Two-dimensional crystal curved lines consisting of the nonlinear optical SmxBi1−xBO3 phase are fabricated at the surface of 8Sm2O3·37Bi2O3·55B2O3 glass by continuous wave Nd:YAG laser (wavelength: 1064 nm) irradiation (samarium atom heat processing) with a power of ∼0.9 W and a laser scanning speed of 5 μm/s. The curved lines with bending angles of 0-90° or with sine-shapes are written by just changing the laser scanning direction. The polarized micro-Raman scattering spectra for the line after bending are the same as those for the line before bending, indicating that the crystal plane of SmxBi1−xBO3 crystals to the crystal growth direction might be maintained even after the change in the laser scanning direction. It is found from laser scanning microscope observations that the crystal lines at the surface are swelled out smoothly, giving a height of about 10 μm.  相似文献

A series of Er3+/Yb3+-co-doped 60Bi2O3-(40−x) B2O3 -xGa2O3 (BBGA x=0, 4, 8, 12, 16 mol%) glasses have been prepared. The absorption spectra, emission spectra, fluorescence lifetime of Er3+:4I13/2 level and thermal stability were measured and investigated. Three Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters Ωt (t=2,4,6) (Ω2=(4.67-5.93)×10−20 cm2, Ω4=(1.50-1.81)×10−20 cm2, Ω6=(0.92-1.17)×10−20 cm2) of Er3+ ions were calculated by Judd-Ofelt theory. It is found that the Ω6 first increases with the increase of Ga2O3 content from 0 to 8 mol% and then decreases, which is mainly affected by the number of non-bridging oxygen ions of the glass network. The high peak of stimulated emission cross-section () of Er3+: 4I13/24I15/2 transition were obtained according to McCumber theory and broad full width at half maximum (FWHM=69-76 nm) of the 4I13/24I15/2 transition of Er3+ ions were measured. The results indicate that these new BBGA glasses can be used as a candidate host material for potential broadband optical amplifiers.  相似文献

Optical absorption, thermoluminescence, infrared spectra and differential thermal analysis of three different tellurite glass systems viz., ZnF2-As2O3-TeO2, ZnF2-Bi2O3-TeO2 and ZnF2-P2O5-TeO2 containing 0.4% of Cr2O3, have been investigated. Results have been analysed in the light of different oxidation states of chromium ion and the most suitable host for lasing Cr3+ ions has been identified and reported.  相似文献

The photoluminescence and low-voltage cathodoluminescence characteristics of BaTi4O9:Pr3+ were investigated. The excitation band of intervalence charge transfer (IVCT) of BaTi4O9:Pr3+ emerged distinctly at 330 nm. The resultant emissions appeared at 606-643 nm corresponding to the 1D23H4 transition. In BaTi4O9:Pr3+, the emission of 3P03H4 transition at 490 nm was not observed. The results were in a pure red color emission.  相似文献

Long-lasting afterglow due to Tb3+ ions has been observed in a Tb3+-doped SiO2-Ga2O3-CaO-Na2O glass, where a 4s empty orbital of Ga3+ probably works as an electron-trapping center. The sensitization effect of Yb3+ on the afterglow has been noticed.  相似文献

This paper reports on the absorption, visible and near-infrared luminescence properties of Nd3+, Er3+, Er3+/2Yb3+, and Tm3+ doped oxyfluoride aluminosilicate glasses. From the measured absorption spectra, Judd-Ofelt (J-O) intensity parameters (Ω2, Ω4 and Ω6) have been calculated for all the studied ions. Decay lifetime curves were measured for the visible emissions of Er3+ (558 nm, green), and Tm3+ (650 and 795 nm), respectively. The near infrared emission spectrum of Nd3+ doped glass has shown full width at half maximum (FWHM) around 45 nm (for the 4F3/24I9/2 transition), 45 nm (for the 4F3/24I11/2 transition), and 60 nm (for the 4F3/24I13/2 transition), respectively, with 800 nm laser diode (LD) excitation. For Er3+, and Er3+/2Yb3+ co-doped glasses, the characteristic near infrared emission bands were spectrally centered at 1532 and 1544 nm, respectively, with 980 nm laser diode excitation, exhibiting full width at half maximum around 50 and 90 nm for the erbium 4I13/24I15/2 transition. The measured maximum decay times of 4I13/24I15/2 transition (at wavelength 1532 and 1544 nm) are about 5.280 and 5.719 ms for 1Er3+ and 1Er3+/2Yb3+ (mol%) co-doped glasses, respectively. The maximum stimulated emission cross sections for 4I13/24I15/2 transition of Er3+ and Er3+/Yb3+ are 10.81×10−21 and 5.723×10-21 cm2. These glasses with better thermal stability, bright visible emissions and broad near-infrared emissions should have potential applications in broadly tunable laser sources, interesting optical luminescent materials and broadband optical amplification at low-loss telecommunication windows.  相似文献

We have enhanced color-rendering property of a blue light emitting diode (LED) pumped white LED with yellow emitting Y3Al5O12:Ce3+ (YAG:Ce) phosphor using addition of Pr and Tb as a co-activator and host lattice element, respectively. Pr3+ addition to YAG:Ce phosphor resulted in sharp emission peak at about 610 nm through 1D23H4 transition. And when Tb3+ substituted Y3+ sites, Ce3+ emission band shifted to a longer wavelength due to larger crystal field splitting. Y3Al5O12:Ce3+, Pr3+ and (Y1−xTbx)3Al5O12:Ce3+ phosphors were coated on blue LEDs to fabricate white LEDs, respectively, and their color-rendering indices (CRIs, Ra) were measured. As a consequence of the addition of Pr3+ or Tb3+, CRI of the white LEDs improved to be Ra=83 and 80, respectively. Especially, blue LED pumped (Y0.2Tb0.8)3Al5O12:Ce3+ white LED showed both strong luminescence and high color-rendering property.  相似文献

Phosphor material BaAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+ with varying compositions of Sr substitution were prepared by the solid-state synthesis method. The phosphor compositions were characterized for their phase and crystallinity by XRD, SEM and TEM. Photoluminescence (PL) properties were investigated measuring PL and decay time for varying Ba/Sr compositions. The PL results show the blue shift in the luminescence properties in Sr substituted BaAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+ compared to parent BaAl2O4:Eu2+, Dy3+. It is probably due to the influence of 5d electron states of Eu2+ in the crystal field because of atomic size variation causing crystal defects. Dy3+ ion doping in the phosphor generates deep traps, which results in long afterglow phosphorescence.  相似文献

Newly synthesized reference MgLaLiSi2O7 and red luminescent Eu3+:MgLaLiSi2O7 powder phosphors have been successfully developed by a solid-state reaction method to analyze their emission and structural properties from the measurement of their XRD, SEM, FTIR and PL spectra. Emission spectra of Eu3+ powder phosphors have shown strong red emissions at 613 nm (5D07F2). These phosphors have also shown bright red emissions under a UV source. Based on the red emission performance, the Eu3+ concentration has been optimized to be at 0.3 mol%.  相似文献

Vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) excitation and photoluminescence (PL) characteristics of Eu3+ ion doped borate phosphors; BaZr(BO3)2:Eu3+ and SrAl2B2O7:Eu3+ are studied. The excitation spectra show strong absorption in the VUV region with the absorption band edge at ca. 200 nm for BaZr(BO3)2:Eu3+ and 183 nm for SrAl2B2O7:Eu3+, respectively, which ensures the efficient absorption of the Xe plasma emission lines. In BaZr(BO3)2:Eu3+, the charge transfer band of Eu3+ does not appear strongly in the excitation spectrum, which can be enhanced by co-doping Al3+ ion into the BaZr(BO3)2 lattices. The luminescence intensity of BaZr(BO3)2:Eu3+ is also increased by Al3+ incorporation into the lattices. The PL spectra show the strongest emission at 615 nm corresponding to the electric dipole 5D07F2 transition of Eu3+ in both BaZr(BO3)2 and SrAl2B2O7, similar to that in YAl3(BO3)4, which results in a good color purity for display applications.  相似文献

Molecular dynamics simulation of binary glass 52Li2O-48P2O5 and ternary glasses 45Li2O-42P2O5-13LiCl and 39Li2O-36P2O5-25LiCl was undertaken to study the effects of the addition of LiCl to the binary phosphate glass. The results show that addition of LiCl in the glass creates more non-bridging oxygens and reduces P-O-P chain lengths and branches in these chains, leading to a weakening of the glass matrix and consequent lowering of Tg. Interchain linkages mediated by Li in the binary structure diminish, and consequently better channels are created for Li+ movement, enhancing the ionic conductivity σ. Structure parameters also indicate the absence of LiCl clusters in the glass matrix.  相似文献

Characterization and electrical properties of vanadium-copper-phosphate glasses of compositions xV2O5-(40−x)CuO-60P2O5 have been reported. X-ray diffraction (XRD) confirms the amorphous nature of these glasses. It was observed that, the density (d) decreases gradually while the molar volume (Vm) increases with the increase of the vanadium oxide content in such glasses. This may be due to the effect of the polarizing power strength, PPS, which is a measure of ratio of the cation valance to its diameter. The dc conductivity increases while the activation energy decreases with the increase of the V2O5 content. The dc conductivity in the present glasses is electronic and depends strongly upon the average distance, R, between the vanadium ions. Analysis of the electrical properties has been made in the light of small polaron hopping model. The parameters obtained from the fits of the experimental data to this model are reasonable and consistent with glass composition. The conduction is attributed to non-adiabatic hopping of small polaron.  相似文献

Lead-Cadmium fluorosilicate stable glasses were prepared and the vitreous domain region determined in the composition diagram. Characteristic temperatures were obtained from thermal analysis and the structural studies performed illustrate clearly the role played by lead atoms in the glasses crystallization behavior and the glass-forming ability of cadmium atoms. The occurrence of either a cubic lead fluoride or a lead-cadmium fluoride solid solution in crystallizing samples was found to be dependent on Er3+ doping. The optically active ions were found to concentrate in the crystalline phase and in fact play the role of nucleating agent as suggested from X-ray diffraction and EXAFS measurements.  相似文献

The luminescence excitation spectra, emission spectra under photo- and X-ray excitation, luminescence decay kinetics and thermostimulated luminescence (TSL) of Gd3Ga5O12 garnet (GGG) polycrystalline samples have been investigated. It was established that the spectrum of Cr3+ ion emission were present in all TSL peaks. The activation energies of traps that are responsible for appearance of TSL in the region 295-600 K were estimated. It is shown that delocalization of electrons from the Cr3+e traps leads to the appearance of thermoluminescence (TL) glow peak at 390 K. The nature of other TSL peaks is discussed. The influence of visible light on the TSL intensity of the preliminary X-ray-irradiated samples is shown.  相似文献

Beta gallium oxide (β-Ga2O3) single crystals were grown by the floating zone technique. The absorption spectra and the luminescence of the crystals were measured. The absorption spectra showed an intrinsic short cutoff edge around 260 nm with two shoulders at 270 and 300 nm. Not only the characteristic UV (395 nm), blue (471 nm) and green (559 nm) lights, but also the red (692 nm) light can be seen in the emission spectra. The deep UV light was attributed to the existing of quantum wells above the valence band and the red light was owed to the electron-hole recombination via the vicinity donors and acceptors.  相似文献

This paper reports the spectral properties of Nd3+:Ca2Nb2O7. The spectral parameters of Nd3+ in Nd3+:Ca2Nb2O7 crystal have been investigated based on Judd-Ofelt theory. The spectral parameters were obtained. The parameters of line strengths Ωλ are Ω2=4.967×10−20 cm2, Ω4=5.431×10−20 cm2, Ω6=5.693×10−20 cm2. The radiative lifetime, the fluorescence lifetime and the quantum efficiency are 122 μs, 103 μs and 84.4%, respectively. The fluorescence branch ratios calculated: β1=0.425, β2=0.479, β3=0.091, β4=0.004. The emission cross section at 1068 nm is 6.204×10−20 cm2.  相似文献

The phosphors, Bi3+- activated Gd2O3:Er3+, were prepared by sol-gel combustion method, and their photoluminescent properties were investigated under ultraviolet light excitation. The emission spectrum exhibited sharp peaks at about 520, 535, 545, 550 and 559 nm due to (2H11/2, 4S3/2)→4I15/2 transitions of Er3+ ions. The luminescent intensity was remarkably improved by the incorporation of Bi3+ ions under 340 nm light excitation, which suggested very efficient energy transfer from Bi3+ ions to Er3+ions. The introducing of Bi3+ ions broadened the excitation band of the phosphor, of which a new strong peak occurred ranging from 320 to 360 nm due to the 6s2→6s6p transition of Bi3+ ions. There is significant energy overlap between the emission band of Bi3+ ions and the excitation band of Er3+ ions. Under 340 nm light excitation, Bi3+ absorbed most of the energy and transferred it to Er3+. The energy transfer probability from Bi3+ to Er3+ is strongly dependent on the Bi3+ ion concentration. Also, the sensitization effectiveness was studied and discussed in this paper.  相似文献

ZnO-ZnF2-B2O3 glasses containing small concentrations of TiO2 ranging from 0 to 0.6 mol% were prepared. Dielectric properties (constant ε′, loss tan δ, ac conductivity σac over a moderately wide range of frequency and temperature at room temperature in air medium) of these glasses have been studied. The results of these studies were analyzed with the aid of data on optical absorption, ESR and IR spectra of these glasses. The analysis suggests that when the concentration of TiO2>0.2 mol%, the titanium ions, in addition to Ti4+ state, co-exist in Ti3+ state, act as modifiers and reduce the breakdown strength.  相似文献

The luminescence of LaY3+ and ScY3+ and ScAl3+ centers created by lanthanum and scandium ions at Y3+ and Al3+ cation sites of YAlO3 perovskite lattice was investigated. The features of emission of excitons localized at the mentioned centers in YAlO3:La and YAlO3:Sc single-crystalline films were analyzed by means of time-resolved emission spectroscopy and luminescence decay kinetics measurements under excitation by synchrotron radiation at 9 and 300 K.  相似文献
