We give a pedagogical survey of those aspects of the abstract representation theory of quantum groups which are related to the Tannaka–Krein reconstruction problem. We show that every concrete semisimple tensor *-category with conjugates is equivalent to the category of finite-dimensional nondegenerate *-representations of a discrete algebraic quantum group. Working in the self-dual framework of algebraic quantum groups, we then relate this to earlier results of S. L. Woronowicz and S. Yamagami. We establish the relation between braidings and R-matrices in this context. Our approach emphasizes the role of the natural transformations of the embedding functor. Thanks to the semisimplicity of our categories and the emphasis on representations rather than corepresentations, our proof is more direct and conceptual than previous reconstructions. As a special case, we reprove the classical Tannaka–Krein result for compact groups. It is only here that analytic aspects enter, otherwise we proceed in a purely algebraic way. In particular, the existence of a Haar functional is reduced to a well-known general result concerning discrete multiplier Hopf *-algebras.  相似文献

Let G be a connected, simply connected complex semisimple Lie group of rank n. The deformations employed by Artin, Schelter and Tate, and Hodges, Levasseur and Toro can be applied to the single parameter quantizations, at roots of unity, of the Hopf algebra of regular functions on G. Each of the resulting complex multiparameter quantum groups F ,p [G] depends on both a suitable root of unity and an antisymmetric bicharacter p: Z n ×Z n C ×. These quantizations differ significantly from their single parameter (root-of-unity) counterparts, and, in particular, may have infinite-dimensional irreducible representations. Our approach to F ,p [G] depends on a natural ×-action thereon, where is an n-torus, and our main result offers a classification of the primitive ideals: We use a multiparameter quantum Frobenius map to provide a bijection from (PrimF ,p [G])/× onto G/H×H, where H is a maximal torus of G. In the single parameter case, this bijection is a consequence of work by De Concini and Lyubashenko, and De Concini and Procesi; our results require their analysis. Our methods also exploit earlier work by Moeglin and Rentschler concerning actions of algebraic groups on complex Noetherian algebras. In contrast to generic quantizations of the coordinate ring of G, the primitive spectrum of F ,p [G] is not finitely stratified by the torus action.  相似文献

Both building upon and revising previous literature, this paper formulates the general notion of a Borel subalgebra B of a quasi-hereditary algebra A. We present various general constructions of Borel subalgebras, establish a triangular factorization of A, and relate the concept to graded Kazhdan–Lusztig theories in the sense of Cline et al. (Tôhoku Math. J. 45 (1993), 511–534). Various interesting types of Borel subalgebras arise naturally in different contexts. For example, `excellent" Borel subalgebras come about by abstracting the theory of Schubert varieties. Numerous examples from algebraic groups, q-Schur algebras, and quantum groups are considered in detail.  相似文献

We study the maximal commutative ring of partial differential operators which includes the quantum completely integrable system defined by the quantum Toda lattice. Kostant shows that the image of the generalized Harish-Chandra homomorphism of the center of the enveloping algebra is commutative (Kostant in Invent. Math. 48:101–184, 1978). We demonstrate the commutativity of the ring of partial differential operators whose principal symbols are -invariant. Our commutative ring includes the commutative system of Kostant (Invent. Math. 48:101–184, 1978). The main tools in this paper are Fourier integral operators and Radon transforms.   相似文献

We review the Kohno–Drinfeld theorem and a conjectural analogue relating quantum Weyl groups to the monodromy of a flat connection C on the Cartan subalgebra of a complex, semi-simple Lie algebra g with poles on the root hyperplanes and values in any g-module V. We sketch our proof of this conjecture for the cases when g=sl n or when g is arbitrary and V is a vector, spin or adjoint representation. We also establish a precise link between the connection C and Cherednik's generalisation of the Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov connection to finite reflection groups.  相似文献

In this paper we study the holomorphic K-theory of a projective variety. This K-theory is defined in terms of the homotopy type of spaces of holomorphic maps from the variety to Grassmannians and loop groups. This theory is built out of studying algebraic bundles over a variety up to algebraic equivalence. In this paper we will give calculations of this theory for flag like varieties which include projective spaces, Grassmannians, flag manifolds, and more general homogeneous spaces, and also give a complete calculation for symmetric products of projective spaces. Using the algebraic geometric definition of the Chern character studied by the authors we will show that there is a rational isomorphism of graded rings between holomorphic K-theory and the appropriate morphic cohomology groups, in terms of algebraic co-cycles in the variety. In so doing we describe a geometric model for rational morphic cohomology groups in terms of the homotopy type of the space of algebraic maps from the variety to the symmetrized loop group U(n)/ n where the symmetric group n acts on U(n) via conjugation. This is equivalent to studying algebraic maps to the quotient of the infinite Grassmannians BU(k) by a similar symmetric group action. We then use the Chern character isomorphism to prove a conjecture of Friedlander and Walker stating that if one localizes holomorphic K-theory by inverting the Bott class, then rationally this is isomorphic to topological K-theory. Finally this will allows us to produce explicit obstructions to periodicity in holomorphic K-theory, and show that these obstructions vanish for generalized flag mani-folds.  相似文献

In this article we summarize the results on algebraic aspects of integrability for polynomial differential systems and its application, which include the Darboux, elementary and Liouvelle integrability. Darboux theory of integrability was found by Darboux in 1878, and it becomes extremely useful in study of the center focus problem, of bifurcation, of limit cycle problem and of global dynamics. The importance of Darboux theory of integrability is also presented by the Singer's theorem for planar polynomial differential system. That is, if a polynomial system is Liouville integrable, then it is Darboux integrable, i.e. the system has a Darboux first integral or a Darboux integrating factor.  相似文献

The n-point correlation functions introduced by Bloch and Okounkov have already found several geometric connections and algebraic generalizations. In this note we formulate a q,t-deformation of this n-point function. The key operator used in our formulation arises from the theory of Macdonald polynomials and affords a vertex operator interpretation. We obtain closed formulas for the n-point functions when n = 1,2 in terms of the basic hypergeometric functions. We further generalize the q,t-deformed n-point function to more general vertex operators.  相似文献

Let be a (small) category and let F:  →  algf be a functor, where algf is the category of finite-dimensional measured algebras over a field k (or Frobenius algebras). We construct a universal Hopf algebra Aaut(F) such that F factorizes through a functor :  →  coalgf(Aaut(F)), where coalgf(Aaut(F)) is the category of finite-dimensional measured Aaut(F)-comodule algebras. This general reconstruction result allows us to recapture a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra A from the category coalgf(A) and the forgetful functor ω: coalgf(A) →  algf: we have A  Aaut(ω). Our universal construction is also done in a C*-algebra framework, and we get compact quantum groups in the sense of Woronowicz.  相似文献

Kostrikin The main problem under discussion is to determine, for quasi-simplegroups of Lie type G, irreducible representations of G thatremain irreducible under reduction modulo the natural primep. The method is new. It works only for p >3 and for representations that can be realized over an unramified extension of Qp, thefield of p -adic numbers. Under these assumptions, the mainresult says that the trivial and the Steinberg representationsof G are the only representations in question provided G isnot of type A1. This is not true for G=SL(2, p). The paper containsa result of independent interest on infinitesimally irrreduciblerepresentations of G over an algebraically closed field ofcharacteristic p. Let A be a unital complex C* algebra, L*(A) the projective symmetric surgery groups, and K*(A) topological K theory. We define groups B*(A) of bordism classes of Fredholm complexes over A with Poincaré duality. These generalize the de Rham complex. It is shown that there are isomorphisms B*(A)K* (A) and B*(A) L*(A) given by abstract versions of the signature operator and symmetric signature. Restrictions of irreducible representations of classical algebraic groups to root A 1-subgroups, i.e., subgroups of type A 1 generated by root subgroups associated with two opposite roots, are studied. Composition factors of such restrictions are found in the following cases: for groups of types A n with n > 2 and D n , for groups of type B n , n > 2, and long root subgroups, for groups of type C n , n > 2, and short root subgroups, and for p-restricted representations of A 2(K), C 2(K) (recall that B 2(K) ? C 2(K)), and of B n (K), n > 2, and short root subgroups.
