenyl ether (DDE) is studied under various experimental conditions. These polymer samples are infusible and are insoluble in all solvents. The polymer samples, PDs, are characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectral study, and by TGA. Polymer reaction products of one polymer sample are prepared by subjecting it to Friedel-Crafts reaction with excess benzene and by treating it with triethylamine. Both the polymer reaction products are found to be less stable than the parent polymer sample.  相似文献

Friedel-Crafts polycondensations of 4, 4′-dichloromethyldiphenyl ether (DDE) with phenol and isomeric cresols were carried out under different experimental conditions. The molecular weight of the polymer products was estimated by end group analysis, that of soluble products by VPO, and they were characterized by TGA and solution viscosity. DMF solutions of samples prepared from phenol and p- and m-cresols, but not those from o-cresol, showed abnormal viscosity behavior. However, the viscosity behavior of DMF-water solutions was normal. Abnormal vis-cisoty data of DMF solutions were correlated by an empirical relation. Curing of one fusible and soluble DDE-phenol polymer sample with hexamine was studied by measuring the percentage of cured material as a function of time at selected temperatures.  相似文献

A novel catalytic system, ZnCl2 supported on alumina, was found to be an efficient and readily available medium for the solvent-free Friedel-Crafts acylation reactions under microwave irradiation. Good yields and high catalytic efficiencies were observed within short reaction times. Comparing with silica gel, alumina was more efficient under the same conditions.  相似文献

Abstract

To understand the retention mechanisms involved in reversed-phase micelle chromatography, two models were examined to study the temperature and micelle concentration contribution to the retention process. the first model described the temperature contribution, using the van's Hoff equation, for each of the three equilibria: micelle-to-extra-micelle-mobile-phase, extra-micellar-mobile-phase-to-stationary phase and micelle-to-stationary phase. the second model described the temperature contribution on k' irrespective of the various equilibria involved. It was found that the enthalpy of retention obtained with the second model decreased with increasing micelle concentration. This contradicted a primary assumption in the first model that the equilibrium constants were independent of micelle concentration. No relationship was found between the enthalpy of retention evaluated with either model and the polarity of the partitioned solute molecules. A correlation was found between the entropy of retention and the polarity of these molecules. Fluorescence studies indicated that the micelle solvated molecules were probably located in the core of the micelles which contained other mobile phase components such as 1-propanol and water.  相似文献
