In this paper, our goal is to study the regular reduction theory of regular controlled Hamiltonian (RCH) systems with symplectic structure and symmetry, and this reduction is an extension of regular symplectic reduction theory of Hamiltonian systems under regular controlled Hamiltonian equivalence conditions. Thus, in order to describe uniformly RCH systems defined on a cotangent bundle and on the regular reduced spaces, we first define a kind of RCH systems on a symplectic fiber bundle. Then we introduce regular point and regular orbit reducible RCH systems with symmetry by using momentum map and the associated reduced symplectic forms. Moreover, we give regular point and regular orbit reduction theorems for RCH systems to explain the relationships between RpCH-equivalence, RoCH-equivalence for reducible RCH systems with symmetry and RCH-equivalence for associated reduced RCH systems. Finally, as an application we regard rigid body and heavy top as well as them with internal rotors as the regular point reducible RCH systems on the rotation group SO(3) and on the Euclidean group SE(3), as well as on their generalizations, respectively, and discuss their RCH-equivalence. We also describe the RCH system and RCH-equivalence from the viewpoint of port Hamiltonian system with a symplectic structure.  相似文献

For the cotangent bundle TQ of a smooth Riemannian manifold acted upon by the lift of a smooth and proper action by isometries of a Lie group, we characterize the symplectic normal space at any point. We show that this space splits as the direct sum of the cotangent bundle of a linear space and a symplectic linear space coming from reduction of a coadjoint orbit. This characterization of the symplectic normal space can be expressed solely in terms of the group action on the base manifold and the coadjoint representation. Some relevant particular cases are explored.  相似文献

Let(M,ω)be a symplectic manifold. In this paper, the authors consider the notions of musical(bemolle and diesis)isomorphisms ω~b:T M→T~*M and ω~?:T~*M→TM between tangent and cotangent bundles. The authors prove that the complete lifts of symplectic vector field to tangent and cotangent bundles is ω~b-related.As consequence of analyze of connections between the complete lift ~cω_(T M )of symplectic 2-form ω to tangent bundle and the natural symplectic 2-form dp on cotangent bundle, the authors proved that dp is a pullback o f~cω_(TM)by ω~?.Also, the authors investigate the complete lift ~cφ_T~*_M )of almost complex structure φ to cotangent bundle and prove that it is a transform by ω~?of complete lift~cφ_(T M )to tangent bundle if the triple(M,ω,φ)is an almost holomorphic A-manifold.The transform of complete lifts of vector-valued 2-form is also studied.  相似文献

There exist three main approaches to reduction associated to canonical Lie group actions on a symplectic manifold, namely, foliation reduction, introduced by Cartan, Marsden-Weinstein reduction, and optimal reduction, introduced by the authors. When the action is free, proper, and admits a momentum map these three approaches coincide. The goal of this paper is to study the general case of a symplectic action that does not admit a momentum map and one needs to use its natural generalization, a cylinder valued momentum map introduced by Condevaux et al. In this case it will be shown that the three reduced spaces mentioned above do not coincide, in general. More specifically, the Marsden-Weinstein reduced spaces are not symplectic but Poisson and their symplectic leaves are given by the optimal reduced spaces. Foliation reduction produces a symplectic reduced space whose Poisson quotient by a certain Lie group associated to the group of symmetries of the problem equals the Marsden-Weinstein reduced space. We illustrate these constructions with concrete examples, special emphasis being given to the reduction of a magnetic cotangent bundle of a Lie group in the situation when the magnetic term ensures the non-existence of the momentum map for the lifted action. The precise relation of the cylinder valued momentum map with group valued momentum maps for Abelian Lie groups is also given.  相似文献

We will show that the cotangent bundle of a manifold whose free loopspace homology grows exponentially is not symplectomorphic to any smooth affine variety. We will also show that the unit cotangent bundle of such a manifold is not Stein fillable by a Stein domain whose completion is symplectomorphic to a smooth affine variety. For instance, these results hold for end connect sums of simply connected manifolds whose cohomology with coefficients in some field has at least two generators. We use an invariant called the growth rate of symplectic homology to prove this result.  相似文献

The cohomology of various sheaves associated with a Lagrangian foliation is discussed. Obstructions for the foliation either to behave like in the case of a cotangent bundle or to have an affine transversal distribution are found in this cohomology. Furthermore, one proves a formula for all the symplectic structures of a cotangent bundle such that the fibers constitute a Lagrangian foliation. This paper has been written while the author was a visiting professor at the Universities of Montpellier and Strasbourg (France). He wants to acknowledge here his gratitude to these host institutions, and, particularly, to Pierre Molino, Claude Godbillon and Daniel Bernard.  相似文献

We calculate the Hörmander index in the finite-dimensional case. Then we use the result to give some iteration inequalities, and prove almost existence of mean indices for given complete autonomous Hamiltonian system on compact symplectic manifold with symplectic trivial tangent bundle and given autonomous Hamiltonian system on regular compact energy hypersurface of symplectic manifold with symplectic trivial tangent bundle.  相似文献

We show that the space of geodesics of a Hadamard manifold of dimension n is symplectomorphic to the cotangent bundle of the sphere of dimension n–1. This enables us to apply the techniques of symplectic geometry in cotangent bundles to the study of the extrinsic geometry of hypersurfaces and wave fronts in Hadamard manifolds.  相似文献

We study a problem of the geometric quantization for the quaternionprojective space. First we explain a Kähler structure on the punctured cotangent bundleof the quaternion projective space, whose Kähler form coincides withthe natural symplectic form on the cotangent bundle and show thatthe canonical line bundle of this complex structure is holomorphicallytrivial by explicitly constructing a nowhere vanishing holomorphicglobal section. Then we construct a Hilbert space consisting of acertain class of holomorphic functions on the punctured cotangentbundle by the method ofpairing polarization and incidentally we construct an operatorfrom this Hilbert space to the L 2 space of the quaternionprojective space. Also we construct a similar operator between thesetwo Hilbert spaces through the Hopf fiberation. We prove that these operators quantizethe geodesic flow of the quaternion projective space tothe one parameter group of the unitary Fourier integral operatorsgenerated by the square root of the Laplacian plus suitable constant. Finally we remark that the Hilbert space above has the reproducing kernel.  相似文献

Let X be a smooth n-dimensional projective variety defined over and let L be a line bundle on X. In this paper we shall construct a moduli space parametrizing -cohomology L-twisted Higgs pairs, i.e., pairs where E is a vector bundle on X and . If we take , the canonical line bundle on X, the variety is canonically identified with the cotangent bundle of the smooth locus of the moduli space of stable vector bundles on X and, as such, it has a canonical symplectic structure. We prove that, in the general case, in correspondence to the choice of a non-zero section , one can define, in a natural way, a Poisson structure on . We also analyze the relations between this Poisson structure on and the canonical symplectic structure of the cotangent bundle to the smooth locus of the moduli space of parabolic bundles over X, with parabolic structure over the divisor D defined by the section s. These results generalize to the higher dimensional case similar results proved in [Bo1] in the case of curves. Received November 4, 1997; in final form May 28, 1998  相似文献

We prove that the algebra of chains on the based loop space recovers the derived (wrapped) Fukaya category of the cotangent bundle of a closed smooth oriented manifold. The main new idea is the proof that a cotangent fibre generates the Fukaya category using a version of the map from symplectic cohomology to the homology of the free loop space introduced by Cieliebak and Latschev.  相似文献

Curves in Lagrange Grassmannians appear naturally in the intrinsic study of geometric structures on manifolds. By a smooth geometric structure on a manifold we mean any submanifold of its tangent bundle, transversal to the fibers. One can consider the time-optimal problem naturally associated with a geometric structure. The Pontryagin extremals of this optimal problem are integral curves of certain Hamiltonian system in the cotangent bundle. The dynamics of the fibers of the cotangent bundle w.r.t. this system along an extremal is described by certain curve in a Lagrange Grassmannian, called Jacobi curve of the extremal. Any symplectic invariant of the Jacobi curves produces the invariant of the original geometric structure. The basic characteristic of a curve in a Lagrange Grassmannian is its Young diagram. The number of boxes in its kth column is equal to the rank of the kth derivative of the curve (which is an appropriately defined linear mapping) at a generic point. We will describe the construction of the complete system of symplectic invariants for parameterized curves in a Lagrange Grassmannian with given Young diagram. It allows to develop in a unified way local differential geometry of very wide classes of geometric structures on manifolds, including both classical geometric structures such as Riemannian and Finslerian structures and less classical ones such as sub-Riemannian and sub-Finslerian structures, defined on nonholonomic distributions.  相似文献

Let K be a compact Lie group. We introduce the process of symplectic implosion, which associates to every Hamiltonian K-manifold a stratified space called the imploded cross-section. It bears a resemblance to symplectic reduction, but instead of quotienting by the entire group, it cuts the symmetries down to a maximal torus of K. We examine the nature of the singularities and describe in detail the imploded cross-section of the cotangent bundle of K, which turns out to be identical to an affine variety studied by Gelfand, Popov, Vinberg, and others. Finally we show that "quantization commutes with implosion".  相似文献

We construct a corank one Poisson manifold which is of strong compact type, i.e., the associated Lie algebroid structure on its cotangent bundle is integrable, and the source 1-connected (symplectic) integration is compact. The construction relies on the geometry of the moduli space of marked K3 surfaces.  相似文献

We consider 3-dimensional anti-de Sitter manifolds with conical singularities along time-like lines, which is what in the physics literature is known as manifolds with particles. We show that the space of such cone-manifolds is parametrized by the cotangent bundle of Teichmüller space, and that moreover such cone-manifolds have a canonical foliation by space-like surfaces. We extend these results to de Sitter and Minkowski cone-manifolds, as well as to some related “quasifuchsian” hyperbolic manifolds with conical singularities along infinite lines, in this later case under the condition that they contain a minimal surface with principal curvatures less than 1. In the hyperbolic case the space of such cone-manifolds turns out to be parametrized by an open subset in the cotangent bundle of Teichmüller space. For all settings, the symplectic form on the moduli space of 3-manifolds that comes from parameterization by the cotangent bundle of Teichmüller space is the same as the 3-dimensional gravity one. The proofs use minimal (or maximal, or CMC) surfaces, along with some results of Mess on AdS manifolds, which are recovered here in a different way, using differential-geometric methods and a result of Labourie on some mappings between hyperbolic surfaces, that allows an extension to cone-manifolds.   相似文献
