Traces on pseudodifferential operators and sums of commutators

The aim of this paper is to show that various known characterizations of traces on classical pseudodifferential operators can actually be obtained by very elementary considerations on pseudodifferential operators, using only basic properties of these operators. Thereby, we give a unified treatment of the determinations of the space of traces (i) on ΨDOs of non-integer order or of regular parity-class, (ii) on integer order ΨDOs, (iii) on ΨDOs of non-positive orders in dimension ≥ 2, and (iv) on ΨDOs of non-positive orders in dimension 1.

Noncommutative residue for Heisenberg manifolds. Applications in CR and contact geometry

This paper has four main parts. In the first part, we construct a noncommutative residue for the hypoelliptic calculus on Heisenberg manifolds, that is, for the class of ΨHDO operators introduced by Beals-Greiner and Taylor. This noncommutative residue appears as the residual trace on integer order ΨHDOs induced by the analytic extension of the usual trace to non-integer order ΨHDOs. Moreover, it agrees with the integral of the density defined by the logarithmic singularity of the Schwartz kernel of the corresponding ΨHDO. In addition, we show that this noncommutative residue provides us with the unique trace up to constant multiple on the algebra of integer order ΨHDOs. In the second part, we give some analytic applications of this construction concerning zeta functions of hypoelliptic operators, logarithmic metric estimates for Green kernels of hypoelliptic operators, and the extension of the Dixmier trace to the whole algebra of integer order ΨHDOs. In the third part, we present examples of computations of noncommutative residues of some powers of the horizontal sublaplacian and the contact Laplacian on contact manifolds. In the fourth part, we present two applications in CR geometry. First, we give some examples of geometric computations of noncommutative residues of some powers of the horizontal sublaplacian and of the Kohn Laplacian. Second, we make use of the framework of noncommutative geometry and of our noncommutative residue to define lower-dimensional volumes in pseudohermitian geometry, e.g., we can give sense to the area of any 3-dimensional CR manifold endowed with a pseudohermitian structure. On the way we obtain a spectral interpretation of the Einstein-Hilbert action in pseudohermitian geometry.

Global convergence of an SQP method without boundedness assumptions on any of the iterative sequences

Usual global convergence results for sequential quadratic programming (SQP) algorithms with linesearch rely on some a priori assumptions about the generated sequences, such as boundedness of the primal sequence and/or of the dual sequence and/or of the sequence of values of a penalty function used in the linesearch procedure. Different convergence statements use different combinations of assumptions, but they all assume boundedness of at least one of the sequences mentioned above. In the given context boundedness assumptions are particularly undesirable, because even for non-pathological and well-behaved problems the associated penalty functions (whose descent is used to produce primal iterates) may not be bounded below for any value of the penalty parameter. Consequently, boundedness assumptions on the iterates are not easily justifiable. By introducing a very simple and computationally cheap safeguard in the linesearch procedure, we prove boundedness of the primal sequence in the case when the feasible set is nonempty, convex, and bounded. If, in addition, the Slater condition holds, we obtain a complete global convergence result without any a priori assumptions on the iterative sequences. The safeguard consists of not accepting a further increase of constraints violation at iterates which are infeasible beyond a chosen threshold, which can always be ensured by the proposed modified SQP linesearch criterion. Maximal and fractional integral operators on generalized Morrey spaces over metric measure spaces

We establish the boundedness and weak boundedness of the maximal operator and generalized fractional integral operators on generalized Morrey spaces over metric measure spaces without the assumption of the growth condition on μ. The results are generalization and improvement of some known results. We also give the vector‐valued boundedness. Moreover we prove the independence of the choice of the parameter in the definition of generalized Morrey spaces by using the geometrically doubling condition in the sense of Hytönen.     

有限时滞随机微分输出系统的p阶矩有界性(英文)

本文研究了有限时滞随机微分输出系统的p阶矩有界性. 利用Liapunov第二方法和Razumikhin型条件,获得了关p阶矩一致有界、p阶矩一致有界且最终有界、p阶矩一致有界且一致最终有界的一些充分条件.     

赋准范空间之间线性算子的五种有界性与连续性

综合散见于多种文献的不同描述,明确线性算子拓扑有界、邻域有界、范有界与强有界的定义,引进次强有界的概念,给出赋准范空间之间与赋β-范空间之间线性算子的各种有界性以及连续性之间的关系定理与反例.     

A NOTE ON A COVERING LEMMA OF A CORDOBA AND R FEFFERMAN~(**)

This note simplifies Cordoba-Fefferman's proof on the weak boundedness of strong maximal operator M_8 (with respect to dμ) on L(1+log~(+(n-1))L). Some two-weighted boundedness results on L(1+log~(+α)L) of M_8 are investigated.     

Poisson Total Boundedness of Solutions of Systems of Differential Equations and Lyapunov Vector Functions

We introduce the notions of Poisson total boundedness of solutions, partial Poisson total boundedness of solutions, and partial Poisson total boundedness of solutions with partly controlled initial conditions. We use the Lyapunov vector function method to obtain sufficient conditions for the Poisson total boundedness of solutions, the partial Poisson total boundedness of solutions, and the partial Poisson total boundedness of solutions with partly controlled initial conditions. As a consequence, we obtain sufficient conditions for the above-mentioned kinds of Poisson total boundedness of solutions based on the Lyapunov function method.

     

Ultimate boundedness with respect to part of the variables of solutions of systems of differential equations with partly controlled initial conditions

We introduce the notions of equiultimate boundedness and uniform ultimate boundedness with respect to part of the variables for solutions with partly controlled initial conditions. We obtain sufficient conditions for the equiultimate boundedness and uniform ultimate boundedness with respect to part of the variables of solutions with partly controlled initial conditions. We introduce the notions of equiboundedness and uniform boundedness with respect to part of the variables for solutions of systems with partly controlled initial conditions. We obtain sufficient conditions for the equiboundedness and uniform boundedness with respect to part of the variables of solutions with partly controlled initial conditions.

Partial uniform boundedness of solutions of systems of differential equations with partly controlled initial conditions
