A effective continuous-wave (CW), high power laser generated using a YVO4/Nd:YVO4 composite crystal is presented. 18.8 W output power in multi-mode has been achieved with a maximum absorbed pump power of 31.2 W, corresponding to an optical-to-optical efficiency of 60.26%. In TEM00 mode operation, 15.1 W output power also has been achieved with the maximum absorbed pump power of 31.2 W, corresponding to an optical-to-optical efficiency of 47.69%. With a 200 mm focal-length positive lens and using the moving knife-edge method, the beam quality factor is measured to be M2 = 1.2 for TEM00 mode beam. 相似文献

通过优化平-凹-平三镜折叠腔结构设计,利用大功率半导体激光器侧面抽运、Ⅱ类相位匹配KTP晶体腔内倍频,获得高效高功率连续绿色激光输出.当抽运电流约为36 A时,得到最高36.6 W的连续绿光激光输出,对应的光—光转换效率为8.71%.在输出功率33 W时测量激光功率稳定性,其功率不稳定度为0.27%.用刀口法测量了激光器高输出功率时的光束质量,光束质量因子小于8.对高功率抽运情况下三镜折叠腔的像散补偿、失调灵敏度和基模在腔内分布情况做了数值模拟.

We present a CW intracavity frequency-doubled TEM(00) Nd:YVO(4) laser oscillator pumped at 888 nm, producing 62W of green light at 532 nm with M(2)=1.05 and RMS noise of 0.05%, thanks to the simultaneous oscillation of a large number of longitudinal modes. A diode-to-green optical efficiency of 29% is achieved by the use of a noncritically phase-matched lithium triborate crystal inserted in a periodic resonator containing two Nd:YVO(4) crystals pumped with a total of 211W at 888 nm. 相似文献

We reported a cavity-dumped operation of electro-optical Q-switched Nd:GdVO4 laser at high repetition rates for the first time. A constant 5.5 ns pulse duration was realized. An efficient compact diode-pumped actively Q-switched Nd:GdVO4 laser at 1521 nm is demonstrated by use of the nonlinear optical process of stimulated Raman scattering. With a 13.6-W diode pump power, greater than 1.18 W of 1521-nm average power at a repetition rate of 20 kHz is generated. At a repetition rate of 5 kHz, the pulse width is shorter than 5 ns and the peak power is higher than 20 kW. 相似文献

In this paper, we present a laser-diode (LD) bar end-pumped Nd:YVO4 slab laser, which uses a simple coupling system and a compact quasi-concentric resonator (QCR). A TEM00 output was obtained with a pump width varied from 2.57 to 9.44 mm and the slope efficiency is kept at about 48%. Under 40-W pumping, a maximum TEM00 output of 15.84 W was achieved and the optical-to-optical efficiency was 39.6% correspondingly. 相似文献

为了获得高功率窄脉宽532 nm绿光激光输出,通过高重复频率声光驱动调Q技术和LD侧面泵浦Nd∶GdVO4技术,获得高功率线偏振1 064 nm激光输出.采用内腔倍频方式,对非线性晶体KTP进行频率变换,实现高功率窄脉宽绿光激光输出.在电源输入电流30 A,调Q驱动频率10 kHz的条件下,获得最高功率30 W线偏振1 064 nm激光输出,脉宽30 ns,倍频KTP晶体获得23.4 W的532 nm绿光输出,1 064 nm到532 nm转化效率为78%.实验结果表明:通过声光调Q技术和LD侧面泵浦Nd∶GdVO4技术,可以实现高功率线偏振窄脉宽1 064 nm激光输出,倍频非线性晶体KTP可获得高功率窄脉宽532 nm激光. 相似文献

208-W average-power TEM(00) -mode operation from a diode-pumped Nd:YAG rod laser was demonstrated. The side-pumping method of generating a high-gain aberration-free rod, the bifocusing-compensation technique with two identically pumped rods, and a suitable choice of beam spot size were employed in the design of this laser. At the maximum pump power of 1.1 kW the fundamental transverse-mode operation (M(2)<1.1) was characterized by 7.6% electrical efficiency. The extraction efficiency was almost 60% of full multimode operation. Stable operation was obtained within a pump-power range of 15% of the maximum pump power. 相似文献

A method to characterize the thermal lens in a Nd:GdVO4 self-Raman laser is presented. The thermal focal length was measured to be as short as 180 mm with a self-Raman laser output power of 0.95 W. For comparison, the thermal focal lengths in the cases of fundamental operation and first-Stokes operation were measured experimentally, indicating that the heat generated in the SRS process exacerbated the thermal loading of the Nd:GdVO4 crystal. 相似文献

We present what we believe to be the first true three-level laser based on a Nd-doped crystal. From the 4F3/24I9/2 laser transition, the lower laser level being the ground state, emission at 879 nm in NdGdVO4 has been obtained with diode pumping. Up to 0.8 W of power has been achieved in cw operation and 24 microJ per pulse (35 ns) in the Q-switched regime. Intracavity second-harmonic generation in the pulsed regime is also demonstrated with 17 8 mW of average output power at 439.5 nm, corresponding to an energy of 17microJ per pulse. 相似文献

An efficient tunable diode-pumped Nd:GdVO4 laser at 1083 nm has been constructed by suppressing the higher gain transition near 1063 nm. With 12.5 W diode pump power, the free-running output power centered about 1083 nm was up to 3.4 W, corresponding to an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 30.1%. 3/2 laser level decreases the number of emission lines and creates -together with the anisotropic crystal field - high emission cross sections (7.6 × 10–19 cm2 at 1.06 µm and 300 K). In addition, the lines are strongly homogeneously broadened (1.6 nm for the 808.4 nm diode-laser pump transition). The temperature dependences of lifetime, linewidths, and cross sections have been determined. Slope efficiencies up to 57% with respect to the absorbed diode-laser pump power and output powers up to 0.8 W have been achieved at 1.06 µm from a 2 mm long crystal. We propose a technique for pumping Nd:YVO(4) with high optical power at 888nm while making absorption independent of the pump light polarization state. This is especially suitable for systems end pumped by high-power, high-brightness fiber-coupled diode sources associated with long vanadate crystals to effectively spread the heat load in a large volume.
