Long-range acoustic transport of excitons in GaAs quantum wells (QWs) is demonstrated. The mobile strain field of a surface acoustic wave creates a dynamic lateral type I modulation of the conduction and valence bands in a double-quantum-well (DQW) structure. This mobile potential modulation transports long-living indirect excitons in the DQW over several hundreds of μm. 相似文献

理论分析了脉冲激光激发的流体-分层固体结构声场,在此基础上数值计算了流体-慢层快底固体和流体-快层慢底固体结构液-固界面Scholte波的频散特性与瞬态响应.数值结果显示,对于流体-慢层快底结构,Scholte界面波呈现出正常频散特性;而对于流体-快层慢底结构,Scholte波在较小的频厚积范围呈反常频散特性.理论瞬态信号也显示了同样的特性.采用脉冲激光激励,用水听器接收的方式进行了Scholte界面波的实验测量.实验测量和分析结果与理论结果有很好的一致性.此工作可为水浸检测条件下镀层与薄膜材料参数的超声无损表征、海底沉积物参数反演等应用提供理论基础. 相似文献

We investigate surface waves at the interface between a metal and a photovoltaic-photorefractive (PP) crystal. These surface waves appear in several forms: delocalized surface waves, shock surface waves, and localized surface waves. Only localized surface waves have limited energy. We demonstrate that the transverse sizes of localized surface waves decrease with an increase in the propagation constant and the amplitudes of localized surface waves increase with the propagation constant. The stability of localized surface waves is investigated numerically and it is found that they are stable. 相似文献

A surface plasma wave (SPW) over bismuth-vacuum interface has a signature of mass anisotropy of free electrons. For SPW propagation
along the trigonal axis there is no birefringence. The frequency cutoff of SPW
lies in the far infrared region and can be accessed using free electron laser. The damping rate of waves at low temperatures
is low. The surface plasma wave may be excited by an electron beam of current ∼100 mA propagating parallel to the interface

为了研究直达表面波在圆弧过渡面处传播性能的变化,采用有限元方法模拟了热弹机制下,线性脉冲激光辐照金属铝块表面时激发的表面波在近表面传播过程中,在不同曲率半径的圆弧处发生的反射及透射现象,建立了圆弧半径与反射表面波以及透射表面波时域信号特征之间的联系。计算结果表明:曲率半径与表面波中心波长的数值关系对表面波在圆弧处的传播有显著的影响;同时证明了根据透射表面波信号的到达时间可以反演圆弧半径的大小,为之后利用表面波信号定量检测材料表面圆弧凹痕的深度提供了理论依据。 相似文献

An interdigital transducer device equipped with a metal catalyst sample that can be used to enhance catalytic activity by acoustic excitation is investigated. It was found that the propagation of 20 MHz surface acoustic waves of the Rayleigh type on Pt thin film single crystals causes drastic changes in surface morphology. The process of film breaking is observed and it is concluded that a phase shift in the acoustic wave induced by folds and cavities in the sample is responsible for the appearance of cracks. The influence of the change in morphology on catalytic activity and the acoustically induced rate enhancement effect is studied, and it is concluded that these changes are not a significant factor in the observed enhancement. 相似文献

A surface wave of frequency lying within bulk band of transverse waves is found in an elastic medium coated with a thin layer endowed with a surface mass density, surface Young's modulus and surface bending modulus. The wave is a particular case of surface resonance with infinite lifetime. In materials with negative Poisson's ratio (auxetics) the wave exists even for coating material with zero bending modulus, whereas with positive Poisson's ratio it requires the surface bending modulus to be larger than the surface Young's modulus. The manifestation of this wave in the reflection coefficient seems promising for fabrication of devices showing monochromator properties. 相似文献

The objective of this paper is to apply both experimental and numerical methods to investigate acoustic waves induced by the oscillation and collapse of a single bubble. In the experiments, the schlieren technique is used to capture the temporal evolution of the bubble shapes, and the corresponding acoustic waves. The results are presented for the single bubble generated by a low-voltage bubble generator in the free field of water. During the numerical simulations, a three-dimensional (3D) weakly compressible model is introduced to investigate the single bubble dynamics, including the generation and propagation of acoustic waves. The results show that (1) Compression wave, rarefaction wave and shock wave are generated during expansion stage, collapse stage and rebound stage of the bubble respectively. (2) Compression waves are induced by the rapid expansion of the bubble and eventually steepen into one shock wave propagating outward in the liquid, then another strong shock wave is emitted at the final collapse stage. The velocity and pressure of the liquid field increases after the shock wave. (3) Rarefaction waves are generated during the collapse stage due to the contraction of the bubble. The rarefaction wave reduces the liquid pressure and its spatial distribution is dispersive. The pressure of these acoustic waves and their effect on the liquid velocity attenuate with the increase of propagation distance. 相似文献

source which moves uniformly in a gas in the direction normal to the interface of homogeneous gaseous and elastic half-spaces
and vanishes at the moment of the solid surface contact. Asymptotic formulas are derived for the transient radiation field
which are valid at the fronts of spherical and lateral waves. An exact analytical expression is obtained for the transient
radiation field at observation points in the source trajectory. The total internal reflection effects in the transient radiation

Based on the Boit theory of acoustic wave propagation in fluid-satu-rated porous medium we have studied in this paper the acoustic reflection andtransmission on multilayered porous media,in which the adequate boundaryconditions across the interfaces are taken into account.Numerical calculationsof the reflection and transmission coefficients at different incident angles andfrequencies of the fast compressional wave incident on porous media with threeor four layers are presented.The results indicate that the maximum or mini-mum reflection and transmission coefficients appear at certain ratios of thewavelength to the thickness.The acoustic incident angle and porous mediumproperties are shown to affect significantly these coefficients.As an example,the measured transmission coefficients in a water-saturated fused glass beadsample are in good agreement with theoretical prediction. 相似文献

From the beginning of the 20th century, researchers have been interested in surface electromagnetic waves guided by planar interfaces of dissimilar mediums. Much initial research on surface‐plasmon waves and surface‐plasmon‐polariton waves stemmed from theoretical curiosity, but the development of new experimental techniques propelled commercial exploitation for optical sensors of chemical and biological species. Additional surface waves called Dyakonov waves, Tamm waves, and Dyakonov–Tamm waves have emerged during the last 25 years. Experimental observation of Dyakonov waves was reported only in 2009, but the rapid development of experimental apparatus during the 1990s suggests that theoretical predictions will soon be evaluated experimentally, leading to further development of optical detection systems and optical circuitry. 相似文献

Surface and quasi-longitudinal acoustic wave properties have been investigated in potassium titanyl arsenate (KTiOAsO4, KTA) single crystals for the first time. Surface acoustic wave (SAW) velocity, electromechanical coupling coefficient and power flow angle characteristics have been obtained in rotated Y-cut of KTA crystals. High SAW electromechanical coupling coefficient (0.4%) is found in Z-cut of KTA crystals. For high-frequency devices it is promising the resonators on quasi-longitudinal acoustic wave in X-cut of KTA crystals with sharp response in interdigital transducer conductance at resonance frequency. 相似文献

Two-dimensional (2D) metal–organic framework (MOF) nanosheets have recently received extensive attention due to their ultra-thin thickness, large specific surface area, chemical and functional designability. In this study, an unconventional method using surface acoustic wave (SAW) technology is proposed to exfoliate large quantities and uniform layers of 2D MOF-Zn2(bim)4 nanosheets in a microfluidic system. We successfully demonstrated that the thickness of 2D MOF is effectively and accurately controlled by optimizing the SAW parameters. The mechanisms for the efficient exfoliation of 2D MOF nanosheets is attributed to both the electric and acoustic fields generated by the SAWs in the liquid. The electric field ionizes the methanol to produce H+ ions, which intercalate Zn2(bim)4 sheets and weaken the interlayer bonding, and the strong shear force generated by SAWs separates the MOF sheets. A yield of 66% for monolayer MOFs with a maximum size of 3.5 μm is achieved under the combined effect of electric and acoustic fields. This fast, low-energy exfoliation platform has the potential to provide a simple and scalable microfluidic exfoliation method for production of large-area and quantities of 2D MOFs. 相似文献

This paper reports on the results of investigating the frequency dependence, the structure, and the polarization-and energy-related characteristics of surface electromagnetic waves propagating along a superconductor-dielectric interface. An expression for the complex permittivity of a superconductor is derived in the approximation of a two-component plasma containing “normal” and “superconducting” electrons. Basic relations are obtained in the general case at temperatures T≤T c (where T c is the critical temperature) and in the limiting case at T?T c, when the contribution from normal electrons to the permittivity of the superconductor can be disregarded. 相似文献

In this Prospective, a critical overview is provided on the status and future of the analytical techniques available for the study of chemistry at liquid/solid interfaces. A number of spectroscopies already available are identified, including infrared absorption, surface-enhanced Raman (SERS) and sum frequency generation (SFG) to obtain vibrational information, and second harmonic generation (SHG) and X-ray absorption (XAS) to provide electronic details of surfaces and adsorbates. X-ray scattering and X-ray diffraction techniques are also used for structural characterization, and surface plasmon resonance (SPR) and quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) to follow adsorption uptakes and kinetics. Finally, optical and scanning microscopies add a spatial dimension to these studies. Overall, a number of surface-sensitive techniques do already exist to address chemical issues at liquid/solid interfaces, but those are still limited, and have perhaps not been exploited to their fullest yet. There is also a need for more cross collaboration among different research communities, and for new and clever developments to augment the toolbox of liquid/solid interface characterization. 相似文献

The phenomenon of the broadband transmission enhancement of acoustic waves is important for its prospective applications in various devices. To achieve broadband transmission enhancement of acoustic waves, we investigate the acoustic transmission in a metallic grating device with linearly tapered slits through eigen-mode matching theory (EMMT) and finite element (FE) simulation. The tapering provides a gradual filling fraction variation from the entrance to the exit of the slits, destroying the Fabry–Perot resonance and thus leading to broadband and wide-angle enhanced transmission in the audible regime. In addition, acoustic waves are strongly localized and enhanced at the slit exits, in contrast with straight slits. 相似文献
