This paper is concerned with the metric properties of β-expansions over the field of formal Laurent series. We will see that there are essential differences between β-expansions of the formal Laurent series case and the classical real case. Also the Hausdorff dimensions of some exceptional sets, with respect to the Haar measure, are determined. 相似文献

In this paper, we study the quantitative recurrence and hitting sets of β-transformation T β on the unit disk I of formal Laurent series field $$E_\phi:= \{x\in I: \|T_\beta^nx - x\| < \|\beta\|^{-\phi(n)}\,\,\,{\rm infinitely\,often}\}$$ and $$F_\phi:=\{x\in I: \|T_\beta^nx-x_0\|<\|\beta\|^{-\phi(n)}\,\,\,{\rm infinitely\,often}\},$$ where x 0 is any fixed point in I and ${\phi}$ is any positive function defined on ${\mathbb{N}}$ with ${\phi(n)\to\infty}$ as n → ∞. We completely determine the Hausdorff dimensions of these sets: $$\dim_{\rm H} E_{\phi}=\dim_{\rm H}F_\phi=\frac{1}{1+\liminf\limits_{n\to\infty}\frac{\phi (n)}{n}}.$$ 相似文献

The Hausdorff dimensions of some refined irregular sets associated with β-expansions are determined for any β 1. More precisely, Hausdorff dimensions of the sets {x ∈ [0, 1) :lim inf(n→∞) S_n(x, β)/n= α_1, lim sup (n→∞) S_n(x, β)/n= α_2}, α_1, α_2≥0 are obtained completely, where S_n(x, β) =sum ε_k(x, β) from k=1 to n denotes the sum of the first n digits of the β-expansion of x. Earlier the authors considered and, in some cases, computed Poincaré series for two sorts of multi-index filtrations on the
ring of germs of functions on a complex (normal) surface singularity (in particular, on the complex plane). A filtration of
the first class was defined by a curve (with several branches) on the surface singularity. A filtration of the second class
(called divisorial) was defined by a set of components of the exceptional divisor of a modification of the surface singularity.
Here we define and compute in some cases the Poincaré series corresponding to a set of ideals in the ring of germs of functions

We study the topology of a set naturally arising from the study of β-expansions. After proving several elementary results for this set we study the case when our base is Pisot. In this case we give necessary and sufficient conditions for this set to be finite. This finiteness property will allow us to generalise a theorem due to Schmidt and will provide the motivation for sufficient conditions under which the growth rate and Hausdorff dimension of the set of β-expansions are equal and explicitly calculable. 相似文献

Let Γ be a tropical curve (or metric graph), and fix a base point p∈Γ. We define the Jacobian group J(G) of a finite weighted graph G, and show that the Jacobian J(Γ) is canonically isomorphic to the direct limit of J(G) over all weighted graph models G for Γ. This result is useful for reducing certain questions about the Abel–Jacobi map Φ p :Γ→J(Γ), defined by Mikhalkin and Zharkov, to purely combinatorial questions about weighted graphs. We prove that J(G) is finite if and only if the edges in each 2-connected component of G are commensurable over ℚ. As an application of our direct limit theorem, we derive some local comparison formulas between ρ and varPhip*(r){varPhi}_{p}^{*}(rho) for three different natural “metrics” ρ on J(Γ). One of these formulas implies that Φ p is a tropical isometry when Γ is 2-edge-connected. Another shows that the canonical measure μ Zh on a metric graph Γ, defined by S. Zhang, measures lengths on Φ p (Γ) with respect to the “sup-norm” on J(Γ). 相似文献
