Tetrazoles: LII. Synthesis of functionally substituted tetrazoles from benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid derivatives

N,N′,N″-Triarylbenzene-1,3-5-tricarboximidoyl chlorides reacted with sodium azide under conditions of phase-transfer catalysis to give functionally substituted tetrazoles whose subsequent functionalization led to complex heterocyclic structures which may be regarded as first-generation tetrazole-containing dendrimers.     

Disruption of the hexagonal networks of trimesic acid (benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid, TMA) by acetic acid

The single crystal X-ray structure of the acetic acid solvate of trimesic acid shows the complete disruption of the hydrogen-bonded hexagonal networks of TMA by bonding to an acetic acid molecule.     

Two new copper(II) complexes containing the benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid anion and 1,4,7-triazacyclononane

Two new copper(II) complexes, [Cu(tacn)(H₂BTC)₂]·2H₂O (1) and [Cu(tacn)(H₂BTC)(H₂O)](H₂BTC)·5H₂O (2), where H₂BTC^– = the benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid anion and tacn =1,4,7-triazacyclononane, have been synthesized and their structures determined. Copper(II) ions of both (1) and (2) are five-coordinate with three nitrogen atoms of tacn and two oxygen atoms of either H₂BTC^– or H₂O. Hydrogen bonds in these two complexes result in them being differently packed in the crystal cell.     

High-Yield Synthesis of 20-, 24-, and 28-Membered Macropentolide, -hexolide,and -heptolide,Respectively, from (R)- or (S)-3-hydroxybutanoic acid under Yamaguchi's macrolactonization conditions

The macrocyclic pentolide 1 , hexolide 2 , and heptolide 3 constitute ca. 80% of the oligomers formed in ca. 50% yield from enantiomerically pure 3-hydroxybutanoic acid under Yamaguchi's macrolactonization conditions. The FAB mass spectra of the MH⁺, M Na⁺, and MCs⁺ are reported (Figs. 2, 3, 5, and 6). No cyclic tetramer is detected. The ¹H-NMR spectra of the cyclic oligomers, of the monomer, and of the polymer (PHB) are very similar (Fig. 4). Directed synthesis of the open-chain dimer and tetramer of 3-hydroxybutanoic acid and attempted cyclization do not lead to the isolation of the cyclic tetramer.     

(+)-Colletodiol : Synthesis from (S,S)-tartaric acid and (R)-3-hydroxy-butyric acid

E-(R)-5-Hydroxy-2-hexenoic acid (4) and the acetonide of E-(4R,5R,7R)-trihydroxy-2-octenoic acid (3) are joined to give, after deprotection, (+)-colletodiol (1). The syntheses of the two hydroxy-acids from poly-(R)-3-hydroxy-butanoate (PHB) and (?)-tartaric acid, respectively, are outlined.     

四水合均苯三甲酸二氢钴的合成、结构和磁性

利用水热法在均苯三甲酸、六水氯化钴、甲酸铵和水的体系中合成了四水合均苯三甲酸二氢钴。该化合物晶体属于单斜晶系,对应的空间群为P2₁/c。磁性测量表明该化合物的钴离子之间存在反铁磁的相互作用,但直至2 K时也没有观察到磁有序。     

由(1S)-cis-菊酸合成(1R)-cis-二溴菊酸

拟除虫菊脂是在研究天然除虫菊脂化学的基础上发展起来的一类高效低毒,广谱杀虫剂。其中,溴氰菊脂是活性较高,光稳定性较好的一种菊脂类杀虫剂, 它是具有(IRcis.αs) 构型的单一光学异构体。 生产溴氰菊脂的关键中间体是IR-cis-)二溴菊脂。本文报道利用化学剪切法将(is)-cis-菊脂转化为(IR-cis-)二溴菊脂的新方法。     

(R)-4-氰基-3-羟基丁酸乙酯的合成

研究了一条新的路线用于他汀类药物的重要中间体(R)-4-氰基-3-羟基丁酸乙酯的合成. 以廉价、易得的L-(－)-苹果酸为起始原料, 经酯化、还原、溴代和氰化四步反应得到目标化合物(R)-4-氰基-3-羟基丁酸乙酯, 合成总收率为56.7%. 所有中间体和最终产物均由ESI-MS, 1H NMR和13C NMR光谱及比旋光度表征并与文献值比较. 该方法原料易得、操作简便、收率良好, 产物容易分离纯化, 是一条适合大规模制备(R)-4-氰基-3-羟基丁酸乙酯的新合成工艺路线.     

The Synthesis of 3-(R)- and 3-(S)-Hydroxyeicosapentaenoic Acid

Monohydroxylated polyunsaturated fatty acids belonging to the oxylipin class of natural products are present in marine and terrestrial sources as well as in the human body. Due to their biological activities and role in diverse biosynthetic pathways, oxylipins biosynthesized from eicosapentaenoic acid and arachidonic acid have attracted great interest from the scientific community. One example is 3-hydroxyeicosapentaenoic acid where the absolute configuration at C-3 has only been tentatively assigned. In this paper, studies on acetate type aldol reactions that enabled the preparation of 3-(R)-hydroxyeicosapentaenoic acid (3R-HETE, 2) and its enantiomer are presented.     

Synthesis of (R)-3,4-diaminobutanoic acid by desymmetrization of dimethyl 3-(benzylamino)glutarate through enzymatic ammonolysis

Lipase B from Candida antarctica is shown to be a highly efficient catalyst for the desymmetrization of dimethyl 3-(benzylamino)glutarate (1) through aminolysis and ammonolysis reactions. Using this procedure, enantiopure monoamides are obtained in high yield. The synthetic value of these compounds is demonstrated by the preparation of an enantiopure nonnatural amino acid, i.e. (R)-3,4-diaminobutanoic acid [(+)-12].     

Synthesis and characterization of a 1-D porous barium carboxylate coordination polymer, [Ba(HBTB)] (H3BTB = benzene-1,3,5-trisbenzoic acid)

The synthesis and characterization of [Ba(HBTB)] is reported. This is the first porous framework synthesized with barium using carboxylate ligands. The framework has robust microporous character (Langmuir surface area of 879 m(2) g(-1)) and possesses unsaturated metal sites when fully desolvated.     

Trisubstituted 1,3,5-triazines 3. Synthesis of substituted 2,4,6-tris(hydroxyiminomethyl)-1,3,5-triazines

Synthesis of the sialic acid (-)-KDN and certain epimers from (-)-3-dehydroshikimic acid or (-)-quinic acid

(-)-3-Dehydroshikimic acid (3-DHS, 4), a C(7)-building block now available in large quantity from corn syrup, has been converted into the sialic acid (-)-KDN (3) as well as its C-7- and C-8-epimers. (-)-Quinic acid can be used for the same purpose. [structure: see text]     

Heterocyclic compounds from 3-(4-phenyl) benzoyl propionic acid

3-(4-Phenyl) benzoyl propionic acid was used as the starting material for the synthesisof furanones (2), pyrrolinones (5), pyridazinones (7), benzoxazinones (8) and quinazolinones (9-11). The behaviour of the derivatives of furanones and benzoxazinones toward different nucleophiles is reported.     

A metal organic framework prepared from benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid and copper(II), and functionalized with various polysulfides as a sorbent for selective sorption of trace amounts of heavy metal ions

Novel composites were obtained via direct assembly of polysulfides (S_x^2?, X?=?3, 4, 6) on the surface of a metal organic framework (MOF; type benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic/Cu(II). They are referred to as S_x-MOFs and were used for highly selective and efficient extraction of ultra-trace amounts of heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions. The structure of the S_x-MOFs was characterized by Raman spectroscopy, FT-IR, X-ray diffraction, and scanning electron microscopy. The Raman spectra of S_x-MOF is similar to the bare MOF and shows the MOFs structure to be well retained after S_x functionalization. The selective interaction of S_x with soft metal ions and the high surface area of MOFs resulted in excellent affinity and selectivity for ions such as Hg(II). The S_x-MOFs of type S₄-MOF had the highest distribution coefficient K_d value (~10⁷) and best extraction recovery (~100%) for Hg(II). The S₄-MOF also has high selectivity in the following order: Hg(II) >?>?Pb(II)?>?Zn(II)?>?Ni(II)?>?Co(II). The binding process of the metals occurs via M–S bonding. The ions were quantified by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). The detection limit for Hg(II) is 0.13 μg L^?1. The S₄-MOF was applied to the extraction of trace metal ions from natural and contaminated waters and data were compared with other sorbets. The results revealed that S₄-MOF is an excellent adsorbent for sorption of heavy metal ions even in the presence of the relatively high concentration of other ions.

Synthesis of (S)-3-hydroxytetrahydropyran from l-glutamic acid

A concise synthesis of (S)-3-hydroxytetrahydropyran from natural l-glutamic acid has been developed. The intramolecular etherification starting from 1,5-diol was promoted by trifluoromethanesulfonic anhydride. The clinnamates of the alcohols were prepared for accurately determining the optical purity by HPLC method.
