在高斯光强近似下对泵浦LD光强分布模型进行修正,建立了LDA侧面泵浦固体激光介质内热源分布的数值模型。用有限元法计算模拟了三角均匀分布侧面泵浦结构激光棒瞬态温升过程及稳态温度分布情况。讨论比较了泵浦源的高斯强度近似和均匀强度近似下激光棒内温度分布情况,并对激光棒的类热透镜的焦距进行实验测量。实验和数值计算说明了LDA泵浦结构和冷却场的非均匀分布使实际温度场偏离均匀泵浦时的二次曲线分布模型,激光晶体热效应产生的类透镜会聚作用的不对称导致了激光器输出光束质量在x,y方向上的不同。 相似文献

An investigation of thermal effects in a high-power Nd:YAG disk-type solid state laser pumped with different pump beam transverse profiles is carried out by numerical simulation based on the finite element method (FEM). Impact of the heat sink on the thermal effects is included in the simulation. The distribution of first principle stress, thermally induced birefringence, including the distribution and variation of the birefringence loss, are studied. The characteristics of the phase variation are analyzed with consideration of the temperature gradient, deformation, strain and thermal stress. Thermal lensing is explored as a function of pump power and of the radius pumped with different pump beam transverse profiles. The non-parabolic part of optical phase distortion is simulated. Furthermore, the characteristics of the bi-focus of the disk laser are also studied. Experiments on the maximum tensile stress distribution and depolarization loss are carried out. The presented calculations are in qualitative agreement with the experimental observations. 相似文献

We analyze the propagation properties of the beam extracted from a diode pumped ceramic Nd:YAG slab laser adopting a hybrid stable–unstable resonator. Such a resonator produces a beam characterized by an Hermite–Gauss mixture-like distribution in one transverse direction and a hard-edge diffracted distribution on the other transverse direction. The beam propagation parameters Mx2 and My2 are measured for different values of the diodes driving current. We obtain a beam parameter product smaller than 3 mm mrad in both transverse directions and in the whole range of powers, up to an extraction of 220 W in a QCW regime. 相似文献

Based on space-dependent rate equation, the lowest threshold input power for diode end-pumped solid state lasers is obtained for pump spot size wp → 0. However, when the pump beam waist is decreased, the far-field half-angle increases due to the same beam quality, which will influence the match between the pump volume and mode volume. Most importantly, when the pump beam waist is decreased, the temperature and temperature gradient in the laser rod would be very high due to the resulting heat, which would cause material distortion, variation of refractive index, instability of laser resonator etc. We analyze the temperature distributions with different pump beam sizes and conclude that the condition wp ≈ w0 (the radius of the laser beam at the laser rod) is often taken as a rough guide to the optimum case. 相似文献

为了选择适合太阳光泵浦的激光材料,本文从四能级速率方程出发,综合考虑了太阳辐射带状光谱特性和激光材料对泵浦光吸收能力,建立了太阳光泵浦固体激光理论模型。利用该模型推导得到了单束光侧面泵浦和椭球腔侧面泵浦方式下的泵浦阈值表达式,并结合Nd~3+∶YAG、Nd~3+∶glass、Nd~3+∶Cr~3+∶GSGG(Nd~3+∶Cr~3+∶Gd_3Sc_2Ga_3O_12)、Cr~3+∶BeAl_2O_4和Cr~3+∶Nd~3+∶YAG等激光材料的光谱参数,计算了这些材料的泵浦阈值光强。结果表明:在单束光侧面泵浦和椭球腔侧面泵浦方式下,Nd~3+∶YAG的泵浦阈值光强分别为448个太阳常数和224个太阳常数,是比较适合用太阳光泵浦的激光材料。由于椭球腔的特殊结构,采用椭球腔侧面泵浦激光介质,阈值光强比较低。分析了泵浦阈值光强与材料直径的关系。该模型可用于从现有的激光材料中筛选出在太阳光泵浦下最易输出激光的工作物质。 相似文献

estimation of thermal lens focal length, is reported. This method is applicable to any type of stable resonator. The method
is used for the measurement of the thermal lens focal length with an accuracy of 8% in an axially pumped microchip laser.

The annular beam as a pump light of VECSELs is presented for the first time in this study. The thermal characteristics of VECSELs were calculated and simulated by finite element method, and the influence of the annular beam's annulus radius, the annulus width, and the pumping power to the VECSELs’ thermal characteristics was analyzed in detail. The results indicated that the annular beam can improve the VECSELs’ thermal characteristics efficiently, and provide a favorable term to generate laser in the central part of the annular. The theoretical results provided theoretical reference and experimental study for the design of high-power optically pumped VECSELs. 相似文献

基于非相干反馈随机激光器的扩散方程理论,将扩散方程中的增益项改写为饱和形式,并利用有限差分方法,研究了双光子抽运随机激光器中辐射光能量随时间演化特性.对扩散方程的数值求解给出了系统辐射光能量由自发辐射开始,经历小信号增益状态得到放大,再到由于增益饱和形成稳态输出的整个演化过程.表明介质的无序导致了在较低能量情况下也能获得饱和增益这样的非线性效应.结果为研究获得双光子抽运随机激光器的稳态输出提供了理论依据.
