We obtain the natural diagonal almost product and locally product structures on the total space of the cotangent bundle of a Riemannian manifold. Studying the compatibility and the anti-compatibility relations between the determined structures and a natural diagonal metric, we find the Riemannian almost product (locally product) and the (almost) para-Hermitian cotangent bundles of natural diagonal lift type. Finally, we prove the characterization theorem for the natural diagonal (almost) para-Kählerian structures on the total space of the cotangent bundle.  相似文献

In this paper we study a Riemannian metric on the tangent bundle T(M) of a Riemannian manifold M which generalizes Sasaki metric and Cheeger–Gromoll metric and a compatible almost complex structure which confers a structure of locally conformal almost K?hlerian manifold to T(M) together with the metric. This is the natural generalization of the well known almost K?hlerian structure on T(M). We found conditions under which T(M) is almost K?hlerian, locally conformal K?hlerian or K?hlerian or when T(M) has constant sectional curvature or constant scalar curvature. Then we will restrict to the unit tangent bundle and we find an isometry with the tangent sphere bundle (not necessary unitary) endowed with the restriction of the Sasaki metric from T(M). Moreover, we found that this map preserves also the natural contact structures obtained from the almost Hermitian ambient structures on the unit tangent bundle and the tangent sphere bundle, respectively. We characterize two-point homogeneous spaces, locally symmetric spaces, C and B-spaces via properties of the standard contact metric structure of their unit tangent sphere bundle. Further, under various conditions on a Riemannian manifold, we show that its unit tangent sphere bundle is a (locally) homogeneous contact metric space if and only if the manifold itself is (locally) isometric to a two-point homogeneous space.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider some generalization of maximally movable spaces of Finsler type. Among them, there are locally conic spaces (Riemannian metrics of their tangent spaces are realized on circular cones) and generalized Lagrange spaces with Tamm metrics (their tangent Riemannian spaces admit all rotations). On the tangent bundle of a Riemannian manifold, we study a special class of almost product metrics, generated Tamm metric. This class contains Sasaki metric and Cheeger–Gromol metric. We determine the position of this class in the Naveira classification of Riemannian almost product metrics.  相似文献

We study in a unified way the \((\alpha ,\varepsilon )\)-structures of general natural lift type on the tangent bundle of a Riemannian manifold. We characterize the general natural \(\alpha \)-structures on the total space of the tangent bundle of a Riemannian manifold, and provide their integrability conditions (the base manifold is a space form and some involved coefficients are rational functions of the other ones). Then, we characterize the two classes (with respect to the sign of \(\alpha \varepsilon \)) of \((\alpha ,\varepsilon )\)-structures of general natural type on TM. The class \(\alpha \varepsilon =-1\) is characterized by some proportionality relations between the coefficients of the metric and those of the \(\alpha \)-structure, and in this case, the structure is almost Kählerian if and only if the first proportionality factor is the derivative of the second one. Moreover, the total space of the tangent bundle is a Kähler manifold if and only if it depends on three coefficients only (two coefficients of the integrable \(\alpha \)-structure and a proportionality factor).  相似文献

For the cotangent bundle TQ of a smooth Riemannian manifold acted upon by the lift of a smooth and proper action by isometries of a Lie group, we characterize the symplectic normal space at any point. We show that this space splits as the direct sum of the cotangent bundle of a linear space and a symplectic linear space coming from reduction of a coadjoint orbit. This characterization of the symplectic normal space can be expressed solely in terms of the group action on the base manifold and the coadjoint representation. In [11] we have considered a family of natural almost anti-Hermitian structures (G, J) on the tangent bundle TM of a Riemannian manifold (M, g), where the semi-Riemannian metric G is a lift of natural type of g to TM, such that the vertical and horizontal distributions VTM, HTM are maximally isotropic and the almost complex structure J is a usual natural lift of g of diagonal type interchanging VTM, HTM (see [5], [15]). We have obtained the conditions under which this almost anti-Hermitian structure belongs to one of the eight classes of anti-Hermitian manifolds obtained in the classification given in [1]. In this paper we consider another semi-Riemannian metric G on TM such that the vertical and horizontal distributions are orthogonal to each other. We study the conditions under which the above almost complex structure J defines, together with G, an almost anti-Hermitian structure on TM. Next, we obtain the conditions under which this structure belongs to one of the eight classes of anti-Hermitian manifolds obtained in the classification in [1].Partially supported by the Grant 100/2003, MECT-CNCSIS, România.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce horizontal and vertical warped product Finsler manifolds. We prove that every C-reducible or proper Berwaldian doubly warped product Finsler manifold is Riemannian. Then, we find the relation between Riemannian curvatures of doubly warped product Finsler manifold and its components, and consider the cases that this manifold is flat or has scalar flag curvature. We define the doubly warped Sasaki-Matsumoto metric for warped product manifolds and find a condition under which the horizontal and vertical tangent bundles are totally geodesic. We obtain some conditions under which a foliated manifold reduces to a Reinhart manifold. Finally, we study an almost complex structure on the tangent bundle of a doubly warped product Finsler manifold.  相似文献

We survey on the geometry of the tangent bundle of a Riemannian manifold, endowed with the classical metric established by S. Sasaki 60 years ago. Following the results of Sasaki, we try to write and deduce them by different means. Questions of vector fields, mainly those arising from the base, are related as invariants of the classical metric, contact and Hermitian structures. Attention is given to the natural notion of extension or complete lift of a vector field, from the base to the tangent manifold. Few results are original, but finally new equations of the mirror map are considered.  相似文献

The complete lift of a Riemannian metric g on a differentiable manifold M is not 0-homogeneous on the fibers of the tangent bundle TM. In this paper we introduce a new kind of lift G of g, which is 0-homogeneous. It determines a pseudo-Riemannian metric on ${\widetilde {TM}}$ , which depends only on the metric g. We obtain the Levi-Civita connection of this metric and study conformal vector fields on ( ${\widetilde {TM},G}$ ). Finally, we introduce the almost product and complex structures which preserve homogeneity and study certain geometrical properties of these structures.  相似文献

The geodesic flow of a Riemannian metric on a compact manifold Q is said to be toric integrable if it is completely integrable and the first integrals of motion generate a homogeneous torus action on the punctured cotangent bundle T * Q\Q. If the geodesic flow is toric integrable, the cosphere bundle admits the structure of a contact toric manifold. By comparing the Betti numbers of contact toric manifolds and cosphere bundles, we are able to provide necessary conditions for the geodesic flow on a compact, connected 3-dimensional Riemannian manifold to be toric integrable.Mathematics Subject Classifications (2000): primary 53D25; secondary 53D10  相似文献

We give the characterizations for the general natural anti-Hermitian structures on the cotangent bundles, which are in the eight classes obtained by Ganchev and Borisov. Considering an anti-Hermitian structure of natural diagonal type on the cotangent bundle, we construct examples for every class of anti-Hermitian structures.  相似文献
