A coloured complex of niobium (V) with 3-hydroxy-2-(2-thienyl)-4H-chromen-4-one (HTC) is produced in perchloric acid medium (4 mol/L); it is quite stable and extractable into dichloromethane. Beer's law is obeyed in the range 0.0–1.9 g Nb(V) mL–1. The molar absorptivity at max=420 nm is 5.0357×104 L mol–1 cm–1. Using Job's method and the mole ratio method, the ratio of metal to ligand (Nb:HTC) in the extracted species has been found to be 1:2. The effect of anions and foreign metals is described.  相似文献

Summary 4-(1H-1,2,4-Triazolyl-3-azo)-2-methylresorcinol reacts with vanadium(V) at pH 8.10 (Tris-HClO4 buffer solution) to produce a pink-violet 11 complex ( max=525 nm,=2.55×104l·mol–1· cm–1) in a 50% (v/v) methanol-water medium, which allows the spectrophotometric determination of 0.1 to 1.51 ppm of vanadium. The method has been applied for the determination of the vanadium content in low alloy steels.

Zusammenfassung Vanadin bildet bei pH 8,10 (Tris-HClO4-buffer) mit 4-(1H-1,2,4-tri-azolyl-3-azo)-2-methylresorcin ein rosenrot-violettes Chelat, dessen Absorptionsmaximum bei 525 nm in Gegenwart von 50% Methylalkohol gemessen wird. Dieser 11-Komplex entspricht bei einer Vanadin-Konzentration von 0,1–1,51g/ml dem Beerschen Gesetz; seine molare Absorptivität ist 2,55×104l·mol–1·cm–1. Das Verfahren wurde zur Bestimmung des Vanadins in Stahl verwendet.

The extraction of niobium(V) from aqueous hydrochloric and sulphuric acid solutions with 3-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-(4-tolyl)-4-pyridone (HY) dissolved in chloroform is described. Niobium(V) can be quantitatively extracted with HY in the form of two different complexes depending on the chloride ion concentration in the aqueous phase. At a low chloride concentration or without chloride in the aqueous phase niobium(V) is extracted with HY in the form of Nb(OH)3Y2 and at a high chloride concentration as a mixed Nb(OH)3ClY complex. Niobium extraction with HY enables the separation of niobium(V) from zirconium(IV) and hafnium(IV). The formation of a mixed chloro-4-pyridone complex is also applicable for the spectrophotometric determination of niobium in the organic phase at the maximum absorption at 350 nm.  相似文献

The complex equilibria of iron(III) with 1-amino-4-hydroxyanthraquinone (AMHA) were studied spectrophotometrically in 40% (v/v) ethanol and an ionic strength of 0.1M (NaClO(4)). The complexation reactions were demonstrated and characterized using graphical logarithmic analysis of the absorbance-pH graphs. A simple, rapid, selective and sensitive method for the spectrophotometric determination of trace amounts of Fe(III) is developed based on the formation of Fe(AMHA) complex at pH 2.5 (lambda(max) = 640 nm, epsilon approximately = 2.1 x 10(4) L. mol(-1) . cm(-1)) in the presence of a large number of foreign ions. Interferences caused by palladium(II) was masked by the addition of cyanide ions. The method has been applied to the determination of iron in some synthetic samples and polymetallic iron ores.  相似文献

3-Hydroxy-2-[1'-phenyl-3'-(p-chlorophenyl)-4'-pyrazolyl]-4-oxo-4H-1benzopyran (HPCPB) is used as an analytical reagent for the spectrophotometric determination of niobium in trace amounts with which it forms a yellow coloured complex (4:1) in perchloric acid medium. The complex is extractable into chloroform and shows absorption maximum at 407-418 nm with a molar absorptivity of 2.79 x 10(4) L mol(-1) cm(-1) and Sandell's sensitivity equal to 0.0033 microg Nb(V) cm(-2), respectively. Beer's law holds good in the range 0-1.2 microg Nb ml(-1), with a standard deviation of +/- 0.0015 absorbance units. The method is free from the interference of a large number of elements and handles satisfactorily the analysis of various samples of varying complexity.  相似文献

Tervalent gold was determined spectrophotometrically as its anionic 1:4 gold-thiol complex extracted into chloroform from aqueous acidic medium (1.5M sulphuric acid) in the presence of tri-iso-octylamine. The complex exhibits maximum absorption at 480 nm (molar absorptivity 4.60 x 10(3) l.mole(-1).cm(-1)) and Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range 5-50 microg of gold(III) per ml. The relative standard deviation and relative error, calculated from ten determinations of solutions containing 15 microg of gold(III) per ml were 1.0% and 0.8%. The method is simple, selective and reproducible. It permits separation of gold(III) from associated elements and its determination in synthetic mixtures.  相似文献

N-Cyano-N-allylamino-sym-triazines, which were synthesized by the reaction of allyl bromide and the potassium salts of cyanoamino-sym-triazines, were converted to 2-(4'-methyl-1',3'-imidazolidon-1'-yl)-sym-triazines by the action of hydrogen peroxide in an alkaline medium. A similar transformation occurred in hydrochloric acid or under the influence of hydrogen chloride in alcohol.
