We study the exponential sums involving l:burmr coeffcients ot Maass forms and exponential functions of the form e(anZ), where 0 ≠ α∈R and 0 〈 β 〈 1. An asymptotic formula is proved for the nonlinear exponential sum ∑x〈n≤2x λg(n)e(αnβ), when β = 1/2 and |α| is close to 2√ q C Z+, where Ag(n) is the normalized n-th Fourier coefficient of a Maass cusp form for SL2 (Z). The similar natures of the divisor function 7(n) and the representation function r(n) in the circle problem in nonlinear exponential sums of the above type are also studied.  相似文献

We show that the multiple divisor functions of integers in invertible residue classes modulo a prime number, as well as the Fourier coefficients of GL(N) Maass cusp forms for all \({N \geq 2}\) , satisfy a central limit theorem in a suitable range, generalizing the case N = 2 treated by Fouvry et al. (Commentarii Math Helvetici, 2014). Such universal Gaussian behaviour relies on a deep equidistribution result of products of hyper-Kloosterman sums.  相似文献

In this article we present an integrative framework of knowledge for teaching the standard algorithms of the four basic arithmetic operations. The framework is based on a mathematical analysis of the algorithms, a connectionist perspective on teaching mathematics and an analogy with previous frameworks of knowledge for teaching arithmetic operations with rational numbers. In order to evaluate the potential applicability of the framework to task design, it was used for the design of mathematical learning tasks for teachers. The article includes examples of the tasks, their theoretical analysis, and empirical evidence of the sensitivity of the tasks to variations in teachers’ knowledge of the subject. This evidence is based on a study of 46 primary school teachers. The article concludes with remarks on the applicability of the framework to research and practice, highlighting its potential to encourage teaching the four algorithms with an emphasis on conceptual understanding.  相似文献

In this paper, we study multiple existence of solutions of an elliptic system on a flat torus arising from the self-dual Maxwell-Chern-Simons O(3) sigma model. Using the Leray-Schauder degree, we find an explicit range of κ and q for which we have at least two vortex-antivortex solutions. For vortex solutions, we provide a complete picture of the range of κ and q for multiple existence of solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, we considered the multiple rogue wave solutions of a (3+1)-dimensional Hirota bilinear equation by using a symbolic computation approach. Based on the bilinear form of this equation, the first-order rogue waves, the second-order rogue waves and the third-order rogue waves are presented. We explored and specialized new Lie infinitesimals for the (3 + 1)-dimensional B-Kadomtsev-Petviashvii (BKP) using the commutation product, which results a system of nonlinear ODEs manually solved. Through two stages of Lie symmetry reduction, (3 + 1)-dimensional BKP equation is reduced to nonsolvable nonlinear ODEs using various combinations of optimal Lie vectors. Using the integration and Riccati equation methods, we investigate new analytical solutions for these ODEs. Back substituting to the original variables generates new solutions for BKP. In this paper, the one- and two-periodic wave solutions for the (3+1)-dimensional Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation are presented by means of the Hirota’s bilinear method and the Riemann theta function. In this article, we present a strategy of using rectangular and triangular Bézier surface patches for nonelement representation of 3D boundary geometries for problems of linear elasticity. The boundary generated in this way is directly incorporated in the parametric integral equation system (PIES), which has been developed by the authors. The boundary values on each surface patch are approximated by Lagrange polynomials. Under investigation in this paper is a generalized (3+1)-dimensional variable-coefficient B-type Kadomtsev–Petviashvili equation, which describes the propagation of nonlinear waves in fluid dynamics. Periodic wave solutions are constructed by virtue of the Hirota–Riemann method. Based on the extended homoclinic test approach, breather and rogue wave solutions are obtained. Moreover, through the symbolic computation, the relationship between the one-periodic wave solutions and one-soliton solutions has been analytically discussed, and it is shown that the one-periodic wave solutions approach the one-soliton solutions when the amplitude η0.  相似文献
