关于非线性Lipschitz算子半群生成元的存在性

基于作者先前提出的Lipschitz对偶思想,对非线性Lipschitz算子半群引入了若干Lipschitz对偶概念,得到了一类非线性Lipschitz算子半群存在生成元的特征刻画.这一结果直接将关于C0-半群如下结论推广到了非线性情形:C0-半群具有有界生成元当且仅当它一致连续.     

二阶类摆系统的临界阻尼

首先,分析了一具有特定非线性函数的二阶类摆系统的解的性质;进而,针对具有一般非线性形式的二阶类摆系统,利用微分方程的定性分析方法讨论了其总体性质,并由此给出了估算其临界阻尼的充分性条件．改进了Leonov等人的工作．     

A Semigroup Approach to Queueing Systems

We prove asymptotic stability of the solutions of equations describing a simple queueing system consisting of two machines separated by a finite storage buffer. Following an approach by G. Gupur, we apply the theory of C₀-semigroups and spectral theory of positive operators.     

Rotenberg模型中迁移半群的本质谱

在Lp（1（≤）p＜＋∞）空间中,本文运用半群理论研究了Rotenberg模型中具光滑边界条件的迁移半群的本质谱.采用半群方法和比较算子等方法,证明了对任意的t＞0,s＞0,算子[UH（t）-U0（t）]U0（s）[UH（t）-U0（t）]在Lp（1＜p＜＋∞）在空间中紧和在L1空间弱紧,得到迁移半群VH（t）与V0（t）有相同的本质谱型.     

The Generator of the Transition Semigroup Corresponding to a Stochastic Variational Inequality

One proves that the generator of the transition semigroup of a stochastic differential equation with boundary reflection on a convex set K is the realization of a second order elliptic operator on K with zero oblique derivative boundary conditions. Several implications to parabolic problems with oblique derivative are also derived.     

A Semigroup Approach to Boundary Feedback Systems

In this paper we convert a (linear abstract) initial boundary value problem into an abstract Cauchy problem on some product space and use semigroup methods to solve it. In particular, we apply spectral theory in order to discuss stability under boundary feedback.     

On Some Functions That Send Each Generator of a C0-Semigroup to the Generator of a Holomorphic Semigroup

We give some conditions on functions of the Schoenberg class T for them to send the generators of uniformly bounded semigroup of class C ₀ to the generators of holomorphic semigroups. This generalizes Yosida, Balakrishnan, and Kato's result relating to fractional powers of operators. The functional calculus of generators of C ₀-semigroups which uses the class T was constructed in the preceding articles of the author.     

Radical Semigroup Rings and the Thue--Morse Semigroup

Let R be an associative ring with unit, let S be a semigroup with zero, and let RS be a contracted semigroup ring. It is proved that if RS is radical in the sense of Jacobson and if the element 1 has infinite additive order, then S is a locally finite nilsemigroup. Further, for any semigroup S, there is a semigroup T S such that the ring RT is radical in the Brown--McCoy sense. Let S be the semigroup of subwords of the sequence abbabaabbaababbab..., and let F be the two-element field. Then the ring FS is radical in the Brown--McCoy sense and semisimple in the Jacobson sense.     

Free Spectrum of the Variety Generated by the Five Element Combinatorial Brandt Semigroup

We give an asymptotical bound for the logarithm of the free spectrum of the variety generated by the five element Brandt semigroup. Our bound is much better than any previously known estimate.

Approximating a Feller Semigroup by Using the Yosida Approximation of the Symbol of its Generator

We show that if the pseudodifferential operator −q(x,D) generates a Feller semigroup (T_t)_t≥0 then the Feller semigroups (T_t^(v))_t≥0 generated by the pseudodifferential operators with symbol will converge strongly to (T_t)_t≥0 as ν →∞.

Under the condition that the coefficients are Lipschitz continuous, we study the infinitesimal generator of Markov semigroup corresponding to the multivalued stochastic equation. In order to provide a core of the infinitesimal generator, we investigate the associated multivalued elliptic equation and its viscosity solutions.     

Reduction and Reconstruction Aspects of Second-Order Dynamical Systems with Symmetry

We examine the reduction process of a system of second-order ordinary differential equations which is invariant under a Lie group action. With the aid of connection theory, we explain why the associated vector field decomposes in three parts and we show how the integral curves of the original system can be reconstructed from the reduced dynamics. An illustrative example confirms the results.      

The Cauchy Problem for Second-Order Elliptic Systems on the Plane

Regular solutions to second-order elliptic systems on the plane are representable in terms of A-analytic functions satisfying an operator equation of the Beltrami type. We prove Carleman-type formulas for reconstruction of solutions from data on a part of the boundary of the domain. We use these formulas for solving the Cauchy problems for the system of Lame equations, the Navier–Stokes system, and the system of equations of elasticity with resilience.
