Let A be a compact set in of Hausdorff dimension d. For s ∈ (0,d) the Riesz s-equilibrium measure μ s is the unique Borel probability measure with support in A that minimizes
over all such probability measures. If A is strongly -rectifiable, then μ s converges in the weak-star topology to normalized d-dimensional Hausdorff measure restricted to A as s approaches d from below. Let G be a finite group. The prime graph Γ(G) of G is defined as follows. The vertices of Γ(G) are the primes dividing the order of G and two distinct vertices p and p′ are joined by an edge if there is an element in G of order pp′. We denote by k(Γ(G)) the number of isomorphism classes of finite groups H satisfying Γ(G) = Γ(H). Given a natural number r, a finite group G is called r-recognizable by prime graph if k(Γ(G)) =  r. In Shen et al. (Sib. Math. J. 51(2):244–254, 2010), it is proved that if p is an odd prime, then B p (3) is recognizable by element orders. In this paper as the main result, we show that if G is a finite group such that Γ(G) = Γ(B p (3)), where p > 3 is an odd prime, then \({G\cong B_p(3)}\) or C p (3). Also if Γ(G) = Γ(B 3(3)), then \({G\cong B_3(3), C_3(3), D_4(3)}\), or \({G/O_2(G)\cong {\rm Aut}(^2B_2(8))}\). As a corollary, the main result of the above paper is obtained.  相似文献

By a composition operator between two f-algebras we mean a positive algebra homomorphism. This paper intends to give a systematic study of such operators. A particular attention is paid to their connection with separating regular operators as well as to their global behavior in the module of regular operators. Let B be an Archimedean reduced f-ring. A positive element \({\omega}\) in B is said to satisfy the property \({(\ast)}\) if for every f-ring A with identity e and every \({\ell}\)-group homomorphism \({\gamma : A \rightarrow B}\) with \({\gamma(e) = \omega}\), there exists a unique \({\ell}\)-ring homomorphism \({\rho: B \rightarrow B}\) such that \({\gamma = \omega \rho}\) and \({\rho(e)^{\perp \perp} = \omega^{\perp \perp}}\). Boulabiar and Hager proved that any (positive) von Neumann regular element in B satisfies the property \({(\ast)}\) and proved that the converse holds in the C(X)-case. In this regard, they asked about this converse in the general case. Our main purpose in this note is to prove, via a counter-example, that the converse in question fails in general. In addition, we shall take the opportunity to extend the direct result obtained by Boulabiar and Hager, and to get the C(X)-case we were talking about in an easier way.  相似文献

We describe two methods for showing that a vector cannot be the f-vector of a homology d-ball. As a consequence, we disprove a conjectured characterization of the f-vectors of balls of dimension five and higher due to Billera and Lee. We also provide a construction of triangulated balls with various f-vectors. We show that this construction obtains all possible f-vectors of three- and four-dimensional balls and we conjecture that this result also extends to dimension five.  相似文献

We provide some characterizations of completely prime (completely semiprime) and 3-prime (3-semiprime) N-groups. The relationship between a 3-prime (completely prime) N-ideal P of an N-group Γ and the ideal (P: Γ) of the near-ring N is investigated. Moreover, the notion of IFP N-ideal is defined. We prove that the concept of IFP N-ideal occurs naturally where N is a left permutable (left self distributive, subcommutative) near-ring and Γ a monogenic N-group. Also, we obtain some relationships between an IFP N-ideal P of an N-group Γ and the ideal (P: Γ) of the near-ring N.  相似文献

In this paper, we give the eigenvalues of the manifold Sp(n)/U(n). We prove that an eigenvalue λ s (f 2, f 2, …, f n ) of the Lie group Sp(n), corresponding to the representation with label (f 1, f 2, ..., f n ), is an eigenvalue of the manifold Sp(n)/U(n), if and only if f 1, f 2, …, f n are all even.  相似文献

In this note, we find a monomial basis of the cyclotomic Hecke algebra \({\mathcal{H}_{r,p,n}}\) of G(r,p,n) and show that the Ariki-Koike algebra \({\mathcal{H}_{r,n}}\) is a free module over \({\mathcal{H}_{r,p,n}}\), using the Gröbner-Shirshov basis theory. For each irreducible representation of \({\mathcal{H}_{r,p,n}}\), we give a polynomial basis consisting of linear combinations of the monomials corresponding to cozy tableaux of a given shape.  相似文献

For the multi-channel bulk-arrival queue, M x /M/c, Abol'nikov and Kabak independently obtained steady state results. In this paper the results of these authors are extended, corrected and simplified. A number of measures of efficiency are calculated for three cases where the arrival group size has: (i) a constant value, (ii) a geometric distribution, or (iii) a positive Poisson distribution. The paper also shows how to calculate fractiles for both the queue length and the waiting time distribution. Examples of extensive numerical results for certain measures of efficiency are presented in tabular and chart form.  相似文献

We consider an M/G/1 queue with the following form of customer impatience: an arriving customer balks or reneges when its virtual waiting time, i.e., the amount of work seen upon arrival, is larger than a certain random patience time. We consider the number of customers in the system, the maximum workload during a busy period, and the length of a busy period. We also briefly treat the analogous model in which any customer enters the system and leaves at the end of his patience time or at the end of his virtual sojourn time, whichever occurs first.  相似文献

Summary. Using Fortin operators we give a new proof of stability for Stenbergs family of BDMS elements in linear elasticity. Our approach yields the inf-sup condition with respect to the standard norms, which is indispensable for a posteriori error analysis. Furthermore our technique allows the construction of another family of finite elements strongly related to the classical PEERS element. We show that if K is a compact metric space then C(K) is a 2-absolute Lipschitz retract. We then study the best Lipschitz extension constants for maps into C(K) from a given metric space M, extending recent results of Lancien and Randrianantoanina. They showed that a finite-dimensional normed space which is polyhedral has the isometric extension property for C(K)-spaces; here we show that the same result holds for spaces with Gateaux smooth norm or of dimension two; a three-dimensional counterexample is also given. We also show that X is polyhedral if and only if every subset E of X has the universal isometric extension property for C(K)-spaces. We also answer a question of Naor on the extension of Hölder continuous maps.  相似文献

The paper focuses on the 1-generated positively graded algebras with non-pure resolutions and mainly discusses a new kind of algebras called(s,t,d)-bi-Koszul algebras as the generalization of bi-Koszul algebras. An(s,t,d)-bi-Koszul algebra can be obtained from two periodic algebras with pure resolutions. The generation of the Koszul dual of an(s,t,d)-bi-Koszul algebra is discussed. Based on it,the notion of strongly(s,t,d)-bi-Koszul algebras is raised and their homological properties are further discussed.  相似文献

Granted the three integers n ≥ 2, r, and R, consider all ordered tuples of r elements of length at most R in the free group F n . Calculate the number of those tuples that generate in F n a rank r subgroup and divide it by the number of all tuples under study. In this paper, we reformulate the Euler-Lagrange equations of Willmore surfaces in S^n as the flatness of a family of certain loop algebra-valued 1-forms. Therefore we can give the Weierstrass type representation of conformal Willmore surfaces. We also discuss the relations between conformal Willmore surfaces in S^n and minimal surfaces in constant curvature spaces S^n, R^n, H^n, and prove that some special Willmore surfaces can be derived from minimal surfaces in S^n, R^n, H^n.  相似文献
