Dade's conjecture predicts that if p is a prime, then the number of irreducible characters of a finite group of a given p-defect is determined by local subgroups. In this paper we replace p by a set of primes π and prove a π-version of Dade's conjecture for π-separable groups. This extends the (known) p-solvable case of the original conjecture and relates to a π-version of Alperin's weight conjecture previously established by the authors.  相似文献

It is proved that if M is a profinitely generated -module which is free as a module over the ring of p-adic integers, then M is determined up to free direct factors by its homology. The relation between ?-modules-studied in [MO], [D], [C], [DH], [CM], [Z] and [T]-and Tiltng modules over an arbitrary ring is analyzed. In particular we prove that Tilting modules are exactly the faithful and finendo ?-modules. This answers a question of Trlifaj [T, Problem 1.5], showing that for any ring R the class of ?-modules generating the injectives and that one of Tiltings coincides. As a first application, we give an easy proof of the fact that every faithful ?-module over a finite-dimensional K-algebra is a classical Tilting module (see [DH, Theorem 1]). As a second application, we characterise the Tiltings as those modules which induce an equivalence between two categories with suitable dual properties.  相似文献

We study the class, STAR , of all ?-modules by means of the classes, Sλ, of all ?λ-modules, λ> 0 being a cardinal. Since STAR, equals the intersection of the decreasing chain Sλ, λ > 0, our approach ‘from above’ complements the usual approach ‘from below’ consisting in the study of quasi-progenerators and tilting modules. We present relations between categorical properties of ?-;modules and those of ?-modules. Answering a question of Menini, we use the solution of the Artin's problem to show that the chain Sλ,λ > No, is strictly decreasing in general.  相似文献

In this paper, the Dirac operator on the Klein model for the hyperbolic space is considered. A function space containing L2-functions on the sphere S^m-1 in R^m, which are boundary values of solutions for this operator, is defined, and it is proved that this gives rise to a Hilbert module with a reproducing kernel.  相似文献

In 1960 Hughes and Kleinfeld (Am J Math 82:389–392, 1960) constructed a finite semifield which is two-dimensional over a weak nucleus, given an automorphism σ of a finite field and elements with the property that has no roots in . In 1965 Knuth (J Algebra 2:182–217, 1965) constructed a further three finite semifields which are also two-dimensional over a weak nucleus, given the same parameter set . Moreover, in the same article, Knuth describes operations that allow one to obtain up to six semifields from a given semifield. We show how these operations in fact relate these four finite semifields, for a fixed parameter set, and yield at most five non-isotopic semifields out of a possible 24. These five semifields form two sets of semifields, one of which consists of at most two non-isotopic semifields related by Knuth operations and the other of which consists of at most three non-isotopic semifields.   相似文献

Alperin and Broug have given the p-subpairs in a finite group, and proved that there is a Sylow theorem for p-subpairs. For a π-separable group with π-Hall subgroup nilpotent, we prove that there is a π-Sylow theorem for π-subpairs. Let X be a complex smooth projective variety, and G a locally free sheaf on X. We show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between pairs (Λ, Ξ), where Λ is a sheaf of almost polynomial filtered algebras over X satisfying Simpson’s axioms and \( \equiv :Gr\Lambda \to Sym \bullet _{\mathcal{O}_X } \mathcal{G}\) is an isomorphism, and pairs (L, Σ), where L is a holomorphic Lie algebroid structure on \(\mathcal{G}\) and Σ is a class in F 1 H 2(L, ?), the first Hodge filtration piece of the second cohomology of L.As an application, we construct moduli spaces of semistable flat L-connections for any holomorphic Lie algebroid L. Particular examples of these are given by generalized holomorphic bundles for any generalized complex structure associated to a holomorphic Poisson manifold.  相似文献

We solve the isomorphism problem in the context of abstract algebraic logic and of π-institutions, namely the problem of when the notions of syntactic and semantic equivalence among logics coincide. The problem is solved in the general setting of categories of modules over quantaloids. We introduce closure operators on modules over quantaloids and their associated morphisms. We show that, up to isomorphism, epis are morphisms associated with closure operators. The notions of (semi-)interpretability and (semi-)representability are introduced and studied. We introduce cyclic modules, and provide a characterization for cyclic projective modules as those having a g-variable. Finally, we explain how every π-institution induces a module over a quantaloid, and thus the theory of modules over quantaloids can be considered as an abstraction of the theory of π-institutions.  相似文献
