裂纹前端的断裂过程区是引起岩石非线性断裂及尺寸效应的主要原因。利用数字图像相关技术对砂岩开展了三点弯曲梁实验,获得观测区域高精度的全场位移和应变数据,根据断裂韧带区域水平位移和水平应变的分布特征,结合裂尖岩石颗粒变化的微观分析,提出采用裂纹尖端水平位移波动性和水平应变突变性所得到的波动系数和水平应变突变值,确定断裂过程区形状和临界尺寸的方法。结果表明:砂岩断裂过程区的形状为不规则的狭长带状区域,断裂过程区的临界长度为11~13mm,临界宽度为1.58~2.36mm。断裂过程区区域内形变在趋向裂尖时呈指数增加,但其单位区域内的形变增量呈波动状态。该方法能够更加准确判断岩石断裂过程区的范围,有助于分析岩石的非线性断裂特性。  相似文献

动态加载下,混凝土中钢筋的阻裂性能一直是冲击动力学研究领域的难点之一。利用落锤试验机对含缺口的混凝土少筋梁进行三点弯曲试验,分析了不同加载速率下梁的冲击力、跨中挠度、混凝土起裂应变率和钢筋应变。实验结果表明:在一定加载速率范围内(0.885~1.252 m/s),混凝土预制裂缝尖端的裂纹起裂应变率、冲击力最大值、跨中挠度峰值与加载速率呈线性增长关系,当加载速率增至1.771 m/s时,增长趋势减弱;冲击力卸载时,钢筋部分弹性变形恢复导致裂纹产生闭合,裂纹嘴张开位移逐渐减小至恒定值,对裂纹嘴张开位移峰值前的部分曲线进行拟合后得到裂纹嘴张开位移率,结果表明裂纹嘴张开位移率随加载速率的提高而线性增大。  相似文献

The mode I and mode II fracture toughness and the critical strain energy release rate for different concrete–concrete jointed interfaces are experimentally determined using the Digital Image Correlation technique. Concrete beams having different compressive strength materials on either side of a centrally placed vertical interface are prepared and tested under three-point bending in a closed loop servo-controlled testing machine under crack mouth opening displacement control. Digital images are captured before loading (undeformed state) and at different instances of loading. These images are analyzed using correlation techniques to compute the surface displacements, strain components, crack opening and sliding displacements, load-point displacement, crack length and crack tip location. It is seen that the CMOD and vertical load-point displacement computed using DIC analysis matches well with those measured experimentally.  相似文献

A three-nested-deformation model is proposed to describe crack-tip fields in rubber-like materials with large deformation.The model is inspired by the distribution of the measured in-plane and out-of-plane deformation.The inplane displacement of crack-tip fields under both Mode I and mixed-mode(Mode I-II) fracture conditions is measured by using the digital Moire’ method.The deformation characteristics and experimental sector division mode are investigated by comparing the measured displacement fields under different fracture modes.The out-of-plane displacement field near the crack tip is measured using the three-dimensional digital speckle correlation method.  相似文献

This paper describes an experimental arrangement to evaluate stress/strain fields in the process zone of asymmetric adhesively bonded joints. A transparent polycarbonate flexible beam was bonded to an aluminium alloy rigid block with an epoxy adhesive in a Single Cantilever Beam (SCB) configuration. The flexible adherend was loaded in the direction parallel to the initial crack front at constant rate. To monitor strains induced by bending and shear along the beam, electric strain gauges were attached to the upper surface of the flexible adherend. Thus strain distribution was measured above the bonded surface, which could be used to monitor crack propagation and investigate stress redistribution in the process zone. A Timoshenko beam lying on a Pasternak elastic foundation model was used for the analysis of experimental findings. Subsequently, the Digital Image Correlation technique was used to measure the flexible substrate in-plane displacement field in the vicinity of the crack front and to assess the specimen kinematics. We found that strain gauge instrumentation of the fracture mechanics specimen was a very sensitive technique for experimental analysis of crack propagation under complex loading, offering fine investigation of stress distribution in the cohesive zone.  相似文献

利用中心线起爆膨胀环加载技术,采用分幅摄影技术观测了20号钢圆环在准一维拉伸作用下,预置圆孔缺陷临近区域的动态断裂特征。获得了高应变率下圆孔的变形、裂纹的萌生及扩展过程。并采用LS-DYNA3D有限元程序分步建模,将驱动器对膨胀环的冲击压力简化为直接作用于圆环内壁的压力历史,以此模拟了整个断裂过程。通过实验图像,得到裂纹尖端的位移以及速度随时间变化的曲线。结果表明,宏观可见裂纹出现于应力集中最大处,裂纹扩展速度随时间振荡,数值模拟与实验结果吻合较好。  相似文献

Optical interferometry is used to measure crackopening profiles for interfacial cracks in a model adhesive joint. Application of boundary displacements with a resolution of 0.16 μm is achieved through a combination of thermal expansions and optical control in a servo loop. The degree of nonlinear deformation accompanying small levels of normal and shear strain across the bond is documented, and crackfront displacement fields are exploited to evaluate possible criteria for crack growth under combined normal and shear loading. Within the accuracy afforded by the crack-propagation investigation it appears that crack growth is governed by the vectorial crack-tip displacements, namely by the vector sum of the local normal and tangential displacement components. In the limit of infinitesimal strains this criterion reduces to the strain energy-release-rate criterion of linear fracture mechanics.  相似文献

Crack tip fields are calculated under plane strain small scale yielding conditions. The material is characterized by a finite strain elastic–viscoplastic constitutive relation with various hardening–softening–hardening hardness functions. Both plastically compressible and plastically incompressible solids are considered. Displacements corresponding to the isotropic linear elastic mode I crack field are prescribed on a remote boundary. The initial crack is taken to be a semi-circular notch and symmetry about the crack plane is imposed. Plastic compressibility is found to give an increased crack opening displacement for a given value of the applied loading. The plastic zone size and shape are found to depend on the plastic compressibility, but not much on whether material softening occurs near the crack tip.On the other hand, the near crack tip stress and deformation fields depend sensitively on whether or not material softening occurs. The combination of plastic compressibility and softening(or softening–hardening) has a particularly strong effect on the near crack tip stress and deformation fields.  相似文献

通过对不同韧性材料在各种平面复合载荷形式下裂纹启裂阶段裂端变形、启裂位置和扩展方向的系统的宏微观实验验证及计算分析,考察了韧性断裂参数空穴扩张比的分布特征和裂纹启裂及扩展方向的关系.得到:对于不同韧性的材料,在裂端的钝化变形区域,空穴扩张比的极大值区对应干裂纹的启裂位置,裂纹启裂时钝化裂端前缘空穴扩张比的临界值不敏感于复合比的变化.而对于裂纹启裂后的扩展方向,则需根据具体材料在相应的特定区域中比较空穴扩张比参数极大值的分布特征,需经进一步的分析,从而确定裂纹的扩展方向.实验及计算结果表明,尽管复合型断裂时裂纹启裂及扩展的机理极其复杂,用于韧性材料复合型断裂的空穴扩张比参数仍能很好地预测裂端的启裂及扩展方向,可作为复合型韧性断裂过程的控制参数.  相似文献

竹材层合板是为了满足一定的使用要求,由多层单向板按同一方向整齐排列、胶合、加热固化处理而成的复合结构体。由于竹材层合板的各向异性和非均匀性,它的力学行为十分复杂,特别是弯曲时不仅各个单层产生损伤破坏,而且伴随着层间胶接层的开裂。本文对竹材层合板的弯曲破坏特征进行实验研究;一系列包含变形信息的数字散斑图像被记录;采用数字散斑相关技术(DSCM)提取了三点弯曲变形过程中的面内位移场信息,分析了不同变形阶段的位移场;给出了不同弯曲变形阶段试件的应变场分布和应变集中现象;分析了中性轴在胶层开裂、层内纤维撕裂等复杂应力情况下的演化过程及规律。最终一些宏微观破坏机制被分析,例如基体开裂,界面损伤与撕裂,界面与裂纹作用等。这些研究结果将为竹材层合板的破坏机理等力学行为的研究和工程应用开发提供实验依据。  相似文献

The simple asymptotic problem of an impermeable crack in an electrostrictive ceramic under electric loading is analyzed. Closed form solutions of elastic fields are obtained by using the complex function theory. It is found that the KI-dominant region is very small compared to the electric saturation zone. A fracture parameter for an electrostrictive material subjected to electric loading is discussed. In order to investigate the influence of the transverse electric displacement on fracture behavior under the small-scale conditions, we also consider the modified boundary layer problem of a crack in an electrostrictive material. Analytic solutions of electric displacement fields for the asymptotic problem are obtained based on the nonlinear dielectric theory from a modified boundary layer analysis. The shape of the electric displacement saturation zone is shown to depend on the transverse electric displacement. Stress intensity factors induced by the electrostrictive strains are evaluated using the nonlinear solution of the electric displacements. It is found that the transverse electric displacement affects strongly the variation of the mode mixity.  相似文献

Study of a Crack at a Fastener Hole by Digital Image Correlation   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In this work the efficacy of using digital image correlation to determine stress intensity factors for a crack emanating from a fastener hole has been investigated. To this end a fatigue crack was grown in pure mode I from a 50 mm diameter hole in an Al 7010 alloy plate test-piece. This crack was then loaded elastically under several combinations of mixed mode (I + II) displacements. In each case, images of the sample surface before and after the deformation were recorded using a high resolution digital camera. The surface preparation consisted only of scratching the surface lightly with silicon carbide abrasive paper. The crack location and resulting displacements were then calculated using digital image correlation. The analytical displacement fields for a traction free crack under arbitrary loading conditions based on the Muskhelishvili’s complex function approach were fitted to the experimentally measured displacement fields and the mixed mode stress intensity factor was determined in each case. Good agreement with the nominal applied values was obtained. The uncertainty of the crack tip position has a major influence on the accuracy of the stress intensity factors and so the Sobel edge finding filter was successfully applied to experimental displacement fields to establish precisely the crack tip location. 基于74mm直径分离式Hopkinson杆(SHPB)实验平台进行了混凝土杆的一维应力层裂实验.采用超高速相机(采样频率:2 $\mu$s/frame)结合数字图像相关法(DIC),记录混凝土试件中的动态位移场实时变化情况,探讨了混凝土在拉伸断裂过程中的表面位移场及速度场演化规律.针对实验中出现的多重层裂现象,基于一维应力波传播理论,指出各个位置在发生层裂时,其最大拉应力均由透射压缩波与反射拉伸波叠加而成,各处层裂发生时均处于一维应力状态.并提出了根据层裂位置左右两点速度趋势变化判断层裂发生时刻的判据.该判据可以给出所有层裂的起裂时间,结合DIC分析直接给出了混凝土多重层裂应变.结果显示混凝土的拉伸强度具有明显的应变率效应,在30 s$^{-1}$的应变率下,其拉伸强度的动态增强因子(DIF)可以达到5.与传统的波叠加法和自由面速度回跳法相比,DIC全场分析法不受加载波形限制,可以精确给出每个层裂的位置和起裂时间,从而得到试件在高应变率加载下不同位置处的断裂应变、拉伸强度及相应应变率,提高了测量效率.   相似文献

The fracture behavior of center-notched unidirectional borsic/titanium composites under uniaxial tensile loading has been investigated. Load-crack-opening displacement (COD) curves were obtained for crack length-to-width ratios ranging from 0.05 to 0.5. The COD was measured across the crack surfaces by means of laser interferometric displacement gage (gage length of 500 μm). As expected, the interferometric displacement gage (IDG) was very sensitive to the appearance of damage at the crack tip, yielding nonlinear load-COD curves. The crack-tip damage in borsic/titanium was found to grow coplanarly with the original crack and consist of fiber breaks and matrix plastic deformation, the former preceding the latter. The failure mode and the crack-tip-damage growth were found to be different from those observed in unidirectional boron/aluminum and these differences are discussed. The examination techniques include radiography, SEM, photomicrographs, interference microscope and optical-interferometry technique. It was found that the fracture strengths and crack-tip-damage growth can be analyzed by the analytical models proposed in the literature. The resistance-curve method was also tried and found to be applicable. A correlation has been established among the fracture strength, crack-opening displacement and failure mode.  相似文献

为研究混凝土裂纹断裂过程和最大承载力计算方法,通过实验机对四种不同尺寸混凝土紧凑拉伸断裂试件进行了加载过程实验,并对其中一个试件进行应变片跟踪测试.由实验结果分析得到了一系列关系曲线,如试件的载荷-加载点位移关系曲线,断裂损伤区变形随载荷变化曲线;并且计算了不同尺寸断裂试件的应力强度因子.结合计算粘聚裂纹应力强度因子的公式与断裂准则,完成了对承载力理论值的计算,并将其与实验峰值平均值进行对比,其结果是两者相比误差较小,表明此种计算裂纹结构最大承载力方法是可行的.  相似文献

This study presents an integrated approach combining experimental tests and numerical modeling to characterize mode I fracture behavior of bituminous paving mixtures subjected to a wide range of loading rates at intermediate temperature conditions. A simple experimental protocol is developed using the semi-circular bending (SCB) test geometry. The local fracture behavior at the initial notch tip of the SCB specimens is monitored using high-speed cameras with a digital image correlation (DIC) system. The DIC results of the SCB fracture tests are then simulated using a finite element method that is incorporated with material viscoelasticity and cohesive zone fracture. Fracture properties are obtained locally at the notch tip by identifying two cohesive zone fracture parameters (cohesive strength and fracture energy) that result in a good agreement between test results and numerical simulations. The results clearly present significant rate-dependent fracture characteristics of bituminous paving mixtures at intermediate service temperatures. This study further demonstrates that fracture properties of viscoelastic materials need to be characterized at the local fracture process zone when they present ductile fracture behavior.  相似文献

为研究花岗岩侧向变形及脆性破坏机制,对花岗岩试件进行单轴压缩实验。利用动态应变采集系统、数字散斑相关方法(DSCM)和显微观测手段,记录并分析花岗岩试件在单轴压缩过程中的宏观侧向应变、局部侧向应变以及破裂面形貌,并与水泥砂浆试件的破坏过程对比,讨论了花岗岩脆性破坏机制。实验与分析结果表明:(1)花岗岩试件在加载初期发生侧向收缩变形,产生并发展于压密阶段,消失于线弹性阶段初期,这主要由于试件内部裂纹闭合造成的;此后,宏观侧向应变持续增长,当侧向应变与轴向应变之比接近0.5时试件破坏;(2)在峰值载荷前很长一段时间内,局部侧向应变在一定范围内波动,临近试件破坏时局部侧向应变最大值和最小值均出现较大幅度的波动,二者差值迅速增大,试件不均匀程度增大,最终导致试件破坏;(3)在峰值载荷前有无塑性屈服阶段是峰值载荷后脆性破坏程度的重要影响因素,而宏观裂纹的贯通程度是峰值载荷后应力降大小的决定因素。  相似文献

Strain and damage interactions during tearing of a ductile Al-alloy with high work hardening are assessed in situ and in 3D combining two recently developed experimental techniques, namely, synchrotron laminography and digital volume correlation. Digital volume correlation consists of registering 3D laminography images. Via simultaneous assessments of 3D strain and damage at a distance of 1-mm ahead of a notch root of a thin Compact Tension-like specimen, it is found that parallel crossing slant strained bands are active from the beginning of loading in a region where the crack will be slanted. These bands have an intermittent activity but are stable in space. Even at late stages of deformation strained bands can stop their activity highlighting the importance of plasticity on the failure process rather than damage softening. One void is followed over the loading history and seen to grow and orient along the slant strained band at very late stages of deformation. Void growth and strain are quantified. Gurson–Tvergaard–Needleman-type simulations using damage nucleation for shear, which is based on the Lode parameter, are performed and capture slant fracture but not the initial strain fields and in particular the experimentally found slant bands. The band formation and strain distribution inside and outside the bands are discussed further using plane strain simulations accounting for plastic material heterogeneity in soft zones.  相似文献

断裂是一个跨尺度复杂的物理过程,对宏观尺度的断裂行为已有深入的研究和发展,然而对微观尺度的断裂行为及断裂过程中应力场的变化缺乏深入的理解。本文通过分子动力学模拟,研究了具有不同初始缺陷(尖锐裂纹、钝裂纹和孔洞)的单晶镍的断裂行为和应力分布特征。结果表明,不同的初始缺陷导致了不同的断裂机制、断裂强度和抗断裂性能。含初始孔洞的单晶镍样品有最高的断裂强度和最强的抗断裂性能,这与孔洞扩展过程中堆积层错的形成密切相关。其次是含初始钝裂纹的样品,在裂纹扩展过程中出现由[100]超位错发射引起的裂尖钝化;含尖锐裂纹的样品表现为脆性断裂,裂尖原子没有出现微结构的变化,其强度和抗断裂性能最低。此外,不同的初始缺陷也会导致断裂过程中应力分布的变化,对含有尖锐裂纹的脆性断裂试样,高应力(拉伸应力、平均应力和米塞斯应力)总是出现在扩展裂纹的裂尖。而对于含有钝裂纹或孔洞的韧性断裂试样,高应力不仅分布在裂尖,也分布在位错发射和堆积层错形成的区域,在裂纹/孔洞扩展之前,应力随着加载时间的增加而迅速增加,而一旦裂纹或孔洞开始扩展,应力增加非常缓慢或几乎不增加,但拉伸应力值始终大于平均应力和米塞斯应力值。这表明,在I型...  相似文献

薄板结构仅在较小的荷载下就能产生较大的位移、旋转,甚至引发结构产生裂纹并扩展,进而发生结构整体断裂,因此,建立薄板结构在大变形过程中的裂纹扩展及断裂仿真模型,具有重要的工程实际意义.文章建立了用于薄板结构几何大变形和断裂分析的近场动力学(PD)和连续介质力学(CCM)耦合模型.首先基于冯·卡门假设,采用更新的拉格朗日法得到薄板在几何大变形增量步下的虚应变能密度增量公式,并利用虚功原理和均质化假设求出几何大变形微梁键的本构模型参数;接着分别建立几何大变形薄板PD模型与CCM模型的虚应变能密度增量,并建立了薄板几何大变形PD-CCM耦合模型;最后模拟了薄板结构在横向变形作用下的渐进断裂过程,得到与实验结果高度一致的仿真结果,验证了所提出的几何非线性PD-CCM耦合模型的精度.结果表明:本文所提出的薄板PD-CCM耦合模型具有简单高效,无需考虑材料参数限制和边界效应的特点,可以很好地用于预测薄板结构在几何大变形过程中的局部损伤和结构断裂,有利于薄板结构的断裂安全评价和理论发展.  相似文献
