The temperature dependences of the magnetic properties and the magnetoimpedance effect of soft magnetic nanocrystalline Fe73.5Si16.5B6Nb3Cu1 alloy ribbons are studied in the temperature range 24–160°C. A high temperature sensitivity of the impedance and the magnetoimpedance effect of the ribbons are detected in the ac frequency range 0.1–50 MHz. At an ac frequency of 50 MHz, the change in the impedance reaches 0.2 Ω/°C (0.5%/°C) in the temperature range 85–160°C. When the temperature increases, a monotonically decreasing character of the dependence of the magnetoimpedance effect on the applied magnetic field changes into a dependence having an increasing initial segment. The effect of temperature on the magnetoimpedance properties of the soft magnetic nanocrystalline ribbons is shown to result from temperature-induced changes in their electrical conductivity, magnetization, and effective magnetic anisotropy.  相似文献

The structure and magnetic properties and the magnetoimpedance effect of nanocrystalline Fe73.5Si16.5B6Nb3Cu1 alloy ribbons, obtained from the amorphous state by annealing under different conditions, were comparatively analyzed. Despite the similarity of the samples’ structural states and the processes of their quasi-static magnetization reversal, the features of the magnetoimpedance effect are indicative of significant differences in the processes of their dynamic magnetization.  相似文献

The effect of temperature and elastic tensile stresses on the magnetoimpedance of an amorphous Vitrovac 6025Z (Fe4CO67Mo1.5Si16.5B11) foil is studied. Two temperature ranges (20–70 and 70–220°C) in which the effect of elastic tensile stresses on the magnetoimpedance has different characters are detected. The existence of these two temperature ranges is shown to be caused by a change in the sign of a magnetostriction constant at 70°C.  相似文献

“Zero field”-Mössbauer and magnetization measurements have been performed on an amorphous Fe76Mo8Cu1B15 alloy in the temperature range of (10-340) K. The room-temperature Mössbauer spectrum exhibits magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole interactions. At approximately 306 K, the magnetic interactions vanish and the alloy shows fully paramagnetic behavior. On the other hand, the relative representation of paramagnetic component becomes weak with decreasing temperature and below 220 K the magnetic dipole interactions prevail. Below this temperature an anomaly in the low-temperature dependencies of ac susceptibility and of magnetization, measured during cooling the specimen from 340 K down to 20 K is observed. The anomaly on the magnetization curve vanishes in the field of 200 Oe.  相似文献

The effect of a magnetic field on the temperature dependence of thermal expansion of Ni2.08Mn0.96Ga0.96 alloy in the range of structural-phase transformation is investigated. It is found that, when the sample is cooled in a magnetic field with an intensity of 110 kA/m, it shortens by 0.21% more strongly than upon cooling in the absence of the magnetic field. The additional shortening of the sample under the action of the magnetic field depends on the intensity of the magnetic field applied to the sample.  相似文献

In this paper we report structural, magnetic and transport properties of strongly textured Ni51Mn36Sn13 thin films. The off-stoichiometric Heusler alloy films with 200 nm thickness were sputter-deposited on a MgO(100) substrate at 500 K and after annealed at 1000 K in UHV conditions. The textured growth was confirmed by x-ray diffraction in Bragg-Brentano geometry. The temperature dependence of the magnetic properties was measured by VSM and FMR methods. The electron transport measurements were carried out in function of temperature in 0 Oe and 50 kOe fields. All measurements corroborate the existence of the martensitic transformation in the film. Furthermore, transport measurements reveal an influence of the magnetic field on the transition temperature.  相似文献

The field and temperature dependences of magnetization and the temperature dependences of the initial magnetic susceptibility have been theoretically studied for three crystallographic directions in a trigonal NdFe3(BO3)4 antiferromagnetic crystal. The calculations were performed using a molecular field approximation and a crystal field model for the rare-earth subsystem. The obtained theoretical expressions are applied to the interpretation of recent experimental data [1–4] on the magnetic properties of NdFe3(BO3)4. The results of calculations show a good agreement with experiment. The proposed theory adequately describes (i) anomalies of the Schottky type in the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility, (ii) nonlinear curves of magnetization in the basal plane in a magnetic field up to 1 T (showing evidence of the first-order phase transitions) and their evolution with the temperature, and (iii) the field and temperature dependences of magnetization in a magnetic field up to 9 T.  相似文献

Two successive magnetocaloric effects consisting of inverse magnetocaloric effect around martensitic transition and negative magnetocaloric effect around magnetic transition of austenitic phase have been observed in Ni50Mn34In15Al alloy. Large inverse magnetic entropy change ΔSm ( ~ 21.3 J kg?1 K?1), small thermal and magnetic hysteresis of martensitic transition give rise of large net refrigerant capacity ( ~ 152.3 J kg?1) under a magnetic field of 50 kOe, which is comparable with that ( ~ 157.9 J kg?1) of second-order transition. The large combined magnetocaloric effects make the Ni50Mn34In15Al alloy as a promising candidate material for room temperature magnetic refrigeration.  相似文献

The work presents data on the microhardness, average grain size, lattice parameters, and phase composition of Cu57Be43 metal alloy, annealed at a temperature of ~350°С for 1 h in a constant magnetic field with the intensity ranging from 80.0 to 557.0 kA/m. The main observed regularities of changes in the structure and properties of the material during annealing in a constant magnetic field and without it are formulated.  相似文献

The magnetic properties of (CH3NH3)2CuBr4 quasi-two-dimensional crystals were studied experimentally. The magnetic-field and temperature dependences of magnetization were measured for various magnetic field orientations relative to the crystallographic axes. Possible reasons for features in the behavior of the magnetization are discussed.  相似文献

The magnetic properties of an easy-axis trigonal DyFe3(BO3)4 antiferromagnetic crystal have been theoretically studied. On this basis, recent experimental data [1] on the field and temperature dependences of magnetization and the temperature dependence of the initial magnetic susceptibility for three crystallographic directions in this antiferromagnet have been interpreted. The characteristics of the trigonal crystal field for the rare earth ion and the parameters of the Fe-Fe and Fe-Dy exchange interactions are determined. Limitations imposed by features of the magnetic characteristics (anisotropic magnetization in the three crystallographic directions, Schottky-type anomalies in the magnetic susceptibility, etc.) on the possible splitting of the ground-state multiplet in the crystal field and the splitting of the lowest doublet due to the f-d interaction for Dy3+ ions are established.  相似文献

The results of neutron diffraction studies of the La0.70Sr0.30MnO2.85 compound and its behavior in an external magnetic field are stated. It is established that in the 4–300 K temperature range, two structural perovskite phases coexist in the sample, which differ in symmetry (groups R[`3]cR\bar 3c and I4/mcm). The reason for the phase separation is the clustering of oxygen vacancies. The temperature (4–300 K) and field (0–140 kOe) dependences of the specific magnetic moment are measured. It is found that in zero external field, the magnetic state of La0.70Sr0.30MnO2.85 is a cluster spin glass, which is the result of frustration of Mn3+-O-Mn3+ exchange interactions. An increase in external magnetic field up to 10 kOe leads to fragmentation of ferromagnetic clusters and then to an increase in the degree of polarization of local spins of manganese and the emergence of long-range ferromagnetic order. With increasing magnetic field up to 140 kOe, the magnetic ordering temperature reaches 160 K. The causes of the structural and magnetic phase separation of this composition and formation mechanism of its spin-glass magnetic state are analyzed.  相似文献

Magnetic and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) properties of EuFe3(BO3)4 single crystals have been studied over the temperature range of 300–4.2 K and in a magnetic field up to 5 T. The temperature, field and orientation dependences of susceptibility, magnetization and EPR spectra are presented. An antiferromagnetic ordering of the Fe subsystem occurs at about 37 K. The easy direction of magnetization perpendicular to the c axis is determined by magnetic measurements. Below 10 K, we observe an increase of susceptibility connected with the polarization of the Eu sublattice by an effective exchange field of the ordered Fe magnetic subsystem. In a magnetic field perpendicular to the c axis, we have observed an increase of magnetization at T < 10 K in the applied magnetic field, which can be attributed to the appearance of the magnetic moment induced by the magnetic field applied in the basal plane. According to EPR measurements, the distance between the maximum and minimum of derivative of absorption line of the Lorentz type is equal to 319 Gs. The anisotropy of g-factor and linewidth is due to the influence of crystalline field of trigonal symmetry. The peculiarities of temperature dependence of both intensity and linewidth are caused by the influence of excited states of europium ion (Eu3+). It is supposed that the difference between the g-factors from EPR and the magnetic measurements is caused by exchange interaction between rare earth and Fe subsystems via anomalous Zeeman effect.  相似文献

The binary icosahedral Zr80Pt20 system has been synthesized during the crystallization of an initially amorphous alloy fabricated by melt quenching on the surface of a rotating copper wheel. The temperature and field dependences of the electrical resistivity and magnetoresistivity of the icosahedral and amorphous phases are studied and compared in a temperature range of 1.5–300 K and magnetic fields up to 8 T. Superconductivity has been detected for the first time in the icosahedral and amorphous phases of the Zr80Pt20 system. For both phases, the magnetoresistivity is positive and depends anomalously on the magnetic field. The anomalous behavior of magnetoresistivity is satisfactorily described by the theory of weak localization and electron-electron interaction in three-dimensional disordered systems, which takes into account electron scattering by superconducting fluctuations. The absolute values and temperature dependences of the electron-electron interaction constant and the times of inelastic scattering of conduction electrons are estimated for the icosahedral and amorphous phases of this binary system.  相似文献

The magnetization, the electrical resistivity, the specific heat, the thermal conductivity, and the thermal diffusion of a polycrystalline Heusler alloy Ni45.37Mn40.91In13.72 sample are studied. Anomalies, which are related to the coexistence of martensite and austenite phases and the change in their ratio induced by a magnetic field and temperature, are revealed and interpreted. The behavior of the properties of the alloy near Curie temperature TC also demonstrates signs of a structural transition, which suggests that the detected transition is a first-order magnetostructural phase transition. The nontrivial behavior of specific heat detected near the martensite transformation temperatures is partly related to a change in the electron density of states near the Fermi level. The peculiar peak of phonon thermal conductivity near the martensitic transformation is interpreted as a consequence of the appearance of additional soft phonon modes, which contribute to the specific heat and the thermal conductivity.  相似文献

The magnetic and electric properties of a Cd0.90Mn0.10GeAs2 solid solution with the chalcopyrite structure have been investigated in wide temperature and field ranges. It has been found that a metamagnetic transition from a low-magnetization state to a high-magnetization one is initiated in Cd0.90Mn0.10GeAs2 near the magnetic ordering temperature. This transition is accompanied by the hysteresis of magnetic properties. An external magnetic field at temperatures above T C also induces the metamagnetic transition. When the temperature increases above T C, the magnetization jump decreases, whereas fields inducing the metamagnetic transition increase. The band character of magnetism and metamagnetism in the effective magnetic field is assumed on the basis of the behavior of magnetization in the metamagnetic transition and analysis of the band structure of the solid solution of cadmium-germanium diarsenide with manganese.  相似文献

The magnetic and magnetodielectric properties of Ho0.5Nd0.5Fe3(BO3)4 ferroborate with the competing Ho–Fe and Nd–Fe exchange couplings have been experimentally and theoretically investigated. Step anomalies in the magnetization curves at the spin-reorientation transition induced by the magnetic field Bc have been found. The spontaneous spin-reorientation transition temperature TSR ≈ 8 K has been refined. The measured magnetic properties and observed features are interpreted using a single theoretical approach based on the molecular field approximation and calculations within the crystal field model of the rare-earth ion. Interpretation of the experimental data includes determination of the crystal field parameters for Ho3+ and Nd3+ ions in Ho0.5Nd0.5Fe3(BO3)4 and parameters of the Ho–Fe and Nd–Fe exchange couplings.  相似文献

(La0.7Sr0.3MnO3) x /(YBa2Cu3O7) y composites were prepared by mixing La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 powders and the sol–gel-derived YBa2Cu3O7 matrix, followed by high-temperature calcinations. Their structural, magnetic properties and magnetoresistance effect have been investigated systematically. A giant positive magnetoresistance (PMR) at low magnetic field is observed at low temperatures. In the case of (La0.7Sr0.3MnO3)1/(YBa2Cu3O7)9 composite, the PMR achieves 260% under a magnetic field of 5800 Oe. However, the PMR value sharply decreases with increasing temperature and no magnetoresistance effects are found above metal-insulator transition temperature. The enhancement of spin-dependent scattering at the grain boundaries should be responsible for the observed PMR. In addition, the temperature dependence of resistance under magnetic field could be explained by the competition between diamagnetism and paramagnetism in YBCO phase. At low temperature, the diamagnetism is predominant over paramagnetism and the interface scattering between LSMO grains is enhanced correspondingly. As a result, the low-temperature resistance increases and large PMR appears.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the ac magnetic susceptibility of a single-crystal mixed rare-earth garnet Er2HoAl5O12 has been investigated within the range from 1.8 to 300 K in a zero constant field and in applied bias fields of up to 9 T. In the absence of a constant magnetic field the magnetic susceptibility followed the Curie–Weiss law. The application of a constant magnetic field caused a magnetic phase transition, the temperature of which increased with increasing magnetic field. The temperature of the maximum of the ac magnetic susceptibility, which is a characteristic of the phase transition, did not show a noticeable dependence on the frequency of the alternating magnetic field.  相似文献

Comparative studies of physical characteristics (the electrical resistivity, the magnetic susceptibility, the magnetization, the bending deformation, and the degree of shape recovery during subsequent heating) of the Ni54Mn21Ga25 ferromagnetic alloy as-cast and rapidly quenched from melt have been performed in the temperature range 2–400 K. The results are compared to the results of studying the structural–phase transformations by transmission and scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. It is found that the rapid quenching influences the microstructure, the magnetic state, the critical temperatures, and the specific features of thermoelastic martensite transformations in the alloy. It is found that the resource of the alloy plasticity and thermomechanical bending cyclic stability demonstrates a record-breaking increase in the intercritical temperature range and during subsequent heating.  相似文献
