单模石英光纤中受激喇曼散射的研究   总被引:8,自引:7,他引:1  
利用连续光纤激光器为泵浦源,对单模石英光纤中的受激喇曼散射进行了实验研究.在较低功率泵浦下,观察到由自发喇曼散射向受激喇曼散射演化的过程中,光谱不断变窄;当Stokes波信号功率较强时,观察到光谱峰值相对于泵浦波的频移量从440 cm-1转化到490 cm-1.在改进耦合系统后,不仅观察到一级喇曼频移,并且观察到了高阶Stokes光.在产生多级喇曼光谱时能量移动比较复杂,每两级的喇曼频移间隔并不完全相同.  相似文献

利用连续波掺Yb双包层光纤激光器为泵浦源,对单模石英光纤中受激Raman散射谱的形成过程进行了实验研究结果表明,由自发Raman散射向受激Raman散射演化的过程中Stokes谱宽度不断变窄当Stokes波信号功率较强时,在Raman光谱内部会出现能量红移现象,使Stokes光谱峰值相对于泵浦波的频移量从440cm-1转化到490cm-1.  相似文献

Stimulated Raman scattering in a double cladding optical fiber is studied with a continuous wave laser used as a pump source. Under various launch conditions, pump modes are differently excited. Considering the mode coupling effect among the pump modes, the evolution of the power in the Stokes modes is studied. The results show that the scattered waves (the Stokes waves) in the fiber core with 9%tm diameter and 0.14 NA could propagate predominantly in the fundamental mode of the fiber by carefully adjusting the pump light launching conditions.  相似文献

采用标准单模石英光纤作为拉曼增益介质,光纤布拉格光栅作为谐振腔镜,研制了一台内腔级联拉曼光纤激光器。利用掺Yb双包层光纤激光器作为抽运源,实现了二级拉曼转换,在波长1176.8nm获得了309mW的最大输出功率,斜率效率接近51.5%。在小抽运功率下,发现拉曼光纤激光器的输出中存在重复周期约为2.9μs的脉冲序列;当抽运功率大于某一值时,上述脉冲消失,获得了十分稳定的连续输出。  相似文献

We introduce the concept of cascaded resonant Raman pumping of fibre lasers. The pump scheme utilises the relatively large intracavity Stokes field that is generated within a Raman fibre laser to excite a lanthanide ion that is doped within the core of the fibre providing the Raman gain. In order to illustrate the general characteristics of the pump method and, to establish the design parameters necessary for the realisation of the pump scheme, calculations from a theoretical model that is used to simulate the generation of laser output from a fibre laser that is resonantly pumped with first Stokes radiation is presented. Specifically, the 2.1 μm output from a Ho3+-doped silica fibre laser that is pumped with 1.15 μm first Stokes radiation is calculated with the use of a relatively simple numerical model. For a launched pump power of 20 W at 1.07 μm, a fibre laser output of 3 W is predicted for a nominal intrinsic loss of 1.5 dB/km at 2.1 μm, however, this low value of the intrinsic loss at 2.1 μm can be significantly relaxed when the length of the Ho3+-doped silica fibre laser resonator is made considerably shorter than the Stokes resonator.  相似文献

提出一种输出功率稳定的二级喇曼光纤激光器,从理论分析角度探讨了它的特性.结果表明:由于在抽运光的二级斯托克斯光频附近的自发辐射光的钳制作用,激光器的一级和二级输出功率几乎都不受抽运功率波动的影响,从而降低了抽运光低频相对强度噪音转移|激光器输出的一级和二级斯托克斯光功率都很稳定,并且通过调节激光器结构中的可变衰减器,可以有效控制一级、二级激光的输出功率以及它们的比值.这些特性表明该喇曼光纤激光器很适合于作为喇曼光纤放大器的抽运源.  相似文献

An efficiency of 8.2% is demonstrated for a diode-pumped passively Q-switched self-stimulated Raman laser with an a-cut mixed vanadate crystal, Nd:Gd0.8Y0.2VO4. At 2.2 W of incident pump power, the self-stimulated Raman laser produces pulses as short as 660 ps at a Stokes wavelength of 1175 nm with 2.7 microJ of energy per pulse at a 66-kHz repetition rate.  相似文献

In this work, an optical approach is theoretically presented for suppressing the low-frequency relative intensity noise transfer from the pump source to the Raman fiber laser output. This is accomplished by generating a sufficiently high-amplified spontaneous emission intensity at one Stokes shift in the wavelength from the lasing line to stabilize the latter at the cost of lasing efficiency. In addition, the clamped laser output can be easily controlled in a large dynamic range. These special properties suit the proposed Raman fiber laser to usage in Raman fiber amplifiers as the pump source.  相似文献

The operation of an all solid-state pulsed Nd:KGW Raman laser pumped by compact passively Q-switched Nd:YAG/Cr:YAG laser is demonstrated. The first-Stokes radiation of stimulated Nd:KGW Raman scattering at the 1178 nm is generated. The average output power of 336 mW at Stokes wavelength was obtained under the laser diode pump power of 5.74 W. The corresponding optical efficiency from the diode light to the Raman output is 9.85%. The pulse width of 1.65 ns and a pulse repetition rate of 10 kHz were also obtained.  相似文献

研究了在不同温度下单模石英光纤的受激拉曼散射光谱,从实验和理论上分析了温度对拉曼散射光谱特性的影响,在脉冲调Q倍频YAG激光的泵浦作用下,获得了石英光纤一级斯托克斯光的拉曼频移、带宽及光强随温度的变化规律。实验表明随着温度的升高,拉曼频移逐渐增大,在一定的温度范围内拉曼频移和温度成线性关系。在相同的泵浦功率作用下,当温度较低时,拉曼光谱的级次较低, 低温对高阶斯托克斯光有抑制作用; 温度越低其阈值越高;而拉曼光谱的谱线宽度随温度的变化不是线性的,存在一个谱线宽度极大值点。理论和实验表明温度对光纤受激拉曼散射的光谱特性有直接的影响。  相似文献

A multiwavelength laser comb using a bismuth-based erbium-doped fiber and 50 m photonic crystal fiber is demonstrated in a ring cavity configuration. The fiber laser is solely pumped by a single 1455 nm Raman pump laser to exploit its higher power delivery compared to that of a single-mode laser diode pump. At 264 mW Raman pump power and 1 mW Brillouin pump power, 38 output channels in the L-band have been realized with an optical signal-to-noise ratio above 15 dB and a Stokes line spacing of 0.08 nm. The laser exhibits a tuning range of 12 nm and produces stable Stokes lines across the tuning range between Brillouin pump wavelengths of 1603 nm and 1615 nm.  相似文献

A feasible approach is theoretically demonstrated that suppresses the relative intensity noise (RIN) transfer from pump sources to the proposed Raman fiber laser (RFL) output at the first-order Stokes line. The technique is accomplished by injecting a modulated signal at second-order Stokes shift from the pump wavelength according to the monitored RFL output, which indirectly consumes the pump power fluctuations and results in suppression of the RIN transfer to the RFL output. With the RFL used as a pump source for co-pumped Raman fiber amplifiers, further calculation results show that the Q-factor penalty due to RIN transfer can be dramatically reduced.  相似文献

Generation of efficient subnanosecond self-stimulated Raman pulses by a diode-pumped passively Q-switched Nd:YVO4/Cr4+:YAG laser is demonstrated. Experimental results reveal that self-frequency Raman conversion can be achieved with a c-cut Nd:YVO4 crystal in a nearly hemispherical cavity. At 2.0 W of incident pump power, the self-stimulated Raman laser produces stable 710-ps pulses at a Stokes wavelength of 1178.6 nm with 7.2 microJ of pulse energy at a 17-kHz repetition rate.  相似文献

We report on what is, to our knowledge, the first cw pumped Raman fiber-gas laser based on a hollow-core photonic crystal fiber filled with hydrogen. The high efficiency of the gas-laser interaction inside the fiber allows operation in a single-pass configuration. The transmitted spectrum exhibits 99.99% of the output light at the Stokes wavelength and a pump power threshold as low as 2.25 W. The study of the Stokes emission evolution with pressure shows that highly efficient Raman amplification is still possible even at atmospheric pressure. The addition of fiber Bragg gratings to the system, creating a cavity at the Stokes wavelength, reduces the Raman threshold power below 600 mW.  相似文献

Abstract

A tunable multi-wavelength L-band Brillouin–Raman fiber laser with a 20-GHz channel spacing utilizing bidirectional ring cavity is proposed and experimentally investigated. The laser employs a co-pumped dispersion compensating fiber as a gain medium for both Brillouin and Raman gains. With a Raman pump of 425 mW, the laser system can generate up to 12 double-spaced Brillouin Stokes signals. This simple laser configuration provides stable Brillouin Stokes signals in the absence of self-lasing cavity modes with a tuning range exceeding 35 nm without using any filtering mechanism. The Stokes signals have more than 20 dB of optical signal-to-noise ratio.  相似文献

对于大功率激光单模光纤远距离传输, 采用传统的受激拉曼散射(SRS)阈值作为注入光纤激光功率值取值过大。本文对单模光纤远距离传输过程中泵浦光和拉曼斯托克斯光(Stokes)光功率随注入光纤激光功率的变化进行仿真与理论分析。根据光纤中SRS产生的机理, 提出以拉曼Stokes光在单模光纤中传输的光功率变化曲线曲率极大值点对应的注入激光功率为限值, 对注入单模光纤光功率限值随着光纤长度变化进行仿真, 通过曲线拟合得出注入单模光纤激光功率限值公式, 并搭建实验系统进行验证。结果表明, 提出的注入单模光纤激光功率限值适用于大功率激光远距离单模光纤传输。  相似文献

We report on the laser performance of a diode-pumped Yb:KGd(WO(4))(2) laser that is passively Q switched with a Cr(4+):YAG saturable absorber. Raman conversion of fundamental laser emission in the laser crystal was demonstrated. Q-switched 3.4-mu;J pulses with a pulse width of 85 ns were obtained at the 1033-nm fundamental wavelength and 0.4-mu;J pulses with a pulse width of 20 ns were produced in a first Stokes at 1139 nm.  相似文献

Broadband normal dispersion pumping supercontinuum (SC) generation in silica photonic crystal fiber (PCF) is investigated in this paper. A 1064-nm picosecond fiber laser is used to pump silica PCF for the SC generation. The length of PCF is optimized for the most efficient stimulated Raman scattering process in the picosecond pump pulse region. The first stimulated Raman Stokes peak is located in the anomalous dispersion regime of the PCF and near the zero dispersion wavelength; thus the SC generation process can benefit from both a normal dispersion pumping scheme and an anomalous dispersion pumping scheme. The 51.7-W SC spanning from about 700 nm to beyond 1700 nm is generated with an all-fiber configuration, and the pump-to-SC conversion efficiency is up to 90%. In order to avoid the output fiber end face damage and increase the stability of the system, an improved output solution for the high power SC is proposed in our experiment. This high-efficiency near-infrared SC source is very suitable for applications in which average output power and spectral power density are firstly desirable.  相似文献

A high-power singlemode Raman fiber laser (RFL) with maximum output power of 4.11 W and maximum power conversion efficiency of 47.40% at 1239 nm is realized using continuous wave 8.4 W Yb-doped double-clad fiber laser as a pump, 700 m phosphosilicate fiber, and a Raman cavity formed by a pair of fiber Bragg grating mirrors at 1239 nm. The output characteristics of the RFL at 1239 nm for different fiber lengths and output mirror reflectance are reported. Theoretical simulation is done to numerically optimize for fiber length and output coupler reflectivity to obtain maximum first Stokes power.  相似文献

为实现具有高脉冲能量的调Q脉冲激光输出,利用微纳光纤-单壁碳纳米管复合的方法制备可饱和吸收体,并对基于该类型可饱和吸收体器件的被动调Q掺镱光纤激光器进行研究。采用拉伸法将普通单模石英光纤拉制成微纳光纤,将其与单壁碳纳米管溶液复合,进一步制备成全光纤集成型器件。将该器件置于环形腔掺镱光纤激光器中,利用976 nm半导体激光器作为抽运源。当抽运功率为53 mW时,实现了调Q脉冲激光输出,激光中心波长为1 039 nm。进一步提升抽运功率至76 mW,可获得脉冲宽度为3.1μs、重复频率为25.5 kHz、单脉冲能量为941nJ的调Q脉冲激光输出。研究表明,利用微纳光纤制备的可饱和吸收体器件具有较高的损伤阈值,可用于实现高脉冲能量的激光输出。  相似文献
