FT-Raman spectra were collected from fossil resins originating from a variety of geographical locations. The spectral profiles of most of the fossil resins could be related to modern resins containing diterpenoid components with predominantly labdane skeletons. The spectra collected from the fossil resin sample from Borneo differed from other fossil resins and was found to contain triterpenoid components. The differences in the spectral profile of fossil resins containing diterpenoid components are shown to relate to differences in level of maturation rather than geographical origin. FT-Raman spectra of fossil resins cannot be used to distinguish source although the degree of maturation can be used as an indicator to narrow the range of possible geographical origins.  相似文献

The adsorption of extracted and purified samples of asphaltenes and resins onto gold surfaces has been studied as a function of bulk concentration using a quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation measurements (QCM-D). With this device, which works equally well in transparent, opaque, and nontransparent samples, the adsorbed amount is measured through a change in resonant frequency of the quartz oscillator. The measured change in dissipation reports on changes in layer viscoelasticity and slip of the solvent at the surface. The results show that the adsorbed amount for resins from heptane corresponds to a rigidly attached monolayer. The adsorbed amount decreases with increasing amount of toluene in the solvent and is virtually zero in pure toluene. Asphaltenes, on the other hand, adsorb in large quantities and the mass and dissipation data demonstrate the presence of aggregates on the surface. The aggregates are firmly attached and cannot be removed by addition of resins. On the other hand, resins and asphaltenes associate in bulk liquid and the adsorption from mixtures containing both resins and asphaltenes is markedly different from that obtained from the pure components. Hence, we conclude that preformed resin aggregates adsorb to the surface. These results are compared and discussed in relation to adsorption from crude oil diluted in heptane/toluene mixtures.  相似文献

Resins from diphenols with an aromatic ring as side group, phosgene, and a triphenol as crosslinking agent were synthesized under phase transfer conditions. The resins obtained with a phase transfer catalyst showed higher thermal stability than those obtained without catalyst. The function of the catalyst is to transport triphenol from the aqueous phase to the organic phase. The thermal stability of the resins was related to the structure and the content of triphenol. It was found that resins derived from diphenol I exhibited higher thermal stability as the content of triphenol increased. On the other hand, when diphenol II was used, the thermal stability decreased as the content of triphenol increased, due to steric hindrance of the methyl group on the side ring. Also, a resin from the triphenol alone was synthesized in the same conditions. The kinetic parameters of the decomposition process were determined for all resins.  相似文献

An analytical procedure based on alkaline hydrolysis, solvent extraction and trimethyl-silylation followed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis was used to study the chemical composition of benzoe and storax resins, water-insoluble exudates of trees of the Styrax and Liquidambar genus. They are chemically characterised by having aromatic acids, alcohols and esters as their main components and are thus known as aromatic and/or balsamic resins. This analytical procedure allowed us to characterise the main components of the two resins and, even though cinnamic acid is the main component of both the resins, the presence of other characteristic aromatic compounds and triterpenes permitted us to distinguish between the two materials. All the compounds identified in benzoe resin were detected in an archaeological organic residue from an Egyptian ceramic censer (fifth to seventh centuries a.d.), thus proving that this resin was used as one of the components of the mixture of organic materials burned as incense. These results provide the first chemical evidence of the presence of benzoe resin in an archaeological material from Mediterranean area.  相似文献

In present study, the performance and separation characteristics of five macroporous resins for the enrichment and purification of asiaticoside and madecassoside from Centella asiatica extracts have been evaluated. The adsorption and desorption properties of total triterpene saponins (80% purity) on macroporous resins including HPD100, HPD300, X-5, AB-8 and D101 have been compared. According to our results, HPD100 offered higher adsorption and desorption capacities and higher adsorption speed for asiaticoside and madecassoside than other resins. Column packed with HPD100 resin was used to perform dynamic adsorption and desorption tests to optimize the separation process of asiaticoside and madecassoside from C. asiatica extracts. After the treatment with gradient elution on HPD100 resin, the content of madecassoside in the product increased from 3.9 to 39.7%, and the recovery yield was 70.4%; for asiaticoside the content increased from 2.0 to 21.5%, and the recovery yield was 72.0%. The results showed that HPD100 resin revealed a good ability to separate madecassoside and asiaticoside, and the method can be referenced for the separation of other triterpene saponins from herbal raw materials.  相似文献

A phosphorus-containing oligomer, bis(3-hydroxyphenyl) phenyl phosphate (BHPP), was synthesized through the reaction of phenyl dichlorophosphate and 1,3-dihydroxybenzene, and characterized by elemental analysis, Fourier transform IR spectroscopy, and 1H NMR and 31P NMR spectroscopy. Consequently, the phosphate-based epoxy resins with a phosphorus content of 1 and 2 wt % were prepared via the reaction of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A with BHPP and bisphenol-A, and were confirmed with Fourier transform IR spectroscopy and gel permeation chromatography. Phenolic melamine, Novolak, and dicyanodiamide were used as curing agents to prepare the thermoset resins with the control and the phosphate-based epoxy resins. Thermal properties and thermal degradation behavior of these thermoset resins were investigated by using differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis. The thermoset resins cured with phenolic melamine exhibited higher glass-transition temperatures than the other cured resins owing to the high rigidity of their molecular chain. Thermogravimetric analysis studies demonstrated that the decomposition temperatures of the thermoset resins cured with Novolak were higher than those of the others. A synergistic effect from the combination of the phosphate-based epoxy resin and the nitrogen-containing curing agent can result in a great improvement of the flame retardance for their thermoset resins.  相似文献

The properties of some chelate-forming resins prepared from common anion-exchange resins by treatment with reagents bearing chelate-forming and ion-exchange groups have been studied. A resin prepared from the sulphonic acid derivative of dithizone (DzS) was found to be superior to other chelate-forming resins. Resins loaded with DzS, tetraphenylporphinetrisulphonic acid or zincon were stable in 1M sodium chloride. Resins prepared from sulphonazo III, arsenazo III, thiosalicylic acid or p-mercaptobenzenesulphonic acid were found to be unstable when exposed to sodium chloride solution.  相似文献

An organophosphorus compound, 10-(2,5-dihydroxyl phenyl)-9, 10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide (DHPDOPO), was synthesized through the reaction of 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphnanthrene-10-oxide (DOPO) and p-benzoquinone, and characterized by elemental analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectrum (FTIR), and 1H-NMR and 31P-NMR spectroscopes. Consequently, the phosphorus-containing epoxy resins with phosphorus content of 1 and 2 wt.% were prepared via the reaction of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A with DHPDOPO and bisphenol-A, and confirmed with FTIR and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). Pellicular, macroreticular and microreticular (gel-type) anion exchange resins were compared for the separation of plutonium from nitric acid solutions of mixed plutonium-uranium. AS Pellionex SAX (pellicular resin) and Amberlite IRA-93 (weak base macroreticular anion exchange resin) were found to have better uranium washing and plutonium eluting characteristics than any of the resins tested. However, the capacity of the pellicular resin was much lower than the other resins.  相似文献

Amber is one of the few gemstones based on an organic structure. Found over most of the world, it is the fossil form of sticky plant exudates called resins. Investigation of amber by modern analytical techniques provides structural information and insight into the identity of the ancient plants that produced the source resin. Mass spectrometric analysis of materials separated by gas chromatography has identified specific compounds that are the basis of a reliable classification of the different types of amber. NMR spectroscopy of bulk, solid amber provides a complementary classification. NMR spectroscopy also can be used to characterize modern resins as well as other types of plant exudates such as gums, gum resins, and kinos, which strongly resemble resins in appearance but have very different molecular constitutions.  相似文献

XAD copolymer resins may be functionalized with heavy metal ion-selective ligands either by covalent linkage to the polymer backbone or by impregnation. These resins may be tailored to be specific for certain heavy metals by adjusting the retention and elution parameters. For the synthesis of immobilized Amberlite XAD-4 copolymer resins that are expected to preconcentrate a number of transition and heavy metals, the Schiff base method was chosen. For this purpose the copolymer was nitrated, reduced to the corresponding amine and converted to the imine compounds via a Schiff base reaction using different organic aldehyde compounds. The interactions of 8 elements (Cd, Co, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, U and Zn) with the resins were qualitatively investigated. Optimal pH for retention was typically 6-8 for most resins although one could be used at pH 5 and elution was achieved using 0.1 M HNO3. The resins were characterized by FTIR, SEM and elemental analysis. It was demonstrated that the resins could be used to preconcentrate ultra-trace analytes from natural waters, and analysis of environmental certified reference materials using FI-ICP-MS showed good agreement with the certified values. Metal retention capacities were also calculated using a batch system and were found to compare favorably with other resins reported in the literature.  相似文献

The most acceptable method for preparing glycerophosphocholine is to hydrolyse the natural phosphatidylcholine and use the quaternary ammonium base resin, as a promising heterogeneous catalyst can simplify the craft and minimise the problems existing in the homogeneous catalytic process. However, most of the resins reported in the literature are commercial trimethyl benzyl ammonium base resins and the application of other longer carbon-chain quaternary ammonium resins has not been reported. In the present work, a series of quaternary ammonium base resins were prepared from chloromethyl polystyrene microspheres and different tertiary amines and were used to prepare glycerophosphocholine from natural phosphatidylcholine. The factors affecting the exchange capacity and activity of the resin were investigated. The results showed that the resin possessed a better activity and stability under the following conditions: 1,4-dioxane as solvent, triethylamine as amination agent, reaction temperature of 60°C and amination time of 3 h; it was then used in the methanolysis of phosphatidylcholine by ultrasound-assisted reaction at ambient temperature, with the conversion of phosphatidylcholine attaining 97 % after 4 h. The catalyst was easy to separate from the reaction mixture and could also be readily available for repeat use; the activity and stability were largely consistent after six repeat uses.  相似文献

Cellulose was used as a base polymer in two prepared resins when it was grafted by glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) then immobilized with 8-hydroxyquinoline by two different procedures. The resulting resins were characterized by infrared (IR) spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and nitrogen surface area measurements (BET). The two resins were used in the removal of hazardous Al(III) from their aqueous solutions. The present work discussed the preparation and the effect of spacer arms length used in the functionalization steps on the adsorption process. The resin with longer spacer arm showed faster kinetics compared with the other one toward Al(III) ion adsorption. Fast and efficient adsorption of hazardous Al(III) ions from drinking water by these resins indicates their applicability in water treatment applied field. Thermodynamic parameters were calculated for the studied resins and showed that they possess spontaneous exothermic nature. The regeneration efficiencies reached 90 ± 0.5% over three cycles using a mixture of 2 M HCl and 0.5 M HNO3.  相似文献

Resins based on vinylbenzyl chloride (VBC) and divinylbenzene (DVB) copolymer were synthesised and used for preconcentration and separation of Au, Pt and Pd from hydrochloric acid solutions. Resulted resins show functionality concentration up to 5,8 mmol/g. The acidity and interference of other ions on the resins sorption were discussed. The sorption capacities of gold, platinum and palladium from hydrochloric solutions reaches to 85, 100 and 60 mg/g and distribution coefficients achieve 50 000 value. Recovery of noble metals revealed average of 60-98% from mulitcomponent solutions.  相似文献

The adoption of Raman spectroscopy as a screening technique for the presence of organic resins on diverse substrates is now being advocated for the first pass non-destructive examination of potential sites for limited sampling using other analytical techniques. The characterisation of ancient resins in art work and specimens recovered from archaeological excavations is critically dependent upon the analytical capability of Raman spectroscopy using different wavelengths of excitation from the visible to the near infrared and the interpretation of the data illustrates the advantages and limitations of the technique. Resin specimens from art works and artefacts span a period of about 7000 years of recorded history and the influence of factors such as the environmental degradation, burial deposition, reaction with associated substrates and mineral pigments on the observed Raman spectra have been assessed. The key molecular Raman spectral features that are definitive for the discrimination between contemporary resins are considered in respect of these factors and thereby illustrative of the difficulties posed for the creation of a Raman spectral database of ancient resins, in contrast with the extensive and definitive literature equivalents that are available for their mineral pigment and organic dye analogues.  相似文献
