The mapping class group of a -pointed Riemann surface has a natural action on any moduli space of parabolic bundles with the marked points as the parabolic points. We prove that under some numerical conditions on the parabolic data, the induced action of the mapping class group on the cohomology algebra of the moduli space of parabolic bundles factors through the natural epimorphism of the mapping class group onto the symplectic group.

In this paper we introduced an iteration scheme for viscosity approximation for a zero of accretive operator and fixed points problems in a reflexive Banach space with weakly continuous duality mapping. A new iterative sequence is introduced and strong convergence of the algorithm xn is proved. The results improve and extend the results of Hu and Liu [L. Hu and L. Liu, A new iterative algorithm for common solutions of a finite family of accretive operators, Nonlinear Anal. 70 (2009) 2344-2351] and some others.  相似文献

We initiate the study of classical knots through the homotopy class of the nth evaluation map of the knot, which is the induced map on the compactified n-point configuration space. Sending a knot to its nth evaluation map realizes the space of knots as a subspace of what we call the nth mapping space model for knots. We compute the homotopy types of the first three mapping space models, showing that the third model gives rise to an integer-valued invariant. We realize this invariant in two ways, in terms of collinearities of three or four points on the knot, and give some explicit computations. We show this invariant coincides with the second coefficient of the Conway polynomial, thus giving a new geometric definition of the simplest finite-type invariant. Finally, using this geometric definition, we give some new applications of this invariant relating to quadrisecants in the knot and to complexity of polygonal and polynomial realizations of a knot.  相似文献

We introduce a new composite iterative scheme by viscosity approximation method for finding a common point of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem and the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping in a Hilbert space. It is proved that the sequence generated by the iterative scheme converges strongly to a common point of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem and the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping. Our results substantially improve the corresponding results of Takahashi and Takahashi [A. Takahashi, W. Takahashi, Viscosity approximation methods for equilibrium problems and fixed point problems in Hilbert spaces, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 331 (2007) 506-515]. Essentially a new approach for finding solutions of equilibrium problems and the fixed points of nonexpansive mappings is provided.  相似文献

本文将非线性动力学问题转化为点映射形式,并以映射的单值连续为条件.将状态空间分割成有限小的单元,用定义在单元上的线性映射逼近原来的非线性映射.映射不动点的大范围分布问题化为线性方程组的求解,继而用迭代法求出不动点的准确位置.用线性映射的变形矩阵可方便地判断不动点的吸引核,从而为描划其吸引域带来了很大便利.本文提出的方法比胞映射法更为简便有效,文后举了例题.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce some new iterative methods for finding a common element of the set of points satisfying a Ky Fan inequality, and the set of fixed points of a contraction mapping in a Hilbert space. The strong convergence of the iterates generated by each method is obtained thanks to a hybrid projection method, under the assumptions that the fixed-point mapping is a ??-strict pseudocontraction, and the function associated with the Ky Fan inequality is pseudomonotone and weakly continuous. A?Lipschitz-type condition is assumed to hold on this function when the basic iteration comes from the extragradient method. This assumption is unnecessary when an Armijo backtracking linesearch is incorporated in the extragradient method. The particular case of variational inequality problems is examined in a last section.  相似文献

A Mann-type iterative scheme which converges strongly to a fixed point of a multi-valued nonexpansive non-self mapping T is constructed in a real Hilbert space H. We also constructed a Mann-type sequence which converges to a fixed point of a multi-valued quasi-nonexpansive non-self mapping under appropriate conditions. In addition, an Ishikawa-type iterative scheme which approximates the fixed points of multi-valued Lipschitz pseudocontractive non-self mappings is constructed in Banach spaces. The results obtained in this paper improve and extend the known results in the literature.

In this paper, we discuss the visualization of multidimensional data. A well-known procedure for mapping data from a high-dimensional space onto a lower-dimensional one is Sammon’s mapping. This algorithm preserves as well as possible all interpattern distances. We investigate an unsupervised backpropagation algorithm to train a multilayer feed-forward neural network (SAMANN) to perform the Sammon’s nonlinear projection. Sammon mapping has a disadvantage. It lacks generalization, which means that new points cannot be added to the obtained map without recalculating it. The SAMANN network offers the generalization ability of projecting new data, which is not present in the original Sammon’s projection algorithm. To save computation time without losing the mapping quality, we need to select optimal values of control parameters. In our research the emphasis is put on the optimization of the learning rate. The experiments are carried out both on artificial and real data. Two cases have been analyzed: (1) training of the SAMANN network with full data set, (2) retraining of the network when the new data points appear.  相似文献

It is shown, by asymptotic center techniques, that the set of fixed points of any uniformly k-lipschitzian mapping in a uniformly convex Banach space is a retract of the domain when k is less than a constant bigger than the constant from the paper [K. Goebel, W.A. Kirk, A fixed point theorem for transformations whose iterates have uniform Lipschitz constant, Studia Math. 47 (1973) 135-140]. Our result improves a recently result presented in [E. S?d?ak, A. Wi?nicki, On the structure of fixed-point sets of uniformly lipschitzian mappings, Topol. Methods Nonlinear Anal. 30 (2007) 345-350].  相似文献

Stable barrier-projection and barrier-Newton methods in linear programming   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
The present paper is devoted to the application of the space transformation techniques for solving linear programming problems. By using a surjective mapping the original constrained optimization problem is transformed to a problem in a new space with only equality constraints. For the numerical solution of the latter problem the stable version of the gradient-projection and Newton's methods are used. After an inverse transformation to the original space a family of numerical methods for solving optimization problems with equality and inequality constraints is obtained. The proposed algorithms are based on the numerical integration of the systems of ordinary differential equations. These algorithms do not require feasibility of the starting and current points, but they preserve feasibility. As a result of a space transformation the vector fields of differential equations are changed and additional terms are introduced which serve as a barrier preventing the trajectories from leaving the feasible set. A proof of a convergence is given.Dedicated to Professor George B. We know that variational inequality problem is very important in the nonlinear analysis. For a variational inequality problem defined over a nonempty fixed point set of a nonexpansive mapping in Hilbert space, the strong convergence theorem has been proposed by I. Yamada. The algorithm in this theorem is named the hybrid steepest descent method. Based on this method, we propose a new weak convergence theorem for zero points of inverse strongly monotone mapping and fixed points of nonexpansive mapping in Hilbert space. Using this result, we obtain some new weak convergence theorems which are useful in nonlinear analysis and optimization problem.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce an iterative scheme by the viscosity approximation method for finding a common element of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem and the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mapping in a Hilbert space. Then, we prove a strong convergence theorem which is connected with Combettes and Hirstoaga's result [P.L. Combettes, S.A. Hirstoaga, Equilibrium programming in Hilbert spaces, J. Nonlinear Convex Anal. 6 (2005) 117-136] and Wittmann's result [R. Wittmann, Approximation of fixed points of nonexpansive mappings, Arch. Math. 58 (1992) 486-491]. Using this result, we obtain two corollaries which improve and extend their results.  相似文献

A Teichmüller lattice is the orbit of a point in Teichmüller space under the action of the mapping class group. We show that the proportion of lattice points in a ball of radius r which are not pseudo-Anosov tends to zero as r tends to infinity. In fact, we show that if R is a subset of the mapping class group, whose elements have an upper bound on their translation length on the complex of curves, then the proportion of lattice points in the ball of radius r which lie in R tends to zero as r tends to infinity.  相似文献

A coincidence point of a pair of mappings is an element, at which these mappings take on the same value. Coincidence points of mappings of partially ordered spaces were studied by A.V. Arutyunov, E.S. Zhukovskiy, and S.E. Zhukovskiy (see Topology and its Applications, 2015, V. 179, No. 1, p. 13–33); they proved, in particular, that an orderly covering mapping and a monotone one, both acting from a partially ordered space to a partially ordered one, possess a coincidence point. In this paper, we study the existence of a coincidence point of a pair of mappings that act from a partially ordered space to a set, where no binary relation is defined, and, consequently, it is impossible to define covering and monotonicity properties of mappings. In order to study the mentioned problem, we define the notion of a “quasi-coincidence” point. We understand it as an element, for which there exists another element, which does not exceed the initial one and is such that the value of the first mapping at it equals the value of the second mapping at the initial element. It turns out that the following condition is sufficient for the existence of a coincidence point: any chain of “quasi-coincidence” points is bounded and has a lower bound, which also is a “quasi-coincidence” point. We give an example of mappings that satisfy the above requirements and do not allow the application of results obtained for coincidence points of orderly covering and monotone mappings. In addition, we give an interpretation of the stability notion for coincidence points of mappings that act in partially ordered spaces with respect to their small perturbations and establish the corresponding stability conditions.  相似文献
