Magnetic behavior of a spin-1 Heisenberg dimer is analysed in dependence on the both uniaxial single-ion anisotropy and XXZ exchange anisotropy in a zero- as well as non-zero longitudinal magnetic field. A complete set of eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of the total Hamiltonian is presented together with an exact analytical expression for the Gibbs free energy, longitudinal magnetization, longitudinal and transverse susceptibility. The obtained theoretical results are compared with the relevant experimental data of [Ni2(Medpt)2(μ-ox)(H2O)2](ClO4)2·2H2O (Medpt=methyl-bis(3-aminopropyl)amine).  相似文献

The α-Fe2O3/SiO2 nanocomposite containing 45 wt% of hematite was prepared by the sol-gel method followed by heating in air at 200 °C. The so-obtained composite of iron(III) nanoparticles dissolved in glassy silica matrix was investigated by X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometry. XRPD confirms the formation of a single-phase hematite sample, whereas TEM reveals spherical particles in a silica matrix with an average diameter of 10 nm. DC magnetization shows bifurcation of the zero-field-cooled (ZFC) and field-cooled (FC) branches up to the room temperature with a blocking temperature TB=65 K. Isothermal M(H) dependence displays significant hysteretic behaviour below TB, whereas the room temperature data were successfully fitted to a weighted Langevin function. The average particle size obtained from this fit is in agreement with the TEM findings. The small shift of the TB value with the magnetic field strength, narrowing of the hysteresis loop at low applied field, and the frequency dependence of the AC susceptibility data point to the presence of inter-particle interactions. The analysis of the results suggests that the system consists of single-domain nanoparticles with intermediate strength interactions.  相似文献

The contributions that dipolar, single-ion and exchange anisotropy make to the perpendicular susceptibility χ?, the field H′c for which ω↓ (k = 0) vanishes, and other properties of antiferromagnetic MnF2 at T = 0 K are considered, first, i n the ionic approximation. A comparison of the calculated dipolar and single-ion anisotropy with the measured χ?, H′c and magnon dispersion would seemingly require then the inclusion of an unreasonably large anisotropic exchange field HAE = -0.9 kOe. However, an estimate of the effects that overlap and covalency have on the anisotropy reveals that much of the discrepancy between the results obtained from the point-dipolar, ionic approximation and the measured quantities is a consequence of the spatial redictribution of the cation magnetization onto the ligands.  相似文献

Entanglement spectrum and quantum phase transitions (QPTs) in S = 1 bond-alternative antiferromagnetic Heisenberg chain with single-ion anisotropy and magnetic field are investigated by the infinite time-evolving block decimation (iTEBD) method. The combined effects of the single-ion anisotropy and magnetic field have been discussed, and a rich ground-state phase diagram is obtained. We find that the single-ion anisotropy is advantageous to the stability of the 1/2 magnetization plateau. Both entanglement entropy and entanglement spectrum, as two model-independent measures, are capable of describing all the QPTs. Especially, doubly degenerate entanglement spectrum on even bond is observed in the 1/2 plateau phase. Besides constant spontaneous magnetization, three magnetization plateaus (M z = 0, 1/2, and 1) are found to have constant entanglement entropy, entanglement spectrum, and nearest-neighbor correlation. In addition, all the QPTs in such a model have been determined to belong to the second-order category.  相似文献

Bilayers, TbFeCo/GdFeCoSi, made by sputtering on glass substrate with buffer and capping layers were studied by measuring the hysteresis loop and by ferromagnetic resonance (FMR). When the field H was applied along the film normal, a double HC hysteresis loop related to the two sublayers was observed. In ferromagnetic resonance measurements, a peculiar out-of-plane angular dependence of FMR spectrum was obtained. When scanning field H was 0-637 kA/m less than the anisotropy field of TbFeCo sublayer, two FMR peaks were observed. One peak was characteristic of uniaxial and unidirectional anisotropy. The anisotropy constants were obtained by fitting the data with the theory of FMR, and this peak was considered to be related to the low anisotropy GdFeCoSi layer. The second peak appeared only when the dc field H was orientated in a limited angular range around 180°. This peak was considered to be related to an uncoupled interfacial GdFeCoSi sublayer near Al capping layer. However, when H was scanned between 0-1114 kA/m, only one peak is observed due to magnetization reversal of TbFeCo layer with uniaxial anisotropy.  相似文献

The bond operator representation and the one-loop renormalization group treatment are used to study the spin-1 Heisenberg antiferromagnetic with single-ion anisotropy and transversal magnetic fields in three-dimensional cubic lattices. We start from a disordered spin-liquid phase to an ordered phase, at a critical field Hc1 above which the system enters an XY-antiferromagnetic phase. This transition is interpreted as belonging to a universality class with a dynamical critical exponent z=1. In this marginal case logarithmic corrections are found to the physical quantities. These theoretical predictions are compared with the scaling of the magnetization as a function of field and temperature for the organic compound NiCl2-4SC(NH2)2.  相似文献

The magnetic hysteresis of Fe57Ni43/Si(100) with magnetic anisotropy induced by an external field has been studied by Brillouin light scattering (BLS). The results are compared with those of the magneto-optic-Kerr-effect (MOKE) measurement and the vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The BLS results show that the sample film has strong in-plane anisotropy. The angle between the magnetization and a 4.6 G applied magnetic field H reaches a maximum value of 45° when H lies along the hard axis. The coercivity and magnetic anisotropy field for the film obtained by the BLS are compared with the values obtained by the VSM and MOKE measurement.  相似文献

The magnetization of the PrFeAsO0.60F0.12 polycrystalline sample has been measured as functions of temperature and magnetic field (H). The observed total magnetization is the sum of a superconducting irreversible magnetization and a paramagnetic magnetization. Analysis of dc susceptibility χ(T) in the normal state shows that the paramagnetic component of magnetization comes from the Pr3+ magnetic moments. The intragrain critical current density (JL) derived from the magnetization data is large. The JL(H) curve displays a second peak which shifts towards the high-field region with decreasing temperature. In the low-field region, a plateau up to a field H* followed by a power law H?5/8 behavior of JL(H) is the characteristic of the strong pinning. A vortex phase diagram for the present superconductor has been obtained from the magnetization and resistivity data.  相似文献

New photo-magnetic effects with an indefinitely long-time memory are found at room temperature in the epitaxial Mg0.75Mn0.21Co0.04Fe2O4 ferrite film. Illumination of the ferrimagnetic material with low-intensity (0.4 W cm−2) circularly polarized light with or without a static magnetic field in the Faraday effect geometry results in a number of nonlinear effects in both space and time. In a uniform crystal with cubic symmetry, the long-lived photo-induced magnetization (PIM) with a unidirectional anisotropy appears along the direction of the incoming light. The effects depend on a combination of magnetic field H and the helicity of circularly polarized light σ. Two combinations H+,σ+ and H,σ lead to a photo-induced unidirectional anisotropy with a shift of the hysteresis loop along an applied field and a change in loop parameters. The loop contracts by a factor of two, the shift of the mid-point Hsh increases by factor of five surpassing the coercivity Hc, the coercivity Hc1 and remanence Mr1 (for decreasing applied field) reverse the sign, increasing by 9 Oe and reducing by a factor of 4.5, respectively. The effects cannot be erased by a conventional demagnetization (using an AC current that is reduced to zero amplitude), but can be removed using an illumination with two other combinations (H+,σ and H,σ+) as well as by heating at temperatures higher than the Curie temperature. This long-lived room-temperature memory effect may arise from the formation of complex photo-induced defects including photo-induced magnetic polarons. The possible mechanisms responsible for the appearance of a room-temperature photo-induced unidirectional anisotropy with a long-lived memory are discussed. These new photo-magnetic effects may find an application in magneto-optical memory devices.  相似文献

Based on the Heisenberg model including single-ion anisotropy and using a Green's function technique we have studied the influence of doping effects on magnetization M, Neel temperature TN and coercive field Hc of antiferromagnetic nanoparticles. We have shown that the experimentally obtained room temperature magnetization M is due to surface or/and doping effects in antiferromagnetic nanoparticles.  相似文献

Co2MnGe films of 30 and 50 nm in thickness were grown by RF-sputtering. Their magnetic anisotropies, dynamic properties and the different excited spin wave modes have been studied using conventional ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) and Microstrip line FMR (MS-FMR). From the in-plane and the out-of-plane resonance field values, the effective magnetization (4πMeff) and the g-factor are deduced. These values are then used to fit the in-plane angular-dependence of the uniform precession mode and the field-dependence of the resonance frequency of the uniform mode and the first perpendicular standing spin wave to determine the in-plane uniaxial, the four-fold anisotropy fields, the exchange stiffness constant and the magnetization at saturation. The samples exhibit a clear predominant four-fold magnetic anisotropy besides a smaller uniaxial anisotropy. This uniaxial anisotropy is most probably induced by the growth conditions.  相似文献

Based on Monte Carlo simulation, the spin configurations, thermal magnetization and hysteresis loops of the clusters coated by the surface shell with radial anisotropy are studied. Interestingly, a new multidomain containing a few of subdomains whose easy directions are along those of the configurational anisotropy, a magnetization curve in steps and a first order phase transition from the single domain to the multidomain in the thermal and field magnetization processes, are found, which is as a result of the interplay of the configurational anisotropy, the size effect, the surface anisotropy, the applied field and the thermal fluctuation. In this first order transition, we find a critical temperature, a critical surface anisotropy and a critical size. The simulated temperature dependence of the coercivity of the cluster with the surface anisotropy can be fitted by Hc (T)=Hc (0)(1-CαTα) with low value of α, which explains well the experimental results of the nanoparticles. Moreover, it is found that the hysteresis loops and coercivity are strongly affected by the cluster size and the thickness of the surface layer.  相似文献

Time dependences of the azimuthal component of the torque T φ(t) acting on magnetization are calculated to understand the nature of the delayed magnetization acceleration effect observed during the 90° pulsed magnetization of real ferrite–garnet films, in which biaxial anisotropy exists alongside with in-plane anisotropy. A calculation technique based on analyzing an operating point trajectory is used. Calculations show that if the effective anisotropy field H K2 is comparable to the magnetizing pulse amplitude H ma, abruptly ascending regions at characteristic times t* in curves T φ(t) arise, in the limit of which nonlinear magnetization oscillations formed. The shape of these regions depends weakly on the magnetizing pulse front duration τf. This explains the reason of the weak dependence of the nonlinear magnetization oscillations on duration of the magnetizing pulse front. Calculations also show that the main features of the delayed acceleration effect are less clear upon an increase of the pulse amplitude: the behavior of curves T φ(t) becomes smoother near times t*, and an increase in the pulse front duration is accompanied by a stronger drop in the intensity of magnetization oscillations.  相似文献

Magnetic properties of granular (Co40Fe40B20)x(SiO2)1−x   thin films (x=0.37-0.53x=0.37-0.53) have been studied by ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) technique. Samples have been prepared by ion-beam deposition of Co–Fe–B particles and SiO2 on sitall ceramic substrate. The FMR measurements have been done for different orientations of DC magnetic field with respect to the sample plane. It was found that the deduced value of effective magnetization from FMR data of the thin granular film is reduced by the volume-filling factor of the bulk saturation magnetization. The overall magnetization changes from 152 to 515 G depending on the ratio of the magnetic nanoparticles in the SiO2 matrix. From angular measurements an induced in-plane uniaxial anisotropy has been obtained due to the preparation of the film conditions as well.  相似文献

Experimental and theoretical studies of the magnetization curves M(H) obtained for plates of an anisotropic hard superconductor are performed. The samples are YBCO single-domain textured crystals with the c axis lying in the sample plane. It is shown that, for some orientations of the magnetic field in the sample plane, the magnetization curves contain additional extrema; at the same time, the virgin magnetization curve M(H) exhibits features characteristic of the peak effect. This proves that the anisotropy of the current-carrying ability can give rise to a new type of peak effect.  相似文献

Measurement of the magnetic complex susceptibility, χ(ω)=χ′(ω)−iχ″(ω) by means of the transmission line technique, is a well established method for the determination of the dynamic properties of nano-particle colloids, such as magnetic fluids. From polarising studies one can obtain accurate data on the anisotropy constant, K, anisotropy field, HA, gyromagnetic constant γ, and the damping parameter, α. From data on χ(ω), one can determine the loss tangent, tan δ, of the samples and also a value of the precessional decay time, τ0. From polarized studies, one can investigate the presence of any hysteresis. The technique is also suitable for the investigation of the magnetic properties of composite samples. In this paper a review of the above mentioned topics are presented with examples of results obtained for a number of magnetic fluids.  相似文献

We propose a theory describing low-temperature properties of magnets with integer spin and large single-ion easy-plane anisotropy D in magnetic field H directed parallel to the hard axis. Considering the exchange interaction between spins as a perturbation and using the bosonic spin representation proposed in our recent paper [1] we find thermal corrections to the elementary excitation spectrum, magnetization and specific heat in the vicinity of the quantum critical point (QCP) H = H c1(0) ∼ D in the first nonvanishing orders of the perturbation theory. An expression is found for the boundary of the paramagnetic phase H c1(T) in the H-T plane. The effective interaction between bosons is derived near the QCP. The proposed theory describes well experimental data obtained in NiCl2-4SC(NH2)2 (DTN).  相似文献

The magnetic behavior of polycrystalline yttrium orthoferrite was studied from the experimental and theoretical points of view. Magnetization measurements up to 170 kOe were carried out on a single-phase YFeO3 sample synthesized from heterobimetallic alkoxides. The complex interplay between weak-ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions, observed in the experimental M(H) curves, was successfully simulated by locally minimizing the magnetic energy of two interacting Fe sublattices. The resulting values of exchange field (HE=5590 kOe), anisotropy field (HA=0.5 kOe) and Dzyaloshinsky–Moriya antisymmetric field (HD=149 kOe) are in good agreement with previous reports on this system.  相似文献

Based on the Heisenberg model taking into account single-ion anisotropy and using a Green's function technique we have studied the influence of size and anisotropy effects on magnetization M, Neel temperature TN, coercive field Hc and spin excitation energy of antiferromagnetic nanoparticles. The properties are compared with those of ferromagnetic nanoparticles. We have shown that the enhanced magnetization M and coercive field Hc of antiferromagnetic nanoparticles is a surface effect, which is due to uncompensated surface spins. Moreover, the shape of the coercive field curve can be significantly influenced by surface magnetic anisotropy.  相似文献
