An additional pole term and the contributions to it from intermediate states with the same mass but with different spins is calculated for the Compton scattering amplitude on a two-particle system with zero total angular momentum. It is shown that the decomposition of invariant amplitudes on the generalized polarizabilities of the system does not take place if this term is taken into account.  相似文献

We study reggeon quantum mechanics when four-reggeon couplings are present as well as the conventional three-reggeon coupling. We show that as the reggeon intercept is increased an infinite number of states pass through energy zero. We give the values of the intercepts at which states pass through zero, construct the states explicitly, and tell how fast their energy changes with intercept. We show that these higher states do not interfere with the construction of spin models. However, no spin model is possible if the one-reggeon ? three-reggeon coupling is non-zero.  相似文献

The joint state of a system that is in contact with an environment is called lazy, if the entropy rate of the system under any coupling to the environment is zero. Necessary and sufficient conditions have recently been established for a state to be lazy [Phys. Rev. Lett. 106, 050403 (2011)], and it was shown that almost all states of the system and the environment do not have this property [Phys. Rev. A 81, 052318 (2010)]. At first glance, this may lead us to believe that low entropy rates themselves form an exception, in the sense that most states are far from being lazy and have high entropy rates. Here, we show that in fact the opposite is true if the environment is sufficiently large. Almost all states of the system and the environment are pretty lazy-their entropy rates are low for any coupling to the environment.  相似文献

We derive regularity properties for the density of states in the Anderson model on a one-dimensional strip for potentials with singular continuous distributions. For example, if the characteristic function is infinitely differentiable with bounded derivatives and together with all its derivatives goes to zero at infinity, we show that the density of states is infinitely differentiable.  相似文献

作为凝聚态物理中一类新奇准粒子态,Majorana零能模(Majorana zero mode)由于可用来实现拓扑量子计算而成为当前的研究热点.理论预言,Majorana零能模可作为特殊的束缚态出现在一些拓扑超导体的磁通涡旋中.但实际超导体磁通中还可能存在其他低能束缚态或杂质态,这给Majorana零能模的辨别和具体应用带来了困难.目前实验上寻找合适的拓扑超导体系、分辨出清晰的Majorana零能模仍然是十分迫切的.本文主要介绍最近利用高能量分辨的扫描隧道显微镜,对电子掺杂铁硒类超导体(Li,Fe)OHFeSe和单层FeSe/SrTiO3磁通态进行的研究.实验上在前者的自由磁通中观测到清晰的零能模,并进一步测量到Majorana零能模的重要特征—量子化电导.而在后者磁通中只发现常规Caroli-de Gennes-Matricon(CdGM)束缚态,反映出s波对称性的特征.这系列实验既为Majorana零能模物性的进一步研究提供了合适平台,也为澄清铁基超导体中拓扑超导电性的来源提供了线索.  相似文献

Among the various extensions of the CPA, the homomorphic cluster CPA (HCPA) was presented recently as the only approximation (i) having the correct analytical properties, (ii) taking multiple scattering into account and (iii) preserving the symmetry of the original lattice. Though very appealing mathematically, we show in this paper that it does not give the right position for the impurity states in the dilute limit with non zero diagonal disorder. Consequently, even if HCPA satisfies points (i) to (iii) and even if it gives the correct dilute limit for purely off-diagonal disorder, it is to be rejected as a method to study systems with non negligible diagonal disorder.  相似文献

Monolayer molybdenum disulfide(MoS_2) has a honeycomb crystal structure.Here,with considering the triangular sublattice of molybdenum atoms,a simple tight-binding Hamiltonian is introduced(derived) for studying the phase transition and topological superconductivity in MoS_2 under uniaxial strain.It is shown that spin-singlet p+ip wave phase is a topological superconducting phase with nonzero Chern numbers.When the chemical potential is greater(smaller) than the spin-orbit coupling(SOC) strength,the Chern number is equal to four(two) and otherwise it is equal to zero.Also,the results show that,if the superconductivity energy gap is smaller than the SOC strength and the chemical potential is greater than the SOC strength,the zero energy Majorana states exist.Finally,we show that the topological superconducting phase is preserved under uniaxial strain.  相似文献

We consider the behavior of stochastic systems driven by noise with a zero value of spectral density at zero frequency ("green" noise). For this purpose we propose the version of the Krylov-Bogoliubov averaging method to study the systems which are not stationary in the case of an external white noise. We use the ergodicity of a nonlinear random function in the method, and obtain equations for any approximation of the theory. In particular, it is shown in the first approximation that there is an effective potential to describe the averaged motion of the system. We consider a phase-locked loop as an example and show that metastable states are possible. The lifetime of these states essentially increases if the form of a green noise spectrum becomes sharper in the low-frequency region. The high stability of the system driven by green noise is confirmed by numerical simulation. It is important that the theoretical result obtained by the averaging method and the one obtained in the simulation coincide with sufficient accuracy. A graphene nanoribbon with armchair edges is known to have no edge state. However, if the nanoribbon is in the quantum spin Hall state, then there must be helical edge states. By folding a graphene ribbon into a ring and threading it by a magnetic flux, we study the persistent charge and spin currents in the tight-binding limit. It is found that, for a broad ribbon, the edge spin current approaches a finite value independent of the radius of the ring. For a narrow ribbon, inter-edge coupling between the edge states could open the Dirac gap and reduce the overall persistent currents. Furthermore, by enhancing the Rashba coupling, we find that the persistent spin current gradually reduces to zero at a critical value beyond which the graphene is no longer a quantum spin Hall insulator.  相似文献

We discuss some basic aspects of the dynamics of a homogenous Fermi gas in a weak random potential, under negligence of the particle pair interactions. We derive the kinetic scaling limit for the momentum distribution function with a translation invariant initial state and prove that it is determined by a linear Boltzmann equation. Moreover, we prove that if the initial state is quasifree, then the time evolved state, averaged over the randomness, has a quasifree kinetic limit. We show that the momentum distributions determined by the Gibbs states of a free fermion field are stationary solutions of the linear Boltzmann equation; this includes the limit of zero temperature.  相似文献

In terms of the modified Sturm-Liouville theorem, the Levinson theorem for the one-dimensional Klein-Gordon equation with a symmetric potential V(x) is established. It is shown that the number N+ (N-) of bound states with even (odd) parity is related to the phase shift of the scattering states with the same parity at zero momentum as and The solution of the one-dimensional Klein-Gordon equation with the energy M or -M is called as a half bound state if it is finite but does not decay fast enough at infinity to be square integrable. Classical correlation (CC), quantum discord (QD) and entanglement (QE) of two qubits in one-side and two-side decoherence models are investigated. The sudden change of quantum discord (DSC) as well as classical correlation and sudden death of entanglement (ESD) are found. It is proved that QE (QD) presents no sudden change (sudden death). We prove that, for nonzero occupation number of the reservoir, QE must suffer sudden death; For zero occupation number and X-form initial states, we obtain the states which are robust and the states which experience sudden death. It is verified that if DSC and ESD occur under one-side decoherence, then it must appear in the two-side decoherence, while the reverse does not hold. We obtain the boundaries of CC-QE plane and QD-QE plane, and give the state possessing maximal amount of CC (QD) for a given amount of QE.  相似文献

We propose a definition for topological order at nonzero temperature in analogy to the usual zero temperature definition that a state is topologically ordered, or "nontrivial", if it cannot be transformed into a product state (or a state close to a product state) using a local (or approximately local) quantum circuit. We prove that any two-dimensional Hamiltonian which is a sum of commuting local terms is not topologically ordered at T > 0. We show that such trivial states cannot be used to store quantum information using certain stringlike operators. This definition is not too restrictive, however, as the four dimensional toric code does have a nontrivial phase at nonzero temperature.  相似文献

A non-Hermitian topological insulator is fundamentally different from conventional topological insulators. The non-Hermitian skin effect arises in a nonreciprocal tight binding lattice with open edges. In this case, not only topological states but also bulk states are localized around the edges of the nonreciprocal system. We discuss that controllable switching from topological edge states into topological extended states in a chiral symmetric non-Hermitian system is possible. We show that the skin depth decreases with non-reciprocity for bulk states but increases with it for topological zero energy states.  相似文献

We consider nonequilibrium systems such as the Edwards–Anderson Ising spin glass at a temperature where, in equilibrium, there are presumed to be (two or many) broken-symmetry pure states. Following a deep quench, we argue that as time t, although the system is usually in some pure state locally, either it never settles permanently on a fixed length scale into a single pure state, or it does, but then the pure state depends on both the initial spin configuration and the realization of the stochastic dynamics. But this latter case can occur only if there exists an uncountable number of pure states (for each coupling realization) with almost every pair having zero overlap. In both cases, almost no initial spin configuration is in the basin of attraction of a single pure state; that is, the configuration space (resulting from a deep quench) is all boundary (except for a set of measure zero). We prove that the former case holds for deeply quenched 2D ferromagnets. Our results raise the possibility that even if more than one pure state exists for an infinite system, time averages do not necessarily disagree with Boltzmann averages.  相似文献

Interface states at a boundary between regions with different spin-orbit interactions (SOIs) in two-dimensional (2D) electron systems are investigated within the one-band effective mass method with generalized boundary conditions for envelope functions. We have found that the interface states unexpectedly exist even if the effective interface potential equals zero. Depending on the system parameters, the energy of these states can lie in either or both forbidden and conduction bands of bulk states. The interface states have chiral spin texture similar to that of the edge states in 2D topological insulators. However, their energy spectrum is more sensitive to the interfacial potential, the largest effect being produced by the spin-dependent component of the interfacial potential. We have also studied the size quantization of the interface states in a strip of 2D electron gas with SOI and found an unusual (non-monotonic) dependence of the quantization energy on the strip width.  相似文献

We study the interfaces of ground states of ferromagnetic Ising models with external fields. We show that, if the coefficients of the interaction and the magnetic field are periodic, the magnetic field has zero flux over a period and is small enough, then for every plane, we can find a ground state whose interface lies at a bounded distance of the plane. This bound on the width of the interface can be chosen independent of the plane. We also study the average energy of the plane-like interfaces as a function of the direction. We show that there is a well defined thermodynamic limit for the energy of the interface and that it enjoys several convexity properties.  相似文献

It is shown that the potential perturbation that shifts a chosen standing wave in space is a block of potential barrier and well for every wave bump between neighbouring knots. The algorithms shifting the range of the primary localization of a chosen bound state in a potential well of finite width are as well applicable to the scattering functions if states of the continuous spectrum are considered as bound states normalized to unity but distributed on an infinite interval with vanishing density. The potential perturbations of the same type on the half-axis concentrate the scattering wave at the origin, thus creating a bound state embedded into the continuous spectrum (zero width resonance).  相似文献

A one-dimensional non-Hermitian quasiperiodic p-wave superconductor without PT-symmetry is studied.By analyzing the spectrum,we discovered that there still exists real-complex energy transition even if the inexistence of PT-symmetry breaking.By the inverse participation ratio,we constructed such a correspondence that pure real energies correspond to the extended states and complex energies correspond to the localized states,and this correspondence is precise and effective to detect the mobility edges.After investigating the topological properties,we arrived at a fact that the Majorana zero modes in this system are immune to the non-Hermiticity.  相似文献

A formalism is proposed to investigate quantum dynamics of localized states involving highly non-adiabatic time-evolution of electron-lattice systems. The effect of electron itinerancy is projected onto the dynamics of local variables through an integral kernel of Volterra's integral equation. The method is applied to the problem of thermal emission of carriers at deep level centers in semiconductors. It is shown that the real situation is in the adiabatic limit, and the probability of thermal emission of the trapped carriers is one per a single lattice oscillation, if the amplitude of the oscillation exceeds a critical value but zero if not.  相似文献
