The high-resolution infrared spectra of the monoisotopic species F35Cl16O3, F37Cl16O3, F35Cl18O3 and F37Cl18O3 have been studied in the region of the 2ν5 overtones, from 1100 to 1200 cm−1. Both the parallel and the perpendicular components are clearly observed in the spectra, their origins differing by about 0.4 cm−1. In each spectrum about 2000 transitions have been assigned, 35% of them belonging to . The parallel and perpendicular bands in each manifold have been analyzed separately since no evidence of perturbations has been observed. The rovibration parameters of the v5 = 2, l5 = 0 and v5 = 2, l5=?2 excited states have been obtained. For the four species combining the and band origins with those of the ν5 fundamentals the harmonic wavenumbers, , and the x55 and g55 anharmonicity constants have also been derived.  相似文献

A Ti-rich oxide, (Ti0.50Zr0.26Mg0.14Cr0.10)∑=1.0O1.81, was synthesized at 8.8 GPa and 1600 °C using a multi-anvil apparatus. Its crystal structure at ambient conditions and compressibility up to 10.58 GPa were determined with single-crystal X-ray diffraction. This high-pressure phase is isomorphous with cubic zirconia (fluorite-type) with space group Fm3¯m and unit-cell parameters a=4.8830(5) Å and V=116.43(4) Å3. Like stabilized cubic zirconia, the structure of (Ti0.50Zr0.26Mg0.14Cr0.10)O1.81 is also relaxed, with all O atoms displaced from the (, , ) position along 〈1 0 0〉 by 0.319 Å and all cations from the (0, 0, 0) position along 〈1 1 1〉 by 0.203 Å. No phase transformation was detected within the experimental pressure range. Fitting the high-pressure data (V vs. P) to a third-order Birch-Murnaghan EOS yields K0=164(4) GPa, K′=4.3(7), and V0=116.38(3) Å3. The bulk modulus of (Ti0.50Zr0.26Mg0.14Cr0.10)O1.81 is significantly lower than that (202 GPa) determined experimentally for cubic TiO2 or that (~210 GPa) estimated for cubic ZrO2. This study demonstrates that cubic TiO2 may also be obtained by introducing various dopants, similar to the way cubic zirconia is stabilized below 2370 °C. Furthermore, (Ti0.50Zr0.26Mg0.14Cr0.10)O1.81 has the greatest ratio of Ti4+ content vs. vacant O2− sites of all doped cubic zirconia samples reported thus far, making it a more promising candidate for the development of electrolytes in solid oxide fuel cells.  相似文献

Rotational analyses are reported for a number of newly-discovered vibrational levels of the S1-trans1Au) state of C2H2. These levels are combinations where the Franck-Condon active and vibrational modes are excited together with the low-lying bending vibrations, and . The structures of the bands are complicated by strong a- and b-axis Coriolis coupling, as well as Darling-Dennison resonance for those bands that involve overtones of the bending vibrations. The most interesting result is the strong anharmonicity in the combinations of (trans bend, ag) and (in-plane cis bend, bu). This anharmonicity presumably represents the approach of the molecule to the trans-cis isomerization barrier, where ab initio results have predicted the transition state to be half-linear, corresponding to simultaneous excitation of and . The anharmonicity also causes difficulty in the least squares fitting of some of the polyads, because the simple model of Coriolis coupling and Darling-Dennison resonance starts to break down. The effective Darling-Dennison parameter, K4466, is found to increase rapidly with excitation of , while many small centrifugal distortion terms have had to be included in the least squares fits in order to reproduce the rotational structure correctly. Fermi resonances become important where the K-structures of different polyads overlap, as happens with the 2131B1 and 31B3 polyads (B = 4 or 6). The aim of this work is to establish the detailed vibrational level structure of the S1-trans state in order to search for possible S1-cis (1A2) levels. This work, along with results from other workers, identifies at least one K sub-level of every single vibrational level expected up to a vibrational energy of 3500 cm−1.  相似文献

The high resolution infrared spectrum of the mono-isotopic species F35Cl16O3 has been studied in the region of the 2ν4 overtone, from 2560 to 2680 cm−1. The perpendicular component is strong and clearly observed while the parallel component is very weak and almost completely hidden by the perpendicular one. Their origins differ by 12.6 cm−1, the being located at higher wavenumbers. The band is perturbed by the anharmonic interaction between the v4 = 2, l4 = ?2 and v2 = v4 = v5 = 1, l4 = l5 = ±1 excited states, both of E symmetry. In total 3157 transitions have been assigned, 83% of these to , 12% to , and 5% to . The three bands have been analyzed simultaneously, taking into account the Fermi resonance effective between the excited states of E symmetry. The ro-vibration parameters of the excited states have been obtained, including the deperturbed band origins of and , at 2628.5890(4) and 2619.3342(5) cm−1, respectively. The W245 anharmonic constant is equal to 4.0161(4) cm−1. The x44+g44 and x24+x45+g45 anharmonicity constants have been derived from the obtained band origins and those of ν4 and ν2 + ν5.  相似文献

The adsorption, photoreduction and chemical activity of oxygen molecules on the (1 0 0) anatase surface have been investigated here together with the effects that surface oxygen vacancies (VO) can have on these O2-related processes. We use an original approach by treating molecules on the TiO2 surface like surface defects in the same framework successfully used for defects in semiconductors. The achieved results: (i) give the first theoretical evidence of an acceptor behaviour of an adsorbed O2 molecule, which is at the origin of its photoreduction; (ii) show that the VO donor character is strongly affected by the interaction with O2; and (iii) suggest that the release of radicals as well as the formation of O2-related radicals may be favoured by photogenerated electrons in presence of surface VO’s.  相似文献

The vibrational structure of the electronic state of C3 in the region 26 000-30 775 cm−1 has been re-examined, using laser excitation spectra of jet-cooled molecules. Rotational constants and vibrational energies have been determined for over 60 previously-unreported vibronic levels; a number of other levels have been re-assigned. The vibrational structure is complicated by interactions between levels of the upper and lower Born-Oppenheimer components of the state, and by the effects of the double minimum potential in the Q3 coordinate, recognized by Izuha and Yamanouchi [16]. The present work shows that there is also strong anharmonic resonance between the overtones of the ν1 and ν3 vibrations. For instance, the levels 2 1+ 1 and 0 1 + 3 are nearly degenerate in zero order, but as a result of the resonance they give rise to two levels 139 cm−1 apart, centered about the expected position of the 2 1+ 1 level. With these irregularities recognized, every observed vibrational level up to 30 000 cm−1 (a vibrational energy of over 5000 cm−1) can now be assigned. A vibronic level at 30181.4 cm−1, which has a much lower B′ rotational constant than nearby levels of the state, possibly represents the onset of vibronic perturbations by the electronic state; this state is so far unknown, but is predicted by the ab initio calculations of Ahmed et al. [36].  相似文献

Generation of X-ray induced secondary electrons in Ti and TiO2 was studied from both experimental and theoretical approaches, using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) attached to a synchrotron radiation facility and Monte Carlo simulation, respectively. The experiment revealed that the yields of secondary electrons induced by X-rays (electrons/photon) at photon energies to 4950 and 5000 eV for Ti and TiO2 are δTi(4950 eV) = 0.002 and δTi(5000 eV) = 0.014 while those for TiO2 are δTiO2(4950eV)=0.003 and δTiO2(5000eV)=0.018.A novel approach to obtain the escape depth of secondary electrons has been proposed and applied to Ti and TiO2. The approach agreed very well with the experimental data reported so far. The Monte Carlo simulation predicted; and while and .An experimental examination on the contribution of X-ray induced secondary electrons to photocatalysis in TiO2 has also been proposed.  相似文献

The surface interaction of CO2 with the perovskite-type oxide LaMnO3+y has been investigated by means of density functional theory calculations and experimental measurements of adsorption isotherms in the temperature range 298-473 K. A (1 0 0) oriented slab of the cubic structure was used for modeling CO2 adsorption. The reference unit cell contains alternating LaO+ layers and layers; one slab is LaO+-terminated and the opposite surface is terminated. A Freundlich isotherm fitted the experimental data satisfactorily. Analysis of the isosteric heat revealed an energetically heterogeneous character for the lanthanum manganite oxide surface, mainly due to the degree of heterogeneity of the adsorption center and due to the adsorbate-adsorbate lateral interactions. Considering theoretical calculations and thermodynamical approaches, two types of active sites were found to be responsible for irreversible and reversible adsorption of CO2 as a function of surface coverage and O2 treatment. Strong adsorption takes place on the surface containing La cations. The strongest adsorption is associated with surface oxygen vacancies, center. The next strongest adsorption, a flat adaptation of CO2 molecules with respect to the surface sites, with a strong binding to a surface oxygen, leads to chemisorbed carbonate species. These adsorption modes are chiefly indicative of a high basic character of the lanthanum manganite oxide surface. Several cationic sites formed by lanthanum and manganese cations are able to weakly adsorb CO2 molecules in perpendicular or bridged forms. The latter adsorption modes suggest a weak acidic character of the manganite adsorbent.  相似文献

Magnetic susceptibility obtained from magnetization measurement (for fields H=0.1 and 1.0 T) of polycrystalline Eu2Ti2O7 shows two distinct features. Firstly, increases on cooling below 300 K and attains a temperature-independent constant value at 68 K (Tmax). Secondly, shows an antiferromagnetic increase below 4.9±0.1 K. The former behavior is explained by crystal field (CF) theory. CF levels and wave functions of ground and excited states are determined accurately from analyses of and earlier reported Mössbauer and optical spectra. Analysis of vs. 1/T curve at low temperatures gives the classical nearest-neighbor exchange interaction Jcl=−0.76 K and a weak dipolar interaction Dnn=0.0056 K. CP of polycrystalline sample of Eu2Ti2O7 and Y2Ti2O7 are measured between 1.8-35 and 1.8-120 K respectively and θD vs. T (K) curves are calculated. At 4 K, θD of Eu2Ti2O7 shows a kink and dCP/dT curve show a maximum. Optical results show energy exchange between Eu3+ ions at intrinsic and extrinsic (defect) sites via super-exchange interaction at low temperature which may account for the observed anomalous behavior of and CP.  相似文献

The recent observation at the Tevatron of (uub and ddb) baryons within 2 MeV of the predicted Σb-Λb splitting and of baryons at the Tevatron within a few mega electron volts (MeV) of predictions has provided strong confirmation for a theoretical approach based on modeling the color hyperfine interaction. The prediction of  = 5790-5800 MeV is reviewed and similar methods used to predict the masses of the excited states and . The main source of uncertainty is the method used to estimate the mass difference mb-mc from known hadrons. We verify that corrections due to the details of the interquark potential and to Ξb- mixing are small. For S-wave qqb states we predict , and . For states with one unit of orbital angular momentum between the b quark and the two light quarks we predict , and . Results are compared with those of other recent approaches.  相似文献

Rotational structure in the fundamental band of isobutylene has been examined at room temperature using a combination of FTIR and Pb-salt diode laser instruments. The highest spectral resolution for the FTIR measurements was 0.125 cm−1. Even at this resolution however, rotational structure for the band could be observed and appeared to possess a very regular pattern. A preliminary spectral assignment was obtained using the Watson/Gora asymptotic approximation for a rigid oblate asymmetric rotor. Within this approximation, the band origin was determined to be 890.937 (4) cm−1. Excited state rotational constants, without the inclusion of centrifugal distortions terms, are A = 0.3033(16), B = 0.2801(12) and C = 0.15362 (8) cm−1 respectively. Finally, a full set of spectroscopic constants, including quartic centrifugal distortion constants, were obtained for the band by including the high resolution Pb-salt spectra.  相似文献

The high-resolution infrared spectrum of deuterated fluoroform (DCF3) was studied in the 700 and 1200 cm−1 regions, with the aim of assigning and analyzing the ν4 CF3 asymmetric stretching vibration. The Fermi-type anharmonic coupling between the ν4 = 1 and ν3 = ν6 = 1 rovibrational levels, already mentioned in an early work of Ruoff et al. [Spectrochimica Acta Part A 31A (1975) 1099-1100], was studied here for the first time under high resolution. Assignments in the ν3 + ν6/ν4 band system were confirmed and extended by the identification of the ν3 + ν6 − ν6 and ν4-ν6 bands in the 700 cm−1 region, the latter being enhanced near the Fermi crossings of the studied levels. Data from both the hot and difference bands were included in the analysis. The close separation of the studied vibrational levels of about 14.8 cm−1 produces a large variety of resonance crossings which involve levels with . Besides the Fermi () and Coriolis () resonances, they were accounted for by inclusion of additional higher-order ( and ) interaction terms between the vibrational states. The least-squares fit of more that 16,000 vibration-rotation transitions provides a quantitative reproduction of data in all bands.  相似文献

Rotationally resolved ultrahigh-resolution fluorescence excitation spectra of the S1 ← S0 transition of dibenzofuran have been observed using the technique of crossing a collimated molecular beam and the single-mode UV laser beam. 3291 rotational lines of the band and 3047 rotational lines of the band have been assigned. The band has been found to be a b-type transition, in which the transition moment is along the twofold symmetry axis of this molecule, and only the ΔKa = ± 1 transitions were observed. The excited state is identified to be the S11A1(ππ) state. In contrast with this, the band has been found to be an a-type transition in which the transition moment is along the long axis in plane. It indicates that the intensity of this vibronic band arises from vibronic coupling with the S21B2(ππ) state. We determined the accurate rotational constants and the molecule have been shown to be planar both in the ground and excited states.  相似文献

The aim of this work was to provide a simple justification and applicability limits for the concept of effective Rabi frequency being related to an average atom-field interaction in MOT. We sampled 85Rb MOT with a weak probe beam tuned across the 5P3/2 (F′ = 4) → 5D5/2(F″ = 3, 4, 5) hyperfine transitions, while the 5S1/2(F = 3)  5P3/2(F′ = 4) transition was driven by the red-detuned trapping beam. The probe absorption spectra were registered for a number of detunings Δ and intensities P of the trapping beam. The Autler-Townes splitting δ of the clearly dominating F′ = 4 → F″ = 5 line was the subject of analysis. The character of the space-dependent interactions of atoms with MOT fields is of a complex nature, which brings the notion of the effective Rabi frequency for MOT into challenge. However, we argue that for the range of the typical values of P and Δ, it is justified to characterize MOT with an effective Rabi frequency Ω0eff, by using the intuitive formula , where is a mean scaling factor experimentally determined, basing on predictions of a straightforward 3-level model. We postulate that our simple procedure, providing both the value and the applicability limits of the approach, should be repeated with each new implementation of MOT (e.g., with trap beams realignment), which may change conditions experienced by cold atoms.  相似文献

A TiO2(1 1 0)-(1 × 1) surface was prepared in an ultra-high vacuum, transported in laboratory air, and observed with a scanning tunneling microscope (STM) operated in a vacuum of 10−4 Pa. Empty state images showed atomically flat terraces separated by single-height steps, on which 5-fold-coordinated surface Ti atoms were observed as spots arranged in a rectangular lattice. The Ru(4,4′-dicarboxy-2,2′-bipyridine)2(NCS)2 (N3) dye was adsorbed on the TiO2 surface by immersing the TiO2 wafer into an acetonitrile solution of the dye. In the empty state images, individual N3 molecules were observed as oval particles protruding by 0.6 nm from the TiO2 surface. The oval shape elongated to the [1  0] directions was attributed to electron tunneling from tip to unoccupied states localized at the two carboxyl groups bound to the TiO2 surface.  相似文献

Ultra-thin films of Cr2O3(0 0 0 1) grown on Cr(1 1 0) were investigated by reflection absorption infrared spectroscopy (RAIRS). An absorption band at 720 cm−1 is assigned to a longitudinal optical phonon of Cr2O3. With increasing O2 exposure, this absorption band shifts to higher frequency, which is qualitatively explained by a simple spring model. After successive oxidation with 18O2 and 16O2, two absorption bands corresponding to and were distinctly observed suggesting that oxygen diffusion hardly occurs during the oxide growth. Temperature dependence of the RAIRS spectrum taken from the Cr2O3 film revealed that the absorption band position shifts to lower frequency along with broadening of the band width. Anharmonic coupling with low-frequency phonons and effects of the antiferromagnetic to paramagnetic phase transition are discussed.  相似文献

The rotationally resolved vibronic bands in the forbidden electronic transition of the cumulene carbene C3H2 have been observed in the gas phase by cavity ring down absorption spectroscopy through a supersonic planar plasma with allene as precursor. The band detected in the 16 223 cm−1 region is a result of vibronic interaction and is assigned to a combination of a1 and b2 vibrations with a frequency around 2250 cm−1. Another vibronic band near 15 810 cm−1 has an unusual rotational structure because the Ka = 0-1 subband is absent. It is assigned to a combination of a1 and b1 vibrations, ∼1850 cm−1, which borrow intensity from the near lying state due to a-type Coriolis coupling. A rotational analysis using a conventional Hamiltonian for an asymmetric top molecule yields molecular constants for the vibrational excited levels of the Ã1A2 state, which were used for the determination of the geometry. The stronger transition of C3H2, measured in a neon matrix in the 16 161-24 802 cm−1 range, was not detected. The reason for this is a short lifetime of the state, leading to line broadening.  相似文献

The absorption spectra of jet-cooled AsH2 radicals were recorded in the wavelength range of 435-510 nm by cavity ringdown spectroscopy. The AsH2 radicals were produced by pulsed DC discharge in a molecular beam of a mixture of AsH3, SF6, and argon. Seven vibronic bands with fine rotational structures have been identified and assigned as the , , and (n = 1-3) bands of the electronic transition. Based on the previous studies of AsH2 radical, rotational assignments and rotational term values for each band were obtained, and the molecular parameters including vibrational constants, rotational constants, centrifugal distortion constants, and spin-rotation interaction constants were also determined.  相似文献

The Born-Oppenheimer (BO) equilibrium molecular structure () of cis-methyl formate has been determined at the CCSD(T) level of electronic structure theory using Gaussian basis sets of at least quadruple-ζ quality and a core correlation correction. The quadratic, cubic and semi-diagonal quartic force field in normal coordinates has also been computed at the MP2 level employing a basis set of triple-ζ quality. A semi-experimental equilibrium structure () has been derived from experimental ground-state rotational constants and the lowest-order rovibrational interaction parameters calculated from the ab initio cubic force field. To determine structures, it is important to start from accurate ground-state rotational constants. Different spectroscopic methods, applicable in the presence of internal rotation and used in the literature to obtain “unperturbed” rotational constants from the analysis and fitting of the spectrum, are reviewed and compared. They are shown to be compatible though their precision may be different. The and structures are in good agreement showing that, in the particular case of cis-methyl formate, the methyl torsion can still be treated as a small-amplitude vibration. The best equilibrium structure obtained for cis-methyl formate is: r(Cm-O) = 1.434 Å, r(O-Cc) = 1.335 Å, r(Cm-Hs) = 1.083 Å, r(Cm-Ha) = 1.087 Å, r(Cc-H) = 1.093 Å, r(CO) = 1.201 Å, (COC) = 114.4°, (CCHs) = 105.6°, (CCHa) = 110.2°, (OCH) = 109.6°, (OCO) = 125.5°, and τ(HaCOC) = 60.3°. The accuracy is believed to be about 0.001 Å for the bond lengths and 0.1° for the angles.  相似文献

With the use of a novel titanium:sapphire laser source delivering, upon fourth harmonic generation, narrowband and tunable radiation in the deep-UV, spectroscopic studies were performed on weak Schumann-Runge bands of oxygen. Improved values for rotational and fine structure molecular parameters for the , v = 0-2 states of 16O2 were determined, as well as values for the v = 0-1 states in 18O2. Signal detection was accomplished via cavity ring-down spectroscopy.  相似文献
