The formation dynamics of crossed-beam photorefractive gratings formed by the method of two-center holographic recording in doubly doped LiNbO3 crystals is investigated in this paper based on the theoretical model combining the two-center band transport model with the two-dimensional coupled-wave theory. The numerical simulations are presented for two-center holographic recording crossed-beam photorefractive gratings in LiNbO3:Fe:Mn crystals. The temporal and spatial evolutions of the refractive index modulation and the diffraction efficiency are shown. The spatial variation of the wave intensity is also presented.  相似文献

The results of holographic gratings recording in 29, 15 and 8 nm thick As2S3 films are presented in the paper. The method is based on the interference of surface-propagating evanescent waves, created by total internal reflection. The condition for successful recording is the penetration depth of these inhomogeneous waves to be greater than the films thickness. In this case, the film’s refractive index does not affect the total internal reflection (TIR) condition and could be greater than the input glass prism. The experimentally obtained low diffraction efficiencies by this holographic recording technique is due to the very low refractive index modulation, but the good signal-to-noise ratio - better than 50:1 and Bragg-type diffraction are a base for future applications of this grating formation method in nanotechnology.  相似文献

We use holographic techniques for the investigation of strongly oxidized LiNbO3:Fe crystals with small Fe2+ concentrations and compare the results with theoretical predictions. Experimental evidence is presented for enhanced phase shifts between light intensity pattern and refractive index grating and for limitations of optically induced space charge fields in photovoltaic crystals due to the low concentration of filled traps. Our findings do not support the model of a nonlocal photovoltaic effect in LiNbO3.  相似文献

A series of LiNbO3 crystals doped with various concentrations of ZnO and fixed concentrations of RuO2 and Fe2O3 have been grown by the Czochralski method from the congruent melts. The type of charge carriers was determined by Kr+ laser (476 nm) and He–Ne laser (633 nm). The results revealed that the holes were the dominant charge carriers at blue light irradiation. Dual-wavelength and two-color techniques were employed to investigate the nonvolatile holographic storage properties of Ru:Fe:LiNbO3 and Zn doped Ru:Fe:LiNbO3 crystals. The essential parameters of blue nonvolatile holographic storage in Zn:Ru:Fe:LiNbO3 crystals were enhanced greatly with the increase of Zn concentration. This indicates that the damage resistant dopants Zn2+ ions enhance the photorefractive properties at 476 nm wavelength instead of suppressing the photorefraction. The different mechanisms of blue photorefractive and nonvolatile holographic storage properties by dual wavelength recording in Zn:Ru:Fe:LiNbO3 crystals were discussed.  相似文献

根据光致聚合物记录机理,研究了不同记录方式对光栅衍射效率的影响.对已有的光致聚合物光栅形成的一阶扩散模型进行简化,求解出全息曝光、暗增长、均匀后曝光过程对应的折射率调制度的解析式.应用所得解析结果,对三种记录方式在不同光强下的折射率调制度动态进行数值模拟.采用蓝敏光致聚合物,分别在4 mW/cm~2和2 mW/cm~2光强下应用不同方式记录光栅,结果表明:如果曝光光强较高,暗增长的记录方式将获得相对高的饱和折射率调制度,而均匀后曝光会加速达到饱和的进程.  相似文献

对光折变全息记录特别是双中心全息记录中90°记录结构下较低的衍射效率进行了研究,采用局域衍射理论对90°记录结构的衍射进行了分析,表明在同样的折射率变化和2 mm的光束宽度的情况下,只有当折射率光栅振幅大于10^-4时,90°记录结构衍射效率才能够与小角度透射记录结构的衍射效率大致相当。针对环境干扰导致的干涉条纹振动影响光栅记录,提出了有效调制度概念,根据分析90°记录结构的干涉条纹间距很小,容易受外界环境干扰而导致低的折射率变化率,因此应采用主动条纹锁定系统。此外在双中心全息记录中,微观光学参量的优化对衍射效率影响也很重要。  相似文献

The effects of material and experimental parameters on the nonvolatile two-color holographic recording space charge field and sensitivity for different doped LiNbO3:Fe crystals have been studied theoretically based on a two-center model. When the direct electron transfer between the deep-trap centers and the shallow-trap centers was considered, the near-stoichiometric LiNbO3:Fe is confirmed theoretically to be of bigger space charge field and higher recording sensitivity than the LiNbO3:Fe:Mn and LiNbO3:Cu:Ce in the low intensity region. A further improvement of the recording sensitivity can be achieved by doping concentration, thermal reduction treatment of Fe, appropriate gating and recording wavelengths with large photo-excitation cross sections.  相似文献

研究了光聚物高密度全息存储材料在全息记录过程中曝光量、曝光时间、厚度收缩比例、折射率调制度及记录角度等因素对布喇格偏移的影响规律,结果表明:曝光量一定时,布喇格偏移与曝光时间的关系不大,当曝光量不一定时布喇格偏移随曝光时间增加缓慢增加最后达到饱和;而布喇格偏移随厚度收缩比例和折射率调制度的增加以接近正比例的关系增加;记录光栅的倾斜度越大则布喇格偏移也越大.这些结论对光聚物高密度全息存储研究具有重要的意义.  相似文献

In this paper experimental studies of nonvolatile photorefractive holographic recording in Ce:Cu:LiNbO3 crystals doped with Sc(0,1,2,3 mol%) were carried out. The Sc:Ce:Cu:LiNbO3 crystals were grown by the Czochralski method and oxidized in Nb2O5 powders. The nonvolatile holographic recording in Sc:Ce:Cu:LiNbO3 crystals was realized by the two-photon fixed method. We found that the recording time of Sc:Ce:Cu:LiNbO3 crystal became shorter with the increase of Sc doping concentration, especially doping with Sc(3 mol%), which exceeds the so-called threshold, and there was little loss of nonvolatile diffraction efficiencies between Sc(3 mol%):Ce:Cu:LiNbO3 and Ce:Cu:LiNbO3 crystals.  相似文献

A series of Mg:Ce:Cu:LiNbO3 crystals has been grown by Czochralski method. Their infrared transmittance spectra and ultraviolet-visible absorption spectra were measured and discussed to investigate their defect structure. The nonvolatile holographic recording of Mg:Ce:Cu:LiNbO3 crystals was characterized by the two-photon fixed method. We found that the recording time of Mg:Ce:Cu:LiNbO3 crystals became shorter and nonvolatile diffraction efficiency decreases with the increase of Mg doping concentration, especially doping with Mg approaches and exceeds the so-called threshold. And the nonvolatility vanishes when the concentration of MgO exceeds 4 mol%. The intrinsic and extrinsic defects were discussed to explain the nonvolatile holographic properties in the Mg:Ce:Cu:LiNbO3 crystals.  相似文献

提出了一种在双掺杂铌酸锂晶体中用调制的双紫外光进行非挥发全息记录的方法。与通常的用紫外光敏化的非挥发全息记录相比,这种方法可以大幅度地提高光栅强度和记录灵敏度。联立双中心物质方程和双光束耦合波方程,数值分析了光栅强度和衍射效率随时间的变化并讨论了掺杂浓度和记录光强对紫外光非挥发全息记录机制下光折变效应的影响。研究发现,紫外光记录得到的深浅中心的光栅具有相同的相位,总的光栅(深浅中心光栅的叠加)强度为两光栅强度之和,固定过程中深中心的光栅得到增强;增大深浅中心掺杂的浓度可以提高光栅强度,增大记录紫外光的光强可以增加光栅的强度和记录灵敏度。理论模拟可以证实并预测实验结果。  相似文献

为使非水溶性红敏光致聚合物材料的全息性能得到改善,采用复合光敏增感、复合引发和复合单体的方法反复对比实验,改善后体系的灵敏度为0.02 cm2/mJ,衍射效率高达83%,计算得到材料的最大折射率调制度为4.1×10-3.实验结果和理论分析表明,利用该材料制作的新型全息光栅具有损耗低、通道宽度窄、衍射效率高等优点,适于制作光通信中的波分复用器及各种光学元件.  相似文献

An analysis is made of the nonlinear relaxation of the charge formed in a photoconducting material as a result of the absorption of a light pulse. Calculations are made of the distribution profiles of the excess carriers and the density of the photoinduced charge in various transport regimes. The influence of contact phenomena on the dynamics of the space charge is examined and solutions are obtained for boundary conditions corresponding to a blocking contact with an illuminated electrode and optical breakdown of the contact. An investigation is made of the evolution of the integral pulse response under transverse electrooptic modulation. The results are suitable for analyzing two geometric recording systems for entering information into a space-time light modulator with arbitrary absorption and for recording a holographic grating in the limit of low absorption coefficients. Diffraction-efficiency measurements are compared with the microphotometric determination of the intensity pattern at the exit face of a LiNbO3-sample during the holographic recording process. The special advantage of the microphotometric method is the possibility to determine phase shifts of the refractive index grating and of the light intensity pattern simultaneously and independently. Both quantities are very important for an understanding of dynamical effects during the holographic writing process. Furthermore, direct experimental evidence for the change of the modulation degree, i.e. the change of the contrast of the light pattern writing the grating, has been found. This change is caused by a Moiré-like effect which is closely related to the energy transfer between writing beams.  相似文献

The near-infrared nonvolatile holographic recording has been realized in a doubly doped LiNbO3:Fe:Rh crystal by the traditional two-center holographic recording scheme, for the first time. The recording performance of this crystal has been investigated by recording with 633 nm red light, 752 nm red light and 799 nm near-infrared light and sensitizing with 405 nm purple light. The experimental results show that, co-doped with Fe and Rh, the near-infrared absorption and the photovoltaic coefficient of shallow trap Fe are enhanced in this LiNbO3:Fe:Rh crystal, compared with other doubly doped LiNbO3 crystals such as LiNbO3:Fe:Mn. It is also found that the sensitizing light intensity affects the near-infrared recording sensitivity in a different way than two-center holographic recording with shorter wavelength, and the origin of experimental results is analyzed.  相似文献

A theoretical investigation is made of the field structure in a holographic grating formed by TE0 modes in a planar photorefractive waveguide by the photogalvanic recording mechanism. Waveguides with three characteristic refractive index profiles are considered, namely, a step function, a parabola, and a hyperbolic secant squared. A comparison is made between the light field distributions of TE0 modes in waveguides having the different profiles. The field structure of the space charge in planar holographic gratings is analyzed for their initial formation phase. It is shown that the space charge field has a similar structure for all three waveguide types considered when planar photorefractive gratings are recorded by TE0 modes.Institute of Automated Control Systems and Radio Electronics, Tomsk. Anisotropic diffractive gratings formed by birefringent molecular alignment are fabricated by a holographic technique using a photo-cross-linkable liquid crystalline copolymer (PLCCP). Depending on the exposure energy used for holographic recording, bright or dark regions of the interference fringe can be chosen for the molecular-aligned region, analogous to positive- and negative-type photoresist processing in photolithography. In conjunction with simultaneously generated surface relief gratings, the anisotropic refractive index modulation inherent in the PLCCP film exhibits different diffraction properties depending on the incident beam polarization. The anisotropic refractive index grating profiles are quantitatively presented for two cases determined by the exposure energy, based on the Fourier analysis of diffractive optics. The selection of different grating formations selected by varying only the exposure energy could provide a strategy for the fabrication of functionalized diffractive optical elements.  相似文献

Thick holographic refractive index gratings are written in nominally pure and in iron doped BaTiO3 crystals. The phase shift between refractive index grating and light pattern is studied as a function of an externally applied electric field by a direct phase shift measuring technique. The choice of the method is suggested by a theoretical analysis which allows for the effect of a nonlinear relation between photoconductivity and light intensity on the holographic writing process.  相似文献

We present a recent development in holography with multimode, large free-spectral range (FSR) diode lasers in photorefractive sillenite crystals. A novel refractometry method based on this type of holographic recording in Bi12TiO20 (BTO) crystals is proposed. The holographic image of a prism-shaped transparent sample appears covered of interference fringes, and as the sample is properly translated, the fringes run along the holographic image. An expression providing the refractive index of the medium as a function of the sample displacement and the correspondent number of running fringes was derived. The refractive indexes of optical (BK7) glass, ethanol, hexan, cumene and aqueous solution of NaCl with different concentrations were measured in order to test the method. The obtained results are in good agreement with the ones reported in literature or measured by us using a commercial Abbe refractometre.  相似文献
