The low energy conformations of the three tautomers, imine-enol, enamine-keto and imine-keto forms of the title compound have been determined at the B3LYP/6-31 + G(d) level of theory using the relaxed PES scan method and their geometries have been refined at B3LYP/6-311 + G(d,p) and PBE0/6-311 + G(d,p) levels. The results show that the title compound exists in the imine-enol tautomeric form, in contrast to the enamine-keto form which exists in the solid crystalline state, followed by enamine-keto and imine-keto forms with extremely low abundances. The geometry parameters of all tautomeric forms calculated at PBE0/6-311 + G(d,p) and B3LYP/6-311 + G(d,p) levels have been compared with those from the experimental X-ray diffraction. The vibrational (FT-IR and Raman) spectroscopic studies of the most stable tautomer, enamine-keto form have been carried out. The assignment of the fundamental bands observed in the IR and Raman spectra have been facilitated by the SQM force field procedure. The frequencies from SQM procedure have a very good fit to the experimental ones. The total root-mean-square error is only ca. 11 cm−1.  相似文献

The infrared spectra of ethylmethylfluorosilane (CH3SiHFCH2CH3) have been recorded as a vapour, liquid and solid at 78 K in the 4000–50 cm−1 range and isolated in an argon matrix at ca. 5 K. Infrared spectra of two different solid phases were obtained after annealing to temperatures of 120 and 130 K, and recooling to 78 K. Although the IR spectra were quite similar in the MIR region, certain differences were noted in the FIR region below 400 cm−1. The most stable conformer MeMe was present after annealing to 130 K, but three bands belonging to MeH were detected after annealing to 120 K. Various infrared bands changed intensity when the argon matrix was annealed to temperatures between 20 and 35 K, and some of these were related to changes in the conformational abundance.Raman spectra of the liquid were recorded at room temperature and at various temperatures between 295 and 153 K. Spectra of an amorphous and annealed solid were recorded at 78 K. In the variable temperature Raman spectra, various bands changed in intensity and were interpreted in terms of conformational equilibria between the three possible conformers. Complete assignments were made for all the bands of the most stable conformer MeMe. From various bands assigned to the three conformers, the conformational enthalpy difference ΔH from MeMe to the intermediate energy conformer MeH was found to be 0.5 kJ mol−1 and to the highest conformer MeF was 0.7 kJ mol−1. At ambient temperature this leads to 39% MeMe, 32% MeH and 29% of the MeF conformer in the liquid.Ab initio calculations in the RHF, MP2, DFT approximations and very accurate G2 calculations were carried out. With one exception, the MeMe conformer had the lowest enthalpy in all these calculations, the MeH had the intermediate and the MeF the highest enthalpy, and the calculations were in good agreement with the measurements.  相似文献

Piperidinium cation-based room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) constitute an important class of ILs because of their unique electrochemical properties as well as non-aromatic nature of the cation. However, detailed structural studies are yet to be done. In this paper, we discuss the molecular structure and vibrational spectra of N-butyl-N-methylpiperidinium bis(trifluromethanesulfonyl) imide, (PIP14NTf2; where, PIP14 is N-butyl-N-methylpiperidinium and NTf2 is bis(trifluromethanesulfonyl) imide), obtained with a combined approach of infrared (IR) and Raman spectroscopies in the liquid state and density functional theory (DFT) and Hartree–Fock (H–F) based theoretical calculations. DFT calculations, which are found to produce the most stable geometry compared to other two methods (MP2 and H–F), reproduce the experimental IR and Raman spectra reasonably well. Our findings reveal structural properties that profoundly influence intermolecular interactions and melting point. There exists a large variation in the melting point of the ILs studied. While the bromide salt of the piperidinium derivative (PIP14Br) is solid with very high melting point (241 °C), the corresponding NTf2 salt is low viscous liquid at room temperature (mp: −25 °C). bmimBr (bmim = 1-butyl-1-methylimidazolium) exhibits a substantially lower melting point of 79 °C than PIP14Br, suggesting that more number of strong classical hydrogen bonding interactions in the latter is primarily responsible for the much higher melting point. In addition, involvement of the alkyl group in PIP14 in H-bonding interaction provides additional rigidity in n-butyl chain which is otherwise absent in bmimBr. Interaction energy for PIP14Br is found to be higher than PIP14NTf2, showing a positive correlation between interaction energy and melting point. A blue shift in CH stretching wavenumber as evident from IR and Raman spectra of PIP14Br IL is a clear indication of the stronger hydrogen bonding as compared to PIP14NTf2 IL. Furthermore, we experimentally observe the existence of cisoid–transoid conformational equilibrium of NTf2 anion in the Raman spectrum of PIP14NTf2 for the first time and determined that transoid NTf2 anion to be more stable than the corresponding cisoid conformer by 1.04 kcal/mol using DFT. Examination of various conformational possibilities of the cation shows that the butyl group preferentially exists in gauche conformation.  相似文献

Results of inelastic neutron scattering (INS), infra-red (IR), Raman and 1H NMR spectroscopy used for investigations on the l-asparagine dynamics are reported. The crystallographic structure and experimental vibrational spectra are compared with those calculated by the DFT methods applied to the solid state. Very good conformity of the experimental and theoretical structures has been found. The NH3+ torsional vibration mode is observed in the INS spectra at 494 cm−1, while the bands assigned to the vibrations of the strong NH⋯O hydrogen bonds are observed at 2849, 2650, and 2480 cm−1 in the IR spectrum. A 1H NMR investigation has been carried out at 26.75 MHz in the temperature range 150–300 K. For l-asparagine the activation energy needed for the NH3+ group reorientation is equal 5.6 kcal/mol.  相似文献

Raman and infrared (IR) spectroscopy are complementary spectroscopic techniques. However, measurement of Raman and IR spectra are commonly carried out on separate instruments. A dispersive system that enables both Raman spectroscopy and NIR spectroscopy was designed, built, and tested. The prototype system measures spectral ranges of 2600–300 cm−1 and 752–987 nm for Raman and NIR channels, respectively. A wavelength accuracy better than 0.6 nm and spectral resolution better than 1 nm (14.4 cm−1 for Raman channel) could be achieved with our configuration. The linearity of spectral response was better than 99.8%. The intensity stability of the instrument was found to be 0.7% and 0.4% for Raman and NIR channels, respectively. The performance of the instrument was evaluated using binary aqueous solutions of ethanol and ovalbumin. It was found that ethanol concentrations (2–10%) could be predicted with a root mean squared error of prediction (RMSEP) of 0.45% using Raman peak height at 882.2 cm−1. Quantification of ovalbumin concentration (8–16 g/L) in aqueous solutions and in denatured states yielded RMSEP values of 1.05 g/L and 0.74 g/L, respectively. Using concentration as external perturbation in two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2DCOS), heterospectral correlation analysis revealed the relationship between NIR and Raman spectra.  相似文献

The infrared (IR) spectroscopic data and Raman spectroscopic properties for a series of 13 “pinwheel-like” homoleptic bis(phthalocyaninato) rare earth complexes M[Pc(α-OC5H11)4]2 [M = Y and Pr–Lu except Pm; H2Pc(α-OC5H11)4 = 1,8,15,22-tetrakis(3-pentyloxy)phthalocyanine] have been collected and comparatively studied. Both the IR and Raman spectra for M[Pc(α-OC5H11)4]2 are more complicated than those of homoleptic bis(phthalocyaninato) rare earth analogues, namely M(Pc)2 and M[Pc(OC8H17)8]2, but resemble (for IR) or are a bit more complicated (for Raman) than those of heteroleptic counterparts M(Pc)[Pc(α-OC5H11)4], revealing the decreased molecular symmetry of these double-decker compounds, namely S8. Except for the obvious splitting of the isoindole breathing band at 1110–1123 cm−1, the IR spectra of M[Pc(α-OC5H11)4]2 are quite similar to those of corresponding M(Pc)[Pc(α-OC5H11)4] and therefore are similarly assigned. With laser excitation at 633 nm, Raman bands derived from isoindole ring and aza stretchings in the range of 1300–1600 cm−1 are selectively intensified. The IR spectra reveal that the frequencies of pyrrole stretching and pyrrole stretching coupled with the symmetrical CH bending of –CH3 groups are sensitive to the rare earth ionic size, while the Raman technique shows that the bands due to the isoindole stretchings and the coupled pyrrole and aza stretchings are similarly affected. Nevertheless, the phthalocyanine monoanion radical Pc′ IR marker band of bis(phthalocyaninato) complexes involving the same rare earth ion is found to shift to lower energy in the order M(Pc)2 > M(Pc)[Pc(α-OC5H11)4] > M[Pc(α-OC5H11)4]2, revealing the weakened π–π interaction between the two phthalocyanine rings in the same order.  相似文献

FTIR spectra of nicotinamide and its N-oxide have been recorded and analyzed in the range 400–4000 cm?1. The stabilities, optimized molecular geometries, APT charges and vibrational characteristics for the two possible conformers of nicotinamide and its N-oxide have been studied theoretically using restricted Hartree–Fock (RHF) and density functional theory (DFT) methods. The E (trans) conformers of nicotinamide and its N-oxide are found to be more stable and less polar than their respective Z (cis) conformers. Due to addition of an O atom at the N1 site in the NA molecule the magnitudes of atomic charges on all the H atomic sites are found to increase. For all the studied molecules, magnitude of the wagging mode of the NH2 group is found to be higher than its torsion mode, which is in the reverse order as compared to that for the aniline molecule. Most of the vibrational frequencies have nearly the same magnitude for the two conformers of nicotinamide and its N-oxide, however, significant changes are noticed in their IR intensities, Raman activities and depolarization ratios of the Raman bands. The frequency of the ring breathing mode for the NA molecule is found to decrease by 100 cm?1 in going to the NANO molecule for both the conformers. The IR intensity for the scissoring mode of the CON(H2) group is found to decrease significantly for the NA-II conformer as compared to that for the NA-I conformer.  相似文献

In the presence of methane, the IR spectrum of the PPO membrane has changed at bands 3200–2600 cm−1 and 1300 cm−1. This phenomenon is reversible. When air is passed through the methane treated sample, the IR spectra regained its original shape and intensity. This indicates that methane interacts with the polymer molecule and forms an unstable complex.  相似文献

The present investigation reports the effect of influence of aluminum ions on radiation damage of strontium borosilicate glasses studied by means of spectroscopic (viz., optical absorption (OA), infrared and Raman spectra). The composition of the glasses chosen for the study is 40SrO–xAl2O3–(15-x) B2O3–40SiO2 (x = 5, 7.5, 10), all in mol%. The glasses were synthesized by conventional melt quenching method. Later, the samples were exposed to gamma (γ) radiation dose of strengths 10 kGy and 30 kGy with a dose rate of 1.5 Gy/s using 60Co as radiation source. The infrared spectra (IR), Raman spectra and optical absorption (OA) spectra of the samples were recorded at ambient temperature before and after irradiation. The OA spectra of the pre-irradiated samples do not exhibit any absorption bands in the UV–vis regions and IR and Raman spectra exhibited conventional vibrational bands due to different borate, silicate AlO4 and AlO6 structural units. The OA spectra of post irradiated samples exhibited a broad absorption band in the wavelength region 600–750 nm; it is attributed to electron trapped color centers. The intensity of this peak is observed to increase with increase of the γ-ray dose. Considerable changes in the intensities of various bands in the IR and Raman spectra were also observed. The changes were explained based on structural modifications taking place in the glass network due to γ-ray irradiation and finally it is concluded that the glasses mixed with 10.0 mol% of Al2O3 are relatively more radiation resistant.  相似文献

Syngenite (K2Ca(SO4)2·H2O), formed during treatment of manure with sulphuric acid, was studied by infrared, near-infrared (NIR) and Raman spectroscopy. Cs site symmetry was determined for the two sulphate groups in syngenite (P21/m), so all bands are both infrared and Raman active. The split ν1 (two Raman+two infrared bands) was observed at 981 and 1000 cm−1. The split ν2 (four Raman+four infrared bands) was observed in the Raman spectrum at 424, 441, 471 and 491 cm−1. In the infrared spectrum, only one band was observed at 439 cm−1. From the split ν3 (six Raman+six infrared) bands three 298 K Raman bands were observed at 1117, 1138 and 1166 cm−1. Cooling to 77 K resulted in four bands at 1119, 1136, 1144 and 1167 cm−1. In the infrared spectrum, five bands were observed at 1110, 1125, 1136, 1148 and 1193 cm−1. From the split ν4 (six infrared+six Raman bands) four bands were observed in the infrared spectrum at 604, 617, 644 and 657 cm−1. The 298 K Raman spectrum showed one band at 641 cm−1, while at 77 K four bands were observed at 607, 621, 634 and 643 cm−1. Crystal water is observed in the infrared spectrum by the OH-liberation mode at 754 cm−1, OH-bending mode at 1631 cm−1, OH-stretching modes at 3248 (symmetric) and 3377 cm−1 (antisymmetric) and a combination band at 3510 cm−1 of the H-bonded OH-mode plus the OH-stretching mode. The near-infrared spectrum gave information about the crystal water resulting in overtone and combination bands of OH-liberation, OH-bending and OH-stretching modes.  相似文献

Raman spectra of mineral peretaite Ca(SbO)4(OH)2(SO4)2·2H2O were studied, and related to the structure of the mineral. Raman bands observed at 978 and 980 cm?1 and a series of overlapping bands observed at 1060, 1092, 1115, 1142 and 1152 cm?1 are assigned to the SO42? ν1 symmetric and ν3 antisymmetric stretching modes. Raman bands at 589 and 595 cm?1 are attributed to the SbO symmetric stretching vibrations. The low intensity Raman bands at 650 and 710 cm?1 may be attributed to SbO antisymmetric stretching modes. Raman bands at 610 cm?1 and at 417, 434 and 482 cm?1 are assigned to the SO42? ν4 and ν2 bending modes, respectively. Raman bands at 337 and 373 cm?1 are assigned to O–Sb–O bending modes. Multiple Raman bands for both SO42? and SbO stretching vibrations support the concept of the non-equivalence of these units in the peretaite structure.  相似文献

We performed a feasibility test of the cosmetic ingredient kinetin (KT)-gold nanoparticle (AuNP) conjugates by means of vibrational Raman spectroscopy and quantum mechanical calculations. The adsorptions of KT on AuNP surfaces were examined by absorption spectra and surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). The size of KT at the initial concentrations of 10−5 M with the AuNP composites was measured to be 22 nm. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were performed to estimate the energetic stabilities of KT on an Au cluster atom. The two tautomeric forms of 9H-amino and 7H-amino in KT are predicted to have similar energies on Au. The N3-coordinating geometries in both 9H-amino and 7H-amino forms of KT are predicted to be most stable on an Au cluster. Vibrational analysis also suggested that the two tautomers of KT should coexist in the adsorbed state on Au. The concentration-dependent SERS spectra of KT indicated that 5 × 10−5 M exhibited the highest SERS signals.  相似文献

Raman spectra of coquandite Sb6O8(SO4)·(H2O) were studied, and related to the structure of the mineral. Raman bands observed at 970, 990 and 1007 cm?1 and a series of overlapping bands are observed at 1072, 1100, 1151 and 1217 cm?1 are assigned to the SO42? ν1 symmetric and ν3 antisymmetric stretching modes respectively. Raman bands at 629, 638, 690, 751 and 787 cm?1 are attributed to the SbO stretching vibrations. Raman bands at 600 and 610 cm?1 and at 429 and 459 cm?1 are assigned to the SO42? ν4 and ν2 bending modes. Raman bands at 359 and 375 cm?1 are assigned to O–Sb–O bending modes. Multiple Raman bands for both SO42? and SbO stretching vibrations support the concept of the non-equivalence of these units in the coquandite structure.  相似文献

The redox dye Toluidine Blue (TB), adsorbed and electropolymerized at a roughened gold electrode, has been studied by Raman spectroscopy at λex of 676.4 nm in an electrochemical cell. Most of the spectral bands have been assigned based on density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The number and position of the bands, as well as their intensity depend on electrode potential and solution pH, allowing one to discern different redox forms of TB or its polymer. Raman spectra, obtained in an acidic solution (pH 1.0) at a low electrode potential (−0.2 to 0.0 V vs. Ag/AgCl) are of low intensity, and correspond to the reduced (leucoform) of TB. At a higher potential (0.2–1.0 V), the intensity increases significantly, presumably due to resonance enhancement, and new bands appear, corresponding to oxidized form of TB. In a pH-neutral solution, the changes in spectra with varying electrode potential are less expressed. The observed changes in band positions and intensities have been analyzed.  相似文献

Mixed alkali borotungstate glasses with xLi2O–(30  x)Na2O–10WO3–60B2O3 (0  x  30) composition were prepared by melt quench technique. FT-IR and Raman spectroscopic studies were employed to investigate the structure of all the prepared glasses. Acting as complementary techniques, both IR and Raman measurements revealed that the network structure of the present glasses mainly based on BO3 and BO4 units placed in different structural groups. Raman spectra confirm the IR results regarding the presence of tungsten ions mainly as WO6 groups. In the present work, the mixed alkali effect (MAE) has been investigated in the above glass system using FTIR and Raman studies.  相似文献

Raman spectrum of the meso tetraphenylporphine (TPP) deposited onto smooth copper surface as thin film were recorded in the region 200–1700 cm−1. To investigate the effect of meso-phenyl substitution rings on the vibrational spectrum of free base porphyrin, we calculated Raman and infrared (IR) spectra of the meso-tetraphenylporphine (TPP), meso tetramethylporphine (TMP), copper (II)porphine (CuPr) and free base porphine (FBP) at the B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p) level of the density functional theory (DFT). The observed Raman spectrum of the TPP is assigned based on the calculated its Raman spectrum in connection with the calculated spectra of the TMP, CuPr and FBP by taking into account of their corresponding vibrational motions of the Raman modes of frequencies. Results of the calculations clearly indicated that the meso tetraphenyl substitution rings are totally responsible for the observed Raman bands at ∼1593, 1234 and 1002 cm−1. The calculated and observed Raman spectra also suggested that the observed Raman band with a medium intense at 962 cm−1 might result from the surface plasmon effect. Furthermore, the observed Raman bands with medium intense at ∼334 and ∼201 cm−1 are as results of the dimerization or aggregation of the TPP or would be that related to intramolecular interaction. We also calculated IR spectra of these molecules at same level of the theory. To investigate the solvent effect on the vibrational spectrum of porphine, the Raman and IR spectra of the TPP and FBP are calculated in solution phase where water used as solvent. The results of these calculation indicated that there is no any significant effect on the vibrational spectrum of the TPP.  相似文献

The structure of the complex of dimethylphenyl betaine (DMPB) with dichloroacetic acid (DCA) (1) has been investigated by X-ray diffraction, FTIR and Raman spectroscopy, and B3LYP/6-311 + + G(d,p) calculations. The crystal is monoclinic, space group P21. The acid is connected with betaine through the OH⋯O hydrogen bond of 2.480(2) Å. In the optimized structure the short, asymmetric O⋯O distance is 2.491 Å. FTIR spectrum shows a broad absorption in the 1500–400 cm−1 region characteristic of very short OH⋯O hydrogen bond caused by Fermi resonance between νOH and overtones of δOH and γOH. In the Raman spectrum this broad absorption is not observed. The potential energy distributions (PED) were used for the assignments of IR and Raman frequencies in the experimental and calculated spectra. The FTIR and Raman spectra of the crystal complex are consistent with the X-ray results.  相似文献

The far-infrared and Raman spectra of binuclear molecules [Me2AuX]2 (X = Cl, Br, I) and [Me2Au(OOCR)]2 (R = Me, CF3, But, Ph) in the 600–70 cm−1 region are reported. The experimentally measured vibrational frequencies of [Me2AuX]2 are in a good agreement with density functional theory predictions. The Au…Au vibrational interactions predicted to be in the 270–60 cm−1 region of [Me2AuX]2 far-IR and Raman spectra have been observed. The Raman-active Au…Au vibrations of the [Me2Au(OOCR)]2 molecules were found to be in the same region as those of [Me2AuX]2. The Au–X stretching modes were observed between 100 and 250 cm−1 in accordance with the DFT predictions. Their frequencies in the IR spectra of [Me2AuX]2 increase in the sequence I < Br < Cl while the AuC2 stretching frequencies decrease in the same order. This fact might be an evidence of the decreasing covalent character of the gold-halogen bridges. The Au–O stretching bands of dimethylgold(III) carboxylates have been observed in the 500–250 cm−1 region, and Au–C stretching frequencies of both [Me2AuX]2 and [Me2Au(OOCR)]2 compounds have been found between 600 and 500 cm−1.  相似文献

The structural and vibrational properties of caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) were studied using infrared and Raman spectroscopy in the solid phase and multidimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy in solution. The theoretical structures of the compound and of its dimer in the gas phase and in DMSO solution by using density functional theory (DFT) were studied. The harmonic vibrational frequencies for the optimized geometry of CAPE and its dimeric species were calculated at the B3LYP level of theory using the 6–31G* basis set. These data allow a complete assignment of the vibration modes of the FTIR and Raman spectra in the solid state using the scaled quantum mechanical force field (SQMFF) methodology. The vibrational analysis for the dimer was performed taking into account the correlation diagram by means of the factor group analysis in accordance with the experimental structure determined by X-ray diffraction. The presence of the dimer of CAPE is supported by the IR bands at 1654, 1635, 1563, 1533, 1300, 1107, 1050, 738 cm−1 and the Raman bands at 1684, 1681, 1634, 1112, 1050, 928, 873, 850, 740, 445, 371 and 141 cm−1. The calculated 1H and 13C chemicals shifts are consistent with the corresponding experimental NMR spectra of the compound in solution. In addition, a natural bond orbital (NBO) study revealed the characteristics of the electronic delocalization of the stable structure, while the corresponding topological properties of the electronic charge density were analyzed by employing Bader's atoms in the molecules theory (AIM).  相似文献

We suggest two types of new amine-type sII formers: pyrrolidine and piperidine. These guest compounds fail to form clathrate hydrate structures with host water, but instead have to combine with light gaseous guest molecules (methane) for enclathration. First, two binary clathrate hydrates of (pyrrolidine + methane) and (piperidine + methane) were synthesized at various amine concentrations. 13C NMR and Raman analysis were done to identify the clathrate hydrate structure and guest distribution over sII-S and sII-L cages. XRD was also used to find the exact structure and corresponding cell parameters. At a dilute pyrrolidine concentration of less than 5.56 mol%, the tuning phenomenon is observed such that methane molecules surprisingly occupy sII-L cages. At the critical guest concentration of about 0.1 mol%, the cage occupancy ratio reaches the maximum of approximately 0.5. At very dilute guest concentration below 0.1 mol%, the methane molecules fail to occupy large cages on account of their rarefied distribution in the network. Direct-release experiments were performed to determine the actual guest compositions in the clathrate hydrate phases. Finally, we measured the clathrate hydrate phase equilibria of (pyrrolidine + methane) and (piperidine + methane).  相似文献
