A Sufficient Condition for Rigidity in Extremality of Teichmuller Equivalence Classes by Schwarzian Derivative

The Strebel point is a TeichmOller equivalence class in the Teichmuller space that has a certain rigidity in the extremality of the maximal dilatation. In this paper, we give a sufficient condition in terms of the Schwarzian derivative for a Teichmuller equivalence class of the universal Teichmuller space under which the class is a Strebel point. As an application, we construct a Teichmuller equivalence class that is a Strebel point and that is not an asymptotically conformal class.     

Non-Strebel points and variability sets

This paper studies the subset of the non-Strebel points in the universal Teichmuller space T. Let Z0 ∈ △be a fixed point. Then we prove that for every non-Strebel point h, there is a holomorphic curve γ : [0, 1]→ T with h as its initial point satisfying the following conditions.(1) The curve γ is on a sphere centered at the base-point of T, i.e. dT(id, γ(t)) = dT(id, h), (t ∈ [0, 1]).(2) For every t ∈ (0,1], the variability set Vγ(t)[Z0] of γ(t) has non-empty interior, i.e. Vγ(t) [Z0] ≠ .     

Geodesic discs in Teichmiiller space

Let T(S) be the Teichmuller space of a Riemann surface S. By definition, a geodesic disc in T(S) is the image of an isometric embedding of the Poincare disc into T(S). It is shown in this paper that for any non-Strebel point τ∈T(S), there are infinitely many aeodesic discs containina [0] and τ.

Some Properties of an Operator on L^∞（△） and Its Applications

In this paper, we introduce an operator Hμ（z） on L^∞（△） and obtain some of its properties. Some applications of this operator to the extremal problem of quasiconformal mappings are given. In particular, a sufficient condition for a point r in the universal Teichmfiller space T（△） to be a Strebel point is obtained.     

THE REAL HYPER-ELLIPTIC SUBSPACES OF TEICHMüLLER SPACE AND MODULI SPACE

Although the existence and uniqueness of Strebel differentials are proved by Jenkins and Strebel, the specific constructions of Strebel differentials are difficult. Two special kinds of special Strebel differentials are constructed in [5, 6]. The Strebel rays [3] and the eventually distance minimizing rays [9] are important in Teichm¨uller spaces and moduli spaces, respectively. Motivated by the study of [3, 9], two special kinds of Strebel rays in the real hyper-elliptic subspace of Teichm¨uller space and two special kinds of EDM rays in the real hyper-elliptic subspace of moduli space are studied in this article.     

Hausdorff dimension of quasi-cirles of polygonal mappings and its applications

We show that the Hausdorff dimension of quasi-circles of polygonal mappings is one.Furthermore,we apply this result to the theory of extremal quasiconformal mappings.Let [μ] be a point in the universal Teichmller space such that the Hausdorff dimension of fμ(Δ) is bigger than one.We show that for every kn∈(0,1) and polygonal differentials ψn,n=1,2,...,the sequence {[kn ψn/|ψn|]} cannot converge to [μ] under the Teichmer metric.     

Isometric Embeddings of Subsets of Boundaries of Teichmüller Spaces of Compact Hyperbolic Riemann Surfaces

It is known that every finitely unbranched holomorphic covering π:S→S of a compact Riemann surface S with genus g≥2 induces an isometric embedding Φπ:Teich(S)→Teich(S).By the mutual relations between Strebel rays in Teich(S)and their embeddings in Teich(S),we show that the 1 st-strata space of the augmented Teichmüller space Teich(S)can be embedded in the augmented Teichmüller space Teich(S)isometrically.Furthermore,we show that Φπ induces an isometric embedding from the set Teich(S)B(∞)consisting of Busemann points in the horofunction boundary of Teich(S)into Teich(S)B(∞)with the detour metric.     

INCOMPLETE SEMI-ITERATIVE METHODS FOR SOLVING SINGULAR LINEAR OPERATOR EQUATIONS IN BANACH SPACE WITH APPLICATIONS IN MARKOV CHAIN MODELING

Let X be a separable infinite dimensional Banach space and B(X) denote its operator algebra,the algebra of all bounded linear operators T : X → X.Define a left multiplication mapping LT : B(X) → B(X) by LT (V ) = T V,V ∈ B(X).We investigate the connections between hypercyclic and chaotic behaviors of the left multiplication mapping LT on B(X) and that of operator T on X.We obtain that LT is SOT-hypercyclic if and only if T satisfies the Hypercyclicity Criterion.If we define chaos on B(X) as SOT-hypercyclicity plus SOT-dense subset of periodic points,we also get that LT is chaotic if and only if T is chaotic in the sense of Devaney.     

Kobayashi’s and Teichmuller’s Metrics and Bers Complex Manifold Structure on Circle Diffeomorphisms

Given a modulus of continuity ω,we consider the Teichmuller space TC1+ω as the space of all orientation-preserving circle diffeomorphisms whose derivatives are ω-continuous functions modulo the space of Mobius transformations preserving the unit disk.We study several distortion properties for diffeomorphisms and quasisymmetric homeomorphisms.Using these distortion properties,we give the Bers complex manifold structure on the Teichm(u| ")ller space TC^1+H as the union of over all0 <α≤1,which turns out to be the largest space in the Teichmuller space of C1 orientation-preserving circle diffeomorphisms on which we can assign such a structure.Furthermore,we prove that with the Bers complex manifold structure on TC^1+H ,Kobayashi’s metric and Teichmuller’s metric coincide.     

Local Hardy spaces of Musielak-Orlicz type and their applications

Letφ:R n × [0,∞) → [0,∞) be a function such that φ(x,·) is an Orlicz function and (·,t) ∈ A ∞loc (Rn) (the class of local weights introduced by Rychkov).In this paper,the authors introduce a local Musielak-Orlicz Hardy space hφ(Rn) by the local grand maximal function,and a local BMO-type space bmoφ(Rn) which is further proved to be the dual space of hφ(Rn).As an application,the authors prove that the class of pointwise multipliers for the local BMO-type space bmo φ (Rn),characterized by Nakai and Yabuta,is just the dual of L 1 (Rn) + h Φ 0 (Rn),where φ is an increasing function on (0,∞) satisfying some additional growth conditions and Φ 0 a Musielak-Orlicz function induced by φ.Characterizations of hφ(Rn),including the atoms,the local vertical and the local nontangential maximal functions,are presented.Using the atomic characterization,the authors prove the existence of finite atomic decompositions achieving the norm in some dense subspaces of hφ(Rn),from which,the authors further deduce some criterions for the boundedness on hφ(Rn) of some sublinear operators.Finally,the authors show that the local Riesz transforms and some pseudo-differential operators are bounded on hφ(Rn).     

A RESULT OF SUZUKI TYPE IN PARTIAL G-METRIC SPACES

Recently, Suzuki [T. Suzuki characterizes metric completeness, Proc. A generalized Banach contractlon principle that Amer. Math. Soc. 136 （2008）, 1861-1869] proved a fixed point theorem that is a generalization of the Banach contraction principle and char- acterizes the metric completeness. Paesano and Vetro [D. Paesano and P. Vetro, Suzuki＇s type characterizations of completeness for partial metric spaces and fixed points for partially ordered metric spaces, Topology Appl., 159 （2012）, 911-920] proved an analogous fixed point result for a self-mapping on a partial metric space that characterizes the partial metric O- completeness. In this article, we introduce the notion of partial G-metric spaces and prove a result of Suzuki type in the setting of partial G-metric spaces. We deduce also a result of common fixed point.     

Self-maps of p-local infinite projective spaces

Denote by Z (p) (resp.Z p ) the p localization (resp.p completion) of Z.Then we have the canonical inclusion Z (p) → Z p .Let S 2n-1 (p) be the p-local (2n-1)-sphere and let B 2n (p) be a connected p-local space satisfying S 2n-1 (p) ～= ΩB 2n (p) ;then H - (B 2n (p) ,Z (p) ) = Z (p) [u] with |u| = 2n.Define the degree of a self-map f of B 2n (p) to be k ∈ Z (p) such that f *(u) = ku.Using the theory of integer-valued polynomials we show that there exists a self-map of B 2n (p) of degree k if and only if k is an n-th power in Z p .     

关于含渐近等距于$l^{\beta}(0<\beta<1)$子空间的赋$\beta$范空间

We get the characterizations of the family of all nonnegative, subadditive,β-absolutely homogeneous and continuous functionals defined on X, when the ;3-normed space X contains an asymptotically isometric copy of l^β. Moreover, it is proved that if a closed bounded β-convex subset K of a β-normed space contains an asymptotically isometric β-basis, then K contains a closed β-convex subset C which fails the fixed point property.     

分数次积分交换子在非齐Morrey空间上的紧性

The aim of this paper is to establish the necessary and sufficient conditions for the compactness of fractional integral commutator[b,I_γ]which is generated by fractional integral I_γand function b∈Lip_β(μ)on Morrey space over non-homogeneous metric measure space,which satisfies the geometrically doubling and upper doubling conditions in the sense of Hytonen.Under assumption that the dominating functionλsatisfies weak reverse doubling condition,the author proves that the commutator[b,I_γ]is compact from Morrey space M_q^p(μ)into Morrey space M_t^s(μ)if and only if b∈Lip_β(μ).     

On a relation between the universal Teichmüller space and the Grunsky operator

Being a Strebel point gives a sufficient condition for that the extremal Beltrami coefficient is uniquely determined in a Teichmiiller equivalence class. We consider how Strebel points are characterized. In this paper, we will give a new characterization of Strebel points in a certain subset of the universal Teichmfiller space by a property of the Grunsky operator.     

On a Relation between the Universal Teichmu¨ller Space and the Grunsky Operator

Being a Strebel point gives a sufficient condition for that the extremal Beltrami coefficient is uniquely determined in a Teichmüller equivalence class.We consider how Strebel points are characterized.In this paper,we will give a new characterization of Strebel points in a certain subset of the universal Teichmüller space by a property of the Grunsky operator.     

Chains of function spaces over Euclidian spaces and local fields

The Lipschitz class Lip(K, α) on a local field K is defined in [10], and an equivalent relationship between the Ho&#168;lder type space Cα(K)[9] and Lip(K,α) is given. In this note, we give a “chain of function spaces“ over Euclidian space by defining higher order continuous modulus in R, and point out that there is no need of higher order continuous modulus for describing the chain of function spaces over local fields.     

An isomorphism theorem for Teichmüller curves

It is proved that for any Fuchsian group Г such that H/Г is a hyperbolic Riemann surface, the Teichmuller curve V(Г) has a unique complex manifold structure so that the natural projection of the Bers fiber space F(Г) onto V(Г) is holomorphic with local holomorphic sections. An isomorphism theorem for Teichmuller curves is deduced, which generalizes a classical result that the Teichmuller curve V(Г) depends only on the type of Г and not on the orders of the elliptic elements of Г when H/Г is a compact hyperbolic Riemann surface.
