We introduce and study natural two-parameter families of quantum groups motivated on one hand by the liberations of classical orthogonal groups and on the other by quantum isometry groups of the duals of the free groups. Specifically, for each pair (p,q) of non-negative integers we define and investigate quantum groups O+(p,q), B+(p,q), S+(p,q) and H+(p,q) corresponding to, respectively, orthogonal groups, bistochastic groups, symmetric groups and hyperoctahedral groups. In the first three cases the new quantum groups turn out to be related to the (dual free products of ) free quantum groups studied earlier. For H+(p,q) the situation is different and we show that , where the latter can be viewed as a liberation of the classical isometry group of the p-dimensional torus. 相似文献

We consider an infinite dimensional generalization of metaplectic representations (Weil representations) for the (double covering of) symplectic group. Given quasifree states of an infinite dimensional CCR algebra, projective unitary representations of the infinite dimensional symplectic group are constructed via unitary implementors of Bogoliubov automorphisms. We shall show that it is decidable for binary instances of the Post Correspondence Problem whether the instance has an infinite solution. In this context, a binary instance (h,g) consists of two morphisms h and g with a common two element domain alphabet. An infinite solution ω is an infinite word ω=a1a2… such that h(ω)=g(ω). We show that the infinite matroid intersection conjecture of Nash-Williams implies the infinite Menger theorem proved by Aharoni and Berger in 2009.We prove that this conjecture is true whenever one matroid is nearly finitary and the second is the dual of a nearly finitary matroid, where the nearly finitary matroids form a superclass of the finitary matroids.In particular, this proves the infinite matroid intersection conjecture for finite-cycle matroids of 2-connected, locally finite graphs with only a finite number of vertex-disjoint rays. 相似文献

In this paper we develop two types of tools to deal with differentiability properties of vectors in continuous representations π:G→GL(V) of an infinite dimensional Lie group G on a locally convex space V. The first class of results concerns the space V∞ of smooth vectors. If G is a Banach-Lie group, we define a topology on the space V∞ of smooth vectors for which the action of G on this space is smooth. If V is a Banach space, then V∞ is a Fréchet space. This applies in particular to C∗-dynamical systems (A,G,α), where G is a Banach-Lie group. For unitary representations we show that a vector v is smooth if the corresponding positive definite function 〈π(g)v,v〉 is smooth. The second class of results concerns criteria for Ck-vectors in terms of operators of the derived representation for a Banach-Lie group G acting on a Banach space V. In particular, we provide for each k∈N examples of continuous unitary representations for which the space of Ck+1-vectors is trivial and the space of Ck-vectors is dense. 相似文献

A symmetry-based method for constructing solutions to systems of differential equations founded on the reduction of exterior
differential systems invariant under the action of an infinite dimensional pseudogroup is proposed. One can associate to any
system of differential equations Δ=0 with a symmetry group an exterior differential system invariant under so that solutions of Δ=0 correspond to integral manifolds . The -invariant exterior differential system gives rise to a reduced system specified on a cross section to the pseudogroup orbits, and it is shown that solutions to Δ=0 can be reconstructed from integral
manifolds by solving an equation of generalized Lie type for the jets of pseudogroup transformations. In particular, as opposed to
the classical method of symmetry reduction, every solution to the system of differential equations can, under some mild regularity
assumptions, be constructed by the present algorithm.

Word maps on a group are defined by substitution of formal words. Lubotzky gave a characterization of the images of word maps in finite simple groups, and a consequence of his characterization is the existence of a group G such that the image of some word map on G is not closed under inversion. We show that there are only two groups with order less than 108 with the property that there is a word map with image not closed under inversion. We also study this behavior in nilpotent groups. 相似文献
