Kostka functions K_(λ,μ)~±(t), indexed by r-partitions λ and μ of n, are a generalization of Kostka polynomials K_(λ,μ)(t) indexed by partitions λ,μ of n. It is known that Kostka polynomials have an interpretation in terms of Lusztig's partition function. Finkelberg and Ionov(2016) defined alternate functions K_(λ,μ)(t) by using an analogue of Lusztig's partition function, and showed that K_(λ,μ)(t) ∈Z≥0[t] for generic μ by making use of a coherent realization. They conjectured that K_(λ,μ)(t) coincide with K_(λ,μ)~-(t). In this paper, we show that their conjecture holds. We also discuss the multi-variable version, namely, r-variable Kostka functions K_(λ,μ)~±(t_1,…,t_r).  相似文献

We investigate some problems for truncated Toeplitz operators. Namely, the solvability of the Riccati operator equation on the set of all truncated Toeplitz operators on the model space K θ = H2ΘθH2 is studied. We study in terms of Berezin symbols invertibility of model operators. We also prove some results for the Berezin number of the truncated Toeplitz operators. Moreover, we study some property for H2-functions in terms of noncyclicity of co-analytic Toeplitz operators and hypercyclicity of model operators.  相似文献

We investigate the approximation rate for certain centered Gaussian fields by a general approach. Upper estimates are proved in the context of so–called Hölder operators and lower estimates follow from the eigenvalue behavior of some related self–adjoint integral operator in a suitable L 2(μ)–space. In particular, we determine the approximation rate for the Lévy fractional Brownian motion X H with Hurst parameter H∈(0,1), indexed by a self–similar set T?? N of Hausdorff dimension D. This rate turns out to be of order n ?H/D (log?n)1/2. In the case T=[0,1] N we present a concrete wavelet representation of X H leading to an approximation of X H with the optimal rate n ?H/N (log?n)1/2.  相似文献

Let G be a 2-edge-connected simple graph on n vertices. For an edge e = uvE(G), define d(e) = d(u) + d(v). Let F denote the set of all simple 2-edge-connected graphs on n ≥ 4 vertices such that GF if and only if d(e) + d(e’) ≥ 2n for every pair of independent edges e, e’ of G. We prove in this paper that for each GF, G is not Z 3-connected if and only if G is one of K 2,n?2, K 3,n?3, K 2,n?2 + , K 3,n?3 + or one of the 16 specified graphs, which generalizes the results of X. Let B^H,K : (B^H,K(t), t ∈R+^N} be an (N,d)-bifractional Brownian sheet with Hurst indices H = (H1,..., HN) ∈ (0, 1)^N and K = (K1,..., KN)∈ (0, 1]^N. The characteristics of the polar functions for B^H,K are investigated. The relationship between the class of continuous functions satisfying the Lipschitz condition and the class of polar-functions of B^H,K is presented. The Hausdorff dimension of the fixed points and an inequality concerning the Kolmogorov's entropy index for B^H,K are obtained. A question proposed by LeGall about the existence of no-polar, continuous functions statisfying the Holder condition is also solved.  相似文献

Let B(H) be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on a complex Hilbert space H and A(H) ? B(H) be a standard operator algebra which is closed under the adjoint operation. Let F: A(H)→ B(H) be a linear mapping satisfying F(AA*A) = F(A)A*A + Ad(A*)A + AA*d(A) for all AA(H), where the associated linear mapping d: A(H) → B(H) satisfies the relation d(AA*A) = d(A)A*A + Ad(A*)A + AA*d(A) for all AA(H). Then F is of the form F(A) = SA ? AT for all AA(H) and some S, TB(H), that is, F is a generalized derivation. We also prove some results concerning centralizers on A(H) and semisimple H*-algebras.  相似文献

Let μ be a Radon measure on Rd which may be non–doubling. The only condition satisfied by μ is that μ(B(x, r)) ≤ Cr n for all x ∈ ? d , r > 0 and some fixed 0 < nd. In this paper, the authors prove that the boundedness from H 1(μ) into L 1,(μ) of a singular integral operator T with Calderón–Zygmund kernel of Hörmander type implies its L 2(μ)–boundedness.  相似文献

Let μ be a nonnegative Borel measure on R d satisfying that μ(Q) ? l(Q)n for every cube Q ? R n , where l(Q) is the side length of the cube Q and 0 < n ? d.We study the class of pairs of weights related to the boundedness of radial maximal operators of fractional type associated to a Young function B in the context of non-homogeneous spaces related to the measure μ. Our results include two-weighted norm and weak type inequalities and pointwise estimates. Particularly, we give an improvement of a two-weighted result for certain fractional maximal operator proved in W.Wang, C. Tan, Z. Lou (2012).  相似文献

Let #K be a number of integer lattice points contained in a set K. In this paper we prove that for each d ∈ N there exists a constant C(d) depending on d only, such that for any origin-symmetric convex body K ? R d containing d linearly independent lattice points
$$\# K \leqslant C\left( d \right)\max \left( {\# \left( {K \cap H} \right)} \right)vo{l_d}{\left( K \right)^{\frac{{d - m}}{d}}},$$
where the maximum is taken over all m-dimensional subspaces of R d . We also prove that C(d) can be chosen asymptotically of order O(1) d d d?m . In particular, we have order O(1) d for hyperplane slices. Additionally, we show that if K is an unconditional convex body then C(d) can be chosen asymptotically of order O(d) d?m .

We consider a self-adjoint matrix elliptic operator A ε, ε > 0, on L 2(R d ;C n ) given by the differential expression b(D)*g(x/ε)b(D). The matrix-valued function g(x) is bounded, positive definite, and periodic with respect to some lattice; b(D) is an (m × n)-matrix first order differential operator such that mn and the symbol b(ξ) has maximal rank. We study the operator cosine cos(τA ε 1/2 ), where τ ∈ R. It is shown that, as ε → 0, the operator cos(τA ε 1/2 ) converges to cos(τ(A 0)1/2) in the norm of operators acting from the Sobolev space H s (R d ;C n ) (with a suitable s) to L 2(R d ;C n ). Here A 0 is the effective operator with constant coefficients. Sharp-order error estimates are obtained. The question about the sharpness of the result with respect to the type of the operator norm is studied. Similar results are obtained for more general operators. The results are applied to study the behavior of the solution of the Cauchy problem for the hyperbolic equation ? τ 2 u ε (x, τ) = ?A ε u ε (x, τ).  相似文献

Let G = (V,A) be a digraph and k ≥ 1 an integer. For u, vV, we say that the vertex u distance k-dominate v if the distance from u to v at most k. A set D of vertices in G is a distance k-dominating set if each vertex of V D is distance k-dominated by some vertex of D. The distance k-domination number of G, denoted by γ k (G), is the minimum cardinality of a distance k-dominating set of G. Generalized de Bruijn digraphs G B (n, d) and generalized Kautz digraphs G K (n, d) are good candidates for interconnection networks. Denote Δ k := (∑ j=0 k d j )?1. F. Tian and J. Xu showed that ?nΔ k ? γ k (G B (n, d)) ≤?n/d k? and ?nΔ k ? ≤ γ k (G K (n, d)) ≤ ?n/d k ?. In this paper, we prove that every generalized de Bruijn digraph G B (n, d) has the distance k-domination number ?nΔ k ? or ?nΔ k ?+1, and the distance k-domination number of every generalized Kautz digraph G K (n, d) bounded above by ?n/(d k?1+d k )?. Additionally, we present various sufficient conditions for γ k (G B (n, d)) = ?nΔ k ? and γ k (G K (n, d)) = ?nΔ k ?.  相似文献

We consider a self-adjoint elliptic operator Aε, ε> 0, on L2(Rd; Cn) given by the differential expression b(D)*g(x/ε)b(D). Here \(b(D) = \sum\nolimits_{j = 1}^d {b_j D_j }\) is a first-order matrix differential operator such that the symbol b(ξ) has maximal rank. The matrix-valued function g(x) is bounded, positive definite, and periodic with respect to some lattice. We study the operator exponential \({e^{ - i\tau {A_\varepsilon }}}\), where τ ∈ R. It is shown that, as ε → 0, the operator \({e^{ - i\tau {A_\varepsilon }}}\) converges to \({e^{ - i\tau {A^0}}}\) in the norm of operators acting from the Sobolev space Hs(Rd;Cn) (with suitable s) to L2(Rd;Cn). Here A0 is the effective operator with constant coefficients. Order-sharp error estimates are obtained. The question about the sharpness of the result with respect to the type of the operator norm is studied. Similar results are obtained for more general operators. The results are applied to study the behavior of the solution of the Cauchy problem for the Schrödinger-type equation i?τuε(x, τ) = Aεuε(x, τ).  相似文献

Let K be a field of characteristic p>0 and let f(t 1,…,t d ) be a power series in d variables with coefficients in K that is algebraic over the field of multivariate rational functions K(t 1,…,t d ). We prove a generalization of both Derksen’s recent analogue of the Skolem–Mahler–Lech theorem in positive characteristic and a classical theorem of Christol, by showing that the set of indices (n 1,…,n d )∈? d for which the coefficient of \(t_{1}^{n_{1}}\cdots t_{d}^{n_{d}}\) in f(t 1,…,t d ) is zero is a p-automatic set. Applying this result to multivariate rational functions leads to interesting effective results concerning some Diophantine equations related to S-unit equations and more generally to the Mordell–Lang Theorem over fields of positive characteristic.  相似文献

Any (measurable) function K from Rn to R defines an operator K acting on random variables X by K(X) = K(X1,..., Xn), where the Xj are independent copies of X. The main result of this paper concerns continuous selectors H, continuous functions defined in Rn and such that H(x1, x2,..., xn) ∈ {x1, x2,..., xn}. For each such continuous selector H (except for projections onto a single coordinate) there is a unique point ωH in the interval (0, 1) so that, for any random variable X, the iterates H(N) acting on X converge in distribution as N → ∞ to the ωH-quantile of X.  相似文献

Assume that K +: H ?T ? is a bounded operator, where H ? and T ? are Hilbert spaces and ρ is a measure on the space H ?. Denote by ρK the image of the measure ρ under K +. We study the measure ρK under the assumption that ρ is the spectral measure of a Jacobi field and obtain a family of operators whose spectral measure is equal to ρK. We also obtain an analog of the Wiener-Itô decomposition for ρK. Finally, we illustrate the results obtained by explicit calculations carried out for the case, where ρK is a Lévy noise measure.  相似文献

We consider an operator Aε on L2(\({\mathbb{R}^{{d_1}}} \times {T^{{d_2}}}\)) (d1 is positive, while d2 can be zero) given by Aε = ?div A(ε?1x1,x2)?, where A is periodic in the first variable and smooth in a sense in the second. We present approximations for (Aε ? μ)?1 and ?(Aε ? μ)?1 (with appropriate μ) in the operator norm when ε is small. We also provide estimates for the rates of approximation that are sharp with respect to the order.  相似文献

We show that, given a family of discs centered at a chord-arc curve, the analytic capacity of a union of subsets of these discs (one subset in each disc) is comparable with the sum of their analytic capacities. However, we need the discs in question to be separated, and it is not clear whether the separation condition is essential. We apply this result to find families {μj} of measures in ? with the following property. If the Cauchy integral operators \({C_{{\mu _j}}}\) from L2(μj) to itself are bounded uniformly in j, then Cμ, μ = Σμj, is also bounded from L2(μ) to itself.  相似文献
