Under some technical assumptions it is shown that the Hausdorff dimension of the harmonic measure on the limit set of a conformal infinite iterated function system is strictly less than the Hausdorff dimension of the limit set itself if the limit set is contained in a real-analytic curve, if the iterated function system consists of similarities only, or if this system is irregular. As a consequence of this general result the same statement is proven for hyperbolic and parabolic Julia sets, finite parabolic iterated function systems and generalized polynomial-like mappings. Also sufficient conditions are provided for a limit set to be uniformly perfect and for the harmonic measure to have the Hausdorff dimension less than 1. Some results in the spirit of Przytycki et al. (Ann. of Math.130 (1989), 1-40; Stud. Math.97 (1991), 189-225) are obtained.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

We consider a certain family of CIFSs of the generalized complex continued fractions with a complex parameter space. We show that for each CIFS of the family, the Hausdorff measure of the limit set of the CIFS with respect to the Hausdorff dimension is zero and the packing measure of the limit set of the CIFS with respect to the Hausdorff dimension is positive (main result). This is a new phenomenon of infinite CIFSs which cannot hold in finite CIFSs. We prove the main result by showing some estimates for the unique conformal measure of each CIFS of the family and by using some geometric observations.  相似文献

We explore the class of elliptic functions whose critical points all contained in the Julia set are non-recurrent and whose ω-limit sets form compact subsets of the complex plane. In particular, this class comprises hyperbolic, subhyperbolic and parabolic elliptic maps. Leth be the Hausdorff dimension of the Julia set of such an elliptic functionf. We construct an atomlessh-conformal measurem and show that theh-dimensional Hausdorff measure of the Julia set off vanishes unless the Julia set is equal to the entire complex plane ℂ. Theh-dimensional packing measure is positive and is finite if and only if there are no rationally indifferent periodic points. Furthermore, we prove the existence of a (unique up to a multiplicative constant) σ-finitef-invariant measure μ equivalent tom. The measure μ is shown to be ergodic and conservative, and we identify the set of points whose open neighborhoods all have infinite measure μ. In particular, we show that ∞ is not among them. We study the partial regularity of weak solutions to the 2-dimensional LandauLifshitz equations coupled with time dependent Maxwell equations by Ginzburg-Landau type approximation. Outside an energy concentration set of locally finite 2-dimensional parabolic Hausdorff measure, we prove the uniform local C ∞ bounds for the approaching solutions and then extract a subsequence converging to a global weak solution of the Landau-Lifshitz-Maxwell equations which are smooth away from finitely many points.  相似文献

We extend both the weak separation condition and the finite type condition to include finite iterated function systems (IFSs) of injective C 1 conformal contractions on compact subsets of \mathbbRd{{\mathbb{R}}^d} . For conformal IFSs satisfying the bounded distortion property, we prove that the finite type condition implies the weak separation condition. By assuming the weak separation condition, we prove that the Hausdorff and box dimensions of the attractor are equal and, if the dimension of the attractor is α, then its α-dimensional Hausdorff measure is positive and finite. We obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for the associated self-conformal measure μ to be singular. By using these we give a first example of a singular invariant measure μ that is associated with a non-linear IFS with overlaps.  相似文献

It is proved that the Hausdorff measure on the limit set of a finite conformal iterated function system is strongly extremal, meaning that almost all points with respect to this measure are not multiplicatively very well approximable. This proves Conjecture 10.6 from (on fractal measures and Diophantine approximation, preprint, 2003). The strong extremality of all (S,P)-invariant measures is established, where S is a finite conformal iterated function system and P is a probability vector. Both above results are consequences of the much more general Theorem 1.5 concerning Gibbs states of Hölder families of functions.  相似文献

Let J be the limit set of an iterated function system in \(\mathbb {R}^d\) satisfying the open set condition. It is well known that the h-dimensional packing measure of J is positive and finite when h is given by Hutchinson’s formula. However, it may be hard to find a formula for the h-dimensional packing measure of J. We introduce the super separation condition and use it to reduce the problem of computing the packing measure to checking densities of a finite number of balls around each point in the limit set. We then use this fact to find formulas for the packing measure of a class of Cantor sets in \(\mathbb {R}\), a class of fractals based on regular convex polygons in \(\mathbb {R}^2\), and a class of fractals based on regular simplexes in \(\mathbb {R}^d\) for \(d \ge 3\).  相似文献

In this paper, under the open set condition we have determined the lower and upper bounds of the Hausdorff dimensions and the upper box-counting dimensions of the limit sets of hyperbolic recurrent iterated function systems in terms of the unique zeros h and H of the two pressure functions. In addition, we have estimated the bounds of h, H-dimensional Hausdorff and packing measures. The result in this paper generalizes existing results about fractal dimensions of many other iterated function systems.  相似文献

Consider a nontrivial smooth solution to a semilinear elliptic system of first order with smooth coefficients defined over an n-dimensional manifold. Assume the operator has the strong unique continuation property. We show that the zero set of the solution is contained in a countable union of smooth (n−2)-dimensional submanifolds. Hence it is countably (n−2)-rectifiable and its Hausdorff dimension is at most n−2. Moreover, it has locally finite (n−2)-dimensional Hausdorff measure. We show by example that every real number between 0 and n−2 actually occurs as the Hausdorff dimension (for a suitable choice of operator). We also derive results for scalar elliptic equations of second order. Oblatum 22-V-1998 & 26-III-1999 / Published online: 10 June 1999  相似文献

We study the singular set of free interface in an optimal partition problem for the Dirichlet eigenvalues. We prove that its upper (n − 2) -dimensional Minkowski content, and consequently its (n − 2) -dimensional Hausdorff measure, are locally finite. We also show that the singular set is countably (n − 2) -rectifiable; namely, it can be covered by countably many C1 -manifolds of dimension (n − 2) , up to a set of (n − 2) -dimensional Hausdorff measure zero. Our results hold for optimal partitions on Riemannian manifolds and harmonic maps into homogeneous trees as well. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

We describe the fractal structure of expanding meromorphic maps of the form , where H and Q are rational functions whose most transparent examples are among the functions of the form with . In particular we show that depending upon whether the Hausdorff dimension of the Julia set is greater or less than 1, the finite non-zero geometric measure is provided by the Hausdorff or packing measure. In order to describe this fractal structure we introduce and explore in detail Walters expanding conformal maps and jump-like conformal maps. We study parameterized families of orthogonal projections for which the dimension of the parameter space is strictly less than that of the Grassmann manifold. We answer the natural question of how much the Hausdorff dimension may decrease by verifying the best possible lower bound for the dimension of almost all projections of a finite measure. We also show that a similar result is valid for smooth families of maps from the n-dimensional Euclidean space to the m-dimensional one.  相似文献

We consider the set of Hausdorff dimensions of limit sets of finite subsystems of an infinite conformal iterated function system and refer to it as the restricted dimension set. The corresponding set for all subsystems will be referred to as the complete dimension set. We give sufficient conditions for a point to belong to the complete dimension set and consequently to be an accumulation point of the restricted dimension set. We also give sufficient conditions on the system for both sets to be nowhere dense in some interval. Both general results are illustrated by examples. Applying the first result to the case of continued fraction we are able to prove the Texan Conjecture, that is we show that the set of Hausdorff dimensions of bounded type continued fraction sets is dense in the unit interval.  相似文献

Moreover, we show that there exists a uniqueR-invariant measure onJ(R) equivalent to H h .  相似文献

The characteristics of cookie-cutter sets in ℝd are investigated. A Bowen's formula for the Hausdorff dimension of a cookie-cutter set in terms of the pressure function is derived. The existence of self-similar measures, conformal measures and Gibbs measures on cookie-cutter sets is proved. The dimension spectrum of each of these measures is analyzed. In addition, the locally uniformly α-dimensional condition and the fractal Plancherel Theorem for these measures are shown. Finally, the existence of order-two density for the Hausdorff measure of a cookie-cutter set is proved. This project is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.  相似文献

The Average Density of Self-Conformal Measures   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The paper calculates the average density of the normalized Hausdorffmeasure on the fractal set generated by a conformal iteratedfunction system. It equals almost everywhere a positive constantgiven by a truncated generalized s-energy integral, where sis the corresponding Hausdorff dimension. As a main tool a conditionalGibbs measure is determined. The appendix proves an appropriateextension of Birkhoff's ergodic theorem which is also of independentinterest.  相似文献

The study of the geometry of n-uniform measures in \(\mathbb {R}^{d}\) has been an important question in many fields of analysis since Preiss’ seminal proof of the rectifiability of measures with positive and finite density. The classification of uniform measures remains an open question to this day. In fact there is only one known example of a non-trivial uniform measure, namely 3-Hausdorff measure restricted to the Kowalski–Preiss cone. Using this cone one can construct an n-uniform measure whose singular set has Hausdorff dimension \(n-3\). In this paper, we prove that this is the largest the singular set can be. Namely, the Hausdorff dimension of the singular set of any n-uniform measure is at most \(n-3\).  相似文献

The paper extends the rigidity of the mixing expanding repellers theorem of D. Sullivan announced at the 1986 IMC. We show that, for a regular conformal, satisfying the Open Set Condition, iterated function system of countably many holomorphic contractions of an open connected subset of a complex plane, the Radon–Nikodym derivative d/dm has a real-analytic extension on an open neighbourhood of the limit set of this system, where m is the conformal measure and is the unique probability invariant measure equivalent with m. Next, we introduce the concept of nonlinearity for iterated function systems of countably many holomorphic contractions. Several necessary and sufficient conditions for nonlinearity are established. We prove the following rigidity result: If h, the topological conjugacy between two nonlinear systems F and G, transports the conformal measure m F to the equivalence class of the conformal measure m G , then h has a conformal extension on an open neighbourhood of the limit set of the system F. Finally, we prove that the hyperbolic system associated to a given parabolic system of countably many holomorphic contractions is nonlinear, which allows us to extend our rigidity result to the case of parabolic systems.  相似文献
