The experimental works of vibrational spectroscopy and normal coordinate analyses for BCl3, BBr3 and BI3 are reviewed extensively. Harmonic force fields of the E' species are produced using isotopic frequencies and Coriolis constants as additional data, respectively. The usefulness of Keating coordinates versus valence coordinates as basis of force field approximations is discussed. The conclusions are not unequivocal, but they go in favour of the Keating coordinates when the reliability of the different computations is taken into account. Boron trichloride is treated specifically in some detail. Final force fields are proposed for the title molecules with the aid of the mass influence on Coriolis constants.  相似文献

A spectroscopic study is carried out in which the effects of added Ca2+ and Ru4+ transition metal ions on some characteristics of the emission of Gd2O2S : Tb3+ phosphors (energy levels, intensities, lifetimes) are examined and compared. In order to distinguish the Tb3+ emissions from impurity ones, the electronic energy levels of trivalent terbium are determined and the energy level scheme is completed by a crystal field analysis. The optical spectra reveal no terbium doped impurity phase; however, other rare earth ions present as impurities in the starting materials are detected. They are identified, and the influence of the added Ca2+ and Ru4+ on their emission lines is also examined.  相似文献

The current work reports on the influence of the number of laser pulses on the morphological and photoluminescence properties of SrAl2O4:Eu2+,Dy3+ thin films prepared by the pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) was used to study the surface topography and morphology of the films. The AFM data showed that the film deposited using a higher number of laser pulses was packed with a uniform layer of coarse grains. In addition, the surface of this film was shown to be relatively rougher than the films deposited at a lower number of pulses. Photoluminescence (PL) data were collected using the Cary Eclipse fluorescence spectrophotometer equipped with a monochromatic xenon lamp. An intense green photoluminescence was observed at 517 nm from the films prepared using a higher number of laser pulses. Consistent with the PL data, the decay time of the film deposited using a higher number of pulses was characteristically longer than those of the other films. The effects of laser pulses on morphology, topography and photoluminescence intensity of the SrAl2O4:Eu2+,Dy3+ thin films are discussed.  相似文献

Abstract

Star polymers consisting of poly(?‐caprolactone), (PCL), grafted onto third generation dendrimer, which had hyperbranched and dendron cores, were studied by polarized light microscopy together with reference linear PCL. The degree of polymerization of the PCL arms in the star polymers ranged between 14 and 81. The star polymers exhibited a greater tendency than the linear polymers to form spherulites. It is suggested that the preference of the star polymers for forming spherulites is due to the presence of amorphous material—dendritic cores and PCL cilia—between crystal lamellae that generates the necessary pressure to force the lamellae to diverge at lamellar branch points. The linear growth rate data followed a single crystallization regime. The fold surface free energy was higher for the star polymers than for their linear analogs. It is proposed that the presence of the large and rigid dendritic cores on the fold surfaces of the star polymer crystals increases the fold surface energy.  相似文献
