A class of parabolic initial-boundary value problems is considered, where admissible coefficients are given in certain intervals. We are looking for maximal values of the solution with respect to the set of admissible coefficients. We give the abstract general scheme, proposing how to solve such problems with uncertain data. We formulate a general maximization problem and prove its solvability, provided all fundamental assumptions are fulfilled. We apply the theory to certain Fourier obstacle type maximization problem.  相似文献

We show that if an irregular multi-generated wavelet system forms a frame, then both the time parameters and the logarithms of scale parameters have finite upper Beurling densities, or equivalently, both are relatively uniformly discrete. Moreover, if generating functions are admissible, then the logarithms of scale parameters possess a positive lower Beurling density. However, the lower Beurling density of the time parameters may be zero. Additionally, we prove that there are no frames generated by dilations of a finite number of admissible functions.

For charged three-body systems, we discuss the configurations and orientations that are admissible for given values of the conserved total energy and angular momentum. The admissible configurations and orientations are discussed on a configuration space that is reduced by the translational, rotational and dilation symmetries of charged three-body systems. We consider the examples of the charged three-body systems given by the helium atom (two electrons and a nucleus) and the compound of two electrons and one positron. For comparison, the well known example of the Newtonian gravitational three-body system is discussed for the scheme presented in this paper first.  相似文献

We introduce the concept of a Σ-bounded algebraic system and prove that if a system is Σ- bounded with respect to a subset A then in a hereditarily finite admissible set over this system there exists a universal Σ-function for the family of functions definable by Σ-formulas with parameters in A. We obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a universal Σ-function in a hereditarily finite admissible set over a Σ-bounded algebraic system. We prove that every linear order is a Σ-bounded system and in a hereditarily finite admissible set over it there exists a universal Σ-function.  相似文献

We define new parameters, a zero interval and a dual zero interval, of subsets in P- or Q-polynomial association schemes. A zero interval of a subset in a P-polynomial association scheme is a successive interval index for which the inner distribution vanishes, and a dual zero interval of a subset in a Q-polynomial association scheme is a successive interval index for which the dual inner distribution vanishes. We derive bounds of the lengths of a zero interval and a dual zero interval using the degree and dual degree respectively, and show that a subset in a P-polynomial association scheme (resp. a Q-polynomial association scheme) having a large length of a zero interval (resp. a dual zero interval) induces a completely regular code (resp. a Q-polynomial association scheme). Moreover, we consider the spherical analogue of a dual zero interval.  相似文献

An association scheme is called skew-symmetric if it has no symmetric adjacency relations other than the diagonal one. In this paper, we investigate 4-class skew-symmetric association schemes. In recent work by the first author it was discovered that their character tables fall into three types. We now determine their intersection matrices. We then determine the character tables for 4-class skew-symmetric pseudocyclic association schemes, the only known examples of which are cyclotomic schemes. As a result, we answer a question raised by S.Y. Song in 1996. We characterize and classify 4-class imprimitive skew-symmetric association schemes. We also prove that none of 2-class Johnson schemes admits a 4-class skew-symmetric fission scheme. Based on three types of character tables above, a short list of feasible parameters is generated.  相似文献

We study the problem of guaranteed positional guidance of a linear partially observable control system with distributed parameters to a convex target set at a given time. The problem is considered under incomplete information. More precisely, we assume that the system is subjected to an unknown disturbance; in addition, the initial state is assumed to be unknown as well. Further, the sets of admissible disturbances and the set of admissible initial states, which is assumed to be finite, are known. An algorithm for solving the problem is suggested.  相似文献

We consider a class of scalar linear differential equations with several variable delays and constant coefficients. We treat the coefficients and maximum admissible values of delays as parameters that define a family of equations of the considered class. Using the necessary and sufficient stability conditions established in preceding papers, we obtain an analytic form and a geometric interpretation of boundaries of stability domains for families of equations with a small number of independent parameters.  相似文献

We discuss the admissible parameter space for some state space models, including the models that underly exponential smoothing methods. We find that the usual parameter restrictions (requiring all smoothing parameters to lie between 0 and 1) do not always lead to stable models. We also find that all seasonal exponential smoothing methods are unstable as the underlying state space models are neither reachable nor observable. This instability does not affect the forecasts, but does corrupt the state estimates. The problem can be overcome with a simple normalizing procedure. Finally we show that the admissible parameter space of a seasonal exponential smoothing model is much larger than that for a basic structural model, leading to better forecasts from the exponential smoothing model when there is a rapidly changing seasonal pattern.  相似文献

We study the nonhomogeneous boundary value problem for the steady Magnetohydrodynamic equations in a two-dimensional bounded domain with multiply connected boundary. We prove that this problem has an admissible solution in an admissible domain if the boundary value is admissible. The proof of the main result uses some property for a weak solution to the transport equations in an admissible domain.  相似文献

If the Visser rules are admissible for an intermediate logic, they form a basis for the admissible rules of the logic. How to characterize the admissible rules of intermediate logics for which not all of the Visser rules are admissible is not known. In this paper we give a brief overview of results on admissible rules in the context of intermediate logics. We apply these results to some well-known intermediate logics. We provide natural examples of logics for which the Visser rule are derivable, admissible but nonderivable, or not admissible. As a continuation of my paper [T. Fujisaki, A construction of amorphous association scheme from a pseudo-cyclic association scheme, Discrete Math. 285(1–3) (2004) 307–311], we show a construction of amorphous association scheme which is a fusion scheme of a direct product of two pseudo-cyclic association schemes with same first eigenmatrix. By using this construction, we can get at most three amorphous association scheme. We prove that if two pseudo-cyclic association scheme are non-isomorphic, then these three amorphous association schemes are mutually non-isomorphic.  相似文献

We consider a class of scalar linear differential equations with several variable delays and constant coefficients. We treat coefficients and maximum admissible values of delays as parameters that define a family of equations from the class under consideration. We study domains in the parameter space, where fundamental solutions of all equations of the family are uniformly or exponentially stable and have a fixed sign. We establish explicit necessary and sufficient conditions for the stability and sign-definiteness of the equations family.  相似文献
