A relatively new approach to analyzing integrability, based upon differential-algebraic and symplectic techniques, is applied to some “dark equations ”of the type introduced by Boris Kupershmidt. These dark equations have unusual properties and are not particularly well-understood. In particular, dark three-component polynomial Burgers type systems are studied in detail. Their matrix Lax representations are constructed, and the related symmetry recursion operators and infinite hierarchies of integrable nonlinear dynamical systems along with their Lax representations are derived. New linear Lax spectral problems for dark integrable countable hierarchies of dynamical systems are proposed and some special cases are considered as a means of indicating that the approach presented is applicable to a far wider class of dark equations than analyzed here.  相似文献

A complete scalar classification for dark Sharma-Tasso-Olver's(STO's) equations is derived by requiring the existence of higher order differential polynomial symmetries. There are some free parameters for every class of dark STO systems, thus some special equations including symmetry equation and dual symmetry equation are obtained by selecting a free parameter. Furthermore, the recursion operators of STO equation and dark STO systems are constructed by a direct assumption method.  相似文献

For dark soliton solutions of the NLS equation, an inverse scattering transform is redeveloped. Deductions are essentially simplified in terms of an auxiliary spectral parameter from the beginning. Equations of inverse scattering transform in the form of Zakharov-Shabat are found to be simpler than those in the form of Marchenko. An explicate expression for the dark N-soliton solution and its asymptotic behaviors in the limits as t →±∞ are simply derived.  相似文献

We present a new approach to the mathematical objects of General Relativity in terms of which a generic f(R)-gravity theory gravitation is written in a first-order (à la Palatini) formalism, and introduce the concept of Dark Metric which could bypass the emergence of disturbing concepts as Dark Energy and Dark Matter. These issues are related to the fact that General Relativity could not be the definitive theory of Gravitation due to several shortcomings that come out both from theoretical and experimental viewpoints. At large scales, the attempts to match it with the recent observational data lead to invoke Dark Energy and Dark Matter as the bulk components of the cosmic fluid. Since no final evidence, at fundamental level, exists for such ingredients, it could be useful to reconsider the gravitational sector in order to see if suitable extensions of General Relativity could solve the shortcomings present at infrared scales.  相似文献

I review the development of the concept of dark matter. The dark matter story passed through several stages, from a minor observational puzzle to a major challenge for theory of elementary particles. Modern data suggest that dark matter is the dominant matter component in the Universe and that it consists of some unknown non-baryonic particles. We propose a model of Dark Supersymmetry, where a supersymmetric dark sector is coupled to the classically scale invariant non-supersymmetric Standard Model through the Higgs portal. The dark sector contains a mass scale that is protected against radiative corrections by supersymmetry, and the portal coupling mediates this scale to the Standard Model, resulting in a vacuum expectation value for the Higgs field and the usual electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism. The supersymmetric dark sector contains dark matter candidates, and we show that the observed dark matter abundance is generated for a natural choice of parameters, while avoiding the current experimental bounds on direct detection. Future experiments can probe this scenario if the dark sector mass scale is not too high.  相似文献

Dark matters     
Despite the new results on the estimate of cosmological parameters, the need for dark matter, both baryonic and nonbaryonic, galactic and intergalactic, is still with us. For baryonic dark matter the remaining possibilities are mostly either intergalactic hot gas or massive compact halo objects. For nonbaryonic dark matter the most likely candidates are the so-called WIMPs, the prototype of which could be the lightest supersymmetric particle. These particles are actively searched for at accelerators and, in our neighborhood, through direct detection or by their annihilation products.  相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate and model dark spatial solitons in azo-doped liquid crystals, in the presence of saturation and nonlocality of the effective nonlinearity due to changes in molecular order. Recent attempts to explain the dark matter and energy content of the universe have involved some radical extensions of standard physics, including quintessence, phantom energy, additional space dimensions, and variations in the speed of light. In this paper I consider the possibility that some dark matter might be in the form of tachyons. I show that, subject to some reasonable assumptions, a tachyonic cosmological fluid would produce distinctive effects, such as a surge in quantum vacuum energy and particle creation, and a change in the conventional temperature–time relation for the normal cosmological material. This article reviews the status of the exciting and fastly evolving field of dark matter research as of summer 2013, when it was discussed at the International Cosmic Ray Conference (ICRC) 2013 in Rio de Janeiro. It focuses on the three main avenues to detect weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) dark matter: direct detection, indirect detection, and collider searches. 由于普通材料的固有耗散在低频区域的微弱性,长久以来,低频声波的衰减一直都是一个颇具挑战性的任务.为了能够在100—1000Hz范围内完全吸收某些频率的低频声波,文章作者设计了一种薄膜型的暗声学超材料样品:它是由在弹性薄膜上镶嵌有一些非对称性的硬质金属片而制成.实验表明,该样品在低频区域几乎能够百分之百地吸收声波,而在共振吸收频率处,空气中的声波波长要比薄膜的厚度大3个数量级以上.当共振发生时,硬质金属片的"拍动"导致很大的弹性曲率能量聚集在金属片的边界附近.由于薄膜的拍动模式与声波的辐射模式仅存在微弱的耦合作用,而弹性薄膜的整体能量密度又比入射声波的能量密度大2—3个数量级,该样品本质上是一个开放的共振腔,这也是它能够高效地吸收低频声波的原因所在.  相似文献
