The synthesis of two new heterocycles is described: pyrido-[2,3-d]-.s-triazolo[ 3,4-f] pyrimidine and pyrido[3,2-d]-.s-triayzolo-[3,4-f] pyrimidine. 4-[I'-Pyrazolyl]pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines and 4-[1′-pyrazoly1] pyrido[ 3,2-d] pyrimidine are obtained by the action of 4-hydrazinopyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine and 4-hydrazinopyrido-[3,2-d]pyrimidine with several β-diketones.

This communication describes the synthesis of a new heterocycle, pyrido[4,3-c]-as-triazine, its 3-methyl derivative, and their nmr spectral data.     

Synthèse et étude physicochimique des 1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-a]-pyridines et des 1,2,4-triazolo[2,3-a]pyridines

The synthesis of 1,2,4-triazolo[4,3-a] and [2,3-a]pyridines 7, 8 was achieved by cyclization of 2-hydrazino-8-nitropyridine 3a with formic acid. The 4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1,2,4-triazolo[2,3-a]pyridine 13 and 8-amino-1,2,4-triazolo[2,3-a]pyridine 9 were obtained by catalytic hydrogenation. The reduction of triazolo pyridine 8 using stannous chloride led to the intermediate compound 10 which with acetic anhydride afforded 8-acetylamino-5-chloro-1,2,4-triazolo[2,3-a]pyridine 10a . The structure of the derivatives was determined by ¹H-nmr (DMSO-d₆).     

Synthèse du mèthyl-1 diformyl-2,3 pyrrole,de la méthyl-1 pyrrolo[2,3-d] pyridazine et de la méthyl-1 oxo-6 (6h)cycloheptatrieno[b] pyrrole

This communication describes the synthesis of l-methyl-2,3-diformylpyrrole. This new compound is used to prepare a new heterocycle, l-methylcyclohepta[b]pyrrol-6-one and thus allows a new synthesis of l-methylpyrrolo[2,3-d]pyridazine.     

Pyrrolothienopyrazines: Synthèse de la pyrrolo[1,2-a]thieno[3,2-e]pyrazine et de la pyrrolo[1,2-a]thieno[2,3-e]pyrazine

The synthesis of pyrrolo[1,2-α]thieno[3,2-e]pyrazine and pyrrolo[1,2-α]-thieno[2,3-e]pyrazine is described. These syntheses could be achieved by intramolecular cyclization of 2- (and 3-) (1-pyrrolyl)-3- (and -2)-thienyl-amines obtained by hydrolysis of carbamates or by cleavage of the corresponding ureas. An original way giving better results was also studied via a Curtius rearrangement by reaction between the azide and aldehyde groupings. The synthesis of 2- (and -3)-2-formyl-1-pyrrolyl)-2- (and -3)-thenoylazide is described.     

Synthése de la benzopyranno[1][2,3-b]quinoxalinone-12

3-Benzyl-2-quinoxalinones were obtained by condensation of o-phenyl-enediamine with phenylpyruvic acids. These quinoxalinones were easily substituted in position 2 and which permitted the preparation of many derivatives, however, cyclisation of these compounds into 12H-[1]benzopyrano[2,3-b]quinoxalines failed. This new heterocycle might be synthesized from ethyl 2-phenoxy-3-quinoxalinecarboxylate.

4,4-Dimethyl-dihydro-2,3-furanedione ( 4 ), an intermediate in the synthesis of (+)-D -pantothenic acid, is obtained in good yield from readily available substances such as isopropyl chloride, diethyl oxalate and formaldehyde, without oxidative conditions.

We describe the first synthesis of 2-arylbenzo[4,5]thieno-[2,3-b]pyran-4-one and of 2-arylbenzo [4,5] thieno [3,2-b] pyran-4-one, from benzo [4,5] thiophene and we have extended these cyclizations to obtain the heterocyclic analogs of the xanthones.     

Synthèse et propriétés photochromiques de 1, 3-dihydrospiro[2H-indole-2,3′-[3H]pyrimido[5,4-f][1,4]benzoxazines] et de 1,3-dihydrospiro[2H-indole-2,7′-[7H]thiazolo[5,4-f][1,4]benzoxazines]

Synthesis and Photochrmic Characteristics of 1,3-Dihydrospiro[2H-indole-2,3′-[3H-]pyrimido[5,4-f][1,4]benzoxazines] and 1,3-Dihydrospiro[2H-indole-2,7′[7H]thiazolo[5,4-f][1,4]benzoxazines] Two new series of 1,3-dihydrospiro[2H-indole-ozazine] derivatives were synthesized, the 1,3-dihydrospiro[2H-indole-2,3′-[3H]pyrimido[5,4]pyrimido[5,4-f][1,4]benzoxaines] 4-10 and the 1,3-dihydrospiro[2H-indole2,7′-[7H]thiazolo-[5,4-f][1,4]benzoxaines] 11–17 . These series extend the available range of photochromic properties (rate constant of thermal bleaching, UV/VIS spectrum of the opened coloured form, and photocoloration yield), an interesting feature of variable-transmission materials. The synthesis of these compounds (Scheme 1) required the preliminary synthesis of intermediate β-hydroxy-α-nitrosotherocycles 18 and 19 (Scheme 2). Important amounts of a coloured, non-photochromic, stable secondary product (See 20 ) were found in the condensation in the spiro[indole-thiazolobenzoxazine] series. The photochromic characteristics of the new derivatives were determined using a flash-photolysis apparatus coupled to a fast-scanning spectrometer. The role of the heteroatoms in the oxazine moiety and the role of substitutents in the indole moiety were investigated quantitatively through the study of the photochromic properties and the solvent effects. The presence of an S-atom gives rise to interesting properties which open up new prospects for synthesis and application.     

Synthèse d'analogues furannique et nitro-2 furannique du benzo[e]pyrène

Pyreno[4,5-b]furan, a heterocyclic analogue of benzo[e]pyrene, and its 10-nitro derivative were prepared in six steps staring from 5-formyl-4-hydroxypyrene. These isomers of the previously described pyreno[1,2-b]-furan, pyreno[2,1-b]furan, 10-nitopyreno[1,2-b]furan and 10-nitropyreno-[2,1-b]furan are of particular interest due to their mutagenic activities.

The reaction between an aminopyrazolone and a β-dicarbonyl compound has been studies. The orientation of the cyclo-condensation is dependent on the nature of each precursor.     

Synthèse de dérivés de la benzo[c] quinolizine

The introduction of polar groups in planar polycyclic systems, for the purpose of studying their intercalating action, has been realized in the benzo[c]quinolizinium series. A functionalizing synthesis has been developed from 2-picolyl-and quinaldyllithium. Intermediate ketones or imines were cyclized by a quaternization reaction involving a concerted process. Structure and physico-chemical features of the compounds prepared were studied.     

Synthèse d'analogues furanniques du benzo[a]pyrène

We describe here the synthesis of 2-furan analogues of benzo[a]pyrene from 1-bromo-kpyrene, i.e., pyreno[1,2-b]furan and pyreno[2,1-b]furan, as well as that of their derivatives bearing a nitro group on the heterocycles.     

Pyrazines. 2ème communication [1]. II. Synthèse de dihydro-6,7-5H-cyclopenta[b]pyrazines alkylées

Alkyl-5H-6,7-dihydrocyclopenta[b]pyrazines are prepared by condensation of cyclopentenolones with alkylenediamines or of aliphatic α-diketones with 1,2-diaminocyclo pentanes. Products so obtained were dehydrogenated using palladium on activated charcoal, or copper chromite. NMR. and mass spectra are given for 21 bicyclic pyrazines and intermediates, and their IR. spectra are compared.     

Synthèse et réactivité des bromhydrines dérivées de la chromone

Bromohydroxylated derivatives of chromone are obtained by addition of N-bromosuccinimide in dimethylsulfoxide. The configuration and conformation of these compounds are confirmed by NMR spectroscopy. Alkaline alcoholates react with these bromohydrins to give a ring contraction into 2-formyl-3-benzofuranone.     

Synthèse de nouveaux alkyl-2 et -3 tétrahydrofurannes et -pyrannes

New 2- and 3-alkyltetrahydrofurans or -pyrans were synthesized by various methods which can be extended to a larger series. These compounds include tertiary and quaternary α carbon substituted heterocycles, a very few of which were already known.
